Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a different kind of a day. The youngest Husky went off for a very long walk, meandering in and around the CBD area, targeting many caches and a lot of adventure lab checkpoints. Over 40,000 steps were walked in total, which worked out to be a smidge over 30kms. Meanwhile, the two elder Huskies opted for a more relaxing day to rest and recover, hanging close to base with a handful of finds in between some shopping and a cafe lunch. An incredibly productive and most importantly, fun caching day, which if including AL's in the total, made for our biggest day of finds ever. We are all thoroughly loving Adelaide.Systematically made my way through the buttons, one of them didn't seem to work but it obviously wasn't the one that sounded the required words. Answer sent. Thanks for the cache
#24287. We started at the wrong flag pole, but luckily I realised while the first audio clip was playing. Once we got to the correct flag pole we only had to listen to one clip, as I correctly guesses which one it would be. Troodles sent answers on behalf of us both. TFTC.
We initially stood under the wrong flag until StreetWalkerNZ noticed that we should be over thar. This was the fifth and last square we visited in the CBD since Friday, so we are slowly getting to know our way around.Answers sent to the CO on behalf of StreetWalkerNZ and myself. TFTC.
My Forst time visiting Adelaide. Here are so many caches to do and too little time. I hope I will return one day. thanks for the virtual
Creative virtual cache right in the heart of Adelaide, this beautiful and easy going city. Many thanks to the owner for the this cache!
Bisoutje and I are on a 4-week roadtrip with a campervan between Cairns and Adelaide and have now finally touched ground in Adelaide. We spend our 2 days here exploring the city, stopping for various reasons along the way. One of these reasons is Geocaching. We did not read the listing with enough attention which means we stood at the wrong flag initially (tends to happen with us sometimes). After none of the 4 options gave us the right answer we noticed our mistake and moved to the actual GZ. Answer was found and sent to the CO.As we learned something today about not 1 but 2 flags, and given the interactive nature of this virtual I am happy to award a fav point.TFTC!
29 February 2024 15:36 TFTC Sneaky & the Chocolate Frog for placing this cache, number 14602 for me. Spent a while listening to the information, on our recent Adelaide visit, before the answer was unfurled . Information requested has been sent to the CO. A great use of a well -deserved virtual I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.
Visited this virtual during a caching trip to South Australia chasing specific challenge targets with some other easy types to boost the numbers. One of buttons seemed to be out of order but required answer collected and sent to CO.
Second day caching here leave tonight for the ACT This has been a quick trip to cache only. Beautiful city lots of caches I will need to come back TFTC Big day just on 6 hours of walking and 14.5 km.
In SA for a couple of days, with husband Xesist. Thought we would head into the city for a stroll and some Geocaching. Was great to learn more about the Australian flag TFTC.
Found on a day out with Rarebreed. Enjoyed a day out walking around Adelaides CBD whilst over for a few days from Melbourne. Thank you for bringing us to this interactive/informative flag pole.TFTC
Out with the team for a good time in the city and surrounds. Plenty of shoe leather and lots of fun.TFTC
A fun few days in this beautiful city with friends. Lots of walking in the cool fresh air with little time to spare - fun! Answer has been sent to the CO. TFTC SneakySqueaky!
One of the buttons isnt working - luckily it doesnt affect the solving of this cool virtual. Some nicely presented history here.I sent my answer to the CO who quickly gave me the ok to log. Thanks, Freddo!
Gastank2 and I got to the coordinates and pressed the buttons. We listened and sent our answer. We found this unique virtual while visiting Adelaide from Melbourne. It was a fun day of caching despite the threat of rain all morning. Thanks for the virtual.
Found this morning while out for a lovely brisk walk in ADL CBDAn impressive flag pole & wonderful buttons to press TFTVC
Day 4 of our short holiday to SA from Brisbane. Today we caught the free tram into the city to have breakfast (that's what i told the kids, but i wanted particular caches). Then we drove out to Semaphore and took a ship graveyard tour. It trained all afternoon which did squash the caching a bit.
Whrend unseres Sdaustralienaufenthaltes sind wir auch hier vorbeigekommen und haben die Aufgabe erfllt. Danke frs Auslegen und Pflegen des Caches.
Great concept for a virtual cache. Found whilst in Adelaide on a work trip. TFTC
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Sneaky Squeaky [^]
Found after tasting Australia's finest food at the Tasting Australia event at Vic Square and drink especially the local gin. Fantastic, loved the explanation of the history of our flag, shame the Aboriginal buttons didnt work.
(# 10233) One button was out of order, but it wasn't the one in question. TFTVC! - - - - - - - - -*Having had a wonderful 25-day trip to Australia, visiting Townsville, Canberra, Sydney, the Sunshine Coast, Kangaroo Island, and finally spending time in Adelaide, today I just had a sunday walkabout in town. Wonderful weather today, for a Swede, who just lived through 6 months of gray, dark, icy, rainy, snowy winter in the northern hemisphere. I just browsed about town, logging virtuals, ALC's, traditionals and a mystery cache I solved a long time ago as part of some "Master of Mystery". Truly enjoyed it all. Tomorrow, I'll fly back home.* **Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining geocaches for the community to enjoy.** // e-scape (from Sweden)
#13960 14:35The city centre of Adelaide is full of virtual caches. I like our flag, and very happy to stand under this one!TFTVC SneakySqueaky

#14,547. We were over in Adelaide recently to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega event on 29 Feb. During a very busy trip with lots of geocaching we stopped to do a number of virtuals and earthcaches but have only begun to check up on the requirements for these back home. I found a photo taken at this one and have messaged the CO with the answer based on where my geobuddy Infoferret was pointing. Thank-you SneakySqueaky for highlighting this feature in the lovely city of Adelaide. Looking forward to my next visit there and hopefully being more organised around my cache finding.
SM325 and I are on a bucket list trip to New Zealand and Australia. This is our first time here and we are having a blast. We traveled here from Ohio, USA. The scenery has been magnificent! We had a great time walking around the town today. TFTF!
Mrs. Amazing and I spent this beautiful sunny afternoon doing adventure labs, traditional caches, virtuals and earthcaches. It gave us the ability to see a good part of Adelaide. This one definitely deserves a favorite point. Thanks so much for putting this one out as well as feeding my insatiable addiction!
Today's plan is walking some more around Adelaide, doing some geocaching along the way and thus exploring the city. The weather is a bit colder than yesterday, but we like it that way, had enough heat in Singapore. Interesting to hear about the history of the flag. One button is broken, fortunately not the one we needed. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
CaptainVimes and I enjoyed a trip to Adelaide recently with SQUIRM for the Leap Day mega. I have now sent my answers. Thanks for this virtual SneakySqueaky

There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
Without this cache, I wouldn't have stopped to listen. It was a shame that it was broken but we did listen to what we could. Thank you for bringing us here.
Nice way of doing a Virtual, there's a similar themed one in Northern Auckland NZ at Tawharanui Regional Park which is also cool. Thanks for the placement and find, have emailed a response. At midday I headed to the city and parked in a pay and display slot for 2 hours and hit the city trails. Reckon I managed 20 Ad Lab stages and about 12 real caches. An early start with work this morning, in the local bakery before 0600 collecting food for colleagues and delivering just after 7. A whole load of vehicle refuelling was next on the cards and some modest networking and meeting new folks. When all that was done a quick meeting then into the city for a bite of some of the many riches available caching-wise. Picked off a few Ad Lab stages when possible and targeted the Virtuals and Earthcaches mostly. Thanks to all SA cache hiders for your efforts and maintenance.
Im visiting Adelaide for the first time, here for the Mega which is also my first, with Willis007. Today is our last day so we have spent the morning finding a few more chosen caches in the city, walking around on this quiet Sunday. At gz, we pressed all of the buttons and learnt about the flag. My answer has been sent to the CO. Tftc

Adelaide TripAttending the mega event for the weekend with a bunch of of Canberra mates. Signed as SALI24 (SA Leap Invasion). I am having a blast exploring Adelaide city! Thanks for the hide SneakySqueaky
Thank you for the cache!Found together with Ironford during our Leap Year stay in Adelaide - the very first time in Australia! I really enjoyed exploring and geocaching here. The weather was incredible (having arrived from central European winter), and I loved the beaches!Today, our plan was to attend the event in Semaphore and then go to Port Adelaide to see the dolphins, but the cruise operator postponed the trip to the following day, so we did some more sightseeing in the city centre instead. We went by train to North Terrace and then walked through the CBD.Seeing the Southern Cross constellation was definitely on my To Do list, and I was thrilled every time I found it in the night sky. This virtual is a very nice reminder.
A huge thank you to the cache owner for creating and maintaining a wonderful cache. EP79 and I have embarked on a three-month long geocaching trip across the globe, and we are both grateful and thrilled to discover new places and new friends. The first part of our trip is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. We started in Adelaide and fell in love with the city and the geocaching community. The main goal was the Leap Day Mega Event, but Adelaide was so much more than that!Today, we went to the seaside, which is always a treat for people from a landlocked country. We also spent some time in the CBD to find some more caches for a challenge. Thanks for the virtual. Many thanks for an invite to a beautiful place and for a wonderful geocaching adventure. Greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic, Europe.
Out early today with lots to collect before heading off to the Mega. This was a nice easy one, although I thought with the fringe festival on, it might be hard to get at, but relieved it wasn't.
After 16 years of caching the time has come to tick off a mega. After arriving late last night into Adelaide I was up early with a mission to collect as many cache types as were available today. I headed into town before the event in the hope to pick up the web cam caches and a sprinkling of others to set me up for the rest of the day. Finding a safe place to park I was soon at ground zero and the prize was quickly obtained. Now off to enjoy more of what Adelaide has to offer and tick a few boxes along the way.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this available to be found.Cheers
09:59 And so I have a virtual done for the 29th too!! And the day is still young! These massive flagpoles are always so impressive! Funn # 26 6710This cache: Ansert is sent co, hoping the answer is adequat!Yeah...!! Were finally here!!What a journey to get here!!A long time ago i found that there was a MEGA-event on Leap day, here in Adelaide, so i booked a plane-ticket!Then eterg would join me, so i booked one for her as well!!Then somewhere to stay, and i found a cheap and very nice AirBNB apartment! Then a rental car, and the cachetour was planned, with some webcams, virtuals, earthcaches, and some old caches! So finally, on monday 26th february, we left from Oslo, Norway, way up North!, to London. Then Singapore Airlines to Singapore!, a 13 hour long flight.6 hours in Singapore, before a 7 hours flight to Adelaide.Through the passport-control, pick-up our luggage, through the custom, and then to Hertz to pick up our rental car.We got a Toyota Camry, big and nice white car!, with everything on the wrong side!!! So drove VERY slowly at first, thinking "wich side of the road should i drive?", but it turned out ok so far.Found are AirBNB apartment, took a shower, drove the grocery to buy some groceries, took a loong nap, but could have slept longer, but we wanted to go to an evening event yesterday. We parked, and walked to the event. We had just arrived at the event, when 6 other caches from Norwayturned up, wich we had communicated with in advance. The event turned out to be very nice, several "Aussies" came to speak with us, very nice!,and after a while we left the event, found the nearby cache, and drove back, for some food and sleep. With a little calculation, we found that we hadnt been eaten for 12 hours...!!A small breakfast around 8:00-9:00 AM on the plane!, so about time!A little bit more calculation, and i found that i slept like 5-6 hours - at the most!! - in the last 48 hours! So food and sleep was most appreciated!!, as well as this event!, WICH WAS OUR FIRST CACHE EVER IN AUSTRALIA...!!After sleep, breakfast, we went to the Mega-Event, on leap day, 29th february 2024, where met the other Norwegians. We got a shot at two of the ALS, and the other caches around, before we went into the city with Team Eika,There we found two webcams, two virtuals, a traditional, Earthcache, lunch, toilet, multi, before we went back to the side-event.There we "spilt up" with the other Norwegians, and me and eterg went to see if we could find some TBs on the cars that was parked around. The pfysically caches, those with a logbook, we signed as TA = Team Avensis, wich also today was eterg and me.Many thanks for this cache!Greetings from Norway!
Travelling with stensbye. We are in Adelaide for the Mega event. Thank you for this wirtuell cache.
Answers sent to the CO. Photo attached. Found the right button and got a happy snap below the flagpole and flag. Visited the site with Loci612, DARKSIDEDAN and Muppet95. Met the CO later at the Great Leap Forward mega and had a chat about the deviousness of the multi. Cheers --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to Traditional Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

A most interesting cache. Thank you.Today is the day: Mega day and leap day.Yabba dabba dooooo.Like everyone else Mr-Mcgoo, marchwood, kiscardi and I are travelling around Adelaide trying to find as many caches as possible to ensure we have the 29th addon appear on many of our Project-GC badges. And, of course, there will be lots of laughter as we do so.Huge thank you to all the COs who have placed the caches we find and log today. Some of the caches will be used to help me meet the challenging module (I need to find 400 caches with caches with a D/T of 2.5+/2.5+) for the [GC30AD8](http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC30AD8) DGSC Challenge (West Coast) challenge in NZ.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache SneakySqueaky.
I had never geocached in South Australia before, and with a Mega event on offer, I thought I would pop in to my neighbours for the day. Took the first flight in from Melbourne and the last flight out. Got back to Melbourne just before midnight of this leap day 2024.My plan was to walk Adelaide collection as many types of possible, oldies, Virtuals, Earthcaches, and most importantly, my first Webcam. From the airport to the event, collecting caches on the way. Then, he chatted with friends at the Mega before walking to the heart of Adelaide. The city was busy, and I bumped into a number of geocachers, my locals, interstate cachers, and at the webcam, a Polish group of geocachers. Cheated on the way back to the event and took public transport, but did walk the 5 kilometres back to the airport for my return flight home.I was pleased that I got at least 1 of every type, most of the oldies I wanted, and walked over 20 kilometres. Maybe I should have had a sports watch on recording the steps. Thanks to everyone for a great adventure. Thanks for the cache, Sneaky & the Chocolate Frog .HunterPS. Logging without permission but message sent. PPS. Permission received to log.
As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip. Now has Ellen Sch, MrVon sr and Insve started on their jurney home to Norway so we now sign logs with our nick.
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 39/74, Thursday, the Leap Day. I made a very quick trip to Adelaide to participate in The Great Leap Forward mega event. On the 28th, I left Melbourne right after a rather short workday and took a flight to Adeleide, where I participated in the reviewers' dinner (I work as a reviewer for Finland & land Islands) with Australian reviewers and HQ lackeys and on my way to the restaurant and and back, also geocached a bit. On the 29th, I worked from my hotel in the morning, participated in the mega event and geocached around the city a little bit in the afternoon, then headed to the airport and continued my working day there. So it was quite a combination of everything but I was happy I could make it to the mega anyway. I was back to Melbourne after midnight on the March 1st then. This was a fun virtual cache, I enjoyed. I sent my answer to the CO. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
I found this cache with The Booos while in Adelaide for the Great Leap forward Mega Event a nice quick find here today TFTCanswer sent by The Booos
**Today**Leap Day has arrived! Today myself, DSD, Muppet95 and pantspeople teamed up for a whole day of fun! With the mega event opening up at 10am, we decided to spend the morning cleaning out the city as much as we could. 8-12pm was on foot walking around the city, successfully finding two webcams, more virtuals + ECs than we could count and whatever physical caches we could grab on the way! Afterwards, we spent some time at the mega venue doing all the labs + getting goodies & refreshments to get out of the sun for a while! The afternoon was spent driving from street to street picking up as many epic caches on our list as we could, caching until we were exhausted! Thanks to all the COs -**This Cache**This was a really neat idea for a virtual! An interesting location standing below the Australian Flag, and a nice audio installation! We listened to each reading and determined which button was required to press! Later in the day I actually met Sneaky back at the mega event site! We had a good chat about a few of his caches we had found in the city, and this was one of them. I verbally gave him my answer & he approved. Im sure he will remember me, especially with my attached photo! Thanks for the virtual!
(9722) Today is the SA Mega. Went out to grab 11 different types of caches plus the different sizes. Out with NZ_B, Marchwood and Kiscardi. Had a lovely walk around the city today. Thanks SneakySqueaky for taking the time to place this and for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here. This was an awesome location for a Virtual Cache. I walked all around Adelaide for 3 hours collecting the earthcaches and Virtual Caches. Loci612 will send any answers for us both if required. Photos with my log.
6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 5 days in Adlade, we visited the centre and around while following the caches and labs. We resolved some mysteries before our trip. We made some great discoveries and great experiences. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
Found whilst in Adelaide for the mega on 29 Feb, The Great Leap Forward. Cool audio set-up at GZ, it's a shame that it wasn't working for the Aboriginal flag, it would've been interesting to listen. Answers sent to the CO, TFTC!

We kunnen terugkijken naar 2 mooie weken in Australi!NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to Australia for 4 weeks. We will go to Tasmania for the first week and then travel around on the "mainland" for 3 weeks. Along the way I'll meet my niece, I haven't seen her for 50 years. It will be a holiday full of experiences......Our cache goal is to visit different countries. So we fly back to Dubai and forth via HongKong. We would like to score an FTF in Australia. We do that in Tasmania?? Then the webcam caches in Adelaide and the old caches between Adelaide and Sydney. Then we end up at the Mega in Canberra. A full program which a lot of fun!Unfortunately, after 2 weeks we have to end our trip with an earlier return flight to the Netherlands. My mother passed away and we have to go back. We can look back at 2 beautiful weeks in Australia!
Visiting the nearby Fringe tents we came out and pushed a few buttons as well as finding an AdLab.TFTVC
We are on a trip around Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. Beside visiting beautiful places we also do our hobby geocaching. The answer was easy to give and send. Sneaky & the Chocolate Frog , thank you for this virtual cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
In town for the weekend to see a show. Enjoying a GeoKid free adventure. Big bloody pole that one! Wonder if our local council would allow us to put one like that in our front yard?
Walking through the city and didn't realise the Tour down under had started. Lucky I just had to look like a tourist. Answer sent to the CO. Thanks
Found with byronbure during a saunter around Adelaide on a warm day. Nice to see all the Xmas activities around this area. Thanks for the cache."Discovering our world one box at a time"
