After a long afternoon out caching with TC97 we decided to do just one more..... a bit of a walk but hey, surely this would be quick and easy. Ha! We found it. Key....what key? Eventually we got to the log. By then it was dark and we got eaten alive by the mozzies. Was it worth it? Definitely! A favourite point from me. Thanks for a great cache!
Happiness and fun turned into frustration as we couldn’t find out how to get the log book. And after about 30 mins trying every possible combination we finally got it. It’s now 8:15pm and dark and we’re starving for dinner. great cache

We came down to Sale for the weekend to visit the Archibald Prize 2021 at the Gippsland Art Gallery. Grabbed this cache on our way back to Melbourne. TFTC. Favourite point awarded
I just LOVED this cache! Thank you so much for the thought and effort you’ve put into this.
Geocaching with the geokid and geobae today, this was our favourite cache so far, we had a fantastic time trying to solve the puzzles to work out how to open the geocache, geokid was amazed by all the swag but we didn't have anything to swap tftc.
After a short walk we discovered a surprisingly large item.
What followed, was a lengthy process which eventually resulted with the log in hand.
Thanks Bigrobv for all of the work that you have put into this one.
A definite favourite for us.
Chiefton!!!

Really enjoyed unlocking this one! Done with cachemeousside87 on the way home to Melbourne. Great lil detour and beaut day for a walk. A fav from me, TFTC
YAY - I didn't forget my key today . First impressions - woo hoo - a very large cache - this won't take long BUT it took much longer than first anticipated. My heart sank when I opened the lid and saw the task ahead of me. MMMM - my geo puzzle solving brain took forever to kick in and I fluffed around for awhile. AAAHHH - there's away to solve this quickly - why didn't I think of it earlier. Within minutes the key was uncovered, the lock was opened and the log was signed. Thanks Bigrobv for setting up this one, it certainly provided much frustration, fun and puzzle solving satisfaction. Fav point from me.
PS: The Troll Dolls (TN6TR0) were with me on my great caching adventure today.

It's not quite what I expected. First a baby huntsman jumped out, few skipped heartbeats later, I figured what I gotta do. Thanks
Well, who doesn't love a large cache, a gadget cache or one that has had real effort to set it up?
On our way home from a short break in East Gippsland and Malipara was searching for cool caches to find. This one caught our eye and dragged us off our route. After a short stretch of oyr legs we came upon the goal. What a gem, I love a creative effort. Solved pretty quickly, but worthy of a fp. Thanks BigRob.

Absolutely loved it, found this with my Son buffalo brigzie a while ago. Very deserving of a favourite. TFTC
The Sun had come out and living in Baw Baw shire we were not locked down so I decided to head out for a day out of the house and a nice walk along the TCT trail, Gippsland has some great locations to visit and lots of caches that have not been found in awhile, so with my new caching gear gloves, sanitizer and mask I ventured out, I had a great time touring around the area finding caches and exploring new places. Last cache for the day and what a great way to end a days caching, have seen several versions of this over the years but have never seen the second lock type before. This one get a Fav from Me.
Thanks Bigrobv for the cache.

This is the first one like this that i have done, great sleuthing done by geo kiddos. This one gets a favourite mark. Tftc
Amazing cache absolutely love it.
Going to come back here soon when I’m going to put a trackable in it.
Found with Mango Mermaid and Brigstar.
This shall be my first favourite

What a fun cache! With so many favourite points, this had been on our list to do. We had a nice wander in along the dirt track and located the cache easily. There are some lovely logs to sit on whilst pondering how to open. Lucky for us, our second key choice was correct and we soon had the next bit unlocked also. Thanks for placing this fun cache, definitely worthy of a favourite point!
I was out today with gwd.aussie and d@geo to concentrate on finding Robot Charli caches but we found this one too on the way home. Sorry for the late log. Thanks Bigrobv for the cache.
Found with gwd.aussie and Sharon14 while out and about caching this Melbourne Cup day. Walking the track to the gz we passed a sunbaking turtle in the middle of the track and horses in the neighbouring paddocks. At gz I thought we would have to settle in but thankfully it did not take too long before we had the cache opened and log signed. Due to the favorites this cache was one I was hoping to grab today and it did not disappoint - another favorite from me.
Thanks Bigrobv
Thanks Bigrobv
On the way to ground zero, we found a long neck. (see photo)
Once the cache container was open, we found the cap was not on the log container correctly,
which made it easier for us.
We sign the log, Found the code for the lock, it is now correctly on.
A day out caching With Sharon14 and D@geo
Thank you for the Field puzzle and hide Bigrobv

This ome was fantastic! Drove down as far down the path as we could before puddles put us on foot. Trekked into the scrub and found the box. Took us about 10 minutes tp solve the puzzle and sign the log. Awesome hide!
The track was happily unlocked today, so I drove close to the cache site and made a quick find. I only had to work my way through half of the keys. Cache found in good condition. Tftc
Found today! Really enjoyed this cache, a bit of a hunt in itself! Was challenging until I realised what the hint was referring to! Very clever cache!!
A chance for a walk with my boys in the sunshine and the promise of a 'large' cache, saw us all eagerly making our way along the 800m-odd journey post-haste. The cache was indeed large, and easily spotted from the track. A couple of cheeky surprises proved fun challenges for the eldest geo-kid. Two items taken, and two replaced. We left with two very happy boys skipping back to the car. Awesome cache, thankyou.
After waiting for my car to be serviced, i just had to go see where this cache was located and find the reason why it had so many favourites. After finding a suitable area to park the car and a bit of a walk, the cache was an easy find and all was revealed, Step 1, tick, step 2 Hmmmm, a bit of choice here but soon had what I needed. Step 3. I hadn't seen one like this before but soon had the log in my hand and signed. Overall a most enjoyable find and certainly worth a favourite from me Thanks Bigrobv for something a little different to the norm and the fun involved.
This one was quite a frustrating task as the heat is now up to 38deg. Most unpleasant! Given it a fav point. Finally got in and signed the log and dropped a couple of tbs that need to move on. Thanks for the cache which is very clever
Maintenance performed, thanks to those that brought it to my attention. I'll endeavour to keep an eye on it
A cacher has been kind enough to report some maintenance requirements. I will endeavour to check it out and have it back up in a couple of days.

Today Fleabag- wanted to head over 120km from home for this event and grab a few large and "?" size caches he was looking building up for a challenge we are working on so I came along.
This was the hardest cache of the day. Spent a while finally got to stage one and thought ... thank god ... only to find stage 2 which we also fluked open.
Thanks Bigrobv for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I am targeting cache sizes other than small and micro for a challenge and today I had a few marked pkus an event. As he often is my geobuddy was keen to accompany me for the trip and we brought out littlest geokids each for extra eyes to search. Well this one was an epic. Fluked the first part and then oh no on the second. Tried many things but then finally a random set of digits did the trick. Wow. A good 15min easy. Fav given. Maintenance needed. Thanks to Bigrobv for the placement and fun.
Hi there Bigrobv.
We are leaving the Latrobe Valley tomorrow, so our caching run today concentrated on trading as many travel bugs as we could. We managed to log 8, which we will distribute somewhere in SA or WA.
All up we found 5 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander our way around Australia. We awarded this cache a favourite point for the novelty value. Thanks also for not placing a mint tin or a 200ml Sistema here. It made us feel really good to find this "special" cache here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley.
**Grabbed Trackable:** "Penelope The Giant Panda" & "Rascal The Rabbit".
**Dropped Trackable:** "The Flamingo".
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Such a cool cache! Thanks for the excellent idea, placement, and execution. Really close to where we are staying, and with so many favourite points, it didn’t disappoint. Here’s another well-deserved fave point to add to the tally. So many beautiful golden butterflies right along the track too - lovely. TFTC
This was definitely not one for casual players A kilometre and a halfreturn trip from the trailhead, and then an oversized puzzle for the cache? MADNESS but this gets a favourite for the effort involved. I even had a turn at logging the trackables inside (but someone who goes further than I do can take them on a trip). TFTC big time, now I have to get back to the car!
Today was the third time of our Xmas holidays that we have made the drive down from Melbourne to Gippsland.
Today the plan was to drive down as far as Bairnsdale so that we could tick of a few more LGAs for a challenge (to get all of the local government areas in Victoria).
But it was raining the whole way down virtually! We looked at the radar and figured that after lunch it would fine up and we could get some caching done!
The afternoon did dry up thankfully.
We did this on our way home, after a Maccas visit in Traralgon.
This one has been on our radar for a while as we have been trying to find LARGE caches.
Wow! This one ticked so many boxes! Little Miss has been going on about a certain type of container every time we go caching - everywhere we go she keeps asking if it is going to be that type of container...well lets just say she was pleased x 3!
A few surprises involved ( ) and we were quite relieved when we finally got to sign the log!
These types of fantastically imaginative and challenging caches really make the hobby so much fun!
Definitely a favourite from us - but we will have to owe you , as we need to do a few more caches before we can pay up. [2/1/19 - we have now paid up!]
We will have to check out your other caches next time we are down these parts. Keep up the good work Bigrobv..
(signed log at 8:13pm and still a two hour drive to get home.. the things we do for our hobby)

Our absolute favourite cache so far. Simple and fun with a little bit of thinking. Heaps of room for swaps but unfortunately we didn’t bring anything.
Seems like the wrong place to be walking but worth it.

Travelling to Sale for work, and picked a few high fav points caches to grab on the way. This one looked really interesting. After the walk to GZ the game started. I was confused for a while, but soon had a spark of logic and the cache was soon opened and signed. A great cache and well worth the fav point coming it's way! TFTC.
Great Geocache! Left 3 trackables, a carabiner compass, a paracord bracelet, a littlest pet shop toy and took a smiley face badge. Excellent cache, love it!! TFTC!!
This was to be my final cache as I headed out of town westward. After finding a suitable parking spot, I set for the stroll to GZ and quickly happened across the container. Without giving the game away, everything worked and I was able to add my name to the log. With a sense of relief that was! With everything reset for the next lucky finder it was time for the walk back, and then heading off.
Thanks to Bigrobv for placing this interesting cache.

A dismal day to be out and about caching, but the things you do for a few souvenirs for the Planetry Pursuit. Doing it the hard way by chasing mainly traditionals, but location predicts the caches we have available.
A day spent between Traralgon and Moe with a couple of finds in Morwell included. The rain kept us on our toes as we moved from cache to cache.
Thanks to the respective CO's for the placements on the caches we found today.
A favourite given here.

After a Significant Family Event, we are driving back to the parent-out-laws to stay the weekend. Its a mini-convoy - with me and the Reluctant Geospouse with the two GeoHounds leading and my two sisters O-L and a brother O-L following behind. The family were very pleased that my geocaching brought them to this clever cache.
The RGS found the container, the sisters and I solved the first puzzle, and after briefly being distracted by an item (probably a swap) the SOLs solved the second. A very satisfying find. And the GeoHounds enjoyed the stroll too.
I really enjoyed reading the previous logs for this one very entertaining.
Thanks for the cache, Bigrobv nice one

Also a few tricky hides and a few evil ones. [:(!]

Today was our second day out caching with our good friend Roostaman in the Traralgon area.
This gave us the opportunity to chase up a range of the newer caches in the area that we have not made the opportunity to look for during our time home and finalise some puzzles we have solved but not followed up on by finding the actual cache.
We began the day by looking for a rock in a hard place and then had a short discussion as to whether we should walk to this one or go back to the car and look for a parking place close. I won that discussion, but was soon proved to be incorrect and had to listen to 800metres of growing and complaining about how we could have driven right to the cache and then a further 800metres on the return walk. Apparently Roosta has found 18,000+ drive-bys or made them into drive-bys!
Anyway, back to the cache.
We arrived at GZ and soon spotted the container but on closer inspection took a seat and prepared for the challenge ahead.
We soon using some clever logic, mine not Roosta's, made the task a bit easier than it could have been and had the log in hand. Almost!
It was then we discovered that Roosta could actually read, and we were soon signing the log!
A great cache well thought out and well executed.
A favourite from us.

Travelling down to Gippsland for work and an a little early so I have time to continue my annual rounds of "Geocache of the Year" nominated caches and some worthy choices there are! Also picking up a few other local ones on the way.
Walking down the track wondering where it would take me and this was nothing like what I was thinking. Considering the problem I narrowed down the possibilities and reduced the workload to a manageable level and soon had the first obstacle solved and the second just fell into place.
Great hide and good luck with the nomination.

Out in the area finding caches that are nominated for the awards. Although the walk to gz isnt that long today was mid 30 degrees with loads of flies, with thr snake radar set to high we headed off. Arriving at gz we worked through stage 1 and thought that was too easy... after some brain storming with geowife i finally worked it out.
Clever cache, fav point from us and certainly worthy of a nomination.

When I arrived at the gate I turned the car around and parked. and proceeded to walk to GZ. As I approached the gate, I said to myself, why not make this one a P&G so I did.
(No railway line was crossed.)
Found the large cache, opened it up, hmmmmm, I soon found the tool to move on...
Oooh another stumbling block......
I very quickly figured that one and the logbook was soon signed.
All in all it, took me about 10 mins to get to the cache, find it, sign the log and depart.
Deserves a FP for the great effort put in to create this cache.

Tftc. Devilish set of obstacles to overcome but got there. Used to run by here many mornings on the way out to the pines. These were burnt down one year in a ferocious summer blaze and then stopped going when the farmer grazef his sheep (not good to have me hound running after them).
Great conditions for geocaching after a very hot one yesterday.
We loved the walk to the cache followed by a great puzzle and excellent cache container. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and consider the cache very worthy of our fav point.

Just when I was contemplating how I could spend my evening a msg came thru from mummy short legs who was desperately in need of an escape route from a manic household. How about a nice stroll by the railway? Bonus: getting to find my last unfound cache in traralgon at the moment. Perfect! So once the kids were tucked into bed... and walked back to bed and tucked in again... and taken to the toilet and tucked in again... then left with geodad to be tucked in yet again, I picked up the vertically challenged arachnid and headed over this way. It was the prefect cool evening for a wander in the longer grass give the potential for slithery friends and we thoroughly enjoyed a good yabber on the way. Once at gz the task was pretty clear so we started the process of elimination before I stared to apply done logic and bingo! Only to discover another puzzle! Quickly sorted that out too and signed the log. All replaced, one train zoomed past with possibly lucky glimpses of our crouched behinds. Happy faces for the well designed cache! Thanks for the cache!!
I'd had one of those days where you need to escape the house before you find yourself arrested for mass murder, arson and many other crimes committed in a maniacal moment. Note that sleep deprivation and a toddler who cries at oxygen can do that to one. I chose to eat half a block of chocolate, consume three coffees and ask Kato Potato if she would drive me to a nearby cache because I'd also imbibed therapeutic wine. She obliged and thankfully allowed me to vent my murderous intentions en route so that when I returned, I wouldn't actually kill the people I love the most.
As I'd already been to the parking waypoint, I provided a little direction and thus felt somewhat useful to Kato. We caught up on our weekend happenings on the walk to gz, followed the geotrail in and Kato spotted the nice big box. I was trying to turn it over to look for a code when Kato said "it's unlocked". Yep. In we go, problem solving brains in gear, and Kato was the lucky one. Next problem was my turn. I dropped in two TBs, both from the Alexandra Mega and one of which is my own, and happily added our names to the log. A favourite point of course; thanks for the effort into making a great local cache.

BEST CACHE I'VE EVER DONE! We thought it was an easy 'find and log' situation but we were pleasantly surprised. Having a thunderstorm approach and hit during the process made it that much more exciting! Found with emilyd5
BEST GEOCACHE EVER!
Not knowing what to expect down a 800m+ walk down a 4wd road, saw us climb through the fence and find the most obvious geocache, however easy it was not. Love the amount of effort that was put into this cache, provided many laughs and as the thunder rumbled right above us the challenged was to be completed quickly! 83rd key and YES it fits!! Sign the log, quick before the rain comes "it has a code!!!!" A quick find of the code, signed and placed back and off we ran back up the trial to the car to beat the rain falling.

While heading for home travelling down the highway i stopped at a few caches along the way, this was one of them.
I spotted this one on the map and notice that it is a large so I just had to go for a look.
I stopped at the parking waypoint and noticed that the gate could be opened but I decided to play it safe and walked to GZ from there.
I was a nice stroll and I was soon at GZ where the cache was certainly easy to find as you can see it from some distance away but upon opening it you discover that the fun as only just began.
I sorted through the pile and one of them caught my eye, it just happened to be the correct one and I was in so I thought, but what there was more but that was soon over come and this time I had finally reached the logbook, it was signed and everything replaced as it should be.
**Thanks to Bigrobv for placing this cache.**

So sorry, Was down this way over the weekend (3.2019) and it was pointed out that we had found this but for some reason, I forgot to log it. Thankfully, others have named me in their logs so that I could find the right date.
Loved this one although that isn't what I thought when it was opened. A favourite from me.

After running around tgon trying to a waterproof jacket we decided we needed to find some caches to lift our disappointment upon arriving at our parking spot our adventure had already started when we found someones deb photos on the group with those under arm we continued down the track turned into a lovely walk on a lovely day finally we arrived some what 20 meters from gz and pff we set soon landing eyes on the prize and what i prize it was. Therea thay great feeling of opening a cache to see your mond being challenged and the search began soon we had what we were looking for or did we another challenge perfect it took us a little bit then it finally clicked as we all said it at the same time soon enough the log book was in hand signed and replaced along with a smile and a favourite point from us. Well done we really enjoyed this cache one to recommend to everyone in my eyes. Tftc

Woohoo! My second FTF and oh how I wanted this one.
I was planning to get ready for an appointment and then head to work when I was alerted to this new cache being published. I really did not have the time for any caching this morning and so had accepted missing out on another FTF.....but no, I really wanted this one! Instead, I decided to race out the door completely dishevilled and risk getting there and having it already been found. The weather was awful and so I thought that may work in my favour. When I approached the parking area there was another car which I initially thought might have been my competition, but they proved to be muggled. Once I arrived at the parking area I was confident that I was the only one hunting for this cache right now A lovely walk was taken along a track I never knew existed. The horses in the neighbouring paddock seemed curious at my presence. Approaching GZ I startled a big kangaroo who hopped off quickly and allowed me to search (though it's not a terribly hard cache to find!). I really liked the effort needed to get into the log of this cache. It has the possibility to be frustrating and after having run out the door and being worried about time certainly had the ability to trip me up! Thankfully I was able to get in after a bit of a think and I swapped a couple of items and added another for good measure.
Thank you very much for the cache and the adventure Bigrobv, I had a blast and have added a favourite point
