Great little hidden cache. The kids took a toy each and put another one back. TFTC
Loved this one because of the ponies and their foals. Very friendly coming over to say hello but not close enough to pet.Found with goblinrider on a driving lessonTftc
The look on Wombat Jnrs face when he saw the name of the cache was priceless. Had to get him to read the description to alleviate any concerns he had. Cache was found and signed. Thanks for the info and for bringing us here.
Out giving the car a drive, why not do some caching on the way. Nice easy find for D. TSLS TFTC
Quick drive by before the people across the paddock with their horses paid too much attention to us
Another good quick find while in the area. Good to grab the caches on the side/back roads after finding ones along the highway. Thanks for another chooknchunk...
Geoturtle 37, OzHockeyChick and I set off from camp this morning to head to the Posums birthday bash. OHC has gone on ahead as she has found all the caches for some distance but as we have a little time, we are taking the scenic route, guided by caches not yet found. That has changed here as the find was made. Thanks for the cache that took us off the black top and also for the history lesson.
Yes we'll the name certainly conjures up some ideas and images! A bonus for us today was a paddock full of foals nearby. Tftc
On the way home from the VIC Rogaine Event. In Dunolly. Great weekend. Great Place. So much history with more to learn. Thanks to the cache owner.
After packing up camp in StArnaud we hit the road heading for Avoca on a detour way home.
Ghihash hadn’t been to Avoca before so we drove around and collected all the caches and the couple I was missing after my last trip.
This silo was complete on this trip and was amazing to see.
This one because of the name was on my todo list for this caching trip.
Way to cold for any of those Shenanigans today
We enjoyed theorising on the name

How is it that the simple act of exploring country and finding caches brings such joy. Thank you for the big smile
Spending our first Christmas together with AlexiKatty trying to stay on target for my milestone for the Wangaratta mega in January. It's a nice day and beautiful to be out hear on this sunny day. Very happy to add this smile to my map.

All l can say is l hope they were talking about the gold. I am pretty certain they would have stripped every ounce out of the area. Thank you for providing this cache for us to find, and to ponder about the name.
Travelled out to Avoca to join in the celebration events and explore an area I’ve not been to before.
Took a side trip through some dirt back roads to grab this cache on the way out of town. Fortunately a quick find at GZ.
Thanks chooknchunk for the cache.

After attending the CO's event in town, catnap777 and I piled into the old man's XTrail along with Cybergran V to tour the Pyrenees and rob it of as many hidden treasures as we could.
We cleaned out most of Avoca then Percydale before heading back this way to grab this last one with the olds and saying our farewells as Cat' and I headed off caching our way back home in her car. [^]
TFTC chooknchunk, as for the cache's namesake, that just had to wait a little longer.

*Found on the 22 May 2021 @ 1:56 pm.*
*Cache find # 11773.*
With the main event now being finished, it was time to find the rest of the caches around town before heading out a bit further.
I had now been up to Percydale and was on way back towards town before heading towards home via Talbot when this one was sitting there unfound on my map so I had to rectify that and find it.
**Thanks to chooknchunk for placing this cache.**

On returning from our day of exploration and cache logging with Catnap777 and dalerious, I found this cache, and then Muggle Hubby and I bid them farewell and a safe journey back to Shepparton, before we refuelled in Avoca, and continued on to our accommodation in Daisy Hill.
Thanks for placing this cache here for our entertainment.
We have had a most enjoyable day in the area, on a glorious day, following on from the Event this morning in Avoca.

Left Geelong Thursday morning and cached my way up to Avoca, set up the van in the Caravan Park and glad I changed from the free camp area as the nights were very cold and ice on the screen most mornings.
With 104 caches to log I will have to cut and paste most so thanks to all the folk who placed these caches out there for us to find because without your effort we would not have any to find.
After setting up the caravan it was time to grab a few local caches with my caching buddy au.fait.
Thanks chooknchunk for placing.

After arriving in Avoca and setting up camp, I joined with Bushfire to find a few nearby caches before darkness descended. What an interesting name for a mine. Far too cold here at the moment to have any desire to emulate the name TFTC ChooknChunk
It was slightly cold and frosty so I think I'll put an extra layer on!!
Thanks to chooknchunk and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
We are staying in Avoca to clear out our shop so that we can sell it and buy and fit out a van to travel around Australia as Digital Grey Nomads. As it was raining, we couldn't pack a trailer, so we decided to head around the area and grab some caches. We headed towards Ballarat thinking the Geotour meetup was today. We made the most of it, though, when we had arrived at the Rotunda and realised it was tomorrow. We were getting closer to Avoca and decided to clean up all the caches close to Avoca. The name of this cache is interesting, and it would be awesome to know how the mine received its name. Thank you for this cache chooknchunk
#334! Interesting place to come with an even more interesting history. TFTC! Paul & Nic (Paulyj24)
Thanks for another interesting cache I found while in the area with Glanville Girls.
A weekend away, hosted by the lovely chooknchunk. Today’s guided tour - Ben Major and surrounds.
Great name for a mine!
I’d love to know how it came about.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, chooknchunk

After my caching plans for yesterday fell through, I decided to head out to Avoca today and look for a few caches. I picked this one up on my way back to Ballarat via Beaufort. Thanks for placing.
Find No. 3112. Found with FUF009 at 11.22am
A caching day with FUF009 heading down to the Beaufort area and grabbing caches along the way.
A quick find along a back road on our way.
Just love finding these size containers - far better than nanos and micros any day.

Heading up to Mildura for the PS series and stopped to collect this one along the way.
Thanks chooknchunk
Thanks chooknchunk
I haven't been to Avoca for years, not in my caching life that's for sure. I thought this cache name and mine sounded interesting.
A quick find as we are Mildura bound via Donald. Lucky to still be able to travel.

Fun day around Avoca with grandson Riley. Good to do one of yours! He’s really keen. And we’ve just done the Avoca cemetery one. TFTC.
Re-enabling now the Victorian Covid19 restrictions say we can "participate in some recreational activities, adhering to the rules". Please use common sense, maintain social distancing, attend to hand hygiene and stay safe.
Temporarily disabling this cache due to the Corona Virus.
Geocaching is not "essential travel".
It puts others at risk when you travel unnecessarily, no matter how isolated a cache may be.
Please stay at home.

A weekend of camping in Avoca on the river flats. Nice camping but the locals were less than welcoming. Heading home and grabbing some caches on the home stretch. TFTC..collected a TB.
An unusual name indeed. Today the surrounding area seems to be stripped naked of crops, but we saw horses and sheep in neighbouring paddocks. SL at 12.29pm on our way home to Wangaratta from a weekend in Ararat. Left: Anvil Angus geocoin in the form of a cattle tag. Should fit in well here for a while. #6915 TFTC chooknchunk - the name brought smile to our faces.
I found this cache today on a tour of the Avoca area
A quick find
So "strip me naked,
and paint me gold." [:o)]
"Goldmemeber !!"
"Oh !! STOP it !!"
Maybe the name was something to do with the swelling population ?? [:o]

Found by Mary and David at 13:45. As you might imagine, this was a "must do" on our way home. We wonder about the name too. What a giggle, and a FP. Dropped off "Night Crawler" TB. Our thanks to chooknchunk.
On my way home from the St Arnaud mega event I noticed this cache along the road. With the unusual name of this cache I decided to have a look and with previous antics I thought one more laugh and wondered if this fulfilled another cache challenge and the cache was found and logged and photo taken.

Caching from Ballarat to Avoca today and the lovely weather made for a great morning of finds. Thanks so much to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches for us to enjoy finding.
Leaving Ballarat today and moving towards St Arnaud for the Event this weekend. Did quite a number of caches on the way. Thank you to all CO's for the placement of these caches in their respective locations. TFTC
A good drive to this cache and a quick find with a cache container full of treasure. SL TFTC
Ages ago, my phone pinged when a virtual cache was published at Echuca
I was ever so tempted however I knew there was a geocacher there who did a lot for geocaching and the local community [:X].... so I gave him a heads up and an 'until midnight' free pass [^] Many has been the day when I wondered why I did that[?][?][?]
At 2am Friday night [|)] I realised there was a new virtual , still unfound 8 days after publication [?], in a place that I had been to before and from which I had taken away great memories of the tour of The Drives Black fairy floss was my description of the mould in the tunnels
Having woken late this Saturday morning [|)][|)], I had no intention of going for a loooong drive to find this new virtual near Ararat...... but we all know that a caching weekend is hard to resist! Particularly with the lure of a possible FTF on a virtual too [^]
So Rex and I took off about midday and drove, drove and drove to the Seppelts/Great Western winery and not a cache was found on the way Yeah, I know... shock and horror!! [xx(]
Exiting Harry, Rex and I headed into the Shaft Room and I lined up the shot [^] then, with shaking fingers, I logged the find online
On our way out we had a chat with Alan in the winery as we bought a couple of bottles of lovely sparkling Shiraz [^][^] (apparently Seppelts/Great Western were the first winery in Australia to make sparkling Shiraz... no wonder it's so nice ) and reminisced about the knowledgeable tour guide for our SABERS motorcycle group's tour back on 25th November 2012
If you get the chance, do The Drives tour as it is fascinating! [^]
I also needed to find an EarthCache for International Earth Cache Day and blow me down, very close by was an EC by Geo Bro' [:X]
We spent the night at the Brambuk backpackers hostel in Halls Gap before grabbing a few caches in that town of happy memories on the Sunday.
By the end of the weekend, we had 2 DNFs and 24 cache finds and we arrived back home at about 11pm on Sunday night, tired [|)][xx(][|)][xx(] but happy with a trip that also included Halls Gap and the finding of a cache that had been DNFd twice before in years past! [^]
Seriously[?] Really[?] I'm pretty sure me stripped naked is NOT what the world wants to see!!
That cache found there was what I wanted to see though

Early morning walk with Jack Frost, turns out it was a little further than anticipated! TFTC.
We're looking at the local shops and saw this one was just out of town funny name and I love mining nice hide tftc
Doing the odd cache on the way home and this was one. Lots of mining in the area. Indeed they had some funny names for mines!
An easy find but interesting location. Pity we couldn't have a closer look at the mine site
After a meal of pies at Chunk's favorite pie shop we headed down to this cache, all the time theorising about the name of this mine. Our favourite is that the mine was such a failure, that the owner was all but "stripped naked" by his creditors. Well that is our story anyway.
Thanks for placing this cache chooknchunk

A few days off so BettyBoo3747 and I decided to head to St Arnaud. It is not often that I'm not working on this event weekend, but this one coincided with my day's off.
Day one and we travelled from Willy to St Arnaud. We started a bit of caching on this side of Ballarat, and finished off with the LP trail by deadly treadlies in the afternoon.
The name probably comes from the appearance of the woodland after the miners had been through!
We figured you put a cache here because of all the horses in the adjacent paddock!
Thanks, Robmc.

#14810. A travelling day for Robmc and me as we make our way to St Arnaud for the weekend. A nice little tally of 20 caches found before we reached town in time for a late lunch. After settling in we unloaded the bicycles and headed out to do one of the trails just out of town. A good day with a total of 40 caches found.
Ha ha, wrong on all counts for this one. I thought Rob must be thinking it was about skinny dipping in the creek (no creek so that must be wrong), I took one look at all the clean paddocks and thought you must have put the cache out when all the paddocks had been stripped and baled for hay. No and no. As were driving off I read the cache page and there was the answer. A good selection of goodies in here today. Dropped in a pink pig TB to continue its travels.
Thanks chooknchunk
