Find # 16073Down in Melton to hit up some caches and Adventure Labs. But main reason was to go motorbike helmet shopping. After checking out a couple of bike shops in Melton, I headed around town grabbing ad labs. But then decided to head to Keilor to check out a few more bike shops... With shopping done I headed back to my original plan, "cache around Melton", hitting up The Toolern Vale Triangle and the Merry Bush Christmas trails and what ever other caches came up on the GPS. All caches found had no issues. It was great to be on some back tracks and make finds in an area I've had my eye on for some time now.TFTC Benjamin Screamer
Geoturtle37 and I headed off a little early for the pre event for The Great Cache Crawl. We had an errand to run that wasn't far out of the way but wanted to make sure we had plenty of time. GZ was spot on so that made for a nice quick find. Thanks for placing the cache for all to enjoy.
Came upon the obvious suspect for the title of the geocache.Found safe and sound amidst some pretty daisiesTFTC
Out on the road with Mrs Cogs in the PeuGEOt to do a series of caches in the Toolern Vale area. See why you called it the fence survivor.Log was full so replaced it with a new one.TFTC
Good to see it surviving. Thanks Benjamin Screamer and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! | | I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
I was near Sunbury today so I decided to go to Toolern Vale. Nice size cache here and a quick easy park and find. Hopefully this fence post survives for more years to come. TFTC Benjamin Screamer
Found by Mary and David at 13:55. If only that Fence Survivor could talk. What a story it must represent. Our thanks to Benjamin Screamer.
A beautifully weathers post. I wonder how many more years it will remain standing. *The generic bit*We took our new geo-vehicle on an overnight trip and did some caching on the way home. Although the weather was a bit cold and miserable to start with, once the sun cam out it was a pleasant day for a drive. We found a good assortment of caches, completed a few adventure labs and learnt a thing or two along the way. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches.
all this long grass is making our legs itchy and these flus are insane but were still enjoying the finds
Unfortunately the log is looking a little worse for wear. Its currently dry but has been affected by water that dried out soggy paper feel. Was able to sign and place back for the next person to find. That brings up 399! Now time to go home and plan what is to be number 400 TFTC
Team_Riley taking our kids for the first time in years. Our 6yr old sons first geocaching experience.TFTC
Travelled to Melton today for a work function and with little goat asleep in the car after a big day I decided to grab a few caches! I had been meaning to visit this grassland anyway so it was convenient that these were here!Nice easy find, everything is in good order so I signed the log and on to the next!
TFTC - nice easy one for a Sunday afternoon.
Note: Cache has been waterlogged and log book is soggy.

We just got back from overseas yesterday and the countries visited had hardly any caches, so we are well behind in this month's wheel of challenge. So, a huge day of caching: ad labs, trads and of course hunting out those with lots of favourite points. We found safe parking on this road, but boy, cars go fast down here.
A spot of caching with RoamingHowie over this side of town - as long as the rain holds off.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Benjamin Screamer

The weather wasn’t looking great for today, however it appeared there might be a break in the rain during the middle of the day, so OzHockeyChick and I decided to team up and head west away from the weather.
The sun was fading and the temperature dropping further. We decided to whip around and complete this triangle as one of our last adventures for the day. Cache found in good order.
Thanks Benjamin Screamer for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

While staying in Melbourne we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out and about with Echidna44, we arrived at GZ and wondered. Hmmm. We saw one place that fitted the description, but it was not actually a fence, and there was no cache there. We gazed around and spotted the obvious and found the cache.
Out with Boabtree, we had a lovely day caching in the Toolern Vale area.
A simple find using the cache name. Thanks Benjamin Screamer.

Another quick find here, a lovely way to keep my day rolling.
The Trip
I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.
I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.
Champagne caching!

I had headed to Melton today to attend the Intervening Days (Revisited) XIV event but with a bit of time up my sleeve, I decided to go a little bit further North to find a few other caches in the area, this being one of them.
**Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for placing this cache.**

After attending the Intervening Days Event in Melton with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies, BB completed a couple of AdLabs around town, and then we came to look at these triangles.
A nice collection of good sized caches with easy finds.
Thanks, Robmc.

#20675. Aaah Melbourne you have done it again - mind-boggling heat one day and cold the next. We are off to Melton to attend an Event and find a few other caches in the area.
The end of the road for us here as it was blocked off from the big wet. Cache easily found and in good condition.
Thanks Benjamin Screamer

We have arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea, so of course we came over a few days before to do some geocaching first!
woolwood9 and I had a good time and this was a cache we located.
This area had seen a lot of rain, all the grass was wet and some large areas of flooding.

Following on from the event in town today...
*Great to see you there.*
As I turned the corner I noticed water over the road but it was not much more than a puddle by now.
The Geo Prado handled it just fine.
My main concern was that I would need to wade to GZ.
I carry gum boots in the car as part of my TOTT, but they were not needed.
A short walk bought me to this piece of local, rural, history and the cache was soon in hand.
Stamped and returned. All in good order here.
Thanks for this little series Benjamin Screamer.
Now that I have started...
It is time to triangulate.

With significant water over the road when approaching from the west I decided I would leave this for another day TFTC
I knew what I was looking for and sure enough there it was, a nice easy find!
Saw it as we pulled innocent! Nice quick find for us today!

On my way to another series of caches and stopped to collect this survivor. Looks like the local “children” have had a wheelie good time at the intersection. Who knew donuts came in rubber flavour. Guess they won’t be back to clean up the mess or pay for the repairs. Someone should introduce them to geocaching. It’s a lot cheaper than a new set of tyres every weekend. But TFTC
