I is probably more than a year since a last did some caching, now in NZ for 19 months. On my way home from night shift.

In Auckland for work for a couple of days but with spare time today. I headed north and west to places I haven't been to for years, if ever. The weather was very unpredictable, generally blustery with showers getting blown in the wind too. I managed to stay fairly dry given the conditions. As per a previous logger the cache is not hidden as per the description but is in a drier position safe and sound. TFTC, Biggles.
On a mission to replace an adopted cache up on SH16, decided to do a round trip and stop off and get a few caches along the way. Can see this one has migrated from GL which is very wet, so probably not a bad placement now up higher. SL. TFTC.
Armored with hi-vis jacket geocaching is much safer for me. Especially beside busy road. Found it. But not at GL. Nice one. TFTC
After a cruise on the river, we wanted a few quick finds. This fit the bill perfectly. It was interesting to see these sand piles from the other side, after seeing them from the river. This is my 999th cache. TFTC.
Out with Mrs TWS getting her back on her feet after heart surgery. Things are looking good

Went for a cruise on the river, saw the piles of sand from the boat. Wanted some caches to finish the day. Tftc
Out for some quick pick ups after a cruise tour of the Kaipara Harbour with Anastriel and Lycurgon, TFTC
Caching today with TheMexikiwi with the aim of getting up to Atiu Creek for a wander about in the sun but had time for a few caches on the way up first.
Started looking too low for this initially based on the hint, but then looked a little higher up the hint item and found a much drier cache than if it had remained under the rocks.

Quick find here between gaps in the traffic. Cache is no longer at GL, but is in a very obvious place. TFTC
As it was such a nice day Jag50 and I headed to Helensville to get a few smileys. A nice quick find despite it no longer being at ground level
No trouble finding this one, but the cache was in a pool of water. In an effort to keep it dry, I took the liberty of moving it upwards. TFTC.
Out and about enjoying a drive in the countryside around Helensville today. Nice to have a day with clear skies and sunshine to find caches. Heading for home, but not before I grab one last hide along the way. I parked up and made the short walk to the likely GZ. Soon had the goods in hand and the formalities completed. Cheers for the cache placement!
On our way to Whangarei for a few days and thought we would come this way instead of Highway 1. Probably a mistake because the traffic is very heavy.
A bit muddy underfoot here today but found it eventually in between passing muggles.
Thanks supernanny.

Today we set off towards Helensville with the goal for today being to boost the number of finds on this calendar date. Unfortunately the weather did not play ball, and we got caught in a few downpours. But we did achieve our target number of caches.
After finding the Helensville caches we headed a little further north for just a few more caches to complete our tally. This was a quick find in the logical spot. TFTC

Henderson - Mangawhai
Visiting family north of Auckland.
We stopped to find caches along the road, pulling up where we considered it safe.
Had to make a stop on the way to have a NZ famous Hokey Pokey ice cream.
Thanks for placing this cache supernannny

After finding the new Tea off cache in Wainui, I decided to head this way on my way to Helensville. Nice easy park and grab cache here, cheers
Thank you for the interesting information on the local concrete & the cache
Nice and easy find here, good "hiding in plain sight" type of cache that muggles wouldn't think twice about. We didn't have any trouble finding and extracting the logs here, all signed and replaced, thanks for the cache.
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is nine. The area selected was SH16 between Kaukapakapa and Waimauku.
Cheers for the cache.

Always happy when there are safe places to park near caches on busy roads. No problems locating the cache and another great cache along the road. Thanks
After a nice drive up to Warkworth for lunch we decided to head back home via the west coast. Found this cache on the way, a quick park and grab! TFTC!
Was in the area this morning so made a quick PnG here on my way home. TFTC supernanny (and another STF behind FMZ & Gorby....but I am happy to take it)
Headed here with Gorby for the 3rd of 5 FTFs tonight but when we got close I got sidetracked by an email and we overshot it an had to turn around and come back, oops. Another quick find and another joint [FTF] with Gorby. FTF #2094 TFTC!!!
Heading north tonight with FMZ around Hellensville and Kaukapakapa and I'm quite pleased curglaff has released these caches early tonight. That means getting home before beddy-byes instead of well after it! I had to do a u-turn just past GZ, FMZ was yakking to me and e-mailing, and forgot to tell me when to stop. Lol!! Can't get good navigators these days... heh heh heh.
When I did turn around, GZ was obvious and almost pulled off a grab from the car while my passenger leaned out. But not quite. Thanks supernanny for the cache. A {FTF} here for us tonight.
