Today was doing the coastal tour to Troubridge Point Lighthouse, before making the long trip home. Picked up caches regularly, as well as finishing the Investigator Straight Shipwreck Trail adventure lab. Very enjoyable day with some fantastic views. TFTC
Raining, but no enough to stop us just yet.Forecast says rain all day on the Peninsula. We had decided to finish the Watertower AL today. So we braved the wet , packed the car and ventured on.
Yorke Peninsula road trip, day 6, Coobowie to home.Quick stop on the way up the peninsula.TFTC
Out and about today, grabbing some caches around Minlaton and Stansbury. quickly located after a brief walk around TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 11:00. Our last day on the Yorke, after three days with a Victorian group doing Geoart caches. On our own today, so we decided to finish off the Ad Labs and pick up some other caches along the way, before returning to the Ardrossan CP. Say hi to CPwanderer for us. Haven't seen him since the Murray Bridge Mega. Not so happy with the weather today after lovely days earlier in the week. Our thanks to earthlight.
Making my way to the top of the trail to finish. Just having an easy day caching.
A Chance for a Monday Meander.
Ttrogg and Brisal5 picked up A SA sewer Rat, from the Rat's nest.
Then we headed over to the Yorkes.

I got an offer I couldn't refuse from Ttrogg. He wanted to be the oldest cacher to do a certain free dive cache over on YP but wanted a few rescuers on hand in case of trouble. I also had face masks and he borrowed a weight belt from Freddo. S.A. Sewer Rats made up the last piece of the crew. Low tide was not until the afternoon so we were able to stop and find a few caches on the way to the target cache. Once the target cache was done Ttrogg's love of FTFs kicked in and it was a quick tour of 'The Foot' to grabs some FTFs as well. Hoot man. [8)]
I took a seat but the GPS pointed elsewhere. The others went there and found a cache.
***Thanks earthlight for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Another Monday Meander, and again it was over to the Yorke Peninsula. Headed up to the Rat's nest with a Starfish and then we all went west with a very special cache in mind. But of course there were others that would need to be found as well. All caches that were found, bar one, were caches that none of us had found. An enjoyable and successful day was had, and to add icing to the cake, three FTFs were achieved.
Thanks earthlight for putting out this cache for us all to find.
Cache #13003 for me.

Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying the small towns, beaches, cliffs, history and ruins we encounter along the way. Thanks for the cache.

The three of us were spending some time on Yorke Peninsula, and today Mr Tardis went out for a caching run south of Port Vincent.
I found the cache after a bit of a search. What I found didn't match the hint, however there are 30+ names in the logbook so it must be he right cache.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache earthlight.

Last cache of the day, as it was starting to get a bit soggy. This one took longer than it should have, but Owl found the cable tie, then the cache shortly thereafter.
Enjoyed a day off with my sister and brother-in-law, who was more interested in crop inspections (that's what farmers do), but he also helped look for smileys - good compromise.
We also enjoyed good food and great views

A quick pull over here today. The cache was easily found and is all in good order
A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

As Co of this cache am suggesting all cachers take precautions and use hand sanitizer and gloves when locating caches due to the corona virus and it's related health issues. Please stay safe everyone

A long weekend with a massive amount of geocache finds in the Yorke Peninsula! The weekend was filled with a loong day of the fishing line power trail, followed by a subsequent day of the geoart at the peninsula bottom. I managed to squeeze in a night scuba dive, and then it was a slow return home finding a few geocaches on the way. An unexpected enjoyable weekend than what I thought it would be, with great company from locals Munja and skuzzybear, and visiting Kiwis mar1sa and the Seagnoid.
The original plan for today was to continue/complete the geoart at the bottom of Yorkes, but I think everyone had had enough with the monotony of getting in/out of cars with little scenery and ongoing repetition, that we decided to take it slowly back up the peninsula. It was an early-ish start from 8:00 hr, as we wanted to beat the crowds back heading home from the long weekend. Geocaches were collected along the main coastal road (or just off it), with a small detour visiting Black Point to collect those caches and having a FTF. I then said goodbye to the team as I drove skuzzybear back to her car in Kadina, and then collected a few strategic oldie caches on the return back to Adelaide. Unfortunately I was waiting in heavy traffic for a duration of 30 min at the dreaded Port Wakefield turn-off due to the time spent in the morning collecting caches, but otherwise, the return drive back went without incident. The weather was kind to us with an enjoyable morning, and then raining (and cleaning!) my car once I had arrived home.
This cache took a few minutes to look for, as we all postulated the container type and hence focused on that (OK, well it was me who suggested what was likely based on the CO's other hides). It did turn out to be slightly different, which mar1sa had found. The container and logbook appeared to be in good shape. Thanks [@earthlight](http://coord.info/PR39X1P) for the placement and subsequent maintenance.

making our way back to the city, grabbing what we are able to on the way, thanks for the placement, greetings from NZ either signed as KAA or mar1sa.
The end of the Kiwis and Aussies trip on the York Peninsula had finally come to an end and rising early we began to make our way back to Adelaide. Like any good caching trip, we slowly cached our way home. Despite the greying weather it was a good drive back home, with traffic not presenting us with too much of a problem. An enjoyable and relaxing way to finish what was a fantastic trip. All logs were signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies).

Stopped by here on the way north. Hint is not accurate any more.
After spending the night in Stansbury after a couple of over-the-top days in the Yorke Peninsula targeting the geoart, Team KAA are heading north - the rush is on! to relieve a cache of its empty logbookness. Thank goodness for cooler weather! That 42 degrees we had earlier was just too much.
Team KAA: Skuzzybear, the Seagnoid, Munja, Mar1sa, David and Kris.

Huge weekend with heaps of finds on the Yorke Peninsula! Loooong day on fishing line followed by geoart, A planned weekend with great company- Munja and Davewazza and Kiwis mar1sa and the Seagnoid.
Tried to complete as much of the geoart as possible, and not under time pressure for as yesterday. WE started later then completed Fishy Tales (FT), Fish, Jellyfish, Sally Starfish, and Sammy Starfish and the straggling caches from the Anchor. We had a great dinner in Yorketown.
Spectacular scenery along the coast great and replacement containers almost finished. A number of sections did need attention so we did what we could to keep the caches viable. most were brittle/cracked with wet logbooks, and animal damage animals. Caches signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies). TYFTC SLTNLN amazing effort

Thought it had to be on the seat in the middle of nowwhere, but not so. Now a sistema that rocks. Thanx
Today we headed south and enjoyed visiting and exploring some of the small towns and seaside communities of the Yorke Peninsula, together with ilook4geo. The sea breeze was much appreciated on yet another hot day. We found a selection of caches to represent the different areas and each one had both names noted on the log.
This was a nice easy find. Thanks go to the CO for placing a cache here.

We found this cache (a sistema container) on the ground, we are not sure if it has been replaced and the hint is no longer current. Great to see that there is loads of seats for CP to take a rest on. SL TFTC

Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). - Had a great day today, in that we didn't do any of the power trails! That was a very nice change! So a nice variety and some very nice locations! Thanks!
On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Quick find. Kutgw
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today the team decided that it was a “tourist day” and we would go have a look around a small part of the peninsula to see what there is. But of course like true geocachers we couldn’t help taking a caching route as we went. We ended up getting a lot more than we expected, but we did have a good time.
A quick straightforward find. The cache is in good condition. Tftc earthlight!!!

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.

After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.
We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !
Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .
After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!
The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!
Thanks for your cache- sorry about the generic log. For the EarthCaches and virtuals look out for an email or two shortly.

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.
We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.
Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.
Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.
As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.
We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.
Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!
Cheers

Found as part of My Annual leave SA adventure, I had a great time touring the Yorke Peninsula and other areas of the state. This was My last day on the Gone Fisin trail, I sure was glad to get it finished and go look around a few towns, I was a bit over looking at wheat and canola. Thanks earthlight (F=12163 H=115) for the cache.
