Today out and about on 248 of 274 days to get my daily cacher Emerald Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
Bisoutje and I are on a 4-week roadtrip with a campervan between Cairns and Adelaide and have now finally arrived in Adelaide. We spend our 2 full days here exploring the city with help from the Geocaching map. We enjoyed looking for Geocaches in and around the city, both virtually and physically. We especially enjoyed finding old caches of which there are a lot here. This was a quick find, with a bit of luck in the 2nd grab. We did not drop the cache .TFTC!
Found today with master Alfie, the newest member of the Ben and Bon team. Time for name update! We almost gave up but after a little more searching with something other than our eyes, we soon had the cache in hand! Don't drop it in the water, Mum! Alfie reminded me!
My 3 boys couldn't find it anywhere... They were wondering if perhaps someone didn't read the title and accidentally dropped it.
Out for a stroll around North Adelaide and trying to find a few geocaches. No problems here.
Last cache of the day and nice old one for me and my grid. A lot of toing and froing and heading down to GL to look up (nope my eyesight aint that good) I spotted a possible help from a recent dog-based pic. As my baseline I widened the search in a tactile manner (thought I'd checked there before etc etcz0 and had the lidless cache found and su=signed. Didn't drop it, followed instructions well.A mish-mash of a day today as a couple of my group (me included) realised that our trip to Adelaide would be extended for up to a week, oh no, quel domage. So I headed out early doors for a few early morning picks down Mawson Lakes way. Then had a coffee and chat to farewell a colleague, then afterwards was a trip into the city to pick off a few low-hanging fruit. I filtered my app to Wherigo, Letterbox Hybrid, Earthcache and Virtual but flicked on Traditionals and off depending on where I was etc. A great day to get some awesome, and popular, caches under my belt. As ever, the appreciation to the COs is most genuinely respected.
Out with Tankengine and Dty73 and Aquilas picking up this one after a visit to goal. Kutgw
Thanks team Freddo for old one. Nice to see such an old one still going. interesting old bridge. Found with some new friends from the leap day mega.
I had never geocached in South Australia before, and with a Mega event on offer, I thought I would pop in to my neighbours for the day. Took the first flight in from Melbourne and the last flight out. Got back to Melbourne just before midnight of this leap day 2024.My plan was to walk Adelaide collection as many types of possible, oldies, Virtuals, Earthcaches, and most importantly, my first Webcam. From the airport to the event, collecting caches on the way. Then, he chatted with friends at the Mega before walking to the heart of Adelaide. The city was busy, and I bumped into a number of geocachers, my locals, interstate cachers, and at the webcam, a Norwedish group of geocachers. Cheated on the way back to the event and took public transport, but did walk the 5 kilometres back to the airport for my return flight home.I was pleased that I got at least 1 of every type, most of the oldies I wanted, and walked over 20 kilometres. Maybe I should have had a sports watch on recording the steps. Thanks to everyone for a great adventure. After visiting the nearby Jail, this was next on my list. The good coordinates helped make this a quick find between trains. Thanks for the cache, Freddo.Hunter
Day 3 of our trip and today is Mega Leap Day!Tankengine, Youban, Aquilus1 and I started at the Mega then went off to find a few caches, have lunch with family, did a bit of sightseeing, visited the hospital (all ok there), an event and home. All in all a good day. It was fun running into people we had never met and people we meet only at Megas. We found some great caches and saw some cool stuff. This cache: We parked at the end of the road and made the short walk to GZ, where after a little searching the cache was found. Tftc!!!

Today is Adelaide day, and the Mega.after a little solo caching this morning, met up with many others at the Mega before heading out with dty73, Tankengine and youban.( and handyone).I love old caches so it was great to get this one on my list. Took a short search but found soon enough.

Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrVon sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway
Caching from WA west coast to SA for the leap year mega. TFTC. Took a little while but then I extended my search.
We arrived a little early and decided to visit a few nearby caches. TFTH and fun!
Found whilst in Adelaide for the mega on 29 Feb, The Great Leap Forward. Quick find at GZ with Sleepy_hollow. There is no lid on the container but the contents are all dry. I did nearly drop the cache though, given the type of hide that it is! Lovely views of the river. TFTC!
Finally time to be in Adelaide and we arrived a few days early. We set up camp in Walkerville and settled in for a few days.Today we joined forces with Robmc and headed towards and into the city on the bikes. A day of mixed fortunes but this was one of our successful finds. It was a big day of riding and caching and we were pretty tired at the end of it all.We didn't - but we felt the pressure.A beautiful day to be out riding along here. Thanks for showing us the sights.
The second day in Adelaide with The Morris. We again took the deadly treadlies and this time headed south along the Torrens. We didn't drop the cache, but I have to say if you use a boat, your would need very long arms! Thanks, Robmc.

Day 2 of my trip to Adelaide with barb2e. By now we had arrived at our CITO and I joined up with Muff to wander further afield to pick up some more rubbish. We ended up at GZ. I am amazed that this hasn't ended up in the water and terrified that I could be the culprit. All was achieved successfully and the log now bears our names. TFTC Freddo the Frog.
Arrived in Adelaide on a hot afternoon with Smittengranny. Checked into my accommodation and then we headed off to the CITO and collected a few other caches in the area. Tftc

I almost knocked it into the water while searching, almost dropped the pen while signing, and I was paranoid about dropping the phone or GPS. A nice find whilst out on the bike this afternoon whilst targeting traditionals out the northern side of the city. TFTC!
Harder than expected but luckily the coords were fine so all dignedcand returned to its rightful spot.
Was about to give up and then accidentally touched it! And yes, we didn't drop the cache.
Had some time to kill while in the area, so enjoyed a walk around here. The drizzle kept the muggles away thankfully, so managed to find the cache and sign the log without anyone around. TFTC!

Find 11 of 18 on a busy caching day in central Adelaide then out to Mount Lofty, first by a combination of e-scooter and urban walking, then later lots of up and down hiking.
Our fingers did the walking here, and managed not to fumble it. All good here.
TFTC Freddo!

Out for an evening wander and looking for some caches along the way. Took the walkway up to the posted GZ and it felt like train after train (and the occasional plane) were passing by. Took me a few minutes to work out where to look (d'oh). Cache not dropped! TFTC Freddo
Beautiful park, nice spot. When you put it back, make sure which side got magnet.
Spent a while searching high and low.. all I found were cobwebs. Beautiful view though
After visiting son in RAH I took a leisurely stroll to this cache. Cache all ok. Great view of river and train going by.

Cache not dropped. Got some steps in today with this cache. Up and down until got it
Checked a few spots for 10 minutes. Used fingers and found many spider webs but no cache. Sad face.
Thanks for leading us to this wonderful spot! A lovely relaxing walk before heading back to work. We found another cache container nearby but it didn't say which geocache it was for. I guess we will just have to wait and see! TFTC! Sabo + JJ
Stunning views in the morning from this location. Quick find while doing a reconnaissance walk looking for a good place to launch my kayak.
