Found this guy today in preparation for another journey on the ocrt, quite bust at gz this afternoon with muggles once they had disappeared was a quick find.Signed and replaced as found Thanks for the placement and the smiley
Brilliant day for a short walk on the trail. Hadn't realized there would be so many horses.
Quick find on a sunny afternoon winter run. No pen, have photo of log if required. TFTC.
With easter weekend upon us we decided to do a quick trip to Otago so we could ride the rail trail bike track. This has been on our bucket list for a very long time and so we decided last week that we would pack up the campervan and come and do it. I had decided to start in Alex and follow the rail trail up to Clyde then bike the river track back to Alex then on to Lauder.A nice easy find here. This is when I started wishing I had done some biking over the past few months, but not one to give up on a challenge and knowing that once the leg muscles warmed up I would be fine.Had a lovely white horse supervise my activities, the he had a nice nose rub before carrying on my way. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
In the area for work today so a nice wander at lunchtime lead me to this nice spot on the Rail Trail. A quick find and a visit with my mate nearby. TFTC
I decided to visit Clyde today to lacat and sign off a few caches. This was the first on this trail. A few muggles were about this morning.Cheers for the cache, K.J.R.
Out cycling and caching to Clyde and back this afternoon. I was in dream world when I cycled past this hide earlier. A quick find on the way back to the motel. TFTC
Thanks for hiding this cache K.J.R I appreciate it. There was a horse guarding the hide. It was over friendly. It's Show Weekend in Christchurch. So JDScout and I are spending four nights in Central Otago We drove down today and are staying in our camper van.
Hint is very straight forward, fun hunting for it, great bike ride on the rail trail. Good fun.
Staying in the area house/dog sitting having an awesome time catching up with friends as we lived in Alexandra for 40+ years - very brisk day with fresh snow on the mountains magical- TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at Molyneux Park in Alexandra … while here, we decided to ride the Alexandra to Clyde Section of the OCRT & come back via the River track … we had an Ad Lab to do in Clyde & thought we might grab a few caches … this cache was easily found … log completed & then replaced … ‘snagged’ the 2 x TB’s from the cache … they can travel with us for a wee while & we’ll find somewhere nice to release them … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN except 2 x TB’s:LN:SL ... #3,804 for us.
Checked on cache and dropped off a couple of trackables. All good and glad for the shelter of the oak tree at GZ in the 26° heat!
We had a pleasant bike ride on over to Alex from Clyde. Not too busy, thankfully.
This is about the 4th time I've cycled along here. It's obviously been a while since my last ride judging from when the cache was placed. All good here. Thanks K.J.R.
I enjoyed an early morning walk along the cycleway this morning. The air was still and frosty. the landscape reminded me a lot of some of the rail trails I've experienced over in Victoria. This was my turning point. TFTC
2617. A quick stop on the trail. The muggle horse got an apple as well. TFTC!!!
No racing anywhere today, just a casual cycle for a couple of caches. The lambs were bleating away as we signed the log. Thanks for the cache K.J.R.
On a trip south from Tauranga. Nice to collect smiles along the way. Start of OTR. All good here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Logged with permission. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Having completed the A2O a couple of days ago, the first day on the ORT is a breeze but the rain has made it rather unpleasant.
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
While out wandering on the Trail thought I would look this one up.... since it was near the other one.
Was 'racing' the weather heading back to my vehicle.

4. cache today. All good.
Found on the crazy trip from Luggate to Alexandra to meet 2 friends, to find some caches around, to sweat a lot of energy.

I was busy admiring the horses and counting the rabbits (20) while JD signed the cache. Tftc.
Today Injeanious and I cycled from Cromwell to Alexandra along the new bike trail. We had a great time and found lots of caches along the way. On the homeward stretch here, a quick find, tftc!
Left home at 4.30am with a list of 21 caches for the day, got them all. Thanks Bitsprayer
We arrived at nearby lodgings mid-afternoon. I then went out and located five caches in the area. I was reluctant initially to walk the 960m from my parked car to the first cache, around 250m before this one, but it was still sunny at the end of the day and I thought “Why not?” Found this one straightaway, then picked up the other one on my return leg. A good stroll at the end of the day! #3907. TFTC.
From Auckland and on a 7 weeks motor trip to the South Island to do all our outstanding parkruns.

TFTC. Quick find by Mr B. We were lucky to find a quiet time on the trail. Loved our ride and a couple of caches were the icing on the cake
Visiting from Auckland. Cycling the Otago Central Rail Trail. Rode from Omakau to Clyde. Rest of family started cycling towards Clyde and I stopped to retrieve. Didn't take too long. TFTC.
Day one of four on the ORT and our leg from Clyde to Omakau...
HorseGirlNZ and I stopped to say 'hi' to a horse in a near-by paddock while Mrs MSEBN rode on a bit before getting a puncture! Not a good start for her but a good caching start for me.
Thanks K.J.R

It's a great sunny day today. So I went out for a little bike ride from Clyde to Alexandra and back. Great to have some caches on the way. Second one for today. Thank for hiding.
Day 1 on the Otago Rail Trail from Clyde to Omakau. Quick find here in the obvious spot. One of the horses in the nearby paddock cane to check on what we were up to.
Couldn’t help doing another 800m from the Muttontown Bridge cache! Nice easy find. Kids enjoyed watching the horses!
Quickly found by hubby. Yay first one on the rail trail. Cache signed and replaced as found. A beautiful day to be out walking. Local nag came over for a visit and pat. TFTC
Quick found and a horse came running over for sending greener grass and a stroke. Very friendly and appreciated agood stroke. Thanks for the cache.
So glad of an excuse to get off the bike. We cycled down the river trail and are now battling the head winds to get back to Clyde. TFTC
Can't afford to get too far behind my group of cyclists, so glad of a quick find.

One of the most amusing caches we have found as a white horse was standing guard and kept trying to lick us as we retrieved the cache - quite funny. TFTC
Nearly at the end of our morning ride from omakau to Clyde would have been rude to check this as I went passed, give the boys chance to catch up . cache all good
