Find # 14470Out on a big drive, picking up odd caches in out of the way places, driving in some awesome bush areas and the odd walk to keep the legs moving. From home, it was then Bendigo, Toolleen, Heathcote, Lancefield, Baynton, Redesdale, Sedgwick, Mandurang (centre of Vic) then Kangaroo Flat for Munchies before making my way back Home. 27 physical and 1 complete Ad Lab for the day to keep the numbers moving. Most caches were relative logical finds but later in the day I got a couple of tougher hides that chewed up the daylight. Wow never knew there was a Mount Lofty in Victoria. Seeing this one on the map I had to go for it.Cache was a quick find, nice n logical.TFTC kazba16
Stopped for a short detour on my way north. Nice reserve for a walk, if I had the time to roam around.
In Bendigo for the weekend for a freinds 50th birthday so it gave us a chance to get and about exploring the local area to knock of some caches.
Nice easy find but unfortunately it was late in the day and didn't get to go walking around the area, somewhere we will need to come back to Tftc

Back in Bendigo with Rebel Acts for a few days of caching fun, It's great to see so many new caches around town.
The weather wasn't the kindest ,sun was absolutely baking but still had a great day of caching.
Cheers for the cache.

I had been thinking about a trip to Bendigo for over a month so that I could find My centroid cache and with an event in town this weekend plans were made to do a few days caching with My good mate Omegaman1971.There are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
This is one of the caches found today.
Thanks kazba16 for the cache

Day 2 of my little adventure in the Goldfields today, with a good chunk of Castlemaine completed I knew I would set my sights on Bendigo today. With myself holding an event in town today as well also helped in dragging myself out there. But regardless I couldn't have picked a better day for it all in all weather wise. And regardless, thanks for the cache and for being part of the adventure!

I'd heard there were mtb tracks near Redesdale but I had no idea where. Now I know!! Many thanks

Found after having lunch in Heathcote. I made a quick find and the cache is in good shape. TFTC.
Chook was travelling to Mia Mia today to play journo at a horse endurance ride there. Our geocaching addiction dictates that one cannot waste fuel by driving past caches While she couldn't get them all, she did choose a handful to find, and this was one of them.
Lovely location and a nice quick find. TFTC kazba16

A day to myself meant a Geocaching drive picking up some golden oldies and random caches along the way. Many thanks for the cache- nice easy find.
What's this !!
There's another Mt Lofty in Oz !! [:o]
Are the darn Mexicans trying to steal another South Australian icon !!
There's only one, true Mt Lofty in Oz.
It soars above the citadel of Adelaide
Topped with a thorny crown of TV towers,
it dominates the city scape
I detoured out to this so called 'lofty' spot today anyway
Hey there was a cache to find
A quick 'n' easy drive by really
No twists and turns on the road to this summit.

After a great week away camping it’s time to return home. Taking a slight detour via Kyneton to grab a few needed caches.
Local farmer doing some fencing repairs nearby. Was able to sneak by and grab this one without any attention.
Thanks kazba16 for the cache.

Easy find.
Nice red GT parked here.
I dunno if I'd take my sports car down a dirt road into the bush, but then again I don't own one.

I've decided to take a weekend off from home schooling the grandkids and do a little trip to Romsey, why not grab a few on my way. All masked and this is my first for the day. Tftc.
Once again the ‘better half’ of Team Ladava spotted the prize. (Now I know why I married her 50 years ago.)
A very pleasant bushland area. There was a vehicle parked nearby with a couple having a picnic. We went on to make the find then went over to them to establish if they too were cachers and when they weren’t, we explained what we were doing to address their curiosity.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.

We were surprised that there were so few caches in this area. It is definitely a place that we would like to return to and have a better look around. So many tracks, so little time. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.

After testing my luck with a convertible on these tracks I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else haha. But I found it quite easy which is good because it's about to get dark... Thank you everything is in good order and dry
Left home of Wodonga to Kyneton to attend a show at Redesdale where my sister is a member of the Redesdale Revellers.
A great opportunity to spend time with my 3 siblings and grab some caches over the weekend. A total of 30 actually. No DNF's and all caches were either in good to fair condition with nothing to report otherwise. I had a wonderful time solo on unfamiliar backroads, history lessons, and places of interest. THANKS to all cache owners on their effort in cache placement and maintenance. Met and thanked your Sister Kaz.

I had a job interview in Ballarat and so Rex and I headed off for a 3 day trip which gave us the chance to spend some time in the bush around Bendigo on the way Harry gets into some amazing places and a couple of motorbike riders couldn't believe their eyes when they saw us
I didn't get the job (although now I have a much nicer one![^]) and we did get to cache some great spots and views! [^]
I got to see Kryal Castle (well the outside at least) which I had visited about 34 years ago when my daughter was only 2 years old , I saw the fog and cloud from Mt Warrenheip as we cached in drizzly rain , I found what I thought might have been a puzzle cache GZ but it sure wasn't [xx(][xx(] although it was a plastic container in a hole in a tree [xx(] and on the way home, we had memories of Adelaide as we found a cache in the Mount Lofty Reserve
All up we DNFd 3 caches and we found 34 caches.
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby
I love the bush sights in Victoria [^] and the history and stories of the determination of the pioneers. [^]

Along with many like minded geocachers, we braved the wet and windy winter weather of International Geocaching Day to add a few more smiley tokens to our geo-map.
Heading home after a day around Bendigo, we paused here for the last of the afternoon.
Satellites today had our GZ 10 metres East of where we found the cache.
Thanks to 'kazba16' for the hunt and cache placement

Suscoe was heading homewards today from Bendigo via some caches we wanted to visit between the Calder and the McIvor / Northern Highways as well as a stop in Melbourne to sort out a virtual that we had been interested in.
So it was an early start to proceedings and thankfully a mild morning to head off in.
We saw some wonderful countryside around the east of Bendigo, the Lake Eppalock region, Redesdale, The Mount Macedon area and down the way to Sunbury and finally the laneways and arcades of the Big Smoke.
Thanks to kazba16 for this hide, a nice quick find for us.
We had been listening to the ABC on the way here, they were talking about the injuries that kids inflict accidentally on their parents, quite funny at times and also quite painful too.

We are out from Bendigo checking the route for a walk. Thought I wonder if there are any caches here. Yes only 50 metres from where we parked!
Despite the overcast weather this was a great day to go out paddling with Jacko and OzHockeyChick.
We started at 10am and covered 8km criss-crossing Lake Eppalock. By lunchtime we were off the water and caching in the surrounding areas well into the afternoon .
Finished the day's caching here, with a leisurely bush drive in the low-key reserve and an easy find at the well-isolated GZ.
Thanks, kazba16.

Now here's a spot that could use some caches...although where is the mount? and the lofty part? A nice cruisey drive in however Thanks for placing.

This completes the "Kazba16 Redesdale" Series for me. Enjoyable morning caching in the area with Claybol. TFTC Kazba16.
Find #1535 for me. Found with virbull on a Sunday morning visit to Redesdale to grab the new caches hidden here. We spotted the hiding place for this one while we were still about 30m away and a quick investigation revealed a nice large container. This cache completed our morning's adventures and I was also happy to add 4 more caches to what was an empty calendar day for me as a bonus. Thanks for bringing us back to Redesdale this morning Karen and thanks for the cache!
The last of 4 caches for us this morning before retiring to the pub for lunch.
First time to this reserve

I am having a morning away from the VCE exam pressured teenager and getting some sunshine. What a delight to see an echidna in the wild and be able to stop long enough for him to settle, pop his head up and look right at me. Just what the doctor ordered! Thank you!!
Nice bit of bush in the late afternoon light.
