Found during a caching foray around the greater Gawler area for the morning before heading home through the hills. Thanks for the cache Mattycat!
James0116 was working close to my home today Hence a lunchtime call ended up in our heading out caching together after he finished workCaching around Gawler area, we never actually got to Evanston where we both had caches to find and had planned to start because, you know, cache distractions everywhereI managed 4 finds and even got the Subaru in where I didn't think I'd get itLots of laughs, chatting and a pole cache after dark made for some fun Gorgeous weather made for a lovely evening[:X] so we did Duck up here for a drive by....... Ummmm, fly by! We'd both been wanting to find these caches since we rode the PATOG together so tonight was the night[^]James' legs are better than mine so I played historian and recorded the moment[^]TNLN. SL. Today I headed north to finish an adventure lab that I had started over a year ago and it just happened that this cache was walking distance from the final location I had to visit.I have no idea why I didnt find this cache when I was here January last year when I was finding PATOG caches. Not to worry, now I have another on my map.TFTC MattycatKeep smiling

My weekly Tuesday Trekking caching day was cancelled due to some very bad weather. It was subsequently replaced by a Friday Frolic. [^] I picked up S.A. Sewer Rat from the rat's nest to grab a few caches in the area and attend a local cache maker's event. A shortish but fun day clearing a few caches that continually popped up on my GPS. Nice to have a few different ones pop up now.
The wind was absolutely howling as we walked into this one. Quickly found and signed we started the trek back out. The wind caught under the Rat's hoodie and like Sister Bertrille we almost had a flying Rat! [:o)]

One little duck flew south one day, over the hills and far away... to GZ.
Fresh duckling has landed.

Rubber duckie you're the one
You make cache time lots of fun
Rubber duckie I'm awfully fond of you
Rubber duckie joy of joys
When I squeeze you, you make noise
Rubber duckie you're my very best friend it's true
Oh, every day when I make my way to ground zubby
I find a little fellow who's cute and yellow and chubby
Rub-a-dub-dubby
Rubber duckie, you're so fine
And I'm lucky that you're mine
Rubber duckie, I'm awfully fond of you
Please look after the little duckling!

Day 12, week 2 of 5 weeks holiday.
Rockhampton Queensland to all over South Australia.
18 degrees, still feels like 10 (there’s that lovely cutting wind back again)
Apologies, there is going to be a lot of copy/paste today.
I have decided to walk the trail PATOG while Buttons goes and does a McClouds Daughters tour nearby.
What better use I could put my time to than wandering down a highway while I wait.
Hope she can find me when she’s done. ??
Cache found but with issues.
Have messaged Mattycat.

Ducked up for some maintenance. Seems the duck has flown away, but cache log container still there. Replaced slightly damp log sheet with nice dry one. Those magnificent people in their flying machines are busy today!!!
Maybe the duck will fly back in the summer. But the cache remains safe and sound in its nest.
Did a little cito too. So much junk around!

Quick find. Ninja steath up there. Watched a plane taken off. Logs been soaked previously but was dry enough to sign today. JonesFamily
Out today to finish off the PATOG series and pick up a few others nearby.
It's taken 5 months with a few months off over winter.
After climbing the pyramid this was an easy find.

Up up and away. Took me a while to work out how to get here legally. Thanks Mattycat for the hide.
Out for a long bike ride with Uni and Medusa along the Northen Expressway and beyond. We parked a vehicle at each end and took the mountain bikes along the trails - 48.9kms and 115 caches in around 5 hours.
The bike trail allows one to see a lot more at 20kmh than whizzing past in a car at 110kmh. There is interesting WWII history in amongst the market gardens and salt flats. I really enjoyed the massive redgums and lushness around the Gawler River. On a hot day one would want to take plenty of water, there isn't a lot of shade or facilities along some of the stretches.
This was the last of the series .. sort of. Found a way in, but I decided it would have been quicker walking from the previous cache. Or just doing a drive by!!!
Nice view from the top - see attached photo.
This cache was found at 1:38:00 PM and was 114 of 116 finds today.

I like a view, like planespotting, and I’m fascinated by the whole pyramid thing, so I was quite giddy when I got to GZ and kinda forgot what I was looking for. I signed the log, and was reading some of the other logs as I walked away, and then realized something was missing! I doubled back, and there he was at the base of the pyramid, trying to head north early this year. I’ve returned him to his perch.
An unusual spot for a geocache; you’ve got to love that. Thanks Mattycat.

Today I headed to gawler to go for a 5 hour ride, on my way up there stopped at a few unfound caches.
After missing these 2 caches out here the other day whilst doing the nexy trail (now archived) I returned on foot to find these 2.
A short hike up the hill to watch a glider fly over as I was signing the cache, cache and contents are all good

Out and about with Felixll today gathering a few of the unfound caches around Gawler.
Being out-of-towners, it took us a while to find the entry point to this cache, but it was plain sailing once we did. Thanks Mattycat.
This cache was found on our Geocaching road trip from Perth to Millicent for the GeoVenture2020 Event.

We have hooked up with iluvtrekking as we cache our way to Millicent for GeoVenture 2020..... oops no we aren't we are just out doing best practice for social distancing. Go Geocaching!
This took a bit of effort until we realised the 'correct' parking point rather than just guessing! Grr.

Today we learnt about Anna and found most of the series. We were also lucky enough to meet Lava12 and share cache finds. Later we were spoilt when we were offered to share cake with erine14, alysse14, Clare007 and CPwanderer. We also found two caches together - a good day. Later in the day we walked some of the NEXY, part of a river and we travelled out to the coast. Thanks to all those who made our day enjoyable.

Love this one, i had a laugh upon discovery of it. Sail-Planes being towed up as i SL at 13:37 on Sat. 23 Nov 2019.
I was very aware of 'Jo Blakes' whilst making my way from and back to my Geo-Mobile today. None spotted thankfully [:o]
Although the outer container is looking a bit worse for wear the smaller, inner one and it's contents are doing fine [^]

Headed out after work to clear up some more of the Nexy Challenge. Decided to do some walking rather than bringing the bike so I still have an odd few ones left to do where I decided the walk was too far or if I missed a parking spot.
It was great that earthlight had replaced a few that I hadn't been able to find last time.
Ended up with 15 finds for the afternoon which I was happy with, particularly as I didn't leave work on time due to a black jigsaw getting in the way.
continued on to this one, another nice walk (apart from the grass seed). Found the duck had flown the coop retrieved him and wrapped the rope around his neck in attempt to keep him secured, pretty windy up here and the view was super.

Well that was fun. Knee deep in long grass on a sunny spring day. Cool cache. Thanks
A last minute decision to grab a few DNF's and others that have been teasing the Rat and the Adder on the map for some time.
With the Rat attending a short doctors appointment the Adder headed off to find this elusive hide. One that had been a thorn in his side for far to long. Many times we had passed by this but were unable to stop so many times.
Finding suitable safe parking the walk began.
A fun cache spotted, signed whilst admiring the activities across the road. Replaced and more activities watched before thinking he had better get going to pick up the Rat.
TFTC and a well deserved smiley on the map.

We got tooted by a car with a man in it - tooting car man - Tutankhamun - geddit? Never mind. It was as Egyptian as we could manage. We really did get tooted while on the 'pyramid'. TFTC.
Oops. I didn’t read the cache page before. Stopped here on the way home from a nearby event.

Quick little find. Wasn’t going to let the rain get in the road of a few caches today. Log a little wet but singable. TFTC
Great fun!!! A favourite!!! Nice view .... nice location ..... nice container!!
Went for a fly by, well a walk to, this one. Had to duck down to get to the nice hide here. Very nice view from here. TFTC.
I have been meaning to duck here and grab this one.
Funny place to find one of those.
Once the log was stamped by the rat and owl.
One flew down and the other scurried down. Tftc

You can't do a fly-by on this cache unless you are something like it - nowhere to outland! The dynamic duo weren't too keen on the climb, but no planes were harmed in the finding of this cache - though a glider was just taking off across the road and was in reach if they were so inclined!
It was a great view from where I stand and the small planes were flying around me several times. I don't think the duck wants to fly.
Thanks for the walk.
Thanks Mattycat for the cache

Wasn't sure if I would do this one due to the long grass and possibility of snakes etc., but as I had the bike I decided to ride as far as I could and then take a chance walking the rest of the way.
All good, found the cache and logged my visit.

First for the day and it's always good to start with a find .
This makes a good bookend for our 'Snake Wall' cache over the other side of the bridge (not to mention the reason for these sculptured hills) .
Nicely themed hide . TNLNSL.
Unfortunately, we've always though the trees that have sprung up here don't really belong and degrade the appearance/theme of the sculpture [B)].
Thanks Mattycat.

What a great view from up here. Kinda felt a little conspicuous but I don't think one head turned as they drove by. The gliders were still too high above so no ducking required.
Thanks to Mattycat and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

After a quick grab of a cache close to work notice this one didn't have an claims so headed to this one. After taking a short walk from behind managed to grab this quacky cache, tide was low enough to grab this without to much trouble.
