I was encouraged to find this cache for a variety of reasons. its taken me some time and a number of nudges along the way as the way points emerged. At GZ I also thought the cache was broken and on the ground but then saw the real smaller cache and managed to get to it.A great chase.TFTC
Id read a few logs and knew what to bring and that it make take some time. Without giving too much away it was an interesting journey around and clearly Tiddalik had already been tickled. At GZ the hid was finally found. No sign of the recent found log and it doesnt fit the final location. Picture of log attached. Signing duties complete and re hid. TFTCA fav pt #96
Found out it while out walking the dogs, this is a lovely cache and well set up. I didnt see a log there but I really look forward to bringing my kids to find it and play. Fantastic job, thanks for the cache
I looked all around the area and I couldnt find anything. Can you come check up on it?
Today l felt like one of the animals conspiring against Tiddalik for drinking all the water. If Tiddalik was watching he sure would have had a riotous laugh at my searching antics, and it certainly would not have taken long for him to regurgitate the lake water. But I'm skipping too far ahead.. let's start at the start...my journey searching for Tiddalik started about the middle of last year...I was a novice then, and i didn't quite understand what this multi involved. Actually I thought it had something to do with the kids' play equipment....it soon got shelved. I was reintroduced to it months later by Kashbound...part A was brilliant and kept my head ticking...I quickly had a theory but I did not have the means to execute what I wanted to do. Earlier this year I had a brainstorm session with a fellow GC who had the app and the know-how to test my theory, we soon had that green tick of approval....but l lacked the ToTt to get me to GZ...opportunities to get a muggle acquaintance with a jetski to give me a lift did not eventuate. A few months ago I was given a TotT that would indeed be very beneficial, but the call from various GC to wait for them again halted my expedition.. I thought this would have been a fun cache to find with others. Eventually, I got tired of waiting, and so today I packed the hot chilli into the geo car and made the short drive to GZ. The sky ahead was dark like my mood and it was threatening to rain...but nothing was going to stop me..I was tempted to ask some local muggles near GZ to help but didn't. I prepared myself with various ToTt and set off...I figured I would just head to the vicinity of GZ and see if I could land...my Gumboots were an excellent choice of footwear as I over thought the hide for far too long.. those blackberries have now had a good trample....after looking high and low in all the wrong spots..I reached out to a few PAF... l finally spied the cache....I released an expletive or two that attribute was certainly not in the description.....okay I hadn't come this far to turn away..again I was thankful for my grippy bog Gumboots they did me well as I went in for a big tree hug to grab the cache...how I managed to sign it and replace it one handed without dropping it or me into the drink is still baffling me, but I succeeded. I even managed to get back to shore without any incidents. A favourite point for the initial creative puzzle.
Well I first looked at this cache on 18th August 2018 and got first half of this multi but came up a dead stop had many a way point but none viable that matched the checker.I had a suspicion it was somewhere but I was half right not exactly where I was thinking but I knew what I needed to access gz.
Finally weather was perfect to go get this cache 15 degrees on a sunny winters day with no wind.
Got to gz to find the place full of blackberries luckily I had work boots on so I could flatten them, spotted the cache once I got myself positioned right.
A favorite point and glad I’ve finally got this as a little yellow smiley.
Sl thanks Poiter for the cache.

Well where do I start with this cache back at the beginning I guess, l did attempt trying to solve this problematic one and failed then next time was after an event in the area with a bunch of geo minded experienced players and failed again but learnt something new and now years later I have discussed this cache and had a recent 3 hour meeting at macca's with my good friend kbucky about solving this mysterious problem after numerous and multiple attempts we finally did have the GZ co-ords, today's mission was to go get it what an extraordinary & adventurous exploration it was, very happy to finally have a yellow smiley face here, special thanks to kbucky for this adventure and poiter.h dunno how you work this stuff out but it's one hell of a geocache and story...
Tiddalik must have been laughing a lot of late! The excess water has fuelled blackberries which are on steroids but figured they wouldn’t be sprayed and had my first taste of blackberries in the wild since I was a child. Tiddalik was first brought to my attention by Stammily ages ago and it piqued my interest. This started the journey to solve and find this intriguing cache. Found stage 1 & 2 easily with others then set about next step. Well, this has seen me try many permutations and combinations- I have endless spreadsheets and notes. Kashbound and I decided to meet up and go through what we collectively had. After 3 hours we nearly called it quits when Kashbound made a comment and it all clicked into place.
Some more sorting armed with new tool, and we had the green tick.
We just sat back in disbelief and joy.
Plans were then made for when we could hopefully find and sign Tiddalik.
After a couple of postponements, today was the day.
It was fun and adventurous and joyous and so very, very satisfying.
Kashbound made the actual find as I was still cautiously walking my way not wanting another geocaching injury. (Broken thumb)
Team work with Kashbound everything - more fun, more skill, more help, more joy celebrated with special bikkies!
Poiter.h, I loved the first cache I did of yours - it was my early days and your cache was so creative and different and inspired me to further explore geocaching and hide ones of my own.
What a cache! thank you !

We had worked on the first part of this multi some time ago and got stuck and had not got back to revisiting it, but fortunately for us Rebel Acts had had more success. Even more fortunately Rebel knows we have a kayak, so we finally decided to go after this one.
The purchase some time ago of an updated car had presented us with a problem in that it is considerably higher and we were not sure Mrs SKI would be tall enough for us to successfully get it on and off the car. We worked round this problem and duly met Rebel as close to GZ as we could get. With the kayak unloaded it was a 2 stage process to get all 3 of us to GZ, dodging the ski boat racers as we did so.
The cache was soon located after we tried one approach and decided that another one was better as there were no blackberries.
We replaced the log in a waterproof container within the original container and then began the task of ferrying ourselves back to the car.
Not a big outing, but we rediscovered some muscles we haven't used in a while.
A very satisfying find.

I found the puzzle section of the cache quite easily and took about 15 minutes to solve it. I love these types of puzzles and was glad I was able to solve it by myself. I was part of a group a few years ago where we unsuccessfully searched for it. Remembering the expedition and considering the lateness of the day and our tiredness, I decided to try to search for it another day.
saddly the numbers i have wont get a tick in the checker, despite the co confirming i am on the money

After a lot of confusion and recalculations we finally came up with the end location.
We packed all necessary items to recover this cache.
And we got it !!
Sorry for the late log.
Thanks Poiter.h

After retrieving the initial clues it took some pondering on what to do with this information. Finally today it was decided we would attempt the find hopeful that we had the correct coordinates. Thankfully they were and it was gwd.aussie who spotted the cache.
Thanks Poiter.h

I had absolutely no idea what to do with this one, sorry and it looks like I'm not the only one. Poor guy, hope he gets found!
Marking this one as a work in progress.
An eight vehicle convoy is working on this cache and some headway has been made, so will log such in due time.

A work in progress, tried a few combinations but nothing that looked searchable, time to swim I guess. “ how the cache is preforming.” Not real well by the number of logs. I shall return with the Yak
Working on this multi together was a nice distraction to the chilly weather conditions. Once the Event was over we headed off in a convoy to what was an unsuccessful attempt to find the next stage. The search brought together a group of cachers on a mission. Even the local police did a drive by to check our progress. Thanks for the challenge, but no luck for us today.
Seemed like a good idea to attempt a particularly evil Poiter.h Multi/puzzle while at today's Moe Event. Hey, Peter, were your ears burning? A team effort to assemble the items at the start, and we came up with several potential sets of coordinates and a couple of other strange clues. Ideas were postulated, discussed and rejected. TOTT were produced, some clues discovered, and a convoy set off to check out some of the nearer possibilities. Some red herrings were discovered, terrains traversed, and even a drone search. Although we came, we saw, we did not conquer. Still great fun, but back to the drawing board. Our thanks anyway to Poiter.h.
We 9 Teams are Not logging this as a DNF yet as we never looked for the cache we where still sorting out the waypoints.
After seeing this become live again and being in moe we set out yesterday to collect the info we needed or so we thought. Had a bit of head of a head scratch then something clicked that seemed to be on the right track. So i headed back over this morning with grannygeo in tow and we set out to where we gotten a good looking set of coords for. Ohhhh how wrong we were it didnt take long for my hand to get wound up in black berries. Currently have a tissue soaking up the blood even climb a tree that put at gz.....but was gz really gz thats the underlying question of debate. Its now time for a cuppa before set off again looking at this from a complete different angle. Its not caching unless theres blood lol well with me anyway.
Had a bit of a look at where the GPS took me after work, but I have know idea if it's right or wrong ? I'll have another go soon
We found the puzzle thought we had a

Hi all,
My multi cache Tiddalik has now been republished. For those that have been and found the start point before the night of Saturday 14/7/18 will have to revisit it, as some things have changed.
Sorry about the confusion, but there was a couple of matters that had to cleared up, on my part.
Thanks to Bunjil for being patient with me.

Late log, sorry.
Found puzzle easy enough.
Spent some time at puzzle workshop working thru it.
Worked out a couple of gzs, however none seemed likely looking at GoogleMaps.
Spoke to KrysLazz about it and bounced some ideas around.
Suspect I am missing something, or something not right.

I had been keeping an eye on the cache and went to log my DNF from yesterday and realised that the cache was no longer published. At the end of having discussions with Billy and 999Hunter, we surmised that more information must be need to be added.
"Well that makes sense" I thought, coz I had noooooooo idea...
I held my Robot Charli Workshop here today and 999Hunter was one of the attendees. He had gotten as far as we had with stage one and was left scratching his head.
Poiter arrived at the workshop and laughed at us telling us that he had added some more requirements and that we "Just had to think about it."
We managed to obtain the extra information that was added to stage one today, but if anything that only confused us more.
It gave us many more options for A and B.... Almost as many as XYZ actually, but nothing seemed to be relevant to the new info clinking into place.
Unfortunetley... Im out. For now. I was prepared to do a 200m swim. I was prepared to climb a tree. I was prepared to have to work really hard for this cache and really nut it out, but I think without any direction or even a clue of a direction, I may have to wait to see what others can come up with.
TFTC tho. Appreciate the time and effort spent on it and what we have managed to do so far has been great.

With a new set of co-ords, Krys and I returned to GZ again.
Found and solved the first puzzle. But the co-ords we produced were dodgy.
One set was on the middle of a private property.
The other set was in the middle of a lake.
We drove to the lake, but with no confidence in our coordinates didn't attempt the swim.

I was umpiring netball when I heard my phone ding on the sideline. The cache owner had modified the original coordinates and let us know that we should be looking somewhere different than we had on Thursday night. Im supposed to stay and help coach for the next game, but the temptation got too much for me and off I headed.
Billy must have received the same notification and called me to tell me he was on his way. I got there before he did and found the very clever, well made hiding spot for the first bit of this Multi. I was excited to find its contents and couldnt wait for Billy to get there. I solved it quickly, but didnt have the required tool that I knew I needed.
I put everything back and awaited Billy's entrance. "You found it already?" He asked me. "Yeah but I put it back and waited for you." I watched as he got to the same point as i did. He came prepared with the special tool and soon enough we had two likely places to go next.
We had lots of questions, but its a D3.5 we didnt expect it to be too easy. The first place seemed unlikely, but Billy wanted to try anyway (good thinking, just incase. The second seemed plausible due to the attributes. " Im prepared to go for a swim," I told him.
So we headed two place one... That definately wasnt where we were meant to be. Private property even though Google maps looks like it may be accessable. Off to the second. We tried the South Access point, but i knew this time of year it was unlikely. Couldnt get in, so off we went... All the way around, off to the north side.
"How the hell do we get there though. The closest point was through think shrub and my lask of physical activity lately was coming back to bite me in the bum. It was tough. When we got to the shore line we saw something around 200m in the direction the GPS was pointing... "Thats a big swim" I said.
Billy said lets try and get closer. We found an overgrown path and even a little brigde that i suspect no one had walked down in years. When we go adjacent to the thing we had seen we realised that the GPS was no longer in that direction and further than we initially thought.
I would have still given it a go and swam that far off shore but not when there was nothing out there....???? We sat. We pondered. Its it a little of A and and Little of B? Its it and average of the two???
We decided to retreat back to the car instead of aimlessly put things together and go on any more wild goose chases.
As we drove back to town, I felt as if i was a dog heading back with my tail between my legs. We questioned, we talked... but got know where. We thought "You win Poiter, you win".

Had 20 mins before heading to netball and thought id head down and give billy a bit of a hand. I had a few ideas, but none of them any good. Will return to have a better look really soon
Returned after work ... hoping the different light, and the extra eyes of Krys would help.
At GZ already was Kashbound .... three heads proved to be no better than one.
Lots of ideas.
Lots of "what ifs".
No closer to a find.
