Thanks 8ManAfter for placing this series of caches for all to enjoy.??Met a group of guys checking pest traps- they'd caught a couple of stoats and a rat ??TNLNSL, replaced as found, TFTC ??
On a weekend caching/hiking trip. Finding this one took a while. One of the previous logs helped in the end. TFTC
The longest cache in the series to find - I was all over and around GZ then while I was inspecting the wall, stood up and looked deep into a dark place - a lucky glimps of the lid and found it! Phew! Cheers
Passed a group heading back down just before i got here. They told me I'm nearly there, just as well its way past lunchtime and im hungry, luckily it was another quick find. Thanks 8ManAfter

Lots of moss and lots of possible hidey holes around here. Replaced cache with permission of cache owner.
Telesto and me turned our backs, while angelic_kiwi replaced the missing container. Quick find nevertheless
Sorry for the delay in attending to this one! As I am currently unable to get out to check/replace this one, another cacher has offered to do so.
They hope to get out there in the next couple of weeks to perform maintenance. I have given them all the information to replace the cache with the proper hints for the series.

Out leading a day trip for the CUTC. Took the opportunity to try and get all the caches up a track that I don't take very often. No luck here either. Plenty of ideal spots but no cache
And another DNF today, boohoo missing out on the colours we need to complete the puzzle cache at the top!
We had never heard of Mos Eisley, but there was certainly plenty of moss around at this location. Regardless, we too were unable to find this cache.
Yep another DNF
Just did 2 circuits of GZ given other DNFs and the need to catch up at the hut . Thanks

Alas this cache is missing. Loved the location, and the pun. Would have been a favourite, but alas I think it has fallen down a bottomless bit, or may been taken by a rat. Still, this is cache 8 of 9, so still a good chance on finding the final. Would have been harder (but probably doable) if it was one of the first few caches.
Had a huge crawl around, even lying on my belly, peering into holes. The dragon wandered further afield but I thought that unlikely and concentrated near GZ. Bummer.

Lovely morning walk before it gets to hot,and hopefully this cache is one of many! Tftc.
The cache eluded us on the way up but we found the cache on the way down in one of the many spots that we had missed in the initial search. Find #566
Found on a walk up Bealey Spur with Ilmari the Red and the family. This one took a bit longer. The GPS is spot on but the cache was in quite deep. We had to reach in to get it. TFTC!
Today Trifolia Argentea and I took ourselves for a hike up Bealey Spur. Quite a serious walk, but it felt good, and the views were certainly worth the effort. Along the way, we collected a whole string of caches - with not one missed! An excellent day in all.
TFTC!
TFTC!
We were today on our tour to the Bealey Spur Hut. We had a wonderful sunny day and absolut great views. With the kids we need 8 hours and had a nice rest at the hut. Thanks for the cache!

Obi-Wan Cachobi warned Luke Reviewer that he’d never find a more wretched hive of scummy containers and muggling than Mos Eisley cacheport, and he was right.
P.S. Those German girls again chose to have a rest at exactly GZ. Coincidence? Again!?

GPS had me all over the place. I decided to start thinking logically instead and found it quickly. Tftc
Sorry for very late log

Found on the walk up to the hut with students on the Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies from the University of Canterbury as part of a field training exercise. Lovely day for a gentle walk. Great to be here. Thanks for the cache.
The tenth of 11 finds today (along with 3 DNFs). The three of us stayed at Dew Drop Inn opposite the Bealey Hotel on Saturday night so we could walk up to Bealey Top Hut on Saturday and explore Castle Hill Reserve on Sunday. As writing Bo&bronnie, Rincewind3, and Not Manly Jack on the logs was tedious (& a lot didn't have room) we logged as BRN. I joked that BRN stood for "feel the BuRN!"
A quick enough find as we needed the top of our walk. Not Manly Jack was particularly keen on a lunch break by this stage!

Today we decided to hike to the top hut. It was higher than we thought, but it was such a lovely natur and very nice views to the river and to the mountains. We found 8 caches from 9. The bonus we solved using all our inspirations. TFTC!
I scored a free night's accommodation in Arthur's Pass for the Saturday, perfect for caching and walking!! Today I decided to head up Bealey Spur past the hut and collect the caches along the way. I was really looking forward to collecting the series! I was making this one more difficult than need be, but I was determined to succeed!! I ended up lying between vegetation when I finally located it lol. I was hoping for a specific colour here TFTC!!
We stayed the night at Lake Pearson. Sunday's mission was Bealey Spur.
I am now logging these finds on the way home. I am enjoying sitting down although my entire body is aching.
JDScout and I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Finding geocaches was a bonus.

Thanks. 8ManAfter for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 5347 for me.
This very subtle hide took me a little while to locate - it was hidden right at GZ in a place that I had first searched, but obviously not good enough. Took me another 5-8 minutes to get back to search there again. Onwards and upwards.
Been a few years since I did this track so back today with the family. Bit hot when not in the shade. Made it to the top for lunch. Followed by a cold beer at the Bealey hotel afterwards.
Plans were afoot for a different Mad Monday Mission... those were dashed when CO contacted TG about these being published. I did a bit of a shuffle around with cachelet minding as Mrs TW was in Auckland. A few texts and phone calls later TG came and grabbed me at 5.15pm and we gapped it to the car park and headed up the track at 7pm on the dot. The plan was to turn around at 10pm regardless of whether we got all the caches and we'd only spend a couple of minutes finding the caches. We headed up and DNFed the first cache we came across and then found all the rest thankfully. We got to the hut at 9pm and got back to the car at 10.30 clocking up 12.5kms! We had the perfect night for it it was clear, warm and had a super moon. We even heard a morepork as we were walking back in the dark. Great fun. And back home in bed at 12.30am.
Did a bit of a merry dance and found it in the first place we looked. {FTF}!!!
Thanks for the cache 8ManAfter.

**FTF** 850pm with TheWanglers
Monday Night Mad Mission time with TheWanglers.. We'd already scoped out an adventure for tonight but when we saw this new series of caches published last night on the spur we quickly changed plans! A fun nights adventure. Picked up TW earlier than usual and we parked up next to the Track Head and set out bang on 7pm. DOC sign said the hut was 6km and 2.5hrs away. All told, even with stopping for caches, photo's and admiring the view we were at the hut by 9pm....then back down and at the car by 1030pm ...and home by midnight. Passed a few people walking out, and 3 camping out up the top. Cool As.
Cooled off nicely now...and racing whilst there was still some good light in the day. My stoopid GPS led me in a couple useless circles before I looked up and honed in on the likely spot....and TW came up with the find. Cool mossy spot.
