87 finds with some fantastic logs and 38 favourite points is a good run for this cache which was one of my favourite creations but alas GZ can no longer support this hide. So away it goes on the shuttle for redeployment.

Very nice idea. Took my shot and bullseye....must be my lucky day. No blood was shed in the finding of this cache. Easier than some of those showground shooting alleys. TFTC

After a Point Lillias cleanup event, n0w0rries and I headed out for some shenanigans (duh).
I've wanted to get down here for these themed caches since not quite reaching them when treating my younger child to the Fun for Kids series. That day, we ran out of day, and they ran out of patience, so it was a case of so near, yet...
So here we were today on our way to getting up to no good.
Nice one, abl973. I don't think I'm cut out to be a Stormtrooper, as I'm too short and my aim is too good.

A day of caching with RoamingHowie, today targeting Brisbane Ranges.
Found what we needed to do and made the shot. BOOM! Bullseye!
A fav point here for something different.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, abl973

The weather was looking a little dicey so I teamed up with OzHockeyChick and we decided to head west and try and get ahead of the weather for the day.
We spotted the first part of this multi on parking the car. After lining things up we soon were heading for a likely location. A clever twist on a multi. A fav from me for the creativity.
Thanks abl973 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Knocking this short series over on our way to the campfire event at Bunjil Lookout.
Multis are still my favourite cache types. Only ever seen a couple that use this *(or a similar)* type of projection.
I wish I was in my car, I would have added a dry, stone paper log book.
Perhaps a finder in the near future will oblige.
Thank abl973, added to the list of favourites. [^]

Heading done to Geelong this morning for the 2 events that are on in the area today and then the 2 events near Ballarat tomorrow.
I left home nice and early to hopefully find a few caches in the morning on the way down.
Continuing along backroads that I have never travelled on before I made to the base of the Brisbane Ranges NP.
Now this is a place I must come back to but that is for another day.
Turned off the bitumen and onto a type of road that I enjoy travelling on as dirt usually means less people out and about on them.
Last one of this nice little series that is along here.
Now I soon realised that I was not a stormtrooper as I hit the target with my first shot not like those who wear white suits.
Off to check my shot and bingo I soon added my name to the log.
Thanks abl973 TFTC.

Nice creative geocache. Unfortunately the container and logbook have been soaked. Which is surprising for what container it is. Tftc
Log is very very wet and not able to write on it. Geobro has sent through photo evidence - TFTC
Headed out today after being released from regional lockdown. Cowgirl_101 and I were hoping to complete the Fun for Kids trail which we started back in 2018! we got fairly distracted along the way and completed a few extra caches along the way.
We really enjoyed completing this multi with a difference. Log was found and signed. TFTC abl973. A fav from us. Would have liked to assign a fav for all your caches for all your hard work.

We are really fortunate that ABL chose this area as one of his favourite places to hide treasure.
I lifted Aysen up here, he took the shot and followed it to the destination where he enjoyed looking at the swag. Great fun.

We almost expected this road to be called Empire Road. We did like that the caches were placed on Star Wars Day. It is also great to see some bigger size caches. Mr Dromaniax is a fan of Star Wars, Mrs Dromaniax, not so much, but the caches down this road were fun and the wildflowers that were out were spectacular. There were slipper orchids, heaths, banksias and correas to name several. This logbook unfortunately was toast, soggy, soggy toast, so we have added a replacement logbook in a new ziplock bag. Thank you for this cache abl1973. An FP for the innovative way of projecting from a waypoint to GZ.
Out for a drive today...
wow a whopper, I like this type of multi, (no maths)

Well at least I know my son had better aim than stormtroopers, as my eyes couldn’t see GZ. I love the concept, have dropped a Travel Holocron travel bug to start his journey, fav for me thanks
A caching trip around Meredith and Steiglitz with day1976. After doing the caches we had planned, we headed up towards the Bungal State Forest, finding other caches on the way.
Cool idea for a multi!

Found by The Empire with Snap Happy, omegaman1971 and Rebel Acts.
Heading out caching today and new caching gang was formed! On our way out to a series in the Brisbane Ranges, picking up a few finds on the way. OM and RA were here a few months back, in fact they were the last names in the logs here today - Snap and I were able to pick these up today easily. Thanks for the cache abl973.

With The ring of Swiss cheese coming down we could now catch up with our Metro Mates, so once again I teamed up with Omegaman1971 and headed to the Geelong area to do some of the many labs and several caches in the area. We had a great time exploring the area. Today We started in Geelong but got a little frustrated with suburban caching so we headed to the Brisbane Ranges to do the Fun for kids trail.
This was one of the caches we found today. Loved this one, gets a Fav from Me.

Hi there Cache Owner,.
Thank you for acknowledging the Needs Maintenance log of May/27/2020 .

CO's of caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis will be given some extra time to react. Caches where the cache owner does not currently feel it is safe to maintain will not be archived in the normal time frame, as long as there is some indication from the CO. **Don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do:-#
- Should the regional Health and Victorian Government requirements allow it **AND** you feel it safe for you to maintain and address this cache now, please feel free to do so. Don't forget to log an 'Owner Maintenance ' log and also Enable the cache once the issue is fixed.
- **Alternatively,** what you need to do is place a Write Note log indicating a date when you you expect you might be able to attend to the issue/s.
#Please Note#
When the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if there is no acknowledgment from the CO as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.

I headed out today to find some old caches and some nominated for the awards caches, this was neither one of those but as I was driving right by it, I made a stop and had a look.
I had to back track as the road was closed where it was so it then gave my a chance to find these ones along this stretch.
This was certainly a multi with a difference but it worked fine a the cache was quickly located.
A was a bit surprise at how wet the logbook is but I still managed to get my name on it.
**Thanks to abl973 for placing this cache.**

Still waterlogged. Honestly though one of the most fun and creative ones I’ve found yet
27 May 2020,swimming storm troopers, log absolutely waterlogged, but nice cache that makes sense!
Catching up on some logging from the past few months. What an interesting and different idea for a cache, great fun. After making my shot accurately I was soon adding my name to the log. A very enjoyable experience, thanks for the cache abl973.
This caching day started off in a fine way, but the weather changed as time went by and the last few we ended up finding in the rain with ilook4geo.
Just as well we did not shoot too early, as we would have hit a kangaroo which was right at GZ. Wondered if it was sighting us up! However, after we selected the right position for the container and started heading over there, the roo decided to make itself scarce. Found what we wanted, signed the log and replaced in position. Thanks go to abl973 for this cache placement.

Found this cache after coming along with goingplaces2 for a morning's treasure hunt. We found what we wanted, signed each log and then replaced each one where it belonged. It was a good hunt for the day. Managed to miss the local wildlife. TFTC.
Love this cache! Really enjoyed the multi. Lots of fun... right on target. Thanks for the cache
Staying at Geelong we planned to find caches in and around the Steiglitz area and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ as Mrs "T" guided Mr "T" to the cache, cache and contents were in good condition and adding to our favourites.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I do love a Star Wars theme.
This one's description made me laugh. Surely there is 1 stormtrooper who can aim!
Found with FUF009.
We camped at Bunjil lookout last night and cached around the area up towards Steiglitz before heading into Geelong and then out to Lara.
It was hot today but nicer in the bush areas.

After staying at Bunjil Lookout, our plans were to cache the area and then head up around Steiglitz before heading into Lara for Geelong's 2018 Annual Christmas Dinner event.
I always love caching in the bush, every area is so different and there always great sized caches to find.
After finding the caches in the Cludo series we were off to grab some Stars Wars themed caches.
Ive seen a few caches like this now, and they are all well done, this is another to add to that list.

What an ingenious way to find the cache - we had not seen one of this type before. It was well planned and very well implemented. The system worked so well that we soon found the nice large strong cache container. We will give you a fav from us as we did enjoy finding the cache - great idea. More beautiful wildflowers nearby.

Out for the day with my brother Snap Happy, cleaning up fun for kids series, that has been on the radar for some time. We also managed to grab a few extra caches along the way. We discovered many great and clever hides and had no DNF's amongst the finds. Some interesting scenery, in an area I don't normally travel. A very successful day, with some laughs and good company.
This was a fun multi, that my geo son would have loved. We had it in our sights, so a quick find was made.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks abl973 for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Well, we can safely say we shot to thrill today on our very last cache as we hit a bullseye straight away. So we were able to sign the last well themed cache log without being disturbed by any Stormtroopers.

Nice one. Left eye was more accurate than the right. Grandson would have loved this one. Had to dodge little blue hen’s laser beam en route to the cache. TFTCSL
Turned out I was a crack shot.... A novel way for doing this cache. Another first for me with this kind of cache. TFTC
Found 11:10:00 AM, during our November Caching day out with Muzza

I was out and about with Biggles Bear for our monthly caching adventure, this time to the Brisbane ranges and surrounds. Got it!
My thanks to abl973 for the cache.

Catching up with some late logs
After having a great time at the International Earthcache Day Event we joined forces with Alansee to try our luck with a few caches in the area, in particular the Clued series and after finishing that we had time for a few more before heading home.
We had seen a similar thing many, many years ago with a series that Chookies had put out in Beacons field but this in no way took away from this cache. We did what was required at wpt1
and soon knew where to head to gz. Once there we are happy to say that the cache was a quick find and our names were happily added to the log.
Many thanks abl973 for a nice little multi

Found with Team Crackers. He spotted the mechanism first and after lining it up the rest of us went for a walk and soon found the cache.
Didn't know what to expect here! Thankfully it turns out that I'm a crack shot lol. TFTC
I decided to take a drive down to Steiglitz and see what had attracted a number of cachers to place and maintain caches in this area for over a decade in some cases. The park didn't disappoint but before I got there my car's GPS sent me on a wild and weird attempt to cross from Geelong-Ballan Rd to the Steiglitz-Durdidwarrah Rd via a number of different tracks. Don't you love it when the maps haven't been updated with track and road closures?
So instead of doing the Clued series first, working my way back to Butchers Rd and then down to the Steiglitz historical precinct proper I ended up doing all but the Emperor's Enforcer on this road first. This was the fourth find of the day and the cache itself was found without issue.
I thought the concept behind this multi was innovative. No counting, no plaque reading just a bit of a wander around until I settled upon the item at WP1 and what a nicely themed item it was. At least we now know why Storm Troopers are a notoriously bad shot. If they're all clones....

After attending a CITO - Protecting the Ponds earlier in the morning, we thought we would go from a drive and pick up a few extra smilies.
This is a cool multi. A beautiful area and nice spot for a drive especially with the flowers coming out.

The names alone made us inquisitive! We set out today, feeling like apprentices, to test our skill against the Empire! Engaging with rebel flagships and banking without incurring imperial taxes. Unfortunately we were unable to take advantage of the free intergalactic parcel post. No matter the cost we did post a favourite point for each of these cleverly constructed hides, which reflected the story of the cache page.
Thanks abl973 (F=5687 H=29) for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Out and about with 6 hinemoa 2 for a day in Steigleitz. Wasn't sure what to expect when we got here but we soon had the ammo loaded and the shot completed to give us a smilie. Thanks abl973 for a very entertaining cache. A Fave point for something different
OK. My aim was good but I wasn't sure what else i had to do. Took a chance on it and soon had a lovely big bullet storage container.
Has to have a FP for its effectiveness.
Thanks for the challenge here abl973

Suscoe headed out on a morning wander with our good mate Bushfire.
It was a cool morning, a bit of wind from the south west and a few clouds here and there but mostly sunny to start with.
That changed late morning with some drizzle and low clouds.
We had a terrific time out wandering about the bush.
The tracks were in pretty good condition given the soggy week.
There were lots of birds calling as we made our way around the area.
We even spotted a wallaby heading quickly to the north.
Thanks to abl973 for this hide.
We enjoyed the trip down Butcher's Road for this second instalment of caches after having done the other three some time ago.
We enjoyed this one, with a team effort the hide was located and the log signed.
A nice multi, and a good end note for a pleasant morning out caching.
Time to head home for lunch we reckon.
A favourite from us.

First up, most definitely a favourite point for this most excellently devised hide. It worked perfectly and I was soon adding my name to the log.
Thankfully my aim was a little better than that of a storm trooper.

You can have a favourite for this one. Both featherdown and I enjoyed the challenge here. I have seen a couple of caches like this in the past but not for ages.
Nice big container yet again

With a couple of hours to spare this morning, we decide to head out for some caches. We always enjoy this area and today was no exception. I always approach multis with trepidation, will it all work out or not ? [B)] I needn't have worried, as the concept here was brilliant. I hadn't seen this used before and it made my day. A huge fave point from me, well done !! Thanks for bringing us back to this beautiful area. TFTC abl973
Not needing to be anywhere in particular but needing to run a couple of small errands we decided to pick up a couple of caches.
We had the littlest with us and thought we'd be able to sweeten the deal with star wars themed ones.
We thought wrong... There was feet dragging and loud sighs, even more so when he realised he wasn't tall enough to set sights on the cache!
Thankfully we were! We loved the simple but genius way to find the cache - very worthy of 1 of our favourite points.
Funny when we started caching 100 seemed like a huge number. Now we're up to 1,200!!
Thanks for the fun themed cache - loved the container yet again - Everything was in excellent condition.
Another find by the McPhail family... TFTC

Third for the ageing Bushfire today, lots of thought and effort put into this cache.
Today was planned a few weeks ago after some very long hours at work enabled me to have an extra day off today to go on a geocaching adventure. The geo boy was in for the day and bushfire and I talked about heading for Creswick so we teamed up, leaving just as the sun was rising. I was a great day out chasing a few caches that we both had on our lists. I love this area, the Brisbane Ranges are great. This was our last stop while in this area before driving through Steiglitz and onto Ballarat This was a fun, quick multi. We worked out what was needed and made the find without trouble. A nice themed multi cache. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this multi cache, abl973**
**Smile # 5040**
**Cache container and log in good condition**
**A favourite from me**

Joint [FTF] with Ausfox;
With one first to find under our belt already in the fading light we set our "sights" on this cleverly set out cache. With the accuracy of a storm trooper shoot at the Jawa's transport vehicle we had our target in sight.
Again Sims_family Miss11 took the lead getting to GZ first. She found the cache and another empty log book
Thank you abl973 for the multi with a difference that is getting a favourite from me

New cache published so I thought I'd give it a go until TheSimsFamily said they were head for the hills so a change of plans and another target.
With the cache in sight we were able to claim a Joint [FTF] with a better strike rate than a stormtrooper.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache able983
