Thanks 8ManAfter for placing this series of caches for all to enjoy.??Met a group of fit older guys who had been out checking their traps- they'd caught a couple of stoats and a rat ?? keep up the good work! Nice hearing lots of birds up there!TNLNSL, replaced as found, TFTC ??
On a weekend hiking/caching trip.. Gps was a bit jumpy here. Found it without trouble. TFTC
Not far from the hut now! The kids have all gone ahead while I spent a while on the last one - at least they will have lunch ready for me! Cheers
Anna made a good choice with this hide. The gps took me straight to it. TFTC

Last, but not least! I especially loved and looked at the moss in the trees, while Telesto logged this one for us. Thanks!
The final piece of the puzzle, quick find and off to the bonus mystery cache TFTC!
Out leading a day trip for the CUTC. Took the opportunity to try and get all the caches up a track that I don't take very often. A nice and quick find just before lunch at the hut. TFTC
Thank goodness a find not far to the hut now - geocaching with Juju54 - TFTC
Enjoying a hike with the EU crew up to Bealey Hut for the afternoon. Great views and an enjoyable walk. TFTC
Easily located this one then catch up with the other half at the hut for lunch. Thanks
We were staying nearby for a few days, so what better than a walk up Bealey Spur on a lovely winters day! This was a nice little hide in a great location. TFTC
We waisted some time looking for #8 with no luck. finally carrying on for a successful find here. Cheers. Now on to the hut. Its been a slow ascent but no other have overtaken us yet. Cheers
Monday today, and first up is Bealy Spur Track for the morning, then home via Lake Brunner and Murchison later today.
Its Queens Birthday weekend and The Seagnoid, Zara and I are heading out of town for a long weekend to Arthurs Pass, via Kaikoura. Had a fantastic weekend, seeing lots of new places, limestone formations, amazing views, awesome beech forest walks, but getting nowhere fast. Bloody cold at times with -3deg frosts but thankfully the snow stayed on the top of the highest mountains.. Enjoyed driving back via Lake Brunner, Murchison. An awesome few days exploring.

And another nice find here, thank you, Anna.
Taybeedragon and I are on a five day extended Queen's Birthday weekend. Happy birthday marm! The plan was to cache the Arthur's Pass route, from Rangiora to Lake Buller. You would think four days was enough to do the 211 kilometers, but we didn't even manage the 130 to Arthur's Pass village before we had to pull the pin Monday lunchtime for the drive back to Blenheim. But on the way we saw some amazing views, strange geology, weird amounts of ice in the puddles, ice on the inside of our windscreen - it was that cold. Caves, wonderful beech forests, rather a lot of bridge barriers and even a cache or few. And there was blisters, sliding down icy grassy hills on our bums (what fun!) and rather a lot of walking. Many thanks to all the cache owners that made this such an amazing trip.

Heading to the Arthur’s pass area for the weekend grabbing a load of unfound caches along the way
Finally the stars have aligned to get onto this track which I have wanted to do for years
Sorry for the cut and paste but my logs have disappeared into cyber space so having to rewrite them
last 1 time to crunch some numbers

Was going to do all of the caches along track but lost reception after the first one. Managed this one however. Tftc
Thanks Anna! Lovely morning walk before it gets to hot,and hopefully this cache is one of many! Tftc.
We made it to the hut & I found this cache after eating lunch in the tussock nearby. Thanks for a great series 8ManAfter. Even though we didn't get the bonus cache, It was great that you placed so many geocaches so far along the track to make a large find day. TFTC. Find #565
Once again, a quickly find on our walk up Bealey Spur with Ilmari the Red and the family. TFTC!
Today Trifolia Argentea and I took ourselves for a hike up Bealey Spur. Quite a serious walk, but it felt good, and the views were certainly worth the effort. Along the way, we collected a whole string of caches - with not one missed! An excellent day in all.
TFTC!

We were today on our tour to the Bealey Spur Hut. We had a wonderful sunny day and absolut great views. With the kids we need 8 hours and had a nice rest at the hut. Thanks for the cache!

Well, good choice, Anna! Wasn'tfor me though, I hit the top of my head on the weird tree lump.

Found on the walk up to the hut with students on the Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies from the University of Canterbury as part of a field training exercise. Lovely day for a gentle walk. Great to be here. Thanks for the cache.
Out for a walk up this track on a lovely sunny day!

The last of 11 finds today (along with 3 DNFs). The three of us stayed at Dew Drop Inn opposite the Bealey Hotel on Saturday night so we could walk up to Bealey Top Hut on Saturday and explore Castle Hill Reserve on Sunday. As writing Bo&bronnie, Rincewind3, and Not Manly Jack on the logs was tedious (& a lot didn't have room) we logged as BRN. I joked that BRN stood for "feel the BuRN!"
Nice choice Anna! We soon spotted a likely candidate and had the log in hand.

Today we decided to hike to the top hut. It was higher than we thought, but it was such a lovely natur and very nice views to the river and to the mountains. We found 8 caches from 9. The bonus we solved using all our inspirations. TFTC!
I scored a free night's accommodation in Arthur's Pass for the Saturday, perfect for caching and walking!! Today I decided to head up Bealey Spur past the hut and collect the caches along the way. I was really looking forward to collecting the series! Nice quick find! To my relief the colour was one of the two that made it possible for me to have a go at the final!!! TFTC!!
We stayed the night at Lake Pearson. Sunday's mission was Bealey Spur.
I am now logging these finds on the way home. I am enjoying sitting down although my entire body is aching.
JDScout and I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Finding geocaches was a bonus.

Thanks. 8ManAfter for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 5348 for me.
Thank goodness, this is the last of the series. It has taken me 3 hours to reach this point from the start of the track. This cache was found out in the open about 60cm from its obvious hidey place - washed out or dragged out by animals? Replaced it back in place, butressed by a few stones. Time now to see if I can work out where the BSBonus cache is.
Been a few years since I did this track so back today with the family. Bit hot when not in the shade. Made it to the top for lunch. Followed by a cold beer at the Bealey hotel afterwards.
Plans were afoot for a different Mad Monday Mission... those were dashed when CO contacted TG about these being published. I did a bit of a shuffle around with cachelet minding as Mrs TW was in Auckland. A few texts and phone calls later TG came and grabbed me at 5.15pm and we gapped it to the car park and headed up the track at 7pm on the dot. The plan was to turn around at 10pm regardless of whether we got all the caches and we'd only spend a couple of minutes finding the caches. We headed up and DNFed the first cache we came across and then found all the rest thankfully. We got to the hut at 9pm and got back to the car at 10.30 clocking up 12.5kms! We had the perfect night for it it was clear, warm and had a super moon. We even heard a morepork as we were walking back in the dark. Great fun. And back home in bed at 12.30am.
Quick find. TG crunched the numbers and I took some photos and we were nearly at the hut. Yay, another {FTF}.
Thanks for the cache 8ManAfter.

**FTF**855pm with TheWanglers
Monday Night Mad Mission time with TheWanglers.. We'd already scoped out an adventure for tonight but when we saw this new series of caches published last night on the spur we quickly changed plans! A fun nights adventure. Picked up TW earlier than usual and we parked up next to the Track Head and set out bang on 7pm. DOC sign said the hut was 6km and 2.5hrs away. All told, even with stopping for caches, photo's and admiring the view we were at the hut by 9pm....then back down and at the car by 1030pm ...and home by midnight. Passed a few people walking out, and 3 camping out up the top. Cool As.
Nice spot Anna; except my GPS didn't seem to agree...thankfully TW's did! Woohoo - that's the set - now for some quick calculations and to go up to the hut and find the final. Cheers !
