TFTC!Found @ 11:16 amSneaky little cache, this one!Pretty cool train bridge here.Day 59 of caching streak Find #585
Found today with my 3.5 yo son, his first find!! Were locals so will start doing more of these local caches TFTC
Staying at Mt Barker cp. On our way back from the WetLands AL picking up a few caches as well. Tricky but spotted. Hint correct. TFTC
I was in Mount Barker so I thought I'd swing by this one again not holding out much hope.I was just about to leave when I spotted something and found a nice shiny cache with a new log book. For future cachers ignore the hint and think like a cacher and use the accurate co ordinates and you shouldn't have too much of a problem.TFTC
Maybe a bit above our beginner level. We'll definitely be back, it's right next to my gym
Couldn't see anything and then got accosted by a seeming dopehead who blamed me for all the world's evils. Good thing I'm up for a fight and my facts sent him on his way.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 50. Mid North section of SA trip Day 21. Mount Barker 1. Today and the next two days are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. In the meantime I had a day around Mount Barker area today. There was light rain on and off, but it was not much of a problem. I tried to find the multi's I worked out the numbers for yesterday and had a load more caches on the list that went from smoothly to very problematic. I had to skip a whole section as the only access road we being re-surfaced. It was a long and quite difficult day at times, but with that comes a sense of achievement with what was found.
My first train track cache was a fail. I wonder if I had another look after finding a few more if it would make any difference.
Thanks.

We tried our best and believe we had a thoroughly look but we couldn’t locate it
Cache has been checked & found a short distance from where it was meant to be (cache creep). I have placed it back in position, ready to be found again.
The adventures of Sparkie and Goldy have returned, this time for some caches around Mount Barker, Nairne, Kanmantoo and Callington.
An 8:30AM start, followed by laughs, lots of potholes, Hungry Jacks for lunch and 21 caches for the day with a handful of DNFs.
I couldn't find this cache last time so I returned with a second set of eyes and still came up empty.
Thanks for the hunt regardless.

Let's see... an event, nice weather, lots of smileys to obtain... perfect excuse to travel down to Mount Barker for an afteroon!
Height was no issue here but cache blindness was!
Someone knew what I was doing as they walked past "Oh I've done this with my son at scout's!"
Unfortunately we couldn't find anything.
The maintenance means it's definitely cache blindness!
Thanks for bringing me here anyway.

Cache has been checked, is still in place & in good condition. There is more than 1 access point to this cache.
This cache took awhile to find, with no luck we decided to PAF a previous finder who pointed me in the right direction in the end.
Today after an event at Cafe de Villis we headed to Belair National Park to complete one of the new lab caches before making our way to Beerenberg for strawberry picking but this couldn't be done before a short walk around Mount Barker for a few caches.
Thanks for the cache

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

I will be in Mt Barker before 14th November & plan to check this cache at that time.
Only had a quick look cause it started raining. If their are some funds we will come back for another look
Full time nomads exploring SA. Mr Felix headed out on his bike this morning to tackle some caches. Once he returned we hopped into the Geo Cruiser to attempt some more.

A quick detour and having a prior finder in tow meant a quick find on the right side of the tracks.
Last one in this series. Not for beginners! Thanks for the challenge and the nice walk Hevwalker.
Looked at the comments to see a few recent dnf's but had a quick look anyway, I too log a dnf, will give me a reason to come back for another look once its confirmed to be there.
As I approached GZ I was a touch worried. I worried more when I read the hint. But the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC
Today, my plan was to hang around Mount Barker and explore the town and its surrounds. A Breakfast Club event kick started my day, and from there, I joined a small group to Mount Barker Summit to find a few of those geocaches. I then headed solo around the area to find a few more traditionals, and later ran into Wal & Ol who had also stuck around visiting a few multi-cache waypoints. I continued to check out the town's surrounds, and called it a day when it got dark.
This was my last cache for the day, and turned out to be a very tricky hide! So much structure, hollows, tree/branches, and rocks/rails to conceal a cache, that had me looking for a good 10 minutes. Trying to consider what the hint could have meant, but also listening to this geocache's description to stay on the ground where I could. In the end, I somewhat gave up, and made a PAF to a previous finder, who quickly remembered this tricky cache, and I made the find not long afterwards. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks hevwalker for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

anymore hints would be appreciated. Wasn’t sure if we should be searching from above or below
Finally found it. Shouldn’t have started on this one, on. I found a few I knew what I was looking for.
Aussie Day holiday outing with Pony1966. Definitely not where we started looking, but Ol's eagle eye spotted it. TFTC
A great day out with Wal&Ol up around Mt Barker. Had to widen the search before ol spotted it, TFTC!
TFTC We were actually Muggles and knew what they were up to. Helped out by a good friendly spot it. So a sneaky cache on the holiday Monday.
TFTC my first find this looks like fun thanks to a good friend for introducing me

Today was a day of caching in and around Mount Barker with JJ52. I think my caching mojo was way off, navigation skills poor (missed both turnoffs to Mount Barker too busy chatting so a bit of a detour to Callington!), cache hunting poor, meaning more than one Paf. But in the end 19 caches found by me and 25 by JJ52. It was a good day out despite the heat. Lots of multis found, lots of churches visited and lots of Mount Barker history gleaned.
A double PAF here meant a quick find on our return. We had completely over thought it, do not overthink!!

Had organised to come up to Mt Barker and surrounds with Michells&hound to find some of the newer caches that we both hadn't found. We had a shaky start, but once we got into the swing we ended up having a successful day, although we had to resort to a couple of PAF's.
The day was mostly spent visiting churches and old buildings and I ended up finding 11 multis the most I have ever found in a day.
This was one we had to PAF after spending way too long looking in all the wrong places once we returned it was a quick find. [^] We had both walked past GZ but discounted it...duh!!
Thanks for the cache hevwalker.

Finally Found It!
This one took several visits to GZ and multiple hints from the owner to find. And I have no idea why, it's so obvious when you see it...

Just been out to check on my cache. Pleased to say it is still in it's original position & logbook is good.
I could certainly feel the aches and pains today while out doing a spot of cache maintenance. Had hiked Warren CP with the CO yesterday.
Out and about with earthlight this arvo... grabbing a few smileys. Replaced the log sheet as promised

The usual Wednesday out with a couple of the Puzzled animals. Consisting of a KORF, Adder and a Rat. The plan was to clear out Mount Barker including a few previous DNF's.
Our last for the day but not our first attempt. The hint said no need to go there however you do need to reach? Ok as the Adder and the Rat were vertically challenged we started our initial search only to be muggled out by a lady asking if we were there to investigate the graffiti. A good excuse the Rat thought so said yes. Discussion ensued along those lines ad libbing and creating nonsense as we went but we soon came to a dead end (we had no idea) and resorted to general talk on the graffiti. We gave up on the cache and went our merry way to the next couple of hides along the walk while contemplating where this one would be.
On our return we still had no luck with the Adder ignoring the hint of no need to go there but went there anyway. It was the only way we could search the upper levels.
A PAF was employed who steered us along the wall to a sneaky hide where reach was required.
Thanks for the sneaky clever hide. Another smiley on the map.

A fish, A Rat and a snake were out on their weekly Wednesday Wanderings.
Today we cached around Mount Barker.
We came we searched. no luck.
Went for a stroll up the path to find other caches and contemplate the hide.
On our return trip to the car, we searched again.
Then The Rat paffed, the cache was located.
This needs a new log. Tftc

A trio of animals went Wednesday Wandering in Mt Barker and have now pretty much cleaned up town.

Found as part of the main aim for the day, to clear Mount Barker of my last 10 unfound traditionals.
Half ended up being nanos , but all were found
This one could do with a fresh log.

Nice quick find for CherryRose and me on a lovely cool summer day. Eliminated other spots very quickly and spotted the hide almost immediately. TFTC Heather. TNLNSL
Quick easy find with Beary Organised on lovely cool day. Very clever hide. TFTC Hevwalker still have a few find to collect around Mt Barker. TNLNSL
