we were lucky to be in Chania during the weekend so we could visit the market and find the little treasure.

Gut gefunden und TB mitgenommen.

No Marketing but we found a cache on our Tour around this nice town. Good food to. Tftc. Greetings from Norway.

It was a Saturday and the markets were busy. We enjoyed looking at all the fruits and vegetables and remarked about the snails on sale.

We found a gap between stalls to get to the access route and followed the geotrail around to the cache. It was quickly discovered and I removed a travel bug and placed on in but it has been grabbed from mr before I could log it.

I had to remove all the grass seeds from my clothing and socks before I left the area so that i didn't carry them to some other country.

It was not saturday, but the cache was ready for a visit by us. Back home in denmark we had on Google Maps sound the right entrance to the area (from the south), so it was not difficult to come to the cache. It is about 2 meters from the vertical wall, but no problem as long as you know that the wall is there. At GZ the hunt made the find possible, as long as you know what a “pole” is.

Our first cache in Chania Crete, great hint led to a quick find, left TB, SL TFTC.

Because it was Saturday - it was clear, what kind of market of the Chania Market series we had to visit today! This time a little more tricky to get there, even if you know the environment...

I liked the idea of putting traditionals at the several markets in and around the city, but the hiding places didn’t fit to our holiday expectations. OK - we are in crete, but mostly the stashes were surrounded by rubbish or disgusting left-overs..., and there are lot of hiding possibilities with less smell and dirt.

So this is a challenging series in a certain sense...

After I managed to get to the right spot, the stash could be found with a special view to the sea and city.

Je connais bien cet endroit, je suis descendu plusieurs fois à l'hôtel juste à l'angle. J'arrive vite au point de la cache mais ne comprend pas du tout l'indice... Je regarde les anciens log et vois un autre indice beaucoup plus explicite. La cache est bien trouvée mais l'herbe à bien poussé et rend la recherche très difficile sans le deuxième indice...

I know this place well, I have stayed several times at the hotel just around the corner. I arrive quickly at the point of cache but do not understand at all the index ... I look at the old log and see another index much more explicit. The cache is well found but the grass has grown well and makes the search very difficult without the second clue ...

In my opinion the cache spot is not too bad. There is good access with nice view to the sea if you start at N35° 30.928 E24° 1.453 following the small footpath. See pic. Of course, if it had rained or in the early morning the grass is wet, what you would not expect in town.
The hint should be corrected to: **„At the foot of the wooden pole.“**

Terrible place to find it in Autumm or Winter.

Diffecult to find in Winter time.

I'm in Chania at least third time and I'm glad for every new cache there.
During my stay in a hotel I prepared for a fast cache finding - I carefully checked cache place on online map picture and read others logs.
This was the last cache this time after late supper and a bit after midnight. Due to that easy from the muglers.[:d]

Während unseres 2-wöchigen Urlaubs hier in Chania bei einer Cacherunde am Abend gesucht, gefunden und geloggt. Schade, dass es an einigen Stellen in der Stadt oft so vermüllt ist, so auch hier. DFDC und viele Grüße aus Deutschland.

This CO has a real talent for finding spectacular out of the way places, and this is another. The way up is easy, the find is just tricky enough, and you feel quite intrepid while there. Lovely stuff - thank you!

Etwas versifft hier und wir haben einige tote Ratten auf dem weg gesehen, dennoch den cache gefunden. Eigentlich eine schöne Anlagen auf die man hier herunter schaut.

Letzter kompletter Urlaubstag und da einen Besichtigungstag
von Chania gemacht und zwischendurch einige wenige Caches geloggt.
Sehr schönes Städtchen, sehr zu empfehlen!
Auch lustige Caches, manchmal musste man durchs Wasser durch...

Unfortunately didn't find it, thought it was too close to the fall.

Today we visited the beautyful Citi Chania. Of course we also wanted to find some Geocaches. Here it took us a little bit longer to find a way to get in ...afterwards it was a quick find.
