Must say, this cache was in the worst state I've ever seen a cache. It stunk. As mentioned by plantman, the cache is waterlogged, and quite a bit of algae was growing. Visited with jfreak, Chris, John and Tony. Took fishing reel, left tin of spaghetti I grabbed from Gorilla.
I was going to suggest the cache be archived, but I see it already has.
bmac.

Plantman was here Tuesday March 11, 2003. Found the cache without too much problem, it's big enough, but the lid is broken and the container is half full of grungy water. All the bags are also full of water and I think the entire contents are toast. I wrote my log on a piece of notepaper and rolled it up in a film can which is floating in the cache. TNLN for obvious reasons. Some serious maintenance is needed here.
First time we parked we were face with a very long walk or a 1.5km swim(& co did not think this was funny at all). After looking at a map realised that there are two sides to this spot,so hopped back in the car and 20 mins later found it much easier(I think this was because we came to it from the north rather than the south).Took nothing but left nothing.Thanks.

A great walk, with nice views of the lake and a good nature trail. The box as people have mentioned was damaged but the tape was holding up though still very damp inside. The Ziplock bag has worked at keeping out the water from its log and treasures. Took a flat tennis ball and left a combination padlock
A nice walk
A nice walk
Nice drive to this one and a reasonably nice spot for a cache. The place was basically empty but I get the feeling that on a weekend in summer it would be packed. Played in the play ground for a while, tryed the digger machine and the see-saw thing.
Off to the track we found the cache without much problem. Unfortunatly, as with all caches planted by Spider (a codeword for a group of caches done by QUT students?) it was in bad shape. Even worse, the people that had been through previously (not gaypee) had not even bothered to seal up the ziplock bag even though the cache lid was broken. We replaced the bag with a new one and put some gaffer tape over the lid to help keep some moisture out. We swapped a green rope for a blue stubbie holder.
Future visitors, please try and keep our caches in good condition, perhaps a little bit better then how you found it.

Found 4.20pm.
We were holidaying in Qld (from S.A)and managed to locate 4 caches while we were there. This was our first and as we had no idea of the area we had a good deal of trouble locating the carpark. At one stage we could see where we needed to be but had no idea how to get there (without a boat).
When we eventually found the right carpark it was an easy walk to the vicinity of the cache. It took us about 15mins then to find the cache amongst all the undergrowth. The sandflies were ferocious and the bush full of burrs.
Took the batteries left a pen from Dunedin.
Thoroughly enjoyed the scenic drive from Maroochydore to the location.

Found at 2.00PM. Nice spot for our lunch followed by a nice easy stroll around the track, Quite easy to find but the lid was badly cracked and some of the contents were damp. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev
Our second find for the day.
Nice walk into the site and the cache was found after a little searching. Kids took a hat and a pen/pencil set. We left a fishing hand line and a tennis ball with our visit recorded on it.
The cache lid is broken and the contents not in the Zip-lock plastic bag were very wet.
Lots of prickles in the surrounding bush that really annoyed the kids. The carpark and picnic grounds are a good site for a BBQ.

Found by Mary & David at 1615. The end of a perfect sunny day for our 100th cache! Ninderry and the Ginger Factory in the morning followed by a visit to the Big Pineapple where we enjoyed lunch. The lake and picnic ground here provided a very peaceful setting. Pelicans, parrots, and a manicured grassy path almost up to the cache. Our GPSr was a bit off the mark, so we had to hunt round a little among the trails left by previous visitors. We thought the cache had been trashed when we spotted the damaged lid, but the contents were still OK. Left the Scottish doll from Ninderry and a sheet of Pooh Bear stickers, and took the Avon Powder. The cache lid is definitely getting worse and is probably suffering from prolonged UV exposure. It is now webbed with cracks and very brittle, and has a number of holes. It really needs to be replaced, as attempts to patch it are unlikely to be effective for long. Even so, thanks to Glenn, Peter & Spider for choosing such a great spot. We heade off east along the Blackall Range tourist drive to our overnight stay at the Sunshine Coast with plans to visit Goodness Mee the next morning on our way south.

Found at 1:00pm
We made this one unnecessarily hard for ourselves by following the GPS rather than the path.
The cache was pretty hard to find - there was alot of fresh green undergrowth from the recent rains which very nearly had it obscured. The lid is still cracked and there was a spider inside (a little one). Despite that, the contents were fine and dry. Maybe if the next visitor could take some gaffer tape to mend the lid it will last longer.
We took the Billabong hat and left a handy hex key set.
Lovely location on a lovely day. We had our picnic lunch by the water.
Thanks very much.

Found it this time.
We arrived at lunch and it was raining hard.
We had our picnic inside the cars.
Anyway the rain slowed enough for us to grab our umbrellas and have a try.
Well we had a lot of trouble locating it. The GPS lead us to the location but we searched for a while and coud not locate it. We were just about to give up and I remembered the picture of the cache site and thought I recognised a spot about 15 metres away and low and be hold I found it.
The box lid has been cracked and the cache was wet. We signed the log book. We left some mozzie coils, talcum powder and some other nic nacs.
This cache box really needs a new lid as the cache is wet and damp.
2nd time lucky for us.

Bombed Out On This One.
We arrived late in the day and raced up to find it but we ran out of light and we will have to return another day for another try.
We had a hard time finding the car park and chewed up a lot of fuel trying to find it.
We would get about 1-2 Kms from it but couldn't get to it. I had forgotton to put the car park in the GPS and when I noticed it we had wasted too much day light. Once the car park was located it was straight forward except no day light was left for us to make a decent try at it.
Next time.

Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) with friend Bill, at 2:30PM on Sunday the 3rd of March 2002. The cache was not hard to locate, but several detours around the many spider webs was required. The cache was in good order. We took a bug candle and left two glow stars, a blue frog, and a map of the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne. The rain held off for us and allowed us to enjoy a pleasant lunch break at the car park. Thanks, Ray, Maya and Bill.
[The scenic drive and a great cache spot makes this an ideal family cache.]
Thanks to jfreak's log, I resisted the temptation to go cross country and kept to the track and found it without difficulty.
[The cache was still in good condition but as I'd forgotten to bring an item I took nothing and left nothing.
Really enjoyed this spot... Thanx guys.
Kevin (PS. Don't forget the Aerogard!]

We did it. I took a friend on this hunt to get himn into the sport. We decide part way around to take a short cut through the scrub, great idea if you want a good collection of prickles and cobblers pegs. Traded a tape measure for the rope. After doing this one we then set off to do glasshouse. Good hunting to you. Steve and 'O'
Good little drive to the cache we thouroughly enjoyed the TAGA style roads on the way there. Yes the two starting thing did catch us out and after another 45mins of driving we found the correct car park to start from. We did the Glass House Cache in the morning so Laroon was a nice way to finish the day. We had many problems at the start of the walk with the GPS saying it was in one direction through the little river and the track going the other direction but we followed the track in the hope it would curve back and we managed to find it with about 30mins of light to spare.
Great location for a cache .. scenic drive, nice walk, not to easy nor too hard to find. Future visitors should be careful: there are 2 areas where one COULD try to find this cache from, make sure you check a map first against the car park or cache coordinates as listed to get the correct start point, cause if you try and start from the wrong one you wont make it unless your name is Jesus Christ.
I hunted this one with my mate Gavin (don't forget to log in too Gav!). We took nothing from this cache, letting it grow a little instead, added a new item and put some of the items in zip lock bags to help preserve them.

As Steve said above. Beautiful location, pleasant
stroll. As this is my first Geocache hunt/find, it made a good one to 'cut my teeth on'. I now offiacally hooked & look forward to many a cache hunt.
