Road tripped to Adelaide for the Leap Day Mega and am now wending my way home to Queensland caching along the way. As soon as I pulled into town I knew I'd been here before. Went and did the letterbox(new since last visit) The Ode and then this one, both I'd been to before. I had signed this one on the 4/5/2 when I took a chance and did that lightning trip down for the third geotour launch event. I'll log it today as it makes life simpler and I signed it again. During the worst of the pandemic too much air time was given to the anti-vaxxers. Before screaming about microchips, 5G, autism, big pharma and other nonsense they should have been walked around some of these older cemeteries. Three of the main reasons so few of our kids these days end up in cemeteries is because of antibiotics, paracetamol and vaccination!Leaving a favourite point for another good cemetery multi.TFTC

The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave us a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown us so many new and interesting places as weve chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached together and sometimes alone but always had a great time. For a few days we have based ourselves in Avoca to explore the goldfields area, attend some events, climb some hills, visit out of the way places and learn some history. After gathering our numbers as we wandered through, we sought confirmation of our calculated GZ from a PAF as the cemetery had a number of visitors at the time of our search. We decided it was better to return later to seek the cache so as not to bring attention to it. We were correct in our assumption of where the cache would be but it took a number of tries before we discovered it.Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.

On a caching trip with Sol de Lune today. We had successfully collected all the caches on our list so on the way home Sol De Lune stopped at a few caches that I had yet to find.Cemetery caches are some of my favourite caches to find and learn about so this multi was thoroughly enjoyed.Once at the gz, the cache was found and I excitedly exclaimed that Id found a geocoin, only to realise the person who had originally placed it there was in fact Sol de Lune TB retrieved. Thanks for this fantastic multi

A day trip to Redbank along the back road and side roads, but now back in Avoca and time to give this multi, that I've driven past a few times, a go. Walked around the area, finding the required info and then plotting GZ. Once at GZ, the cache was found in the second place I looked, so all was good. Log was signed, cache replaced and I was on my way again. Thanks for this old one maccamob...some interesting stories in there. Always good places to visits. TB dropped.

Very sad to see so many young deaths. Was very fun however locating this one. TFTC

We set off to solve this one as we love cemetery caches. Well, all I can say is how much trouble can a pair of cachers have solving aa simple multi? Lots! An hour hiking around the cemetery and two phone a friend helps and we still had the coordinates wrong. Finally the caching brain kicked in and we got our selves sorted. Still enjoyed ourselves and the pretty weeds! Tftc and the adventure.

12023 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1240. We had tried to get the numbers this morning with little success, Emailed the CO for some help. As soon as we had that help we knew what we had done wrong. Made the correction and soon had the container in hand, SL Tnx maccamob for both another great multi and the help. A FP from us.

Ok, getting your 8’s and 9’s around the right way is important. ??. It made such the difference.

Thanks so much for the message reply. Glad I wasn’t the only one still up at 2am. Ha.

Cache found in a much more sensible spot tucked away nicely.

We have been converted to seeking out your cemetery hides. Never fails to entertain us.
Some amazing stories in there.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 12: Start to head home. Surprised

Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way home from a Mega event. Wink We made a detour via Geelong to drop off Bushfire yesterday. That done today we headed to Ballarat where we still had two more Geotour caches to find. [^] Again we spent the day juggling phone and GPS to do many Labs caches and any other caches we were passing with our next overnight digs in St. Arnaud. Big Grin Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs. Cool

Took way longer than it should but soon spotted the hide. Smile

***Thanks maccamob for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Whittlesea Event trip. Day 12. Caching today with brisal5.

Stopped by today and looked in all the wrong places first before brisal5 found the right spot.

I found your D2.0/T2.0 Small Multi-Cache called A Mother's Hand at 15:37 on 25 November 2022. It was find #16595 for me. Thank you maccamob for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.

After spending the night camping with Mr Dromaniax at their block in Moonambel we headed to Avoca this morning for breakfast before heading back to Moonambel to pack up camp.
That had us in a perfect location to grab this very old Multi. What a surprise to find a maccamob cache in a cemetery Wink.
WP5 shows some real dedication but who wouldn't do everything for their kids.

Thank you maccamob for this multi

After packing up camp in StArnaud we hit the road heading for Avoca on a detour way home.
This one had us confused and only after double checking our figures and the alphabet did it all make sense. No it wasn’t in the middle of the sheep‘s paddock

Being thrown off by not being able to read when I wrote down the information before we started our tour of the cemetery our final Coordinates seemed a bit off. Thankfully K9team cam read and we managed to fix our mistake and make a quick find with Coordinates that made sense.

Thanks for bringing us to this cemetery gave us a chance to stretch our legs and pick up another cache close by.

Riding our motorcycle and sidecar over Easter and visiting both Avoca and Maryborough. A couple of days in each and some caches to take us around the area. Apologies for the late log. TFTC maccabob and for your continued maintenance of it..
Nice hide in a wonderful area. Spent a lot of time amongst the dead and their history. But, made the find, finally.

Love this multi cache. Have visited here many times. An easy find once you find all the clues. Lots of room for swaps. It is quite wet here at the moment. Watch where you walk

Found as I headed home on the fourth and final day of a somewhat impromptu solo caching and camping trip to Victoria from Adelaide

I had planned to spend a week travelling, caching and camping along the Great Ocean Road, but my travelling companion had to postpone it due to other commitments. I was still keen to go away somewhere this week as well, so decided to head to the western part of the state on my own.

I created a bit of a 'menu' of specific caches of interest in the broad area that I might be in before I left home and just pottered along fairly casually, taking in the sights and grabbing what I could along the way.

Thanks maccamob for the cache.

I’m always a bit of a sucker for a cemetery cache and when I noticed the placement date and CO I was in. The roses were in perfect condition despite the wind storms experienced around Melbourne last week. We got extremely wet doing the cache in the rain and decided we earned a coffee and treat from the bakery to thaw out.
Thanks so much for your cache. Despite the rain we loved the walk around this lovely cemetery.

All worked out a few weeks ago now, but three separate visits had to happen before the coast was clear to go fossicking around. Glad to finally tick the box on this one. Beautiful cemetery with some very jnteresting history.

What a well set out and concise multi. Some of the headstones reflected such a sad state of affairs. Makes you appreciate the good times we live in. Thank you maccamob for bringing us here, and making us reflect on our lives, and how lucky we are. I am the luckiest girl in the world for discovering geocaching, and most of all, meeting dalerious and his loving family.

22-May-21
Travelled out to Avoca to join in the celebration events and explore an area I’ve not been to before.

We were on our way back to Avoca for dinner and I needed one more multi to complete 6 for the day and complete a challenge I was working on, so with a trad nearby, the cemetery was it. The sun had set and dark quickly set upon the area. We set about reading the sad stories of the noted gravesites and collected the necessary details. How horrible to have lost so many children all at once to a terrible disease. It helps to put covid into context.

With a set of coordinates calculated, we set off and soon made the find, without needing to be discreet thanks to the cover of darkness.

With the log signed it was time to leave these souls to rest and set off to fill out bellies with local nourishment.

Thanks maccamob for a wonderful multi.

22-May-21
I have been to this location before and started this multi, then today I finished it in the company of the lovely micaparamedic. Oh Mary, you really do have a knack of bringing these historical stories to life.

I really enjoy wandering through cemeteries, such a lot of history, sadness, and also celebrations of life. Today a burial was about to occur so we took that as our sign to take off.

Thank you so much maccamob.

After attending the nearby event, catnap777 and I piled into the old man's XTrail along with Cybergran V to tour the Pyrenees and rob it of as many hidden treasures as we could. Cool
It wasn't long before we were headed out towards the dead centre of Avoca aiming for both the nearby mystery and this very old maccamob multi. [^]

I didn't like this one maccamob. Twisted
You made me cry. Red Face
Surrounded by loving family, it made me consider our own mortality and how devistated I would be to loose any one of them. Sad
I bags going first. Razz

My #1 target cache for the day, continuing my quest to find caches on my list of the 500 Oldest Active Vic Caches.
What an interesting multi to work through (and lucky I had Mrs P with me for her thorough checking of the answers!) and thx to Maccamob for their research into putting this one together. What a tough life some of our forebears had, certainly makes us appreciate what we have today. One of the better cemetery multis I've done, a FP from me.

22-May-21
A pleasant morning for Catnap777, dalerious and I to wander the area obtaining the required information to enable us to log this historic maccamob cache.
So sad to see some of the headstones of young souls departed far too early.
Our journey of discovery was interrupted by the arrival of a funeral entourage so we made a hasty retreat.
Our names have been added to the log, with our thanks to maccamob for this cache, and another favourite point added.

Found by Rebel Acts

With two Events in Avoca, I decided a three day trip would be great, That would give Me time to explore the area and do a handful of the many caches on offer in this region. The weather was fantastic with nice sunny days but the nights sure were chilly with ice on the windscreen each morning. I saw many places and learnt a lot of history on the trip. The Main towns I visited were Avoca, Maryborough, Talbot, Clunes and Creswick.

With a few hours to spare before the 09:00 event i headed out to do a few caches and the new lab, it was a rather chilly start with the car saying -1°.

This was one of the caches I found in My travels. I always love caches in these places, so much history in just a few words.

Thanks maccamob for the cache.

Amazing cemetery multi. I love roaming cemeteries and seeing all the history and a well done multi only makes it better .

16-May-21
Took us longer than it should have!!!
When the co ords took us out to private property we rechecked the figures 3 times. Still not making sense we revisited all the WPs.
Still not making sense there was a loud shout out to the CO.

On checking these out it still seemed impossible until Mrs Riddell realised that at stage 3 there wasn’t a letter L, which is what Mrs Riddell included.

After this correction it was a simple find.
TFTC and David to the rescue, yet again.

I couldn't go past an old Maccamob cache after heading home from a few days up in the Mallee. Sun wasn't beating down, which made this cache easy work. Phone battery was dying however so no time to wander, eventually found GZ. A FP from me for the effort gone into this.

We find cemetery cases fascinating. The amount of history in a typical country cemetery is immense. The Avoca Cemetery dates back to the Gold Rush. The tour around the cemetery made us want to head back and spend some time having a wander around and looking through the history. It was a lovely morning to be out and about, and once we had all the information, we made our calculations. They didn't look right, so we sat down and redid the calculations; they looked right; they were nearby and not in the middle of a dam. We found the cache and signed the log. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you, maccamob, for this cache.

This is an old cache and the older the better as far as I think.
I have always known that Mary is fond of Cemetery's and this your ninth cache is a beauty.
There are sad stories abounding.
All went well on my tour this morning. I am Mildura bound via Donald tonight so plenty of time for good caching.
Many thanks Maccamob. A fav point.

Heading up north for the day, in the hope of a bit of winter sun. Stopped off for this very interesting wander thru some of Avoca's history, and some of it is quite tragic. Many thanks maccamob for this wonderful little multi.

kenare, Sean.75 and I headed up this way for a day of caching. Our plan was to head into the ranges and have a picnic somewhere that Sean.75 had said looks good. We left home at 9am, stopped in Beaufort, because we can never drive through there without stopping at the bakery, then headed through Avoca and then up, down, up, down, around, up, down, around a bit more and then here, there and every where and even managing to go underground!! tftc

21-Jun-20
Today was planned for a drive to the Pyrenees and have a picnic lunch at Governor Rock lookout.
On our way we had to stop here and try and solve this multi. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this one with all the history, and the unfortunately sad deaths. Thanks for placing. Cigc. Tftc

28-Mar-20
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Although exercise is ok, beaches, parks etc are gradually being closed, and we are being asked to stay home. The virus can be transmitted by surface contact, so please don't take the chances. Geocaching is a game, and we are dealing with a serious Public Health issue, so we need to get our priorities in order. Please stay at home!
We believe the responsible thing is to disable all our caches, until this crisis passes.
Thanks.

We didn’t make time to do this multi on our way through Avoca on Friday, but today was a different matter, as we made our way home from Ararat to Wangaratta. We couldn’t miss out on a chance to do a 2002 cache by maccamob and in a Cemetery. What a wealth of local and social history is to be found here. We carefully collected the information needed whilst appreciating the detail provided by the CO. SL at 12.12pm Left: coin - (because it is always good to pay the ferryman.) #6914 TFTC maccamob

We love cemetery caches so knew this was a must on the way to the mega. We gathered the clues but something was a bit off so after scrambling around in the wrong place for a while we knew we needed to get a hint or a double check before coming back. Thankfully we got that and were able to come back on our way home and finish it off. Such a sad story attached to this but thank you maccamob for bringing us here for this cache.

17-Nov-19
Two of my loves are geocaching and family history so I find it very hard to pass by any cemetery without stopping. I was told that this was a particularly good cache so was eager to complete it a few days ago on my way to the St Arnaud Event.
Unfortunately I misread one of the waypoints and then spent a long time looking in the wrong place with a few other geocachers who had made the same mistake.
Luckily I was able to check with the CO later that day and my mistake was identified.
This afternoon, on my way home from the very enjoyable weekend, I was able to stop and finish this cache my locating and signing the log.

Thank you very much to maccamob for providing this cache to remind us about the difficult and sad life experienced by those families who chose to follow their dreams to the goldfields and settle in this area.

17-Nov-19
After trying to find this one two days ago on the way to the MEGA and failing, we knew we needed to get a hint or a double check before coming back. Thankfully we got that and were able to come back today and finish it off.
A very sad story attached to this but one I am glad I now know. That’s the true meaning of love for your child.
Thank-you for bringing us here for this cache.

16-Nov-19
Wish we had not had to rush this one but on way back from mega to Ballarat and darkness is settling in. TFTC

16-Nov-19
I love these caches, they show us so much history of an area. TFTC fav point from me.

15-Nov-19
Having noticed this cache come up in a Facebook post, we had it bookmarked for one of our stops on our way to the Mega. Fascinating history and quite sad as we wandered around the graves, collecting clues. I was on note taking, Steve on directions to the waypoints which worked well until he missed one and we were answering the question for the wrong grave. With that sorted out, we eventually made our way to GZ, signed the log and replaced as found.

Loved this cache maccamob. A very heartfelt experience. Thank you and a favourite from us.

14-Nov-19
Cannot go past an early Maccamob cache... you just can't!!
Had a wander around, albeit sad to see many die so young back in the hard day's!
Made a slight error, which left me searching for a bit, in a logical but wrong location not far from actual GZ.
Fixed the error and soon had the cache in hand.

Thanks for bringing me here, and see you soon! ??

Staying in Avoca while the mega is on and collecting caches either on the way or coming back from St Arnaud. Collected the necessary information but needed some CO help - our fault - and soon had the log signed. Interesting information about the mother and the headstone. Thanks maccamob and a FP given.

14-Nov-19
Really enjoyed doing this geocache. It was a delight, (though sad), to gather the required information but ever so interesting. Definitely happy to award a favourite point here for this cache as it was so good to do. We did make a calculation error that held us up a little but rechecking enabled us to find the right GZ and the cache.
Cheers and happy caching!

14-Nov-19
This was our first cache of the day after leaving Avoca, where we are staying. joojoo57, Aussie Liahona and I set out to find the required information. Information was collated , however an error in one of the required info (out by 1), which made a big difference. Finally we worked our way t the correct GZ and started looking and in no time found. Log signed and cache placed back where found. Giving a FP for the enjoyment of gathering the info and putting it all together. TFTC maccamob.

When making some rough plans for our weeks stay in St Arnaud, Geoturtle had mentioned that she really wanted to spend a day exploring this area. She likes looking for the old caches and the chance to practice her 4x4 driving.
At a bit of a chat last night, others mentioned that they would like to also have a look around the area so we ended up with 6 Victorians, 2 Canadians and 3 Vehicles.
We left St Arnaud at about half eight and were on our way after fueling up.
Avoca was our first stop as the bakery there has some awesome combinations and our overseas visitors had never heard of, nor tasted a snot block.
With taste testing over, we were on our way.
We had a good day with great company. Many laughs were had, caches were found and some great views and driving fun was had.
As it was getting dark and we could see rain heading our way, we chose to leave the hills behind and come back another day to complete what we didn't get to this time.
Avoca was again a place for nourishment, both food and beverage. After everyone had had a good feed, we stopped in at the Chinese Gardens and the cemetery for that "just one more" cache.
Thank you to all the CO's that made this possible. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day and we will definitely be back to look around some more.

13-Nov-19
Before leaving Melbourne, we discussed the caches that we wanted to target with OHC and I mentioned that the ones in this area were definitely on my "to do list". Quite a few of them have CO's that we know, they are old caches and we have heard a lot about them.
We had today free so with a few more friends (and two more cars), we headed to Avoca to visit the bakery after re-fuelling in St Arnaud.
Once we had finished our snacks, and introduced our Canadian passengers to the delights of "snot blocks", we were on our way into the bush.
We had a great time exploring the tracks and locating caches. There was only one road that we chose to not attempt but there were more than enough other tracks to get us where we needed to be.
We saw some great views and explored a mine shaft or two. We eventually found our way to civilisation and found a few more caches.
We watched the sky darken quite quickly and it was decided that we would make our way back to Avoca for some dinner and come back another day.
I believe we all enjoyed our dinner and we made our way to the cache at the Chinese Garden and then onto the multi at the cemetery. By the time we got to the cemetery, it was dark and drizzling which definitely added to the atmosphere of caching in a cemetery at night.
From here, we re-inflated our tyres and made our way back to camp at St Arnaud.
Many thanks to all the CO's that placed, maintain and adopted these great caches. We are looking forward to coming back here and doing the caches that we didn't have time for today.
Again, to all the CO's and today's company, Thank You for a great day out.

Find number 7702 at 8:50:08 pm
Out on a geocaching trek with seven others in 3 vehicles to conquer a few geocaches in the Pyrenees State Forest. Chasing some old caches and also some different D/T combinations.
After fueling up we departing St Arnaud at 8:30 in the morning in convoy and headed direct to the pies shop in Avoca where Kangaroo Pies and Snot Blocks were on the agenda for our international guests. We reached our first cache at 10:45 for a quick find, the start of 24 in total for the day. There was some easy driving tracks, a few missed or incorrect turns, some fairly heavy 4x4 tracks and many interesting places were discovered.
By the time we arrived back in Avoca at 6:30 pm for a counter meal at the pub most were weary and needed a meal and beer.
Somewhat revived we headed to the Chinese Garden and the local Cemetery for a couple of quick caches on the way back to St Arnaud, arriving at 9:30 pm.
Thanks everyone for a fun day!
All caches were quick finds by one or another of the group.
Spooky find after dark with some assistance from the CO, enjoyed the story but will have to look at our maths tomorrow to see where we went wrong.
**Thanks for placing this cache maccamob**

Staying in St Arnaud for the week for the mega.
Today we set off for a 4WD day trip to explore this area.
This was a must-do maccamob cache. Ran around collecting the info as it began getting dark. Resorted to contacting CO for confirmation of calculations. Soon found after that.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing and maintaining this cache, maccamob

*29 Sep 2019, Found @ 4:07 pm, Find # 9997.*

Day 3 of the St.Arnaud pre Mega road trip on this long weekend with biggles1024.
We were now heading for home but time was allowed to make some sight detours and stop along the way to make more finds, this was one of them.

An old maccamob cache, how could we say no to that, so off we went on a tour of another cemetery which can be very interesting places.
We gathered the info, calculated our GZ, then went to check it out, a short time later we were signing the log.

**Thanks to maccamob for placing this cache.**

**Multi Cache Find #354**

We were now making our way out of town and towards our respective homes, but there was still time for more caches. It had been a long, tiring but immensely enjoyable weekend and I was keen to get home, but we couldn't pass up and old cache like this one and as an added bonus, its a maccamob cache. Smile
We made our way around the cemetery, gathering the required information as we went. The inscriptions on the headstones told the story of some real tragedies that had occurred in the past. With GZ calculated, we made our way there. I went one side, Steve went the other and Steve found the cache.

I had done all of the research on this one long ago when visiting the grave of a close friend (who would really love geocaching if he was still alive). I had left the find for another day. That day turned out to be today!! After a wonderful day in St Arnaud, it was lovely to finish off with a multi to add to my tally. Thanks maccamob.

Great spot and some really sad history. Losing 6 children in that time. Thanks for bringing us here. Had no pencil so couldn’t sign. TTFC

A nice walk through the cemetary at sunset and very informative. Found the clues and cache without any problems.

This cache was a great experience on so many levels. Wandering through the graves, we reflected on the hardships endured by the early settlers, the losses to diptheria, other illnesses, war, accidents, they experienced death such as we don't nowadays. But we reflected , too, on the debt owed to the early cachers for the enjoyment we get from the game. Would anyone now research a cache like this and travel as far as Melbourne to Avoca to place it? We recalled the early days of printouts and basic GPSrs, just coords, no maps and touchscreens then, certainly no instant finding and logging with smart phones (instant gratification, eh! - TFTC - on to the next!!).
So, maccamob, very many thanks for all the work you did in 2002 in placing this wonderful cache. Oh, yes, we found it, had it in hand just on 12.00 noon and we have to say - TNLN!! Wish we could do double Fav points.

A great long weekend in St Arnaud with JSando and the Jaktembo family of four.
We stayed in comfort at the motel, while Jaktembo bought their caravan and stayed at the caravan park, which turned out to be a great base for us all. Yummy bbq breaky under the gazebo at the start of the day, then kicking back beside the van with spagbol for dinner before heading out for a night cache or two.
We arrived Friday night, and did a couple on the way into town. Saturday was spent riding bikes through some trails, then after a feed heading out on foot.
We completed our first AR cache and Jaktembo did their first night cache. Sunday was walking and drive-bys. Monday, more drive bys before we left Jaktembo to it and headed home.
Of course we had to do a couple on the trip home. This being one. It was fun, we’ve become firm fans of good historical cemetery multis.
Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC

Found on our way to St Arnaud to attend this years events. A nice walk around the cemetary collecting clues with Mr C. Even though we managed to miscalculate a number along the way we still managed a find in the drizzle. TFTC Maccamob.

Google is not my friend anymore due to having my email address locked last Wednesday night and I still have not got it back as yet.
This caused me a lot of hassles during my caching trip to St Arnaud last weekend by not receiving any notifications of new caches and having to rely on my mates and some of them had problems with the Telstra coverage but we got there in the end.
Owing to my problems I am now four days behind in my logging so it will a generic log for the most part but I have noted which ones I will give F.P.’s.
It is interesting to note the number of geocaching folk who head up to St Arnaud to attend this weekend seems to increase in numbers each year and how far away they have to go for accommodation thus the reason I book ahead each year.
Lovely easy location to pull over and have a wander around this resting spot of so many of our early settlers.
While looking for the second clue I was approached by the guardian of this cemetery who had his book of all the locals and wanted to help me in my search so after telling him why I was here and having no rellies interned here but lots close by in Navarre he decided this interested him so he decided to help.
The cache is very secure in it's hidey hole and all is good so thanks for this old cache placed in another interesting location.
Time to move a little closer to my destination for the next four days.

A few days off so BettyBoo3747 and I decided to head to St Arnaud. It is not often that I'm not working on this event weekend, but this one coincided with my day's off.
Day one and we travelled from Willy to St Arnaud. We started a bit of caching on this side of Ballarat, and finished off with the LP trail by deadly treadlies in the afternoon.

A large and interesting cemetery here, and a very nice multi to show it off.
We had just been reading about the Chinese section at the cache in the gardens in the big smoke.
We were glad we didn't have to use the number of gravestones as a couple have been badly damaged and we weren't sure what number to use.
So many stories here! Diphtheria is a name we hear, but theses days I don't know anyone who has suffered from it.
Nice hide in the end.
Thanks, Robmc.

Slowly caching my way towards St Arnaurd, I stopped to find this cache. Yet another historic cemetery with interesting information. It’s great how much history is preserved in places like this. A nice hide at the end too! TFTC maccamob

#14813. A travelling day for Robmc and me as we make our way to St Arnaud for the weekend. A nice little tally of 20 caches found before we reached town in time for a late lunch. After settling in we unloaded the bicycles and headed out to do one of the trails just out of town. A good day with a total of 40 caches found.

A maccamob cache how about that, and an old one to boot. Don't get to do many old ones. Even on this cold day we had a lovely wander back and forth here gathering the required information. There certainly are some old graves here and the usual sad and tragic tales. With some new numbers to hand we made our way to GZ and added our name to the log book.

This was our 2nd cemetery cache for the day.

Thanks maccamob

This took a couple of visits to complete. We stopped last year on the way to the Saints n Sinners fund raising bike ride in St Arnaud and again this weekend on the way back after a fun packed 2 day adventure on our bikes.
As always you give a tour of the cemetery and the chance to read about the hardships of days gone by.
Happy to have it crossed off the list of 'must get caches.

Only just! Gathered all the required information, spoke to a lovely lady who looks after the cemetery and then "found" the treasure but needed geohusband's strength to retrieve it. TFTC

We're out for a Sunday drive, a picnic and a few geocaches. Thanks for bringing us to this cemetery and sharing some local history.

TFTC. We were on our way to Navarre to organise summer storage for the Motorhome. Along the way we stopped to find some caches. The trip usually only 50 minutes was at least three/quarters of an hour longer.
We love wandering cemeteries and multis like this give it a purpose. A sad theme but an interesting tour.

Stayed in Avoca for the night, got up early to do this one before heading home.
Had a walk around the cemetery gathering the required information.
I had trouble with waypoint 2 so I left that one found the rest of the waypoints and came back to No 2.
I eventually found the required headstone did the calculations and had some favourable coords and off I went.
A search of GZ and I soon had the cache in hand.
After reading some of these headstone it shows how lucky we can be to be around to read some of these.
Thanks maccamob TFTC.
