Owners of the land approached me today as I was about to enter the open gate to look for cache. They would like the cache removed as they don't really want people walking around on their property...
We couldn't place this one today. We climbed the fence, noting the lack of private property signs - the road looks to lead to a sporting field?? We walked in circles, as it looks like a lot have, but had no luck. When we read we were looking for a saturated cache, we stopped looking and headed off....
Made the trip out to this one through curiosity. Cache was discovered quickly. Very nice!
When the cache was opened it was completely waterlogged and the zip bag full of brown water. Blown away that the extra bag inside was keeping the log book itself dry! Hope it stays that way.
Everything sealed up well and secured before leaving.

I think this was the first cache of the day of Geocaching in the awesome Blue Mountains. For the team, Geo-Buddies, Mystic Seer, StokesyWA and myself, we were definitely not disappointed. We really knew we had a search on our hands with this hide, with all the 'usual places' searched in the first 30mins. The expanding perimeter search......
It was only by chance that something, just didn't look quite right, when we discovered the hiding spot. A very well done, BZ, to the CO for this hide. Geo-rabbit definitely wasn't not going into that water logged hole to get his fur wet just to retrieve the Log. The Log was soaked, lit. water logged. Dried out the container as good as I could, then replaced with a new Log Book, with two, an inner and outer zip-loc plastic bags. TFTH TFTC Signed replaced, new log book. Cache replaced for next Geo - Big Kids.

After walking around for a while with my geobuddies we eventuallyfound it. What a great hiding spot. The log was soaked and has been replaced. tftc tftf
Found while visiting the Blue Mountains on a day trip with geobuddies StokesyWa and Chippyddd after literally thinking outside the box. Room for small swaps or drops. SL TFTH TFTC Cache replaced as found ready for the next adventurer. Cache is waterlogged and maintenance job logged. Cache on.
Even though technicaly gate isnt paddlocked i still eentered but it did feel like i was trespassing even though there r no signs saying so
Awesome cache - appears to now be in private property as fence newly erected. Log absolutely soaked - please see photo - did not sign. Kids loved the find. Hopefully this cache can be relocated so everyone can continue searching for it! TFTC
The area is closed off now on what appears to be private property with a 'Keep Out' signage and a fence..
Found tyftc. Spending a day driving this trail after 3 days of state tennis tourn. Mother nature is just beautiful. Trying to beat a local geo to 1500 finds before dec 31.
A really great cache container but it could do with some maintenance. Contents were all soggy and swag rusty and if it was in better nick it would be worth a favourite point. We cleaned it up as best we could.
An oddly quiet part of the world, one where there’s not much traffic on a weekend and you wonder what sort of industry happens around this area. There’s a park nearby with a couple of small football goals but doesn’t look like a regular park...it definitely felt a little spooky/eerie! The cache itself is quite ingenious but it was flooded and the contents were ruined. I decided to remove the damaged items and we replaced the log.
Found after a visit to the nearby dog park on a cold, winter's SNOWY day in Katoomba!
Log is wet and may need drying out when CO gets an opportunity. TFTC.

!!! A++ for effort! This hide is incredible. Truly incredible. Found on the Sunday cache drive.
Love the inventiveness of this cache. Forget systemas, let alone eclipse containers, this is what real gc is all about. Very happy to find this cache. Children were very excited. Favourite point awarded
Tftc. What a fabulous hide. Had us stumped for a while, but Giggles kicked it and heard the thunk.
The situation is still the same as marj01 reports. However, no-one was about , so we laid hands on the prize - container is awesome, although there's some water about, affecting the log. A fav from us. Tftc!
Quick park and grab
Log is saturated and within a restricted area
Thanks for the cache

TFTC - Quite surprised at how easily we found it, but I guess accidentally kicking it may not warrant a congratulations...
Awesome cache this could definitely take awhile to find thankful it only took about 10mins . TFTC
A long walk from Katoomba station, I have to admit to cache blindness at GZ and after the walk getting here I did what I never do and Phoned A Friend, in this case pjmpjm and he kindly gave me a hint and lo and behold I found it
Thanks for the cache, great way to hide a cache.
Thanks for the cache, great way to hide a cache.
I enjoyed looking for this one but the cache is so wet. Needs a bit of maintenance.

Really well constructed cache, one of the best I've seen. But no favourite point from me, as the hiding style is against placement rules.
Outer container has some water in it, so might need a CO visit to drain. Inner container fine at moment.
Thanks

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Clever.
What a great cache. I can't believe that anyone would criticise this. Well disguised, but in plain sight. It deserves a favourite point. TFTC
Well done!
Haven't seen such an interesting and clever cache for a year or two!
Will leave a favourite point when I earn another one.
My only concern might be that the 'inner' cache isn't really waterproof. But of course it's well protected.
TNLNSL.
Thanks very much to 11216 for another upper Blue Mountains cache!

Oldmorty and I wanded round and round trying to locate this cache. I knew I was looking for a well camouflaged cache, and it's great. Love it. Favourite point allocated. TFTC 111216
Parked close to GZ and walked up the track to the cache which frazeydaze had in her sights within a few minutes. I believe this cache is one of the best constructed that I've seen to date, definitely a handyman at work here. TFTC 111216.
I was up the mountains with Tronador, Deloro and Bonfire7 for a trip through fortress canyon, but Deloro and i were a bit early so we stopped for a couple of caches on the way in.
This one had fooled us for a while.
Well done.

Honestly didn't that this one would be anything special but was very impressed!
A favourite for this beautifully made cache.

This was the second of only two caches I found while with the WaywardWoman this morning. A rather well constructed hide, although technically not within the guidelines. And a pleasant spot away from houses to do the business. Thanks
Streak Day #1555 - Out with dave8153 for a quick find to keep our streaks alive. TFTC
A quick and easy find for Snoopy1976 and I today. A very well constructed cache. TFTC
#4346- Working at Katoomba today, I took the opportunity to take a close detour and look for this one. I missed it on the first few sweeps, but something in a previous log twigged me, and as I was speaking to a paf I spotted it. Thanks
On way home from doing shift at RSPCA shelter nearby decided on spur of moment to find cache. I headed in wrong way & got a nasty gash on leg through my jeans. Bit clumsy today. Once on right path easy find. Screw coming loose & I didn't mean in my head. Maybe it is. Needs an anchor to hold it in place. Anyway TFTC
I too admire the work gone into this one. Not completely sure what TC is concerned about. We thought that it might technically be 'buried' but that's all. We liked it. TFTC
A quick detour to finish off the long weekend trip home.
Sadly, while I admire the work gone into this cache, it is not within the guidelines.
