Staying nearby & enjoying a wetlands walk, figured a little hunting was in order. Nice easy find, thanks
Spending a few days in the Southern suburbs visiting some new places. I don’t come down this way too often so plenty of unfound caches here to keep me occupied.
I really should come here more often…it’s beautiful around here.
Thanks for the cache ROPENUT.

I heard something about a badge level thingy for writing longer logs... so feel to ignore from this point onwards.
Thanks for going to the effort to prepare, hide and submit this geocache for me to find, another smiley for my geomap.

This was a lovely walk along the creek finding these, apart from the wet shoes due to the sour sops the caches were all good.
This weekend we headed south to the fleurieu peninsula for a camping night away and to also attend a CITO at Victor Harbour plus find a few caches along the way, total of 70 for the trip and a nice 2 days away.
Thanks for the cache

Out for an afternoon caching on the bike today. Made my way through the real aliens series without too much trouble. Tftc!!
Hmm we have an Uncle and Aunty who have Gray as their last name, hmm. Maybe they have disguised their skin colour but are still proud enough to have the name, hmm?
Grey became a highly fashionable color in the 18th century, both for women's dresses and for men's waistcoats and coats. It looked particularly luminous coloring the silk and satin fabrics worn by the nobility and wealthy.
Women's fashion in the 19th century was dominated by Paris, while men's fashion was set by London. The grey business suit appeared in the mid-19th century in London; light grey in summer, dark grey in winter; replacing the more colorful palette of men's clothing early in the century.
The clothing of women working in the factories and workshops of Paris in the 19th century was usually grey. This gave them the name of grisettes. "Gris" or grey also meant drunk, and the name "grisette" was also given to the lower class of Parisian prostitutes.
Grey also became a common color for military uniforms; in an age of rifles with longer range, soldiers in grey were less visible as targets than those in blue or red. Grey was the color of the uniforms of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War, and of the Prussian Army for active service wear from 1910 onwards.
Several artists of the mid-19th century used tones of grey to create memorable paintings; Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot used tones of green-grey and blue grey to give harmony to his landscapes, and James McNeill Whistler created a special grey for the background of the portrait of his mother, and for his own self-portrait.
Whistler's arrangement of tones of grey had an effect on the world of music, on the French composer Claude Debussy. In 1894, Debussy wrote to violinist Eugène Ysaÿe describing his Nocturnes as "an experiment in the combinations that can be obtained from one color – what a study in grey would be in painting".
Twentieth and twenty-first centuries
In the late 1930s, grey became a symbol of industrialization and war. It was the dominant color of Pablo Picasso's celebrated painting about the horrors of the Spanish Civil War, Guernica.
After the war, the grey business suit became a metaphor for uniformity of thought, popularized in such books as The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (1955), which became a successful film in 1956. The only book we can think of was 50 shades of grey!
Thanks ROPENUT for the cache, found it, signed the log and replaced as found. TNLN

Being a Sci-Fi fan this series grabbed my attention so, finally after a few months , i decided to go make serious inroads in this series possibly even grabbing them all.
Wet tall weeds are a turn-off for my shoes and socks [:o] so i was hoping to grab at least half of them today
This one was 1st cab off the rank, being parked on Commercial road just north of a bus stop.
The plan was to walk to them all, which would include a creek crossing after the 'Tall Grays' cache.
With Muggles walking their dogs and the day just simply being awesome the grass was still wet after a very cold night so it was gonna be a "Try to keep my shoes and socks dry" day lol...... ha ha yeah right! Good luck with that one!
By the time i made it to this, the 1st cache, they were already showing signs of moisture infiltration aaaargh!
A quick find and sign at GZ at 09:55 on Sat 27 June 2020.

All is good and dry within the cache.
"Roswell Grey" is actually a colour apparently

So this was a fairly full-on solo geocaching day for me today, and I wanted to make the most of the terrific weather that had the right temperature, sun out and blue sky. The plan was to head south to tackle some of the power trails / series, and for the most part, that was achieved. My day started at Seaford, and then it was a run along the creek finding the *Real Aliens* series. I then diverted towards the ocean, to find a nemesis oldie and enjoy a run along Moana's cliffs. A selection of the *Cats and Dogs* series were detoured past, before a break at Aldinga's bakery. Next was the *Forty Winks* series, and then back towards the ocean to enjoy a few caches at Sellicks Beach. It was getting to late afternoon by the time I drove through Myponga, and targeted a few hiking geocaches around there, and back towards Sellicks Hill. By this time, it was dark, and so made my way home, having utilised this great weather as best as I could.
Kityaparri Pedler Creek Reserve here was great! I really enjoyed this location, and there were a few runners and dog walkers about the creek and lakes! I wish I had left these geocaches to bring my partner to the area, but never mind.
This cache was found reasonably quickly just off the path, with thanks to a telltale sign. The cache container was fine, but the logbook is full, and probably needs attention. I'm also not a fan of swag at the best of times, but someone had jammed in a small animal figurine, separating me from the logbook, so I had to fiddle with it for a few minutes until it was out. I made sure to place it back in the next Real Aliens cache container instead. Thanks ROPENUT for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Out and about with AnyMules and Kiwi Ozzie for a day caching in the South. Time to go for a stroll around the wetlands and collect some caches. [^]
I sometimes feel a bit grey after a big night out. Does that make me and alien.
Another quick find during our wander!
Thanks ROPENUT for the cache.

Found by The Boofs TFTC. I had planned to complete this series all in one day - then life gets in the way. Between the breaks in the weather, taking the kids here there and everywhere, and life in general I finally finished them all - after 8 days!!! So much for planning!! Regardless I got a lot of pokemon that I didn't already have.
Went for a short walk to finish the series... All found with excellent co-ords.
No grey aliens seen today, for a quick find.

Out for a day of southern caching.
The weather got worse the further we went south.
A pleasant walk around this area. Only problem we had was getting across the river.
