Don't know if it was the continual traffic that put us off, but we had no luck at this cache. TFTC
I reckon it's neither! Sniffly child is what first comes to mind as a kids bodyboard, was conveniently located right under the lampost at GZ, probably sniffing out the mint-tin to see if there were any refreshing goodies left. Not the case, although the lid was actually missing. Made a nice, quick find here. TFTC G-2!
A beautiful, sunny day enticed me to head outside on a caching trip where I ended up walking around Orewa, Millwater and Silverdale for 8 hours between 11:30am and 7:30pm! In total I made 40 finds including 30 traditional's and 10 AL's... Thanks very much to all CO's who placed caches around this lovely area!

Eyes starting to grow weary now so very grateful that Puppy Pig wasn't hiding too well and we could sign it off today. TFTC

All good away from prying eyes of passing and residential muggles.
Onto the main business of the day, the largest of two loops which encompassed all the caches I never completed last time I was in the area. The rain and drizzle was steady for most of it and only really came to any real effect when I was at the point furthest from the car, of course!!
Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

Very busy at this roundabout for a Sunday afternoon but managed to make a quick grab for it in between all the cars passing by.
Out for a bike ride around the estuary with AliGle, stopped to look for this cache using the bike as a shield too my activities! A quick find, TFTC!
Sneaky piggy, definitely!
MrNZT did the honours while MrsNZT hung back. Signed and on our way to the next cache. TFTC!

GAR took the dogs back to the car while I went only slightly out of the way to try and convert this spot to a smile on the geocaching map - way to feel conspicuous though and would rather have had the company. Could hear people talking in the house behind me (not about me) and several cars drove past. But couldn't leave this unfound while parked so close. Luckily it was an easy one. Thanks G-2. Hope I was enough of a sneaky piggy in finding it. Last of the day.
The big bad wolves must have been cooking their dinner already as they didn't bother us. I had to wait for a few cars to go past to return it. Another easy smile, thanks
At the moment, if you bring your hi-viz you will surely be muggle proof! Quick find and happy that the sun has reappeared. TFTC
Decided to take the opportunity to collect a few caches around this part of Auckland as the weather was forecast'd to be excellent and clear, and I had not been up here for a very long time. An advantage was also that it gave me an opportunity to go for a bit of a bike ride once the sun came up.
Started out the day in the dark and still managed to make it home by mid afternoon so all in all not such a bad day to be had in the sun.
This area has continued to grow over the time and the parks are now fully developed. This part of the morning I got the MTB out and headed off to see what I could locate. Pretty much had the entire place to myself with only a few walkers out and about. Made a quick find here.
A big thanks to all the Co's whom have taken the time and effort to maintain the caches.
thanks for the cache, thanks for the placement.

Evening walk in pursuit of some caches...lots of inaccessible areas around here... was aajdtm quickly grab sign and return to the sound of music practise nearby. Tftc
Quick park and walk before anyone was awake and watching. Lots of road closures, not sure why. T4tc
Had to be a little sneaky here as there was people sitting on their balcony nearby, hopefully didn’t give it away. TFTC
Lots of muggles out on the porches enjoying the sun!! Great to see but it means we had to do a walk past and grab!! simple enough yay!!
I had to be careful here. Road nearby is closed bit traffic still heavy. All good .TFTC
After a day in Auckland, decided to call in to Silverdale to grab a few caches on the way home, and make the day really worthwhile. It's been many many years since I have been into Silverdale and I was blown away by the amount of development here which just seemed to go on and on. Amazing.
Once I sussed out a parking spot not too far away, walked back to look for this one. Had a good idea where it would be thanks to the good hint and bingo, found it straight away. TFTC

A challenging hide due to the muggle population who were out in force.
If there are any Ronnie Barker fans reading this you may be pleased to hear that we managed a successful retrieval using a tactic that could be likened to "slopping our dripper" .
We left quickly before the muggles in the marge lansion became suspicious.

Decided on a trip to Millwater this morning to grab a bunch of caches to qualify for a few more Hidden Creatures Souvenirs...Another nice quick find here...between walking/running/biking/driving muggles. TFTC
Today was the day that I wanted to pick up a few new and a few old caches in the Millwater area.
Had to pick my moments for this one.
Cheers for the cache.

Forgot the pen and when I came back kids were on the roundabout trying to find. Quickly sherperded them away
Working up at Silverdale this morning, so travelled a bit further to make this find. Parked nearby and walked to GZ where the cache was quickly found between passing cars. Walked away to write the log then replaced under similar circumstances. No puppies nor piggies were seen today.
A favourite with dogs, every now and again we become conscious of how many objects/grass etc we cachers touch that dogs use as their toilets....sorry but its true (must pack hand sanitiser). Anyway, cache found, thanks
I thought there was a cache around here before, but it must have been replaced. Every time a car came by I tried looking nonchalant, but I'm sure a few drivers figured I was up to something. Nevertheless, I got the cache. TFTC.
Quite a nice and easy one, though highly exposed location. This is the third time in 20 minutes that I had to tie my shoes.
could see this one as we approached form far out.., of course being cachers we knew what it meant but others would likely not... managed to one of the best eve slight of hands on this one.. just a shame the pen wouldnt appear in the hand that well... log dry...
Out and about for a spot of geocaching fun today, in the fine company of Gorby. Nice weather for it, that is for sure. We parked up a little further along and made the walk back to GZ. Soon had the goods in hand. Cheers for the cache placement!
Me and Lostcourse are timing our caches today so that he can get home by 2:30pm and pick his son up from school. We had time for this cache and one more. Parked up close as I could and wandered back to make the find. Nice one G, thanking you for all the caches you have put out for our benefit.
Enjoyed the bit of sun today for some geocaching and a stroll around the area. Not a lot of muggles today made this one easy. TFTC
Back in the area to finish some of these more recent caches. Easy hint and quick find in between traffic heading past this spot. Cheers for the fun caches around here.
Fourteenth find of the day out with PHILBIRDBOYS, hopefully the rain holds off! Nice quick find, TFTC.
Picking up a few local caches and this was on the list. Nice straight forward find here. Thanks
Wow ...having a very easy time of it today with this handful of new caches !
Thanks !
Thanks !
Out this way again with Jag50 and Merlot58. Again can't believe we are second to find! Had no issue finding this one.
We were up in Orewa again collecting some of the new caches. I remember getting one very close to here only a few weeks ago, that sneaky piggy moved! Wow, didn't expect to be joint 2tf on this!
Merlot58, Aiden29 and ourselves returned to the sunny Orewa to collect some new caches that had been published since the last time we had been up here. Nice surprise again today when we finally extracted the log to see we were 2TF
Surpised to see this still unfound this morning. Assumed Gorby would have been up here before daylight getting his fix before heading back down to work. Anyways, day off today and we were still in need of our daily cache so we thought we would head up this way and collect it so AlunB could enjoy his lunch break and fuel up properly to get through the remainder of the day.
The big bad wolves must be at work today. All quiet around gz. Nobody enjoying thier lattes in their outdoor living spaces this morning. Scotty soon had this pig dog cornered and micro chipped. TFTC & (FTF)

Nicely put kiwiscot19! I see you have read alunb's logs and mine... one of the big bad wolves had to work harder today... so no slacking off to go caching! I'm sad.... very sad...
Blimmin unbelievable !! I just can't seem to keep up with this piggy, must be those beans !!
I came back up on Saturday and did some more caches, so reckon I must have been past this spot at least five or six times. Just when you think you have him cornered, hes circled back around and is behind ya again. Way to quick for me, lol
