Been a long time between visits to Dunedin. I wasnt able to do the MEGA there but managed to get things together and come down from Auckland for 5 days and 4 nights after the fact. On my own this visit, usually come with others, so rather quiet on my own this time around. Ive rented a small but great white Toyota Yaris and intend to get as many caches as I can. Day 4 of my adventure. Will be my best day of caching for numbers at the end of the day. Just on my own, so very tiring now. Thanks for the caches by the various C.O's but especially BDC417. What a lovely spot this, nice place to sit and relax... where's me wine I say! I could easily have camped here for the night. Thanks for the cache.
Cool!! Spent the night at sinclair wetlands then came to the cache on our way out. Good parking and cute find, and another minute done for the latitude minute challenges I'm working on. Thanks!!
Day 3 of our mega trip and today was the day to hit the local trail but first a little detour! Thanks for the cache. Signed SEAC (South East Auckland Crew)
In Dunedin for Geo Toroa (Mega) with a team of cachers from South, East Auckland (SEAC), NZTravellers, KeyLev, HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, and myself. This is our usual annual caching trip where we usually travel to a Mega (in NZ thus far) and/or cache the area, or select an area most of us haven't been caching before, to gain maximum numbers for all. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining caches in some stunning locations that we may not have visited had it not been foe geocaching.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space unless stated for individual sign in's.TFTC.
tmann421 and I are heading south after attending the MEGA, dodging as many showers as possibleWe enjoyed all the caches found and thank the cache owners for their efforts in maintaining these for us to findLog signed tm/ww NZTFTC
Nice find with woolwood9 today. Heading out after attending the MEGA in Dunedin.SL *tm/ww NZ*We had lots of light rain but enjoyed the drive around!*Thanks for the fun cache*
Team SEAC consisting of HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, UncleSam, Keylev and ourselves headed to Dunedin for the 2024 MEGA!All logs were signed as SEAC to save paper (except where specific signing requirements were requested)Third day of our Mega weekend. The weather although wet wasn't as cold as yesterday. Thanks to all the CO's who had maintained the caches as we found a majority with fresh paper and containers!TFTC
We are in Dunedin for the Mega and this is day 3 of our trip. We planned to get numbers today so headed to the series down this way. All logs signed with SEAC (South East Auckland Crew) {unless otherwise required int he cache} as there are 5 caching names in the group; stik-a-crane, unclesam, NZTravellers, Keylev and us. A lot of fun was had, lots of laugh and memories made with friends.
Here for the 2024 Mega with a group from Auckland. Sorry for the generic logs. Thank you to all the cache owners who placed the caches to support my addiction. Most logs signed as SEAC.

We were up this way at the beginning of August & Jeremiah was missing. So we were pleasantly surprised to see a new Jeremiah & cache had been put out. Great day for caching with DSI & Annielin TFTC
Pick up the remnants of the original cache and replaced with an understudy Jeremiah. All good to go again.
Day trip with Mrs Hazzer and Downsouthinv. Great day to get out and see more of our country. No luck. Looked long and hard
Great cache container. Not quite Jeremiah maybe Polly? TFTC and bringing me to this lovely spot - my first time here. Id always wondered how you got to Sinclair wetlands and now I know one route - albeit via the geocache trail.
A cool crisp day today. I enjoyed being out in the countryside. I hardly saw another soul all day. A quick find here. Cheers and TFTC
Out cruising the backroads to cool off in the trucks air con - 32C outdoors! - took the opportunity to stop for this one on the way past. Often around Berwick but have never been along this way before, beautiful spot. Quickly found the cache, was sticking out colourfully loud and proud as the surrounding vegetation is all dry and dead - love the container! A favourite point for originality. Log well protected and still nice and dry. Emptied small amount of water out of the outer container, popped in a little signature swag item , and tucked it a bit further into it's hide so it's not so obvious. Walked the nearby plank to peek into the water and was rewarded with a view of a small school of half-grown-up whitebait milling around in the shallows. Tftc.
Very hard to find when looking at the obvious but very easy to find once having an overall look of the area
Loved the outer container. And the quadrupley bagged log paper was still nice and dry! Tftc
A few days away caching with Nosynel. Today we will finish off the power trail but first a stop at the wetlands. The black swans were vociferous in their efforts to make us leave or pay attention - not sure which! Tftc. Log dry despite all the rain recently.#9885
I'm pleased that I am wearing my ?????? tramping boots. They are keeping my feet ?? dry and warm. Today is day three of our 4 day holiday in Mosgiel and the area around it.
Definitely not a bullfrog, but surprised to find another swamp-dwelling creature lurking there.
Outer container was very full of water, inner container also contained water but fortunately there were 3 ziplock bags containing the logsheet, which despite them, was a bit damp. I added another ziplock bag, so now there are 4 - hopefully to keep the water out for a bit longer. MrMagoo72 and I signed the log and returned it all as found, though slightly more hidden than we found it. A lovely spot that I'd love to return to on a finer day. Thanks for bringing us here.

Pretty soggy around here. We had never been to the Sinclair Wetlands before, so thank you for bringing us here. MacBayMeri and I signed the log and returned it all back to its nesting spot. TFTC.
Found with dakotacats while out gathering numbers - it was a big day!! Love the container TFTC
Hallo, auf einem Road-Trip über die Südinsel Neuseelands auch diesen Cache gut gefunden.

Out and about in the area looking for all the new caches so couldn't miss this one. Not the critter I was expecting....much cuter though.
Thanks for the cache, enjoyed picking this one up on a slight detour today picking up a couple of newly placed caches close by.
A nice quick find. The container was half full of water but the log was OK. Thanks for placing your cache.
Time for another road trip for Ms_KR and KR, so we headed south toward Otago. We cruised around the Taieri area and over to the coast today. It poured overnight but the rain held off today which was cool. Another great day.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Did someone come here recently, judging by the tracks?! No frogs, plenty of noisy pūtangitangi / paradise ducks. Tftc.
A quick find while taking the path less travelled home today. Cache container was full of water so we emptied it out and the log book was still dry. TFTC [^]
We've been close to here before on caching business. Today we met another impressive critter - but not what we were expecting! water in bottom, but log is dry in its snaplock bag.
Container not functional at present. Working on the back up, should be all go shortly.
We were on a whirlwind trip around the South Island in pursuit of the PWGT caches. We had an unplanned and unexpected two days on Stewart Island so we were a bit behind schedule but not so much that we didn't have time to complete our mission.
While we were at the bottom of the South Island we got notification of some new caches nearby to this one. As we are not from this area we were not overly sure where some of these caches were. So once we were back at the campervan I loaded them up onto a screen big enough for me to get our bearings. Turned out we were due to pass fairly close to them on our way North.
The PWGT caches took precedence but once we had finished them, these two ftf caches were the next priority and as we were passing this one and there was plenty of room to stop we thought we would have a wee look while passing.
We have never been on this side of the lake before, but after reading the description of a nearby cache it may not be the last time we are here. We just did not have time to follow through with everything we need to do to be eligible to find the other one.
The wind was absolutely howling, the lake was brown which is the same colour it was when we were last in the area. Not sure if that is the usual colour or if we have just struck two windy days.
A nice quick find, and although it was wet the log was well protected and wasnice and dry inside.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Thank you for this ache, us04. The container certainly wan't what I was expecting, either!
There was a lot of water, which I drained; the log book was completely fine.
A pleasant afternoon excursion around this part of the Taieri to find a cache or 2.

Peaceful spot. I was expecting a different cache container so was surprised when I found it! Tftc
After a hectic week we joined up with friends in a batch at Lake Mahinerangi and just had a much needed, relaxing and mainly unplugged weekend. We'd saved most of the caches onto an offline list, knowing the reception where we were was patchy at the best of times. We went on a road trip across to the back side of Waihola to grab a few caches in the area and it was a case of de ja vu here, I recognized this cool container from the last time it was in use. TFTC
On a return roadie up to Oamaru, picking up targetted (and other) caches along the way. Nice wee diversion off the highway to start the journey. A pretty spot and cute cache tftc.... (Joy to the World was on the radio at the time too.. spooky!)
Jeremiah was a...[weeping prophet](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremiah). Apparently.
Which would explain why he was rather wet on the inside.
Chin up, Jeremiah, chin up.

A rare day when Guwapo, Mama, and Papa out together for a spot of geocaching. Quick find. Needed to empty the water out of the base but the log was dry. Salamat!
On our way to do maintenance with Guwapo and family when we stopped for them to find this cache. I had found another cache here before and didn't realise that it had been replaced by this one so a nice surprise to be able to claim the smiley.
Found on 7/10/2019.
It's school holidays again, time to grab a few caches if the mood takes me...
Not the creature I was looking for!

A quick easy find of a nice unusual cache at a pleasant location. Jeremiah had been drinking a bit, so we emptied him out, but the log was dry. A favourite from us. TFTC
Gets a favourite for the cool container. Unfortunately full if water but log dry inside the extra layers. Emptied it out then spent a while enjoying the location
Our first cache! What fun. The recent rain has made the contents soggy unfortunately. Super cool container.
Love the extra effort with this hide
Chasing hidden creatures on a road trip, and found this one. Lovely clear winter’s afternoon.

Thanks for that. Now I can't get that song out of my head.....Apart from that we loved the container, and the location- if only we had thought to bring a picnic!
Been here before for an archived cache. SL on the new one but wonder if the old one is still hidden behind the sign. Thanks for the cache.
Jeremiah was a . . . 'something' I was suspecting butttt wasn't what I was probably 'expecting', although it was less damaged/repaired and totally replaced anew with new inner cache and logbook. Found the [original](https://coord.info/GC5HGQA) cache after the Daywalks had mended the old cache container last year and it got archived. Since then it had been logged as still in place while saved on cacheri PQ's. I found the pot and once SL, grabbed the remains in PVC baggy and returned to old hide. Found the new cache at new spot 116ft away and SL on the new book and grabbed the goods in new PVC baggy again. Returned to hide and away around the wetland to cache some more up the gravel roads and hills. TFTC .
Heading south for the weekend after doing an airport drop off. I love the container.
quick find on very hot day, thought might catch up on a few catches in this area, have done a few caches here in past
A quick park and grab while out about grabbing a few caches to get my numbers up so I can crack 2000 before the end of the year. TFTC
All good here. Nice spot to enjoy the fine weather. No muggles in sight so took time to tidy this up and dewater but multi bags saved log.
I'd been housebound for a while and needed to get out. This provided the perfect opportunity. Thanks us04.
Nice ride out to an area I have come to know well through caching. Been a couple of previous caches at this spot and then there are the natalie247 caches all along this road. A quick find in a nice little container. TFTC.
