I visited this nice park and monument while staying overnight at Crows Nest while on my way to GCLogan. This was a very attractive monument to our war veterans. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.Answers and photo sent to CO as requested.
What a lovely monument and easy to access. They were planning a talk about the local koalas for the next morning and I got chatting. A nice lady took us out to where some koalas had been seen but although we spent hours and the next day in the vicinity we didn't see one . Had a great time in Crows Nest anyway. Thanks for the EC,
I did this cache a few weeks back but only getting around to logging it now. A very nice park with some interesting sights. The dogs enjoyed the walk through here. Thanks for your efforts in this RoddyC we really enjoyed this.
Headed up to Crows Nest today to do a spot of caching. Had a lovely stroll around the town square taking in the town history. While visiting Crows Nest today we stopped into the park here to complete this Earthcache. It was a great little spot to walk around with plenty of sights to see and look at. We studied the Earthly questions and have sent our answers to the CO. Afterwards we found a spot in the shade for lunch and enjoyed the area a bit longer.TFTC
Really enjoyed looking around this lovely space, finding answers for the AdLab and Multi, as well as this earth cache. Answers sent to CO. Thanks for the cache, and greetings from Ireland! Fav added.
We are here in Qld from England after a 25 year absence, good to see old favourite places again, some things have changed, and some are just the same. Answers soon to be sent to c/o. TFTC
We left Brisbane just after 10am yesterday to meet up with my wife’s friend at a cafe in Toowoomba before heading to lunch at myrtille at crows nest with family who live on land near by.
Spent the night nursing poddy calf’s and Roos and consuming a few beverages.in the morning found a few hours to work on a challenge to have on the radar
Found a safe spot to park the car and headed to ground zero to claims find. Located the cache and put my name into the log and replaced it safely back into its hiding spot
Returned to the car and leaded off to pick up a few more before a lovely lunch.
A big thanks to the cache owner for placing the cache and making it available to be found.
Cheers

Found this one while heading up to walk near Crows Nest. It was good to stop in this park, somewhere I haven’t been since I was a child. I gathered my details and have sent our answers to the cache owner via the message centre.

Hi there RoddyC, we found your cache Memorial Rock today.
Day five touring out from Toowoomba. Today we’re touring to the north. Previous days have seen some great geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better.
A message with the answers to your questions will be forthcoming when we get back to our caravan.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the countryside today, & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Regards
Ian & Penny

#126 Fantastic park and so great to have an Earth Cache there too. It was so fun learning more about the area as well. Answers have been messaged to the CO. TFTC!
Answers sent. What splendid use of rock varieties on this memorial! It would have been easy to not pay attention to it without this informative EC. The rest of the town square is also well worth a stroll and we had a great meal at the Myrtille Restaurant nearby too. FP. TftEC.
Another earthcache on our adventures around Crows Nest for today. Answers sent to the CO. TFTC
Visited whilst spending a lovely weekend in Crows Nest. Answers have been spent to the CO. Thanks RoddyC
We’re taking part in the Rural Safari and as we were going past it gave us a chance to collect this cache… well for the members of Team Wadda Mooli who were yet to find it…
Another cache where I’m the only one yet to log a find…. So after inspecting the required material and taking a great selfie I was back in the car to finalise the safari…

Thanks for bringing us to view the Memorial Rock. Answers to questions sent to co via message. Staying in Crows Nest for a few days with the National Parks Assoc of Qld. Abundance of wild flowers in nearby Hartmann Park. Found with SilverByte
Spent a wonderful weekend camping in Cressbrook and getting to see Australia's famous wildlife up close. On day 2, we popped over to Crow's Nest for supplies. The muggle was waiting so when I failed at the nearby by multi, I gave this earthcache a go. I'm not very good at earthcaches but I'm starting to surprise myself with how much I've learned over the years. Answers sent. TFTC
Logging with permission from RoddyC.
Found late in the afternoon after a day of caching. Beautiful day for it.

Staying in Goomungee for a few days. Finally the sun came out to stay around today! Lunch packed and off we go to visit Crows Nest and surrounds. So excited we got to see a little koala by the side of the road. We stopped nearby and of course he/she scampered up a tree but we got a good picture!

MESSAGED your answers to the COs - but probably wrong .. DOH !!
My geodog Scruffy and I had fun trying to work out what rocks are what (?)
They all look more or less the same to me, and she was no help.
So I tried to get a photo of her near the memorial, blast !! someone is walking their dog past.
Try again, nope did not want to sit on the ground, in the end I sat her up next to the memorial, and photo was taken, just in time though, some kids came along and I could hear, "mum there is a doggy ..."
That's the life of a Geodog ..
All Good .. TFTC ..

Interesting pile of rocks. Looks like his head was broken off at some stage. Who would do that?
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Today I'm heading home after coming up to look after my Mum. I'd planned to get up early and leave about 8:00. When I woke up, this plan had already gone by the board as it was nearly 9:00. So I've been running 2 or 3 hours late all day. I had planned a program of three or so hours of driving, and about 50 caches to get me to Warwick today. Because of the late start, I trimmed my target to 35. By the time I got to Crow's Nest, the weather was showing distinct signs of rain, so I trimmed my target further to 25. I ended up with 29 before I was forced to flee southward in front of the heavy rain. This is my third today, a nice easy earth cache but a very interesting spot. I have MESSAGED my answers. While I'm here, I'm going to clean up the lab caches.
Thanks, RoddyC

Stopped and enjoyed this location as part of a few caches before having lunch nearby. Enjoyed the memorial seats! The shadows were so crisp. Would love to come back with a full shadow in play. Thankyou for the excuse to stop and appreciate the surroundings.

We had a fabulous weekend of Geocaching with buddies out west of Toowoomba. We had an event in Oakey, and then took the opportunity since we were nearby to visit Crows Nest.
The town was quite charming and we stopped there for lunch and an ice cream. We found a number of geocaches along the way.
We have sent out answers for this one too CO.
Thanks RoddyC

Today, the plan was to go west for the day and join the Oakey evening event. I ended up catching up with domsky and E_Smiley in Crows Nest where we completed *Whisperings of Crows Nest* Adventure Lab, and we then proceeded to Cooyar finding a variety of geocaches around that town. After having lunch at the Cooyar Hotel, we took a trip out to Muntapa Tunnels, of which we all seemed to enjoy the history of the old railway tunnel. We returned back to Crows Nest where we had a chance to find a few more geocaches, and then parted ways, when I was able to able to squeeze in the *Ye Olde Crows* Adventure Lab. A journey to Oakey was made via a few of the *Gravel's Travel Safari* series, and after attending the event and having a few conversations, it was time to return back to Brisbane.
Although we had visited this park in the morning as part of the Adventure Lab, I had forgotten about the usual geocache types, such as this EarthCache. Hence, it was a second visit today, and a chance to analyse this memorial in detail. I do find it great that the CO can take geological lessons out of a memorial that ordinarily, you would quickly glance at and then move on. The three rock types were reviewed and considered, and once answers were collected, they were sent to the CO for verification. Thanks RoddyC for the EarthCache placement and organisation.

Found as I meander my way from Adelaide to Cairns.
With no real travel plan and three weeks to get there before I meet up with friends, there has been plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and finding a few selected caches along the way.
That's a big lump of rock!
Thanks RoddyC for another interesting earthcache.

Here for the dawn service and what a great way to capture this cache on this day. My feet are numb, so time to get inside to warm up before the dedication.
Out with triple turmoil this morning working our way around Crows Nest and some of the surrounding areas. I had a few target caches to get and we grabbed a few others as we passed by, what a nice area. I was particularly after the old caches in Crows Nest National Park, a couple for my 360 grid and then a few just because.
We arrived late into crows nest, set up camp, had some dinner and then went on a night time caching adventure. We saw this one and were able to answer the questions easily in the dark.
Thanks for placing this one here, a very different style of earth cache.

I went to Toowoomba to visit a friend. Chamad decided to join me so we could have a 2 day adventure and that we certainly did. This involved hikes, drive-bys, tree climbs and boulder hopping. We saw some amazing natural sites and learned things about the area along the way.
After a day on Toowoomba we headed to Highfields on our way to Crows Nest.
We got to Crows Nest, set up camp then did what we could in the dark - AL'S, multi info collection and an EC.
I had my answer to the first layer but Chamad said something else. Appears I was right - just for something different
Quick stop in Crows Nest for a coffee on the way home from T'ba.
Thanks for showing me such a messy combination of rocks
Cheers
