Quick stop on the way back into Emerald. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on our way north for warmer weather. From Victoria to Cooktown, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
Quick find. Grass not too bad. Been in worse around Emerald. Must have been a good year for farming not so good for snake awareness geocachers. Tyftc

This was the next one on the list. Quickly found once at GZ. Signed as F65 and A33 as required. Replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks to all the COs who put out these caches !!

On the hunting trail with SeasonedBird while on a slow roundabout route to QOGM 2023 at Longreach. A quick find here. Spent a few minutes to try out the damp log, all OK. A couple of caching days planned in and around Emerald to clear out the remainder of caches that we’ve been tackling over the last few years visits. It’s a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

It'd been a long time since my last cache find so I decided to stop here for a look. Once at GZ, I was soon signing the dampish log at 16:30. Maybe some TLC is in order for this one.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Wag00.

Stopped here and had a good look around.. It's ethere a great hide or it's missing.
A trip to Perth checking out some of the awesome places along the way in ACT, NSW, Qld and NT. Grabbing some old caches and missing LGAs. TFTC.
Outside container was full of water. Inside bison kept the log reasonably dry.

Found heading into Emerald after a long drive from Miles, quite showery today but log ok. Thanks Wag00.
Had to basically trip over that one. Container is buggered, totally wet inside. we tipped everything into the bin and replaced the log plus a hopefully dryer case.

Day 5 of a road trip to Townsville to with LuckyL10n and today it was all about finishing off this Emerald series.
After completing the jigsaw series we continued around town grabbing a few other caches. A couple of DNF's in that lot, however this one was found ok and the cache in good condition. A few differnt locations visited, but it was certainly good to get back to the camp ground and sit in the shade for a while.
Many thanks to all the CO's. Most logs were signed SdL / L Lion.

#13699 - 1:06:00 PM; Day five of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune and after spending the first of two nights in Emerald, we set out to collect the remainder of the local geoart, which we managed with just the one DNF. Then it was time to collect what we could of the remaining caches in and around the town, including this one. Quickly spotted once we got to GZ. TFTC Wag00
After visiting the dam, I was headed back to Emerald and made a slight detour to this cache. A quick find was made and the log signed. TFTC
Grass is too long for caching atm... especially because it's perfect snake weather... maybe next time...
Swearah made the grab here, a nice easy find. Cool tree on the other side of the road! TFTC!

Drove straight past this one so had to do a Uie to come back and find it. Straight forward find in a logical spot.
A walk around the botanical gardens was on the agenda today and then a trip down to the lake to maybe have a picnic.
The botanical gardens are quite impressive with their pathways, sculptures and play areas. It was being well utilised.
The lake was very low on water, it grass has sprouted on what would have been dirt or muddy banks so it is still quite picturesque. We had a great picnic at a high place on the point before doing the caches and checking out the wall. Even had seagulls serenade us as we ate.
Thanks once again to local cachers for their work in creating and maintaining caches for us to find.

A long road trip to Emerald from Brisbane for 2 little turmoils, but they did really well. We were here for the geoart and anything else that we found along the way from Brisbane to Gladstone to Emerald, to Chinchilla and home. This was day 7 of lengthy days caching and driving. This cache was found on our trip from Emerald to Roma.
Day 7 of 8 (Emerald to Taroom) of a Queenslander road trip with Kestal, clocking just over 4000km, to tick off boxes for different challenges. Ha…it certainly is all in the name with this one. A straightforward find. TFTC Wag00

Day eleven of my outback Queensland trip and the plan today is to complete all the caches in Emerald and then head to Springsure for the night. Continuing with my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day will be easy today. My main aim is to complete the cotton bud geoart which should be fun and collect a few more for the day. I do have a list of caches that I do want to collect along the way and probably some extras as I see fit.
I am enjoying the time, the caching and the adventures that comes with that. These caches were easy finds and I saw some familiar name in the logs, was I following? All caches were easy finds and in good condition. With the log signed and cache returned as found, it was onto the next one. Thank you for placing it here, I really enjoyed the drive around this area today.

Tuesday. Coming out from Emerald, we found a safe spot to turn around and park near the hide. A quick search revealed the cache. No helicopters, but it was late in the day and maybe they had all gone back to their hangers!
This was the 98th of 104 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Wag00*** for showing us this place
