Just collecting the new series nearby and picked up this stray along the way. Love the container... TFTC
Find 68 of 72 on a big IGD day around Toodyay, first on a 20km bike ride along the river and back to the event HQ, then out in the car expecting to cop some heavy rain which never really arrived, with three FTFs thrown in. A very good day, thanks to all the COs who have placed and maintained caches for our enjoyment, even those that set up multis. Mrs O went for this one while Mr O continued to solve as many as possible, "just in time".
"Found it! Remembering the words of Confucius: 'It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.' Onward to more discoveries! This is my 5183 find.Thank you WheatbeltScience for placing and maintaining this cache.SirFancy West Oz Geocaching committee member.www.west-oz-geocaching.com/
Used the pull off into the archery park to leave the car and walked down to GZ.Went up and down a little when we arrived before SirFancy spotted the cover and unveiled the cache.Fun setup that fits the area perfectly, have a favourite. Day 1 of the IGD weekend got off to a great start, as I was able to finish the workday a little early and join SirFancy for the drive out to Toodyay.Along the way, we stopped at Gidgegannup and Noble Falls, collecting adventure labs and caches as we went. After settling into our accommodations, we headed into town, bumping into a multitude of other teams as we focused on non-traditional caches. The evening was spent enjoying conversation and a good meal at the sundowner event before wandering around town to gather the information needed to begin the abundance of new multi-caches in the area.It was a fantastic start to what promises to be a weekend full of caching. Today I managed to collect 17 finds, attend one event, and end with zero DNFs. Thanks go to WheatbeltScience for placing and maintaining the Traditional cache WST - Hoddywell Archery Park for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 15:02 on 16/8/2024.This is find number 9160 for me.
Out and about again, massive day out starting super early and doing some wheatbelt caches then heading to Southern Cross. Stopped for some food at the roadhouse and then continued to Kal and Kambalda, then back to Marvel Loch to catch up with the Aurora Ranges posse.Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today. Thanks to all the COs for the hides I found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. A little quiver today with the heat and in snake country, but the intrigue with so many favourite points got the better of me and off I went, through the bush with trusty workboots on!!No snakes around with the noise made But a quick flitter of the heart made for a great well themed find. Definitely a favourite point for this one, awesome to see it wasnt a micro in the bush
Stopped in to complete this cache as a bit of a deviation on the way home from Koorda, after our GIFF event. After enjoying a pie and a leg stretch in Toodyay with C10, I then headed over to pick up a cache at Nardie Cemetery and the Windmill Cutting. A couple more caches on the backroads also got a visit on the way back towards Perth, before I called it a day to do some adult things like buying a washing machine. Pulled up on the southbound side of the road and toddle through the bush in my thongs to make a quick find. A creative and well themed cache, worthy of a favourite point. Thanks WheatbeltScience!
A sleep in this morning in the cool weather.
Mrs F did her morning walk whilst Mr F did the housework and packed lunch.
Then we hit the road to tackle a few caches. Seems we added some KEP track caches along the way. Visited a winery and just had to do a tasting and have a chat (after finding the cache of course) visited some historic spots, some clever evil caches along the way. Did some cache maintenance to help out the CO's and returned to camp on dusk. Big day out for these nomads.

Wow. This maybe one of the best I’ve seen so far. Everything about it, the construction, everything. Everyone needs to put down their drink, fold in the recliner, jump in the car and come out and see this. TFTC fav point goes without saying.
Another unique container here and a fave point is awarded from us!
We had a trip planned for this neck of the woods in March but the ‘Rona virus put a halt to that and we have only just got around to booking some free time to get away from home. This cache was one we targeted for our two day mini-adventure, cheers and TFTC.

We teamed up with Everlasting today for a relaxed caching trip in and around Toodyay. We enjoyed cycling along banks of the Avon, walking in the local bush land and gazing at fantastic views from hill tops. Thanks WheatbeltScience for contributing to our wonderful day.
Staying in Northam after a weekend of camping at Elachbutting and Kwolyin. Collecting some smileys before heading home. Armed with Megam01 who is much more nimble and capable of acrobatic moves - youth on her side. Thanks to all the COs for placing the caches for us to enjoy.
Great camo!
Great camo!
Had a great time grabbing this one in the dark and never seen anything like it love how creative it is TFTC
Another in the WST series ticked off. I used to do archery years ago and loved it- not sure now why I stopped. Appreciated the effort put into the themed cache. Thanks Wheatbeltscience
WAGB long weekend Unexpectedly I had to make two trips to this cache - one to find it, and a second the next day to pick up my GPS that I left behind! This was the final cache I visited on day 2 of WAGB. As I was here at dusk I doubted anyone had visited after me, so when I realised the next day that I didn't have my GPS I knew where it'd be. Back in the car for another drive over and luckily there it was sitting on the log where I'd left it Had no problems finding the cache on either occasion Loved the unique hide - a fave point from me. Definitely keen to try out the range over the road too! No problems here - TFTC
On the way home from the WAGB19 event with SVKR_WA picking up the odd cache here and there. Called in here and found the interesting container without too much trouble.
WheatbeltScience I found your cache at 12:44pm, this was the 11th of 12 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5407. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

After exploring the Westcoast of WA we finally made it to Avon Valley. We will spend here the last 3 days of our Hollyday in Australia. Today we explored the beautiful village of York and Toodyay! We have an hotel room in York so exploring the village of York is not that hard! Tomorrow we drive to the NP of Avon Valley. Next day after we take the very long flight back to Belgium! We logged a lot of caches today! Thanks to all the co's for placing their caches!
Greetings from the far Belgium!

Found it! Creative way of hiding a cache, I had a lot of fun finding it with the other familymembers. Thanks for the cache! Merry Christmas from Holland!
An amazing cache hide ..... brilliant, brilliant, brilliant ..... well done Totally enjoyed it and was watched by the cache guardian .... an Emu (escapee ???) TFTC
Impromptu cache hunt on the way back to Clackline from Toodyay this afternoon. Glad we stopped at this one! Very creative cache container worthy of a favourite point! We even saw an emu close by afterwards! (maybe an escapee from the nearby free range emu farm?!). TFTC ^_^
**Update - we visited the emu farm 29/12/17 and talked to the owner - it turns out it very likely was an escapee as they are currently missing an emu @_@

pug002 found it 9/12/2017, nice and easy camo, no grass seeds like our recent trip to do the LGA series. TFTC
Well it’s now day 18 of our LGA gathering plus just basic enjoyment trip with m4yb, Jonathan the camper trailer and Max the GeoUte. And our last day before heading home tomorrow.
Grabbing a few for our last day. Wow a really neat place, and a very interesting write up about the place. Have a fav from moi.

Day 18 of our Adventure to the northern Goldfields and now in the Wheatbelt. And we are still exploring around the Toodyay area before sadly heading back to the city.
Now after finishing a few TbroG that were left over, we try to add smileys on Toodyay Road.
Love this cache, clever and appropriate, and well worth the small detour on the way “home”. TFTC wheatbelt Science, a fave too!

Headed out today with the intention of grabbing the new cache in the Moondyne Forrest, which had been published last night and we weren't able to get as we were out chasing caches in civilisation land near jarrahdale and then moving onto finding caches around toodyay and Northam.
Safe to say today was a bit of a struggle, after only 3 hours of sleep I was up and ready for work, once I got there, a need for me to head to Northam a day earlier than expected. All I could think about was the possibilities.
A call to Steve as I knew he was having ANOTHER day off soon Hatcher a plan, a little unusual to drive the distance we did in seperate cars however Steve. Ended to be back in Perth in the morning.
Thanks to the local COs for a great day out with 20 odd finds notched up and some great caches knocked over!

Picked up the four caches in the long P series, which was a very long parking bay indeed.
Continued along to find the FTF in the moondyne Forrest and was able to drive straight up to it in a standard 2wd car and of course the 4wd too. Was nice to see a bit of firnsy influence in the hide, especially since the hide was hidden that long ago? I still remember him sharing his plan for a Geo Art series out this way.
We continued on finding odd caches from the Juliane wonder and tourist drive 359 series which we had managed to miss last time.
We ducked in to grab a 2003 team tuff cache the roundabout which was in series need of TLC which was performed with a full replacement cache from a 1l sistema to a nice PVC cache.
Making out way into toodyay we managed to snag a few of the toodyay trek caches, leaving the remainder for a days drive out at the start of November for the GIFF event, which were looking forward to.
We collected another of the days goals - the wheatbelt science cache at the hoddywell archery park, which was a ripper cache.
We then drove into Northam where we grabbed the other wheatbelt science trail cache at the solar array in the car park of the shopping centre which I had heard of before which never seen in person. Another ripper cache here.
We had a little bit of time up our sleeve where we found the velodrome cache which I made a lot harder than it needed to be after insisting the cache was hidden a certain way, in fact it was significantly easier than I had thought.
Cravo had to grab some stuff from work in Northam so I decided to make an attempt at the d5t3 cache Iva Jane just out of town. Made a meal of the search but narrowing it down every time we come here, which is a pleasure, I think.
Last find for the day was in wundowie on the new cache which was a very well placed hide. If this continues we're going to have some seriously good caching competition in wundowie between bristag, jasenjanine and team t. What a delight for us visitors!!

Whilst Jase & DangerMouse09 where busy cooking up a storm, I happened to notice this cache pop up... Dinner was going to be at least an hour away, so Master 6 & I loaded up the GPS & quickly headed out the door
Before to long, we were arriving at GZ and with only 20m to go Master 6 darted off towards the obvious object... He was quick to spot the well themed container & thought it would be lots of fun to play with Thankfully I managed to lure the cache from his hands before he could "play" with that too!
Thanks for the great cache WheatbeltScience
