I was out with Lumin298 today trying to find as many as we can in the Muriwai area.
I was looking for a sign as I thought that is what I read but as the saying goes "you know what thought thought". We found it at a hint item.
Cheers for the cache.

We didn't go any further down the trail than this cache, but still got to see the great views. Tufty found the cache while I was checking the wrong post. All good with the cache. Thanks for another one! (#1563)
We spent an enjoyable morning caching in Muriwai. We were a bit disappointed we were unable to get the caches at the end of Goldies Bush track (Track Closed signs up) so we drove along to find this one. A nice quick find in the logical spot, thanks.
Kiwiscot & Kiwi enjoying a day out with the Surf Life Saving crew hitting the waves at Muriwai followed by a walk down to the cliff top to check out the view. A part of the trail we have never been on before. Hot hot day. Soaked with sweat coming back up those stairs. Nice quick find. TFTC
Couldn’t walk too far down the track as the cliff fell and the track is closed but on a hot humid day it feels as difficult either way long or short walk. Great quick and easy find in a beautiful location!
Nice easy find. Good camo. Found on the way down. Bit of a puff on the way back. Lovely walk along the cliffs though. TFTC. Took TB
Dropping off our Scout for his troops walk to Bethels. Stunning day for it. Our other 2 geokids and I waited for them to set off and coast to clear (it was blue sky clear!) before an easy hunt for this one. Dropped off a TB. Tftc
Planned for today: A family hike along the Te Henga walkway. This was the first cache for us, an easy find as well. Continued the path, walked down the stairs and already had shaky legs... OMG. Very hot day as well, but we continued the hike, enjoyed all these breathtaking views, supported by lots of sugary lollies and turned around after we found the second cache (What lurks beneath?). These stairs at the end of the day are probably even against the law! Tftc
I saw some people coming up the track after hiking the entire 10km length of the trail, so I was happy I only had to do 100m to get the cache. I guess I started at the right end of the trail! TFTC.
After finding that Goldie's Track was closed for KDD attention and thwarting a couple of cheeky tasters I headed to the opposite end of Te Henga which we did the Bethells end of a few months ago. Nice and easy find a nd good to immediately turn around and head back to the car! Nice evenin g for a stroll today.
A kind low tide timing this week and I fancied an E K O from work to make the most of meant that this afternoon we headed out Muriwai way. I'd eyed up the EC a few times recently but the times etc never lined up and so was pleased to head there this afternoon after knocking off at 1445 and in the car underway just after 1500. Arrived at Maori Bay and headed down first to the littoral cave to attempt to replicate Georick's Youtube effort, nah water a little too deep still, I did it after the EC adventure. Finished off our trip with a couple of G-2 trad caches.

We are training to do the Tongario crossing and in preparation we are doing some longer walks to get our fitness up. So today with Keylev, Newlynfam and Laval we set about doing the Bethells Beach to Murawai clifftop walk.
The last cache of the walk. OMG those stairs after 11 odd ks of walking are a KILLER!!!!!
Laval was the first to GZ and with aching muscles none of us really wanted to get to GL for the search. Thankfully little Laval made a quick find and the log was signed.
Just a few more meters to the car and YES walk COMPLETED!!!!!!!!!
TFTC and little reward for completing the walk....
(request for next time.... could the cache height be a little higher for us older walkers and cachers )

Out for a day walking the trail with NZ Travellers, Newlyn Fam and laval as part of our training for Tongariro in Feb. This was a little more challenging than I had realised but it was great training and lots of fun!
Oh my goodness we were almost out of all energy by the time we made it up the stairs but there was only one way we were getting home so we had to make it to the car!!
Thankfully laval made a quick find here as we all needed to sit down!
Thanks for the cache.

Just a park and grab from the top looking to get a view. Thought might be missing as not found for a while but GPS was just out by one post.
Wow... That was a quick find and log...
Thank you for the cache

Having done the other end of the Te Henga trail from Bethells, today it was the Muriwai end to finish us the rest of the caches on this trail. Track was steep but relatively dry and damn it was hot so a lot of insects and especially butterflies about. First cache of the day, and no problems here. Thanks G2
Omg those stairs are a killer! It must be about 25 degrees and very humid. Finding a cache here is the perfect reason to stop! TFTC
Out and about for some geocaching fun around the Muriwai coast today. The morning rain seems to have cleared, leaving a sunny day behind. After taking a drive to see where this road went, (answer: no where) I returned and parked up in the car park. I have a few more caches still left to find on this trail, but I am just stopping for this one today. After the short walk to GZ the cache was quickly found in the first spot I checked. Cheers for the cache placement!
Beautiful day to walk this track, not too hot or windy. First cache of day, all nice and fresh and excited, then.... oh yes those steps, I remember.
I came here a long time ago finishing a walk from Te Henga with my sister and bro-in-law. that was before caching and today I came back just to get this cache. Obviously a walk to this cache wasn't going to be far but there was a big group of people just finishing their walk here and congregating around the entrance. Got past them and a minute later was retrieving the cache. I almost broke the cache in trying to open it, sorry about that G, I was a bit too keen. But it's still all good as are the contents. Thanks for bringing me here again.
BTW, the track off Constable Rd is now officially closed, the one that takes you down to the bridge over Mokoroa stream. So I never bothered going there today.

Found during the last day of great two weeks holiday in New Zealand. With rented car we drove from Auckland to beginning of the Te Henga trail from Muriwai side and walked to O'Neill Bay Beach and back.
Today we had the worst conditions of the whole holiday. Since it was raining hard yesterday, everything along the track was wet and after half an hour, we were wet from the waist down too. And on part of the hike we were being attacked by countless number of small flies. But overall it was great hike with wonderful views, big waves thundering against the shore and nature as from the Jurassic park.
First cache of the track, easy one, thanks.
Greetings from Slovakia.

Hiking the trail with liketips and themexikiwi today as a birthday treat for myself and finished our walk by finding this cache. More than happy to stop here for a little bit after all those stairs, but a great day to be out and a nice quick find in the likely spot when we got here. All good as usual, TFTC
After the nice hiking tour on Te Henga Trail we found the cache.
Thank you for the cache!

In big need of some stretching the legs after all the rain. Love the view from GZ. TFTC
Out at Muriwai today to pick up friends who were coming through from Bethells on the Te Henga Track. Due to the rain decided not to walk in to meet them but did scurry down the track to grab this one between the rain showers. Went a bit further to the top of the steps and then headed back to the carpark just before next lot of rain arrived. TFTC
Decided to check out some of the back roads before heading back towards Muriwai beach. Will need to come back and do the trails through Goldies Bush sometime soon. Nice easy cache here, not very busy today. Great camo, TFTC
It was a nice Friday afternoon, so I decided to finish work early and head out to Muriwai to do some short walks and find a few caches. After a short stroll down the Te Henga Trail, which I've done a few times, the nicely camoed cache was quickly found. TFTC!
Busy trail today, but able to squeeze between the muggles, two going down and one up.

Despite the dismal weather forecast I was out in Muriwai with Jag50 and Aiden29 to pick up some of the new and not so new caches. Having seen a note that this had been found but was lacking a log sheet, we wandered down prepared and were surprised when we opened the nicely camo'd container to find a blank log sheet and lots of swag. Confused I rang Pazzabella, and while talking to her I found the container she found behind the next post down, only about 5m from the container we found. We think it must have been a physical stage for an archived multi so removed the container to avoid confusion. So an unexpected joint {FTF} with Jag50 and Aiden29.
Had made plans to head to Devonport with Merlot58 and Jag50 to get a few caches before the rain really set in. However, these plans were called off, and with all of us suffering from cabin fever, we decided to head out for the new caches around Goldie's Bush while the weather held off.
We saw Geocchi's log about there being no paper, so we prepared some waterproof paper to add. We headed down the trail and Mrs Jag50 quickly had the camo'd cache in hand. She opened it to find a blank log sheet sitting on top of the container of goodies. We then wondered what Geocchi had found? Merlot found a small container with letters and numbers inside about 5m from this cache, and we realised this is what Geocchi must have found. We removed the other container to avoid any confusion. I was running out of time before I had to get to work but when there's FTF's on the menu, I thought I'd grab just this one more... and grab it I did ( See attached photo ). I was confused as to it's contents however, which looked more like a clue than a log. It turns out, it was a clue, but to another archived cache[?] We didn't realise this until Merlot58 later tells me she found the genuine one just one post away. Can't win em all.
Had made plans to head to Devonport with Merlot58 and Aiden29 today to get a few caches. But with really bad weather looming we decided to see if we could nab a few caches out here which might be a bit more sheltered and ahead of the big rains forecast.
We had seen saw Geocchi's log about there being no paper, so we prepared some waterproof paper to add. We headed down the trail and Mrs Jag50 quickly had the camo'd cache in hand. On opening it we were stumped by the fact that a log and goodies were in fact in the cache. Merlot then found a small container with letters and numbers inside about 5m from this cache, and we realised this is what Geocchi must have found. Sorry Geocchi, looks like we in fact had the {FTF}. We removed the other container to avoid any confusion. FTF at 9.57
