With a rather imposing timber fence recently constructed, the cache location is no longer readily accessible. Alas, it's time for Morty's first flight to come to an end. Thanks to those who found it.

There is a bit of work being done in the area around GZ. As it was a Sunday I thought it would be quiet, which it was, but no sight of a container.

Managed to find before last light. Morty's aircraft was not equipped for flight in instrument conditions. All good.

After I looked in the wrong place but with the correct idea the Goose came up with the goods on this one and we were soon adding our names to the logbook.
We did look at the food place as an option for dinner but we moved on to the next cache before we made up our minds.

Thanks for the cache.

Myself and goose of gooseandegg planned a trip North into the badlands to get some caches to help with our hidden creatures finds, early start for a Saturday with me picking Goose up at around 7 O'clock even with a couple of stops along the way we made good time which helped us to clock up 42 finds on the Saturday and 24 on the Sunday before heading back to the civilised South, getting back in my drive at just gone 6pm with 580kms under my belt, 66 caches in 35 hours while not a bad haul is less than 2 an hour, I must try harder next time!

Found at 17:07 on 07/07/2018

I don't remember paying for parking here before. Usually it's been a quick fuel stop and grab something to go on the northern day trips for work. So we paid $1.50 to stop for five minutes and went searching. Stainless steel rat had the right idea but the wrong place. After that plan failed I went over to the proper GZ and grabbed the cache quickly. We signed the log and replaced it before anyone came through here. Thanks dankpig, the cache numbers are adding up nicely

Hello dankpig thank you for the cache.

A very quick find at night.

I wanted to find some caches so I could get some Hidden Creatures souvenirs that I can proudly display on my profile page that no one will see.
I travelled up from Hobart for this search.

Visited this the other day and couldn't find it. Gave up pretty quick cos being a punk makes me look shifty as hell when I loiter around inspecting random stuff. Today I thought about it and the hint finally clicked (took me long enough geez Louise) so came back tonight and got it in two seconds. TFTC

thanks for the cache dankpig. Found with RLD4963 on a visit to Launceston. After having some lunch, decided to take a wander around the CBD to see if we could find some nearby caches as the weather was a bit grey and a bit drizzly. There was a high muggle factor as we approached GZ so tried our best to be as inconspicuous as possible. Cache found easily and log signed. Hope we got away with it, cheers.

After a nice lunch in town we stopped by to find this cache. The party consisted of Wiglet. VikingErik, Crystal Warrior, and wing6rider. We were able to bypass the fencing to nab the cache. Thanks colliflowers.

Found this one whilst over in Tassie doing a whirlwind seven day tour around this amazing island state. Home again now, tired but happy, and committed to returning another time to explore some more. Didn't find that many caches during the time I was there, but this was one that I did manage to sneak off from my muggle companions and find. Yay!! Finally I get a smiley on the map for Launceston - not having much luck around this city at all. Was beginning to feel like I had lost my caching mojo. But I found this one, and all is good in my world again. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, one that I could find that is, lol. Cheers dankpig.

To find this one we had to be at a shopping area, It took a little time but in the end we found it and could log our names unnoticed.

Hi there dankpig.

We found your cache **"Morty's First Flight"** at 10:24:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18561).

The plan today was to log a random cache some distance from our camp site, and then find a few more caches using the "next closest" method. We started our journey in Launceston CBD and had a great day even though the tall buildings make the GPS jump around quite a bit! Wink

There is some temporary fencing around GZ, but luckily Ian's arms were long enough to reach through to retrieve the cache.

Free parking in the city on Sunday is a great way to find a few caches without having to worry about feeding parking meters or getting a ticket. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey & found 10 caches (& DNF'd 0).

Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.

**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

We thought the temporary fence around GZ may have stymied the find, but alas we managed to reach through and come up with the prize. Thanks dankpig for organising the cache.

We arrived in Launceston today to meet up with maccamob for a few days caching on the Apple Isle.

Parking here was our biggest problem and after going around the block a couple of times we found a park and headed off to gz. As we approached we started to become a bit concerned as where the GPSr was pointing was fenced off by temporary fencing. We continued on and sure enough gz was inside the fence and fortunately after a quick look we realised that with a little bit of effort we could still get one hand on the cache which was enough to enable us to add our names to the log book and also admire the workmanship that's gone into this hide.
A favourite point from us.

Thanks dankpig for the cache.

Found by Mary & David, in company with Team Crackers, at 1645. The name made sense as we approached, but the "barrier" is still in place. Some fancy finger work did the trick, though. With all the food establishments here, just as well we weren't hungry. Our thanks to dankpig.

06-Nov-17
A reasonably quick find made, slightly challenging by a structure put in front of it.

22-Oct-17
If our GPS was accurate the area where the cache is situated is temporarily unavailable and fenced off. We did have lunch here though so the stop was not a total waste of time. Thanks.

This was the first find of the day.
It was Sainted at 0837hrs after a quick search and find. No muggles at this time of the morning.

Whilst we were away in April and May, a number of new caches were published in the north of the state. Now that we have caught up on the immediate priorities, we turned our attention today to some of the new caches. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a relatively quick find. The only complication came from the auto tinting lens on our glasses resulting in us not seeing the cache until we had been out of the sun for a minute or so. Thanks dankpig for another very well constructed and placed cache.
