With hatzofff and crew.hatzofff has had this particular cache on her to do list for quite some time, so today there's the opportunity to look for it, and so it is. It nicely fills an "oldies"spot for a challenge. Log signed and cache replaced as found at 5:51 PM on October 23, 2024. TFTC, Jackoschitt.
Found on my visit to QLD. No pen so could not log it. Took a while to find it but don't know why? It was so easly
TFTC. Took a lot longer than Id like to admit. We forgot our pen. But loved the number of little toys in the box.
I always like to seek out long hidden caches while travelling so this was a nice one to find. A bit of a search before it presented itself once the GPS stopped bouncing around! TFTC
I took a little shark toy and left a hair tie! Warning to anyone who goes for this one bring bug spray and inclosed shoes theres lots of spiders and bugs around.
Found it! Recommend wearing inclosed shoes and insect repellent as there is lots of mosquitoes and spiders
Parked on the other side of the creek and walked over to find the cache with minimal camo. All in good condition though, thanks for keeping this old cache going.
Really great area to explore and visit for a cool swim in the Aussie summer!!Fun and epic find, not to difficult and lovely walks out in nature.10/10 recommended!
We had headed up to Yandina for a social outing but once that was over, we headed off to grab some of the great geocaches around this part of the world. We stopped here as we made our way toward home since this cache is on the list of Queensland 100 oldest geocaches. Thanks for find #5208TNLN
Found with mezza74.Visiting family in the Sunshine Coast had a list of solved caches and a few that help with challenges we are working on.Thanks Jackoschitt for maintaining this golden oldie.

Today Willis007 and I came up to Buderim for an event and found a few caches afterwards.
Willis007 had previously found this one but was happy to accompany me to find this oldie. A quick find of this big old cache. All good here. Tftc

I went with TBU2Uwe001 couple of weeks ago and found this cache, signed the log.

Thankfully coords were fairly accurate and after a short search the cache located. Nice area for a wander.
Arriving close to GZ, I spotted a likely hiding spot so headed straight there, looked for a moment and then looked up and spotted the cache. Wow! Amazing that it’s still there after all this time, considering it’s size. The inside of the container had about 10ml of water in it, so I drained it out the best I could. The log is also wet. I tried to blot out the water with my shirt and was able to sign the log. There is a bag that I assume is for a TB marked, OCD3TG, however there is no TB in this cache. Happy to have another oldie. Out for a day of catching up with the muggle bestie up the coast and thought I would do a spot of caching to keep filling in this area. On the way to his place I decided to stop in at this one quickly to refresh after the stupidly long drive (apparently everyone wanted to be at the coast today!). Short walk through the lovely bushland to this cache with the view of the beautiful creek.
Approaching GZ I found a way in and located the ideal spot for the cache and thought this would be rather quick. But alas, it wasn't there....spotted another perfect location and went off to search - using my convenient tool to drag away any potential critters or their homes I may come across. Sadly, cache wasn't there either. Stumped, I turned around and aha! There was the cache, larger than I thought it would be and very simple to find. I grabbed out the log (quite wet in there), signed it, dropped in a trackable, and put it all back as neatly as it was found.
Then....found a much easier way out than I had originally came in.

Spent an afternoon out exploring to find a number of caches in the area, thanks for bringing us here!
On our 4th attempt in 3 years, we have finally made it from Camden to Currimundi and are spending Christmas with our family who live up here ️ it is lovely to be back on the sunny coast after so long ️
This morning we were due to catch-up with some friends but unfortunately our plans fell through. Oh well, we know how we can fill in that time! So, bringing up our pre prepared list, we headed out to grab a few caches.
Not terribly familiar with Mountain Creek so didn't know about this nice walking path here. We enjoyed the stroll before making our way over the clump of trees where we made a quick find of this large container. Unfortunately it was a bit wet and yucky inside and it seems the original log book is now a sopping, mouldy mess but somebody has popped in a bit of paper which we signed. A shame there isn't more swag in a container of this size. Had not realised when this on the list that it is a golden oldie hidden back in 2002! Always good to find the oldies. It has done well to stay in place for this long given it is quite close to suburbia. TFTC!

Today we found Mountain Creekside on our travels. We are on another visit from Melbourne just because…well, maybe it’s all those puzzles we solved during those many lockdowns! Having the opportunity to sign some actual logs is exciting! We targeted this cache for its age. We brought a replacement log in a zip lock bag with us in case the log was still soggy as suggested by the previous finder. The log may dry out eventually as the inside of the cache was dry today, but the log was still quite damp so we added an alternative.
Thanks JackoSchitt for being part of our geocaching fun.

Found it, was full of water and unable to sign log. We emptied out the water and put the lid back on. Lots of spiders around
Such a lovely bit of bushland. Cache found and log signed. Happy 20th anniversary!! TFTC
Yeah, another oldie found and signed. Opening the logbook, I see the cache has recently had it’s 20th birthday. How fabulous. Congratulations to ‘Jackoschitt’ on the milestone.
JackoSchitt I found your cache Mountain Creekside on 13/7/2022, 2:05 pm. This is my find 3739 and find # 3 today. Apparently I was looking in the wrong spot last time. Corrected my error and found it quickly after searching in another area. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Did the brush turkey thing at GZ then found it in an easier location not far away. TFTC
JackoSchitt I didn’t find your cache Mountain Creekside on 8/6/2022, 3:03 pm. Searched in and around the tree stump and found nothing.
Decided to take a couple of kids out caching with Nayfee on this beautiful day. Nice little walk and a beautiful lake near by. Cache was quickly located along with a giant 8 legged friend guarding it. Log signed and returned!

Alycem89, YouTubemouseboy and myself decided to venture back to the Sunny Coast to knock out a few more caches and to make the of the lovely weather we've been having recently.
I was completely unaware this old cache was so close to Mooloolaba and we've been here several times yet we've never noticed it, so we added it to our "must grab" pile.
Too our surprise this was a rather simple find just sitting in a random location. I grabbed the cache and went to move it and that's when I noticed the huge Huntsman who claimed the container for himself, so I grabbed myself a branch and gently knocked the container towards me hoping the bugger would retreat and sure enough he did. We popped the cache open and added our names to the log.
Another Q100 done! Thanks for bringing us here.

Went geocaching with my family and found this ancient cache with a huntsman on the bottomTFTC!!!
Received a message from Peppa to see if I was interested in heading up to the Sunshine Coast to find some caches to fulfil our quota needed for a recent Challenge "Field Puzzles in January". I needed about 7 to qualify, so took up the offer. My muggle friend from Sydney tagged along for the ride.
When organising the day, Peppa asked if I had found this cache and I replied "no", so it was added to the list of targeted caches.
A lovely stroll to this cache were we unearthed the container.
A bit lacking in swag and unfortunately left my swag-bag in the car, so only could baggie the logbook to protect it from the damp. SL then returned as found.
Great to see such an old cache still going strong...

With my plans changing at the last minute, I suggested to Patrol14 that we could both take care of that new Field Puzzle Challenge by hitting the Sunshine Coast and concentrating on that attribute… we were pretty successful and managed to stick to the list… mostly…
With stories from the backseat courtesy of Dieter “the muggle” possum we drove up from Brisbane…
I was surprised when Patrol14 said she didn’t have this one, so it was a must do for us today… I imagine that almost 20 years ago this was quite different…
Some of the contents look and smell 20 years old, so we replaced the snap lock bag and added some silica to help with the damp…
Tftc… and for maintaining this oldie for our enjoyment…

I wanted to find a old cache for my 4000th find while on the Sunshine Coast. Being over 19 years old I am pretty sure this one’s qualifies for that privilege.
This was also my 3200th traditional cache found.
I was surprised of the size of this one, obviously has been changed since the original one. But thanks for maintaining this one for all to find. I wonder how long it will take me to get to 5000.
I generally look on my own with some assistance from my wife and son with a few family members on the occasion. As some of the the challenges out there don’t allow Adventure Labs to be used does this really mean I got 4000.

After a lovely paddle out on a nearby waterway this morning, we came to search for this one. It is such an old cache, and lovely that it is still maintained here.
Almost an urban hide.
Thank you jackoschitt

Whilst out in the area I did a quick detour to have a short walk to GZ to search for this one. No problem here, a nice quick find was the order of the day in between showers.
Thanks for the good hide.

On a planned caching day on the Sunny Coast, I made my way up earlier to collect a couple of oldies to finish a challenge.
I walked straight to this one, great to see a decent size cache.
Thank you jackoschitt for keeping this oldie alive.

Quick day trip up to the coast and didn't have time for a lot of caching but wanted this one as it's an oldie. Short search at GZ revealed quite a good sized container! Tftc Jackoschitt
