Thank you, nice to see a larger cache. Looking forward to encouraging some younger family members to find this one.
Hunted for ages in what I thought was obvious spots according to hint, but either Im totally blind or its been knocked off or removed. Knowing my run rate today, probably the former
First cache of the day after a slow start. An easy find on the nice little park. Great to see such a big cache container after all the micros weve found this trip! TFTC
Continuing from my walk this was my second find this morning.Had my son on my back so I had to maneuver carefully through all the twigs and branches. Made it and signed the log book in one piece. This was my first regular sized cache find in a loooong time (very exciting!!!) Beautiful day for it Thank you!
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.We met a very friendly 3 legged dog on the way to the cache. A nice quick find by UncleSam. Great container.
Day 2 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
Day #2 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend.Nice quick find here and we were then on our way again. Thanks for the cache.
Cool Cache container.Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Have never explored this area so was pleasantly surprised to turn the corner and see a playground. Arrived at GZ and took a little bit for us to figure out where we were going but eventually got it sorted. Cache very quickly found after that. All is well and dry with the cache and the assortment of trades held within. Had a good jack but took nothing and left only our names on the log. Thanks for bringing us here and tftc
Initially found myself looking in the wrong area. Think my gps is offset today. Found as described in the end. Nice and dry. Like the idea of a trackable container.
Found it just lying on the ground so out back where I think it’s supposed to be according to the hint
Good find. Got a little lost on the trails but once we had the right location was easy find.. Tnx 4 the cache.
Yet another dip of my toe into the Te Araroa Trail, another cache associated, which is good. I soon tracked down the host item and spotted the cache and signed in. There was a kids Nerf crossbow also behind the tree, I took it away and left it at the park nearby for someone if they wanted it. Nice to see an ammo can as a container.
Weekend is here, yay, and a desire to get out and about and get a few September finds under my belt. I completed the new Massey Ad Lab series today, and some nearby other caches too. A nice haul of finds, managed to avoid the downpour just before lunch, and was back home working in the garden just after lunch-time, then got drenched again and rain stopped 'play'.

Nicely sized cache lid was a bit stiff thanks for taking us here! Now on to the next!

Lovely for my granddaughter to make her first find! Co ordinates and hint made it fairly straightforward. Thank you
as someone who is barely reaching 5’ i was tempted to give up when i read “head height” but continued looking, i’ll come back in daylight for sure
#10,842. I was up in Levin with Infoferret to attend the events being organised there this weekend by TwigNZ. We had the morning free to do some caches so decided to head up to Palmerston North for a few hours. So after completing the Summerhill Adventure Lab we drove around nearby to locate a few caches. This was one of them. This time we walked down the Te Araroa trail to reach this cache. Had a few choices of tracks and we had to get around an obstacle where the path had slipped away and new wooden steps are being built. At GZ we ducked into the trees and soon I spied the decent sized cache container. Signed the logsheet and placed the container back into the nested position so its was not quite so obvious from the park. Thanks pgcnz for hiding the cache here.
And the last of the ones found in this area - only issue was that they are replacing a bit of damaged track with a stairway - takes a bit of clambering around. Cache all good once we got to the area. TFTC pgcnz. Once back at the car, we celebrated with a bit of a snack, before heading off into Palmie
First cache of my last day of being able to do this for a while, planning on doing all this side of the river. I am 5 weeks away from a bachelor's degree, and starting tomorrow is the final course I need to graduate, and by my beard is it going to get intense. Not too much to report on this one, git a bit scratched up by the trees when I was looking in the wrong place but otherwise didn't have much trouble. Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache!
Sorry for the delay in logging. I’m in the process of finally logging all my old finds.

Headed out after work for a couple d cache to keep a streak going. Nearing the shortest day and getting dark soon after five so not much time to cache in daylight. This cache was nice and big. Thanks for having replaced the log. Looks like the trackables have gone. Thanks
Turn around and notice the right tree.i love this size cache! Log could do with replacing? Getting rather full. Tftc
Out exploring Palmerston North today. Still early morning and nobody about. Thanks for the cache.
Found at 5am, 3 hours before an exam. Sleep is nothing right now. I need answers

Relocated to a new hide nearby. Thanks Phronimos for letting me know and retrieving the container.
I’ve been spending my day off puzzle solving (well actually one puzzle... 6 hours x two of us!). It’s getting late afternoon so I popped down here to have a look at these ones.
GZ has changed somewhat. The hollow tree has split in half and the (large half) containing the geocache is lying down the slope.
I searched the remains for the container... and found it too down the slope lying in the open.
Fortunately being an ammo box, it and the contents are all in good order EXCEPT there are no TBs here.
Signed the log and replaced the box near the fallen fence under the edge of the fallen tree.
This will need the intervention of the CO to relocate to a more appropriate location.
In chunks I’ve walked (quite) a few kms of Te Araroa. Thanks for placing this cache allowing me to add a bit more.

This was the girls first find. They were super excited. This is the start of something new for them.
So good to find a regular size cache, an ammo-can no less! Escaping the desk for an hour, thought it high time I logged a cache or two. Dropped a TB which has been in my possession way too long! Thanks for the smiley today.
All good here on a dog walk from Old West Road to Bledisloe Park and back. Not many around on a calm winter morning.

Because of Covid-19 we are not opening any boxes.... So I can't sign anything within the cache box
A big mission to the Manawatu day today, picking up a variety of cache types for an internet-based challenge.
Having just found the nearby Revival cache, I swung by here to grab this one as it was almost on the way. I took a direct path, eventually reaching GZ (and then spotting the subsequent geotrail). Found the cache easily enough and grabbed the trackables, replacing with one I've had for a while. All good here. TFTC

Ammo box located! It was on the ground several metres away under some bark. All good to go again.
Visited to check on this one. It has gone. I'll replace it with another container at some point, but it won't be an ammo box.
I wasn't planning on finding this cache but I was walking the loop track after completing the [Te Araroa Trail - Springdale Gully](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5WBXJ?luid=13cbbd40-bcd1-46ce-9b48-03d5f5ae7f29) cache and noticed this cache was only 50m from where I was at the top of the loop so I happily detoured off the loop to grab this one.
The cache was exposed as I could see it when I was ~10m from GZ so after signing duties were done I re-hid the cache much better.

TFTC, having walked a few parts of the Te Araroa Trail, it was nice to find. A few muggles using the nearby playground. Cache quickly found, logged and replaced as found. Dropped off 3 TB.
TFTC, nice hiding spot, grabbing a number of caches today in palmy trying to tick off as many new ones as possible as I have not been here in a number of years when I had logged 99%of all caches in the city, found with MAKESHlFT
I've been coming up to Palmy on a regular basis for a while now, but I've not really spent much time looking for caches on the south side of the river, so I figured I would do something about that this weekend.
I wasn't sure how busy this area would be on a Saturday morning, but it was pretty much free of Muggles so I was able to have a free reign in searching for caches. A quick and easy walk to GZ from where I had parked the car, and due to the great Hint the cache was a quick find.
Nice to see these larger containers instead of a mint tin. Everything with the cache is exactly how you'd expect it to be. Found a TB inside which I took, before signing the log and returning it all exactly as found and heading back to the car.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

I found this cache some time ago as part of Die Cachefinder. At that time, this account was sadly not active, which is why I am now re-logging. I have made so many great caches in all the years. Many thanks to the owners whose caches I was allow to make in the last few years! They have accompanied many beautiful excursions and given me a lot of pleasure I found this cache on my trip through New Zealand. For two months I was able to travel through this beautiful country and came across many beautiful places.
Apparently there were 2 trackable in the cache could only find 1 (GS8A5H) tftc
Another dot day ticked off. In great order. A favourite point for this type of container. Tftc.
# 1197 Having walked half of the TA myself, caches with Te Araroa in the title automatically attract my attention. I was nearby yesterday performing maintenance on JimmyNZs valley walk revival when i saw this one nearby, I think it must have appeared in the time I have been away from the area. I waited until today to check it out. I only had my phone but used my senses and the clear geotrail amongst the ivy to get me there. The lighter colouring of an area inside the tree hollow made it look as though the hide was illuminated or glowing!
Just love ammo tins! Always makes me so happy to find one. This one is perfect inside, the only thing is the log sheet is a little tatty and probably won't hold up.much longer.
Thanks pgcnz for this generous sized cache, wish I had dangerSAM with me to fully enjoy the treasure chest!

I had just taken part in a parkrun and decided to look for a few caches before brunch. This was the nearest and I enjoyed the walk along the scenic route to the nicely hidden treasure. The lid wasn't correctly connected to the rest of the container but I soon sorted that out. I dropped off the Lackey Tag trackable that I had found in Upper Hutt.
No problems locating this cache, thanks to tips from reading previous logs. Nice to see such a large container! TFTC pgcnz.
found on an after-dinner dot-day run with the sprogs.
Last night I found "Revival of the Valley Walks #1" and saw the playground, and knew I had to bring the youngin's here.
Tonight was the night when they got to have a play
Quick find with EtherGirl. Good to see a Large size cache
She commented about the size of the logbook given the size of the container, which I thought was a little odd as well.

A quick trip out this way to deliver something to a friend up this way so as i needed a cache or 2 for today it seemed an ideal time to locate these two nearby caches.
this one i made so much harder for my self.. first went off down the track Wrong! and then attacked it from the difficult angle and found the treasure but certainly came out the easier quicker way. it was great to see a larger sized container for a change.
thank you for this cache and this good sized container and the smiley face.
worth a fav point from me.
