Muggled last week - has had a good 70 + finds - thanks for searching - quite exposed and I think some of the soccer players muggles know about it so I won't replace one here.
The swamp remains empty for now.

Routine check today thinking log needed changing but looks like the soccer muggles got this one ? Missing in action. Will disable for now.

Took a look around the tank area and couldn't find anything maybe I'm just a bad finder?
Found this sneaky little hide today, had to be a little mindful of the nearby cricket game going on but were far enough out of sight of any muggles to give us any trouble. The cache was quickly spotted and logged, thanks jupiterpearl for the cache.
Nice area for a walk. Wasn't obvious finding this cache. Very cleverly placed. Luckily no muggles around today while doing the search. TFTC
After walking east along the rail trail from Princes Park to the RRS#1 cache location (somewhere?), I headed north a little on the return journey to swing past this cache en route to the mystery GZ. I love the history lessons and tried to imagine the area as a swamp, but ultimately failed. No matter. The cache was a quick find for me -- I too had encountered such a sneaky hide before. This was #4 for the day.
Fortunately I had seen this type of thing before, otherwise this would have tricked me. Great camo.
Quick and easy find as I’ve seen theses ones around before still a great camouflage.
Out with JJ1 walking the dog found this great little hide
my first visit to this great park beautiful area.
neat little cache well done.

Quick find with Waste water Al after coming here for many months with our pupper. Thank you

It has been a while since I had found some other members of this series so seeing that I was back in the area I decided to find a few more.
I had been passed this one some time ago but the place was swarming with muggles so I didn’t even stop to look so today I was close by again and decided to have another look and this time I had no trouble at all, the cache was spotted quickly and the log was signed.
**Thanks to jupiterpearl for placing this cache.**

With a cricket match going on we had to be very sneaky here. Lurking a bit i spotted the hide and with cover from geowife grabbed it. signing the log and replacing was done so smooth. Back on the bikes and off.

It's been a while since I did a cache with a hide like this, and as always it's a surprise
TFTC and thanks for bringing me to the area!

Very sneaky, seen stuff like this before but haven't done many, thanks for the unique hide ) Visited some trackables #412
I was aware that this area had been a swamp at one time I had attended Glenhuntly Primary School and lived in Lyons St on the other side of Lord's Reserve in the late 50s/early 60s. Anyway a quick find. Thanks for bringing me back to this area. TFTC
Headed out for the day towards the city and i thought on the way home ill stop off for some caches so i found myself in this part of Melbourne. Nice easy series TFTC.
Well that was awesome.
Nice sunny day. Soccer match going on. As I ascertained the relevant structure, I scoffed thinking I'd seen the cache as I'd 'seen that type' before. I was wrong!
Another minute later something that looks totally relevant for its position at first, didn't make as much sense on second consideration.
Sure enough..it was the cache.
Now I just have to return it with this muggle right here...!!!!

I still had one hour to go for my appointment so thought I would go for this one and hopefully be fairly muggle free. Oh how i was wrong lots of dog walkers and a homeless guy taking up position on the near by bench. Good news was I spot the cache on the approach and was able to do a quick grab and return unnoticed.

Soccer muggles everywhere on a Sunday morning but an easy find once you know what you are looking for. Thanks for the cache
Out with xambo4u, this was fortunately a quick find as a footy match was in progress and the place was filled with muggles. Thanks jupiterpearl
Out and about with Echidna44 for the day. Long time coming and a little out of practice. Great to see so many out for the sport and what a great day for it. Toilets were very lean hate see half time. Nice easy find. Thanks for the cache jupiterpearl.
This is a park that I recall having visited a long while ago, but a different section being the diving board. After a loop around the needle settled and I spotted the hide. It's a clever little hide that suits the location very well, it looks like it belongs there.
Thanks to jupiterpearl for placing this cache.

A lot of muggle activity here, but it was soon fixed when a set of beach cricket stumps came out! This is one of my favourite cache types, I’m so glad I got to enjoy another. Thanks for the great cache!
This is my second day in a row travelling to Melbourne from Geelong to enjoy finding a few caches.
On the way up we passed through some light rain but then the rest of the day was full sunshine.
While in the area today two new caches were published so a couple of FTF's was a complete surprize. This has only happen twice in my 14 years of caching, we were in Apollo Bay about to head for Geelong and a new cache was published only a few hundred metres ahead.
We have seen a few of these in our time so it did escape the second look.
Thanks jupiterpearl for this placement.

Suscoe headed out for a day of caching fun in the inner south east of Melbourne with our great mate Bushfire.
Little did we know what this had had in store but a couple of FTF surprises greeted us during the day!
Always a bonus.
We enjoyed a delightful Autumn day with sunshine, a cool temperature, great cache locations and we learned a bit along the way about this area.
Thanks to jupiterpearl for this detour to the swamp.
Lots of soccer folks using the swamp today

Last cache of the day for lochb, G' of GJMMelb and I, we parked close by and headed for GZ, me being a little behind the others as it was my turn to be driver. We soon found that this wasn't the right spot and having two- and four-legged muggles to wait for we headed over to GZ #2 where I spotted a (now) familiar hide and grabbed it. One last trackable shuffle through this cache to add a few more Planetary Pursuit points to our tally and in preparation of my overseas trip we headed for home. TFTC jupiterpearl and an nice little history lesson about the park we'd have otherwise never visited - a favourite point from me for this
Quick-ish find in the company of GJMMelb and quiet1_au. We were watched by a muggle dog (the owner was out of sight). TFTC
So this was a swamp eh- who'd have thought! Spotted the clever hide pretty quickly - I used to have one of these.

An easy find in a dreary day that still had everyone out and about inparks everywhere.
My last day of uni placements (so officially the start of my holidays! Yay! Finally!)
Another for the streak!

A nicely placed cache that blends into the surroundings.
The park is very active with people and dogs.

TFTC! Pretty quick find with mrx2 as not many muggles were in the area this evening. Log book has been incredibly smudged by water damage.
Find #3105. Found @ 22:00
I had dinner out this way, and I needed some extra steps to reach my daily goal, and I was after a cache to keep my streak going. This cache fit the bill nicely.
I arrived on site and navigated to the coordinates that my device indicated, but it was devoid of any significant features. I still had a bit of a look-see, but it was fairly half-hearted. I then stood back and had a scan for a better prospect.
There was a much more likely prospect nearby, and I quickly found the cache using a typical hide format for this kind of thing.
I took a GPSr reading from that location while I signed the log, and I cross-reference checked the coordinates against the satellite maps to see if they seemed more accurate. They appear to be better, so I've included them below.
S 37° 53.626' E 145° 02.946'
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache jupiterpearl.

Parked close but so had 2 muggles. Was glad this was out of view and a stealthy find xould be made. Thanks to jupiterpearl for placing this cache.
This was a fairly straightforward find up until Geodog decided to throw a wobbly when confronted by others of his kind. Alls well that ends well and another smiley graces my map.
I needed a cache for the double calendar challenge and knowing I had a full day planned at the cricket and was unlikely to find time to grab a cache I knew I had to come up with another plan. An odd excuse I realise officer, but that is what led me to be sitting in my car at Lord Reserve at 2 minutes to midnight on the evening of 28th December waiting for the clock to tick over to the 29th. Once midnight sounded I quickly grabbed the cache, having seen a few others like this and headed home to bed. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache jupiterpearl.
OHC needed to get some caches to fulfill a challenge so off we went, walking crutch and all. The new hardware was tested and performed admirably. Had to widen the search a little to be able to locate this sneaky hide. Had quite a bit of trouble with the GPS today. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here.
Stopped by here this morning before visiting family. There were a few walking Muggles and their dogs about, but I was mostly able to search happily. I looked at a few places before returning to what really is the obvious one and eventually made the find of this clever cache, that fits in nicely with its surrounds. I have not seen one exactly like this, so a favourite from me. Thanks jupiterpearl.

There was a function at the nearby cricket club, but I guess cricketers are fairly healthy kind of people, so no one ducked out for a smoke (at least while I was there). Given it was dark, there was no chance of being spotted and the very clever cache was soon located. Love this kind of cache. Thanks for placing it here for us!
Nice quick find on a sunny day. I don't think the nearby cricketers paid me any attention at all. TFTC
This was the second of four finds for the morning, all jupiterpearl hides, and might have proved more tricky had I not encountered this specific container/hide type twice before - for some reason I find this type very satisfying, in a "within plain sight" way.
Had to wait out a couple of muggle dog walkers and a bloke cutting the grass before retrieving. Signed the log, thanks for the cache, jupiterpearl.

Today we found LORD LEMANN'S SWAMP on our travels.
Found just as the cricketer slipped a ball through the wicketkeeper which headed right at where I was retrieving the cache. Quickly nicked out of sight to sign and then the rain started to fall in earnest so all and sundry left the field so I could quickly replace. Never been so grateful for a downpour.
Thanks jupiterpearl for being part of our geocaching fun.

Well lots of cricket players, dogs, children and families enjoying Lord Lemann's swamp on this beautiful sunny Saturday. Miss A quickly made the find once we were certain the cricket players had no chance of spotting the retrieval. TFTC
A late night out and discussing with someone about Geocaching and what I do lead us to going out to find one. This one was close by and after a quick search, the clue lead me to anything that was viable...and sure enough! there is was. I hadn't seen only like this all though I had been looking at them. Logbook signed and replaced back. Much to say they were very excited...but not as esxcited as the dog was when we got back...and guilty!
I'd attempted to find this one on Saturday but I really should've known better by now. Saturday + open parkland/ovals = cricket in spring/summer or footy in autumn/winter. There was absolutely no way to search without being exposed to about a dozen set of eyes at any given time, split between spectators and players.
So I came back today and even then there were a couple of dog walking groups of muggles about. I checked a couple of spots and then spotted the hide as I have one just like it in preparation for a placement of my own.
Good to see another local cacher and even better to see some caches which don't require tens or hundreds of kilometres of driving to find.

Today is the day Pam hosts her quilting group at our house, so this is my cue to find something to do away from home for the afternoon. Naturally things work better if I'm not there to distract the ladies, well that's my version of events anyway. Recently a number of caches have popped up within my 10 km circle, so this afternoon provided a perfect opportunity to go out and find them.
Still found it to be about 9m of GZ.

After dropping off my daughter at tutoring this morning I had a spare 30 minutes so headed over to this new cache.
Parked just down the street a bit and walked towards the cache past the cricket nets where a couple of young guys where getting some coaching. I didn't hang around to get any tips, I just moved on.
Not too busy this morning so after a bit of a look around I spotted something suspicious and it was the cache.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
