After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future ??
Settling into another phase of our southern journey our travels taking us to a few more challenging challenges.Sad to see them gone.Caching with and signing as 5 for QLD.TFTCache Gordon Patrick Samuel
In Adelaide for a couple of weeks.Another busy day - here there and everywhere. Again signing as 5 for QLD. This morning we have a really early start (before sunrise) into the Adelaide Hills. Nice to Jasmer an Oldie! Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 9, 2024. TFTC, Gordon Patrick Samuel
TFTC smile 18526 out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few caches in Adelaide heading to cache Down south today signing as 5 for Qld Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda , what a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun Thank you Gordon Patrick Samuel for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. Stacey is touring us around Adelaide picking up some stragglers. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Gordon Patrick Samuel
And on the seventh dayThe best cure for Post Leap Day Blues (yes ,thats a real thing) is to either: a) Get up at 5:30am to go caching including an event in a new LGA or b) Sleep in until 10am and go shopping SQUIRM managed to do both Thanks Gordon Patrick Samuel
Day 8 of SQUIRMs adventures around South Australia and with only 2 days left theres still some targets to get. We are in the hills targeting challenges and anything else we step over.Tftc Gordon Patrick Samuel
The Leap Day Mega was a great excuse to come down from Queensland and weve had a busy time exploring Adelaide and surrounds cache by cache. Meeting up with friends old and new, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Although I have been to Adelaide before, this trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for everyone to enjoy.
I didn't get to as many caches around here as I had hoped to, but nice to find this one before having to head off.
Quick easy find. It's always nice to find an old cache, thanks for keeping this one going.
Day 5 of my escape to Adelaide with Smittengranny and collecting a few targeted caches and LGAs. Tftc
One of the extras barb2e and I found after doing the SFE Challenge caches north east of Norton Summit. A quick find and sign here. TFTC Gordon Patrick Samuel. Gosh it is ages since I signed one of your caches.
Adelaide and train trip Day 12. Blackwood day 4. After returning from my epic Ghan trip from Darwin to Adelaide yesterday, today was a day with a full day of caching planned. I was targeting the SFE challenges up beyond Norton Summit. I did a lot more walking than I expected and had to change my direction as some of the 'roads' I had targeted turned out to be reserve trails. I had a great day and apart from two Cherryville caches found everything I went looking for. I only just made it home in time, but it was well worth it.I managed to find two caches in this reserve area, maybe no more strawberries, but now a nice space for exercising. Thanks for the cache Gordon Patrick Samuel44717.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Cache Queensland Cal A#437**Albida**
Thankyou for hiding this geocache! It was really fun to find especially for my first find! Thanks
Love finding old caches, fantastic that this is still gong after 20 years.
Thanks Gordon Patrick Samuel
We arranged to catch up with Tassie Trekkers, who have been over here for a while, to do some caching around Adelaide and surrounds. The weather was typically Tasmanian, four seasons in one day with some flash flooding thrown in!
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.
Thanks Gordon Patrick Samuel

Today we teamed up with gooseandegg, stainless-steel-rat and Budgietas to do some caches around Adelaide of different types and this was one of them.
We signed the logs as Team Tasmania, cache and contents were good.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Found this cache while out caching with Tassie trekkers. Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
Second full day in Adelaide, and we worked our way through some caches we had predetermined to do
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

Just stumbled onto this cache while surfing for old caches. I used to work at Avon in the school holidays “stripping” (corn) and packing strawberries. My first job. Will have to swing past and check out the housing. Thanks for the cache
After helping at the CITO in Hackham I decided to head up Black Hill to attempt to make a dent in the list of solved puzzles and multis I had up there. Managed to find about 8 caches which I was happy with. Sadly my target cache was a dnf and I was also advised by others that there are many many caches on that hill so I will have to stagger up there again (probably lots of times) in the future.
It was quite a hot day and I was under prepared energy and liquid wise. Was very happy to get back to the car safe and sound for a feeding and eating frenzy followed by a Mexican feast on the way home. Was very grateful not to see any snakes whilst out and about, I am sure the saw me though!
After my feeding frenzy at the car I walked along the road to make this one my last find of the day. TFTC GPS

Nice evening for a walk along the aqueduct and linear park and a few caches on the way. TFTC
Ah yes, a fond childhood memory. A day in the hills, back down the Gorge, and you’d come around that bend, see the AGON sign, and you knew you were back in the city. I thought the farm was on what is now Linear Park though. In any case, thanks for the cache and the memory.
Entered on the wrong side of park so had a bit of a walk to get to cache but it was a nice day and a nice walk
Out for a walk in this pleasant part of the City today...found four nice caches (including this one) as well as GZ for a solved puzzle cache which we just looked at and said "nup, not today." TFTC - its great to see a few of these older caches still around.
