Lunch break during a first aid course at Walter Nash stadium. I just couldn't resist! Area a bit messy but no time or gear for clean up. Tftc
My group went along ahead while I dropped off my friend and about 10 mons later I caught up to them and found it in seconds
Found on a cycle ride - Belmont, Taita, Wingate, around to the cemetry, Riverside Drive down to Waiwhetu, across to the River Trail and back to Belmont. A really nice few hours of caching. TFTC
Out and about on a quiet morning. Nice quick find with no one around to bust me. Thanks for the hide!
I turned down the invitation here, my push-ups are always a pathetic imitation of the real thing anyway. Found the cache though - - - and signed the log. Thanks .
First cache find (just started with my family today). Great fun.. my son had a blast. Thanks for the cache.
A great first cache after a long caching hiatus. Also the perfect size and location for an introduction to geocaching for our young ones. Have also added a spare pencil we had lying around.
Big thanks for the cache.
Big thanks for the cache.
Lovely quick find while waiting for the other part of the caching crew for the day
Found on a Saturday afternoon caching session. First time in this area. It was cool to attempt the different exercise challenges. TFTC
Five sit ups, a lap around the steping logs and 10 push ups. Thanks for the cache
Pleased to turn this frown upside down after visiting this spot while the cache had gone awall. Quick find. Cache all good. TFTC
Quick find. TFTC. Hadn’t seen this little reserve before (apart from down the road at the hurdles) - very cool.
Find #3053. Caching day on the bike, completing 38kms around Lower Hutt, with the weather undecided if it wanted to be hot or cold, sunny or cloudy, but definitely windy from the SW.
I paused for a drink while a girl and her dog walked past the spot. This cache was also very visible like the last, so I hope it doesn't get muggled. SL TFTC

Just one more before dinner and this was it. Nice quick find too thanks. Now off to show Bubble13 the house I lived in when I was 17 (which is only a block or two away) and studying at the CIT - well actuallly that year it was at Petone and the following year it moved to CIT. A career I never persued in the end. TFTC # 13,222
After visiting the model rail exhibition at the nearby Walter Nash centre, I checked whether there were any nearby caches before heading away. This one was only 150m or so from my parked car. Short walk and found it straightaway. #2086. TFTC.
Another wee part of the valley I hadn't explored before. No-one about on this stormy Friday morning. Found the wall anomaly pretty sticky, signed the log and headed back to somewhere or off the deluge.
TFTC, cheers
TFTC, cheers
Checked this one out on my way back from my daughter's netball game. Container is missing, I will replace next weekend.
Gave it a good look. Found a likely place down low but nothing there when I checked behind.
I'll put on my watch list and see how others get on.

Out for a bike ride from Petone, and to pick up a few caches in this area if possible.
And nice to find another bike trail in Hutt City.
No sign of a likely hide that I could see today.

A wee delay here as I had to wait for a slow moving walker and dog to depart the scene. Finding the cache was no problem. I hadn't been along this trail before; it's a pleasant walk, although the cool weather seems to have kept muggles away in the early evening.
Nice quick find - on a busy Easter Saturday.
Just starting to spit, before turning to a showery afternoon.
TFTC!

Out and about finding a few caches with team Geocacher Mr. T. This one was a quick find, log signed and returned just seconds before a few muggles came wandering along. Whew! Thanks for the cache. (no, we didn't try the exercise equipment, we left that for others to try).
Carried on down the path. Got a bit apprehensive near the school as it was lunchtime, but found GZ a little way past. Found the cache without any problems. TFTC
Another quick find on the way home from work. Glad I had the hint since my GPS was all over.
Cache # 4,111 - a nice morning for a quick stroll. Took a few minutes of looking and thinking to realise where the cache probably was, and sure enough - bingo! All good. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Consecutive caching day # 1,712

Arrived at GZ and wondered whether the dead branches nearby were going to cause a problem. Stood back and had a good look before I spied something suspicious. After that a very quick find where all is good - everything dry etc.
Thanks for another smilie and my cache of the day.

An early morning trip to Taita. As everything was quiet as a mouse there were no problems regarding muggles in the area. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC

#5163. The day before Christmas and with my brief burst of Christmas shopping behind me (one of life's hurdles from my perspective), I had some free time available. I decided to do a short visit to the Hutt Valley to pick up a few more caches before the Christmas indulgence begins. I noticed these newer caches and so headed this way. Clearly being lazy here as I drove around and found a footpath entry to the cache. Looked like a lot of potential hiding spots at the GZ but stood back and observed (for once) and then saw the best option. Lo and behold there was a cache. Signed the dry log and returned as found. Thanks for the cache jefraser.
I had more time for geocaching today, but it was so hot I just couldn't be bothered going for a long walk to find one - so I came back to Taita to log a visit to have a look for this cache.
I spotted the hint item straight away and was back in the car within about 5 minutes.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you
Cherrys Rule

Another night shift completed and its a nice and quiet Sunday morning. Last time attempted I was muggled off, this time nobody about and a straight forward find. Log signed, cache returned and off home for some kip.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Saw this series of caches when they were published but decided that I would leave them for days that I needed a cache as I was far too slow to get the FTF on them so this was the next option.
Wanting an easy cache today I decided that I would go and look for this cache, I decided to park on Shepard Grove and walk to GZ from there as it was a very hot day and I wasnt wanting to walk too far.
As I neared the entrance to the walkway I noticed that the local Kindergarten was spraying water everywhere to keep the kids that were running around outside cool, that was a great idea, but as I was in my work clothes I really didnt want to get too wet.
Arriving at GZ it only took me a few seconds to spot the hint object and I was able to extract the cache from behind, retrieved the logpage, sign and replace it back as found. Thanks for placing this series of caches here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (12822)

After a bit to much party action at the first to even look, this one was all quiet. Quick find and sign then off to next. Thanks for the cache.
Of the new Taita caches I happened upon this is the first one I actually tried after seeing numerous muggles everywhere else on a nice evening. It seemed sufficiently out of view of neighbour muggles that I had no apprehension searching here. I only had my phone as a GPS which is plenty good enough for this type of cache. Found the nicely hidden cache after a short search. TFTC.
TFTC - another nice and easy one on a beautiful evening. I had no idea this walkway was here!
Second of the four new caches. It sounds like there's a play group in the property over the fence. I hope that doesn't become an issue.
An easy find. TFTC

I was out this way today so decided to grab the new caches that have sprung up in the last couple of days. No worries here. TFTC
I have a feeling that caches may not last all that long in this area so decided to head out and score them while they were still new. Found all of them very quickly, the coordinates are all nice and accurate and this one took only seconds to spot. Signed log, TFTC
#9643. {FTF} at 07:01 and first day find. An early Sunday morning trip to Taita for some exercises. GZ was all quiet at this time. No problem with the phone GPS, which brought us close enough to the cache hide. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

I was due to head for Avalon this morning so when (at that stage) there were two FTFs still available I decided to come over this way earlier. The almost inevitable FTF occurred on this one as I was on the way over but fortunately I was still able to snag FTF on the previous one and having allowed the extra time I took the opportunity to do all four new caches.
This one had me slightly confused as the GPS indicated a few metres out but the hint helped. Will be interesting to see huhugrub's full log whether he found the coordinates to be out a little or if if was just me.
Some scent coming from the cache, might be a good idea to wash that out so as not to attract ants etc.
TFTC.

#447. Yesterday I decided that I would go to RailEx 2017 model railway show in Taita, Lower Hutt. This morning at 1.43 a.m. four new caches were published, all within a stone’s throw of the venue. OK, so I wasn’t intending to miss the All Blacks v Scotland game to attempt any FTF’s, but FDF’s are the next best thing. So, after visiting RailEx, this one was second on the list. Nice easy find, 3rd to sign today. Tftc jefraser.
