We headed out of town today with the Elementary Series and a group of high favourited trads in our sights along with any other caches we might pass by. We weren't disappointed on both fronts. It was a cold day with light winds so looked warmer than it actually was. We were pleased to be in and out of the car so the cold didn't really get to us. There were showers as we returned into town, and then the sun came out brightly. Melbourne weather!!Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Granite Belt Cachers.**SKI Pair****
Making our way home after a great weekend of camping and adventuring around Girraween, picking up a few more caches as we go.We pulled up right next to GZ and made a quick find. Tftc Granite Belt CachersFind #5960
Picked up after setting up the van for a weekend of caching fun around Stanthorpe.
Ducked into this spot for a quick find. Took nothing.Left a little fun swag.Signed.Replaced.TFTC ... PS: On the map ... this shows the road connecting with the highway on both ends. It does not. Had to reverse all the way back to cache and turn around to make my exit.
Another nice spot along the highway with the company of variegated wrens twittering in the shrubbery. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers.
We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. Interesting to see the mileage carved on the tree here. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
I drove up the side road and pulled up next to it to make a quick find. Thanks for the fun Granite Belt Cachers
Woops , logged the wrong cache a minute ago. Geodog decided he doesn't want to check this afternoon and isn't being helpful so RFC had to find this one without help. Of course that was no problem . Tftc
It's quite a while ago that I had so many snowflakes!
We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.
Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.

Drive around the Granite Belt in our quest to reach 5999 before our milestone event on Saturday. Only had to find four today, so we decided to celebrate with hamburgers for lunch at Blue Topaz!
Quick east find in ovbios spot, once we worked out how to get there. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers

Found the cache super quickly. It was wet and nasty as reported. We replaced it with a different, hopefully better, container and a new log. Of course we signed it and placed it back. Glad this was a quick find. We need to catch the shops.
Thanks Granite Belt Cachers. Great location!
Thanks Granite Belt Cachers. Great location!
Nearly needed my 4WD off-road shoes for this one. Was glad I had my umbrella to use as a walking stick. Soon located GZ and the cache which was a bit damp inside with a log book looking a bit mouldy. Added my name as is the custom, and safely replaced in the hiding place. TFTC, GBCachers.
Cache is outside flagged off area...Found with Robbieracer66..the rains have stopped atm on this drizzly Easter Sunday...thanks granite belt cachers
Second day of our Geocaching sortie to Stanthorpe. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny Spring day, today is wet, windy and bloody cold! 9 degrees with an apparent temperature of 4! Don't you love the stupid things that Geocaching makes you do
We pulled up just north of GZ as there is a large construction zone and fencing preventing access. The site is about 200 metres long and is being done by SEQ Water with excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks and workmen all over. You could sneak in at night or on weekends as there is a gap in the fencing near to GZ on the north side and there appears to be no work going on at GZ. Not for us today.

We had a lunch booked at the Barrel Room at Ballendean at 12:30 and a tasting for 12:00. In the past someone had brought me a Ballendean wine and it wasn’t even good enough to give to my mother in law so I was worried that I would only be tasting cat’s piss.
The joke is on me because I left with 5 bottles of wine including a Chardonnay which I always thought was God’s gift to evil. tftc

Found by Mary and David at 15:20. Cherry products advertised as we turned in. Perhaps not the best time or place to shop. Making our way north to attend QOGM eventually. Our thanks to Granite Belt Cachers.
Could the Granite Belt Cachers please maintain this cache. I would help only I left tool box in Motel.

Making our way north we have now reached the granite belt and there are a lot of interesting and quite spectacular rock formations around. This was a not a difficult cache to find with ilook4geo. After doing the signing duties, all was put back into its place before we headed on our way for the day. Thanks go to Granite Belt Cachers for putting this cache into play.
We are now caching in the granite belt with goingplaces2 and enjoying finding some fun and interesting caches. This one was easy to find and soon had our names on the paper. TFTC.
Good hide for a quick find. Signed log and replaced cache as found. All good. TFTC
Another quick find alas the log book was very wet. Have placed a log sheet in a small cliplock bag for now. TFTC

A road trip with Stephlego, WillPunkey and Scoob which started near Bathurst then down to the snow near Jenolan caves back to Bathurst for some ice skating and then a drive to Toowoomba Qld with a few caches to break up the trip. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers
Another of your caches Granite Belt Cachers. Thanks.
Out on a circuit from King Storm dam to pick up as many caches, and souvenirs, as possible. All that were attempted were eventually found, some taking longer than others. Mostly all the caches were in good condition though some had damp logs. I particularly enjoyed those caches that had been created by their COs, though even some of those made me feel very uncomfortable with their placement whether it was because it was on private property or so close to the highway that they didn't allow for good parking.
Big thanks to COs for placing and maintaining these caches which add another dimension to our travels.
All logs were signed with full name or as SG as I often do depending on space available, tthough signing was not necessarily straightafter the previous logger as sometimes I filled in a space.

2nd find of 10 for our caching afternoon. After having a hiccup with where we were meant to be then getting it right, we were happy to have a nice quick find even with all the ant guardians. TFTC Granite Belt Cachers
Finally got a chance to head to Stanthorpe with my Geodog Scruffy and fill in a few gaps ...

Caching road trip from Stanthorpe to Texas then back to Tenterfield via Glen Lyon Dam. After completing some tasks around Tenterfield we stopped for a few of the Snow Flakes on the way back to Stanthorpe. Thanks GBCs.
Heading south on holidays we stopped and found a few caches along the way.
Nice big area here for parking the van while we look.

This has been sitting in my drafts for ages forgotten. Out with geopartner for a rare day of caching.
After walking 1/2 way across discovered an easier option. Container full of water may need to change it. Log done!
On our way home from the Mega in Alexandra Vic. Stayed in Glen Innes last night and caching our way to Stanthorpe then a straight run home of 4 hours from there. We will drop on and say hi to Ian and Chris as we go past. On small and micro logs I use YOF to save space on the paper.

Out and about for a three day road trip. Day 3.
After the rain a few days ago the place is drying out. The locals needed it so I am not complaining ... much.
I managed to park close to this one and wandered over to make a quick find.
This cache is nice and dry.
Thanks for the cache.

TFTC... 01/10/17. On the hunt in unfamiliar territory with Tough Mothers. Lots of smileys on offer, this is one of them. Plenty of rain. Cross country drive required, almost a bridge too far.
Found with Lisylou, REMSJW, jemillalucy, mnance101, and bennyboppers. We are also known as the Tough Mothers as sign in as tm x 6.
Found this with tough mother's x 6 today. Here for the weekend at Warwick and drove to Tenterfield thanks for all caches
