This is the old RBC Station 1 turned into a learning center. The location is on HWY 77 in Rainbow City, Alabama

This retired firehouse is located on the campus of Stanford University. They were working on remodeling it into something else while I was there. I am not sure how long it hasn't been a firehouse. Thanks for the cache.

This is the old firestation in Exmouth, Southwest UK. Situated on Church Road, the station has now moved to a new complex about 2 miles out of town and has amalgamated with the ambulance service.
The old station was recently purchased by Wilsons Paints who now operate their business from there.

This was the firehouse for the city of Wickliffe, Ohio from 1968 until they moved to a much larger and more modern firehouse on Euclid Avenue in 1996. This building on Lakeland Boulevard is now the home of a Limousine and bus company. (My GPS pic didn't come out, so I'll take another and upload later)

Hard to believe but this King's Restaurant was attached to the front of the old fire station. The front bays were closed off and apparently used as inventory storage. I will try to find a photo of the original station and attach at a later date. The restaurant is located on Leechburg Road in the City of New Kensington, PA. The New Kensington City Hall and Police Station also used to be in the same original part of the building. The Kings building was added onto what was the front of the firehall where the original truck bays were located. Thanks for a neat cache.

We found an old firehouse in the heart of the historic city of Fairfax, VA. It has been converted into a restaurant and is a local favorite of George Mason University students and the locals. It is located at: 3988 University Drive, Old Town Fairfax, VA.

FireHouse #1 Newport RI. Here is an old one for ya. Now being used as office space....years ago, I worked on some cars being stored in the lower level...

This converted firehouse is on Boonton Ave in Boonton, NJ. It was built in the 1800s (see antique postcard of it included with my pictres). It is now a pool supply store and I guess there are apartments upstairs, but I can't be sure.

This old fire house is in Newport R.I. and has been a pizza place for a long time. Fire house pizza can be found on lower Tames st. and was NFD hose co. #6 before that.

This fire house became a restaurant a long time ago. It was called the Hose Co. #5, then the Peppermill, and now it is called the Hose Co. #6. Located on Central Ave, Pawtucket, RI.

This is the Spritzenhaus, the old Firehouse, of Rebstein in Switzerland. Today the house is used as a local museum.

This was the old Fire Station in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England. Sadly, it's now a seedy sort of night club called 'The Place'.
I apologise for the poor quality of the photos but they were taken with the camera in my cell phone.

This old firehall is located on Tawapit Drive, Wasagaming, Manitoba, Canada within Riding Mountain National Park. It was active up until the early 1990's and was used for storage and meetings after that. Just this spring it was converted into a First Nations Sharing Lodge, with activities and artifacts that share the culture of people who have lived in the area for many generations.

When the hall was active they had an old limey yellow pumper that was a find and grind standard with air brakes. Most of the fire fighters were park wardens. Structural fire fighting service is now contracted out to another nearby local community.

This is an old firehouse built in 1896 that serviced the harbor area and downtown of Kenosha Wi. It was converted into someone's private residence

This old fire station is located near Hog's Back Falls in Ottawa's south end. It was built in the 1950's and converted to a youth centre in the 80's when the station relocated about 1km further east. Recently it has also become home to a 50+ group.

Found this old firehouse located in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. This one is now the home for a youth center appropriateley named "La caserne" which means firehouse in french.

This fire house on Main Street of Oneonta, NY has been changed over to Otsego County offices. Fire truck section used to be where the five large windows and sign to building are now.

I have to be honest, this former firehouse is right outside my living room window! HA!

This old firehouse is located in Arcade New York, and is now used as the Town Clerk's Office, and a teen center upstairs during the evenings and weekends.

This is another old fire station in our town which was turned into our water department shop. Like I said before the day was cold and windy. I did both of these on the same day.

The original City of Beloit fire station #2, located at the intersection of Henry and Shopiere in the city of Beloit Wisconsin, was sold and converted to a personal residence when the city combined station 2 and 4 into new quarters. The front view shows the that the original overhead doors to the apparatus floor were removed and a finished wall constructed in their place. The rear view shows that the original employee walk-in entrance is the main entrance to the residence with the rear apparatus floor doors remaining and used as an oversized two-car garage.
Was out on a late fall afternoon chasing down a few geocaches when I encountered an early season snow storm.

This beautiful building was once the Gales Ferry, CT Fire Department. I lived in this town from 1963-1979, and my other half lived there for 16 years. All of his family is still there. The building, located at 1 Allyn Street Gales Ferry, CT is now a private residence. We took several pictures including the required ones. Thanks for this cache! We visited family here today and then just took a little trip down Memory Lane. I can remember back to our high school days when the streets around here would be blocked off on Friday nights during the summer for block dances! Also, located right down the street is the Yale crew boat house, where the team practices for the Yale/Harvard Regatta each year held on the Thames River.

This is the old Firehouse of Mjölby, Östergötland, Sweden. It´s now used as a garage and storehouse for a company dealing with house maintenance.

It is located at "Am Hof 7" in the first district of Vienna, Austria. There is no Entrance fee (what a surprise!) but it is only open on Sundays and holidays from 9 to 12 AM. So I tried to sneak some photos through the windows.

Surfing for Information about the duties of our Fire-fighters I came across the following (considering that in Austria those kind of animals are only to be seen in the zoo!): "Im Juli 2001 muss aus dem Donaukanal ein ausgesetzter kleiner Alligator gefangen werden" (Translates: in July a small Alligator had to be rescued from the Danube canal where someone had set him loose.)

The GPS reception was bad and did not find enough satelites, I will give the correct coordinates I calculated by my map.

Bobcaygeon ON Canada Found this old firehall at the Kawartha Settlers Village. It was the original firehouse for the Village of Bobcaygeon, built in the mid-1800's. Nowadays, the firehall is part of the local settler's museum and houses memorabilia and history of firefighting in the past. During special/family events the firehouse is utilized for children's programs - pumpkin carving, crafts, making or purchasing of Christmas gifts for family, etc.

The firehouse only 150meters from my home.

This Fire House-Turned-Restaurant is on Rte. 102 in Derry, NH We came upon it while driving to a Geocaching Event.

This was a former Ladder Truck Quarters in historic Charles Town, WV. It's located on N. George Street and is now home to the Charles Town Visitor Center and it is quite nice inside. Photo of GPSr is attached! TFTC!

Found in Dorval, QC, Canada. Was builded in 1945. Has a nice watchtower. Now, this building is used by some architect's offices.

This is the town of Riverview, N.B., Canada's old firehouse on Coverdale Rd. Our town library hopes to buy it and renovate it, and convert it to a community library.

The Orlando Fire Museum is housed in Firehouse #3, which was built in 1926. It hosst guided tours to showcase artifacts from the department’s 120-year history of service. The Museum is a member of the Fire Museum network.

Hello - Visited Historic Burlington New jersey. About 20 minute between Camden and Trenton. This town is just filled with old and vintage places and things. As we walked back to the car from getting another locationless cache I spied the #3 on the spire of this building located in the middle of the block. Upon further investigation I discovered that the building was once the Burlington Firehouse # 3 but since retired. It now holds the Burlington Police and Fire museum plus the headquarters from the Young America organization a non profit organization for under privelged youths.

This Firehouse is no more used by the fire brigade. It's used by private People now. They live in the second floor and the ground is used as a garage.

This building use to be the original firehouse for my town (San Antonio, FL) in the late 18oo's. The building has since been converted to the towns city hall. A new firehouse has been built right next door to this building. The original door for the fire truck is right where the city hall sign is located now.

OLD CITY OF RENO FIRE STATION 2

I am a Battalion Chief with the City of Reno Fire Department and this station was my first assignment back in 1984. The station was built in the late 40s by the Mayor who at the time owned the local cement company. All the walls are at least two feet thick and most of the structure is considered a civil defense fall out shelter. The building operated as a fire house until the late 1980s. It then spent a few years as the department’s fleet maintenance, supplies, and training division facility. The building did not make a good maintenance facility. Also in the late 1980s the present Fire Chief, in a strange act of trying to save some modern art from the junk pile, had a VW Bug art placed on the roof of the building (see photos). Most of the Fire Department was totally against this move. However, the bug has become a novelty art item for the City and is know internationally. In the mid 1990s the Fire Department was moved out and the City converted the facility to its present use as an assistance and homeless shelter operated by the Reno Sparks Gospel Mission. The present up-graded creature comforts of HVAC systems, sleeping dorms, beds, and plumbing are now far better than they every where when used as a firehouse; Funny how things work out.

First fire Hall in Warren Michigan, when it was the Village of Warren. On Beebee St. Now sits the Public Administration Of the Warren Libraries, and the friends of Warren Libraries.

This was a fire station when I first moved to Gastonia NC in 1977. It is now the County Radio Maintenance Facility. It's on 2nd Street in downtown Gastonia.

This old fire station is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Its old fire station of 13,000 pi2 shelters a workshop of puffed up glass and casting including a furnace of continuous glass in fusion of a capacity of 1000 pounds; four glory hole and seven furnaces of annealing.

The original firehouse in Naples, NY is now a local history museum. It just finished a major renovation and is now open to the public.

One of several old stations in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that has been transformed. The ladder truck and pump at the new station would never have fit through the narrow doors and would be too long for the old building. Long gone are the days of horse and buggy fire response. This old station is now a youth center and recreation center.

This firehouse is situated at the gaslaan in Maarssen, Holland. It is now a storigroom and the plans are to make it to an appartment house but the lockal counsil has not yet approved. I have also a picture of the new firehouse, it is a few bloks away from the old one.my dauhter is standing in front of the firehouse withh our maridean.

(502) Located in Montréal, this old firehouse has been used as (beleive it or not) a firehouse in a TV show named "Caserne 24". BTW, "Caseren" means Firehouse.
The building is now converted in a theatre named "L'usine C".

The old Union #1 Firehouse serving Lambertville, NJ -- a small town on the Delaware river right across from New Hope, PA. This old firehouse was the original firehouse for this community built back in 1884. It is now a boutique shop just off the central thoroughfare on Church St., near the corner of Church and Main.

This is a old fire house in my town of Peekskill N.Y and since I am a fire fighter here I thought it would be nice to show you this piece of history. This fire house home of Centennial Hose Co. #4 ( Engine 130 ) has been closed for many years. On Water Street that had a little bit of a water problem giving the name Water Street, anytime it rain the street and firehouse would be so flooded that the water would be knee high in the bay, (where the truck is parked). But recently I the fire house is going to be moved do to the bridge above needs to be replaced. This fire house is going to become a museam. Thanks for the cache.

Found this at the SAndy Hook Lighthouse during the NJ Lighthouse challenge with angryEMT. They use this lighthouse as an 'office' for things. WE finished up the challenge here at 5:06pm! What a way to end the challenge...to finally complete the whole course AND to grab a cache in the end.......can't beat it!

This is firehouse of Lilleküla, in Tallinn, Estonia. The building has a smaller tower too, so it's quite unique in that area. Place marked on the 15.10.2005. at 14:07.

This old fire station (when I came to Green River,Wyoming,1978) was the only one in town.Located on N.1st W. After the new station was built, this was turned into a car detailing shop for a few years. Now, as you can see its for meat processing (cutting up deer, elk, etc.).

This is the second firehouse built in the town of North Manchester, Indiana USA. It was replaced in 2000 with a new facility. This building is now used as a Youth Center, hosting dances and after school activities.

The Old Fire House is the longest-running all-ages music venue in the greater Seattle area. According to the Teen Center's website: "The Old Fire House Teen Center is located right in the heart of downtown Redmond, and is THE place for youth aged 13-19 to hang out, skate, take art classes, develop pictures, play pool, see live bands, go on field trips, and much more." The photos I took are from the outside of the retired fire house. I also found a photo of one of the bands playing inside.

This retired firehouse has been converted into a bicycle shop. The Pace Bicycle Haven is on 1215 W Elm St. in Independence, Mo. It is nice that they can make use of these old buildings.

This is not far from my house in SE Portland. I believe this is now an auto mechanics shop. I have seen people working on cars in there recently. I like the fact that they have left all the fire station signs on the building.

I found this converted firehouse right next door to the replacement and more modern structure. These are located in Ballardsville. Images show the old, the new, and both side-by-side. The old structure was converted to office space.

This old fire house is located near the RR tracks behind 7 Main Street in Ramsey, NJ. It is now being used by a cabinet maker.

I was surpised that this location hadn't been bagged already. It is the old fire station in Waterloo, London which is now a bar. Been there a few times but had to return with the GPSr. Thanks.

The building is form 1746 and has been used for many different needs. It has been a prison, a army prison, headquarters for the police and for the fire brigade 1823-1895.

This is the old Valley Fire Station located on the corner of W Seneca Tpk & Midland Ave in Syracuse, NY. It was converted into the Bob Cecile Community Center used mostly by senior citizens. It is active by the number of cars shown in the photos at 4PM on a rainy Monday afternoon. In the photos the old barn is in the foreground with the new barn in the background.

This is the Old Ballarat Fire Station in Victoria, Australia.
Located on Historic Sturt Street, it was converted to an Antique Store, when the Fire Brigade moved up the street. As you can see in the picture, it is now for sale. Any Takers?

This Fire Station is now a Science Station. It is located in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
It has been converted to a place for visitors to learn about science with lots of hands-on fun. My grandsons just love to go there.
The building on the right is also part of the Science Station, and they've added an IMAX theatre on the left.

This Firehouse built circa 1897 now houses The Elmira Heights Historical Society Museum. It is a beautiful building located on 14th Street in Elmira Heights, NY.

The only sign now of it being a fire station is what is left of the red bi-fold doors and the concerete slab to be able to drive the fire trucks in.
