Very interesting, even anti earthcache hubby liked this one. Will forward answers to CO tonight. Travelling with our caravan to WAGB from Echuca, Vic. Stayed a couple of nights at a park nearby in this beautiful town. Clearing a few LGA's as we go. TFTC SL TB's visited
#5678 Logging with permission. An epic day exploring this speccy coastline with the Twilight beach and cove area being a real highlight of beauty. Mr BGF was sent off to complete the relevant studies of this fascinating geological feature that without caching would have not known the unique way it was formed. Thanks for the lesson and the EC TeamThommo.
We were there at 12:39 PM It's amazing how something so nondescript can have so much geology and be millions of years old and staring people right in their faces without them realising what it is! Well we no know [^]Thanks to TeamThommo
What an extraordinary find I wouldnt have realised the significance of these features, even if Id stumbled over them. I was here for the spectacular scenery across the water. And there seem to be more ancient roots scattered over the beach. Seeing things like this is a reminder of how fleeting our time is on this earth Answers sent. Dropping off a **FAVE** TFTC TT
I found this a fascinating and fun EC.. it didn't hurt that it was on the scenic white sands of Twilight Beach either. I doubt we would have realised what we were seeing without the EC even if we had stumbled across it ourselves. The beach was quite empty as the wind had come up like it seems to in the afternoon. We did some measuring, made some observations and have sent them off. TFTEC TeamThommo.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 21 - Esperance Day. Today turned out to be a long day, with lots of caching and lots of chores to do all over town. When it came to caching, I found myself doing several short walks, but found quite a few great headlands and interesting rock formations. The air temperature was down, but it was hot out in the sun. I ended my day with a drink in a bar overlooking the bay on the esplanade. I'm off further around to the west tomorrow, hopefully another county as well. These calcified ancient remains are a reminder that we have only been on earth a short time compared to how long some things have been. I had a close look at the area and have put together my answers that have been sent off. Thanks for the cache TeamThommo46789.14 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2021 Wangaratta Event Gold A#478**Albida**
Some of Australias most beautiful coastline and we were so happy that we could spend a bit of time around here with beautiful weather.Trust TeamThommo to spot something with an interesting geology and history here. We definitely thought we should take a detour after we read the listing. We are very glad we did because it is most unusual and definitely worth visiting even though this little bit of geology is small. Thanks TeamThommo. Answers sent to CO. Adding a FP. Domsky
We are in Esperence for a couple of days and decided to ride the coastal trail. Was an awesome ride along the coast. Stopped in here to do this earth cache. Had the added difficulty of the one person on the beach in the area sunbathing right at GZ. I decided to gather the information from the other side. Once information gathered we headed further along to explore. Thanks for putting this earth cache together.
Found in the company of my nephew M and his daughter Paige, who I'm introducing to Geocaching, Answers sent via message, tftc I hope.
Any excuse to walk on this beautiful beach is very welcome. These root tubes are really quite amazing, sort of delicate but not. Thanks for showing us TeamThommo.
Oggi decidiamo di fare in auto la Scenic Coastal Drive per ammirare le bellezze di Esperance. Dopo la fermata al Rotary Loockout proseguiamo fino al Chapman's Point e poi arriviamo alla Twilight. Parcheggiamo e scendiamo in spiaggia. Studiamo queste strane formazioni, tocchiamo l'acqua del mare e scappiamo dal vento. Ciao e grazie. #10796Today we decide to take the Scenic Coastal Drive by car to admire the beauties of Esperance. After the stop at the Rotary Loockout we continue to Chapman's Point and then arrive at Twilight. We park and go down to the beach. We study these strange formations, touch the sea water and run away from the wind.Hello and thanks. #10796
Made the observations on this earthcache during several days at Esperance enjoying the incredibly scenic views of the area and searching for caches along the way. Thanks for the intriguing and informative earthcache TeamThommo!
Half the team had to start heading east for their own medical appointments appointment while the other half stayed with their friends in Geraldton. I'm heading down south and had to pick up a few caches to break up the drive. I'm concentrating mainly on adventure labs, virtual's and earth caches as you don't have to worry about muggles as much but I'm also stopping for any that look like as though they maybe a quick find.
I came here on my way back to Esperence from the turtle I had stopped here on the way to get a picture but never noticed that there was an earth cache here I must be getting slack. Back to the lovely area and down the steps for another fascinating sight which was really enjoyable. Unfortunately the rough seas made and incoming tide made collecting the answers quite difficult but I managed to collect them without getting wet which I was quite happy about on this very cold day. We have sent the answers off to the CO and hope they are good enough for this log to remain.
Many thanks again Team Thommo for another excellent earthquake in a fantastic location, it earns another favourite point from us

Norseman To Esperance
Back on the road we have arrived into Esperance, set up camp.
After lunch we toured the coastline doing some caches, AL & 2EC
Both EC were totally different & quite unique. The colour of the water & sand along this area is amazing.
This was a good way to visit the area.

Thankyou to the CO's for placing these caches.

Tftf. Beautiful spot and very interesting. Loved seeing all the 'faces' in the holes.
Found this earthcache on this wonderful place together with ELValtox on our trip to Esperance. Tftc and greetings from Germany
This was too close not to have a look at on a coolish Albany day. Was worth the look too. Thanks TeamThommo
Thank you! Day 5 of my road trip to Esperance and back. Happy to visit the earth cache here and enjoy the view. Answers sent to CO.
Visited the beach on a cold and blustery day for October. Great rock formations and answers sent to CO.
Thanks Team Thommo
Thanks Team Thommo
FAV, FAV, FAV! Unfortunately I can only give one favourite tick. This was so interesting, and it was a shame the weather had turned so bad, from the sunny earlier part of the day, to rain and gale force winds. I went to take my umbrella with me, but then decided that was an insane idea in this wind. Possibly my favourite Earthcache, or at lease equal favourite. Many Earthcaches are a bit ho-hum. NOT this one! Answers sent. TFTC TeamThommo.
Got up early to grab some caches before the weather really started! Met a friendly dog (and owner) whilst on the beach. Lovely little spot - and out of the blustery wind today! BOM said it feels like 6 degrees and it's right today! haha! TFTC!
This was one of the most interesting earth cache locations I have been to. I have sent my answers and photo to the CO and hope they are OK. Love caching in Esperance. The beaches are beautiful and I wish I could surf.
Gorgeous beach and interesting formations. We were planning to do the 40km scenic drive but only got this far today! Too many lovely spots to look at and fish! Thanks
Hanging out in Esperance and managed to find a few caches.
Another great TT Earthcache!!! Thanks heaps!!
TeamThommo, I found Roots 'n' all today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Completed earth cache haven’t received tick from CO yet. Very interesting - I wouldn’t noticed this or even stopped here.
Thanks for the EC.
Thanks for the EC.
Started our 2nd tour of WA now checking out Kalgoolie and surrounds. 30 November 2021 2:37 pm Tyfc TeamThommo total caches now 3264
A drizzly and cool morning but I gathered the required information while geo-hubby headed up the hill, over the road to grab another find. Answers sent to CO. Thanks TeamThommo
I find earth caches the most fun to find and complete. Thanks for bringing us down to the beach on a beautiful winter afternoon. Answers sent with TeamBarritts.
Really great Earthcache here and another formation that we didn't know about. As we love these types of caches a fav for sure, TFTC!
Found a break in the showers to walk the length of the beach. The tide was just approaching these rocks as we got there so we didn't spend too much time, just enough to answer the questions then head back to the car. TFTC
We travelled from Portland Victoria across to WA to see our daughter in Perth. Now we are slowly heading home via Yallingup, Denmark and Esperance.
After a couple of days of terrible weather we settled into Esperance for another couple of days of terrible weather. Too wet to do much caching but we did manage to do the Adventure Lab and a couple in between showers.
A very familiar sight - we have the petrified forest near Portland. Answers are on the way
Thanks for showing us this part of the world TeamThommo

Thanks for sharing this interesting spot with us. We wouldn’t have noticed it if not for the cache bringing us here.
We were at this beach at 7:30 this morning and as there were no muggles, I spent the time to inspect all the strange formations. Very interesting, and I wonder how close this is to the pinnacles near Lancelin? Answers sent to CO.
Very interesting. We had to explain what we were doing to a family . They were very impressed. Tftc
Thank you for another great earthcache. This one was an easier job then some others however it still was enjoyable.
After a 4wd tour along the beach to cape let grande and lucky bay, we came over here to complete this earthcache. The weather was glorious and the water was amazing. These "roots"were also very interesting. Thanks for bringing us to this special spot. You guys sure do get around.
pug002 went to this 9/11/20 what a wonderful sight, thanks for taking us there TeamThommo
An interesting spot with some nice stuff to learn. A bit windy here this morning. Answers sent to CO
I have a month off from work so a family road trip was planned covering parts of the Goldfields, Great Southern and South West.
In Esperance for a few days. Looking around, caching and enjoying the fairly pleasant weather. Stayed around town today. Spent some time along the Great Ocean Drive enjoying the views and spectacular beaches.
TeamThommo SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache Roots 'n' all today at 09:54:09 6 Nov 2020. This brings my find count to 4426
TeamThommo - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

A perfect day for a little stroll on this gorgeous beach. The water is so clear you can see for miles. Quite sobering though to know what happened here to the lass who is memorialized.
Have sent answers to CO, but of course forgot to attached photo, so have done so here.

We are enjoying our ride around the Great Ocean Drive. Kteeeee headed one way down to the beach and I went another way. Her trail was the right one as mine ended at a viewpoint. By the time I made my way down to her see was heading back up. She was also the one to send in the answers. Apparently I was just along for the ride on this one! Thanks for the Earthcache.
Unfortunately we had only a short stop at this location, but well worth it! Such a pretty cluster! We were also able to see a group of people surfing in the waves close by! thanks for this unique earthcache. Fave
Thanks for putting this cache here for us on this wonderful day of exploration. Team CCC. Answers are being sent by one of the team, not me in t his case. What beautiful beaches you guys have!
We were off the Radiance of the Seas today. We rented a car and drove around. This was the third cache we found.
It seemed so near the parking area, but only for a crow.
The answers are on the way and I will post a picture.
TFTC and greetings from the USA.

We are at the start of our 5week holiday travelling to the coast to enjoy the sunshine and water. Along our travels we made a few stops to explore the area and grab a few caches . Collecting a few last caches before 2019 ends. I have emailed the answers , thank you for placing.
Megawat60 and I are in Esperance before heading to Lucky Bay. We were quite excited that new TeamTommo Earthcaches had cropped up since our last visit here. So off we went and this was the first. Despite living in Esperance for a few years last century I did not even know this was here. So we walked and observed. Answers will be sent shortly. Thanks TeamTommo and a FP for all the info.
Very cool I will be able to share my newfound knowledge when we visit. Thank you.
Had a trip out to The historic ghost town of Gwalia planned for some time now and with the wife keen to check out some of the ghost towns and various ruins throughout the goldfields it was sure to be a great trip.
We travelled to Kalgoorlie and then upto Gwalia where we stayed at Hoover House, which is the old mine managers house for the sons of gwalia mine and offered great views of the pit.
We took a day trip out to Laverton and Leinster with a small detour to grab a few caches along the great central road. After our detours from Leonora we dropped back into Kal and down to Esperance for the last night of our trip.
A great trip away and thanks for all the caches along the journey. Thank you to the COs for their caches.

What an interesting rock formation. Reminds me somewhat of a miniature version of the pinnacles. Thanks for the earthcache
What a shocker morning it has been. Had no sleep last night after nursing a few injuries (after tripping up the stairs at the Foreshore last night). Also discovered a slow leak in the car tyre, which was beginning to bald the outside edge, so I got that replaced this morning too. However, after that, things began to run a bit smoother and I picked up the last of the caches in Esperance, ahead of my return to Perth tomorrow.
Some very interesting formations!... and what a nice day to be at the beach. I’ll forward my answers through in the next couple of days.
Cheers TeamThommo!

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 10014. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
It's been a while since we found a TeamThommo earthcache. We took a quick walk along the beach admiring this one today. What was a bit sad was the memorial to the young girl near where we parked who lost her life in a shark attack. We have sent our answers for this one via the message centre.
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache.

We arrived in Esperance yesterday afternoons we begin the long journey set to return to our home in Victoria. We managed a few caches yesterday but the rain interrupted our efforts. With more rain predicted again this afternoon we set out in the morning to see the sights and cache as we went.
What a beautiful place Esperance is! This is our third visit to the area but we have not tired of the coastal scenery. Magnificent blue seas, countless islands and amazing granite outcrops. We love it.
This cache not only led us through spectacular scenery, but also took us to a feature we would have totally missed. And now we understand some of this oddity.
Thank you for another great TeamThommo Earthcache. Certainly one of the best Earthcache creators in the game!
