Gefunden mit davidba94 an einem sonnigen Morgen bei strahlenden Sonnenaufgang! Tanks for the Cache
Quaint quiet little reserve with lovely view of surf beach across the road. Interesting old tree. Tftc
Wouldnt have noticed this reserve was here. Enjoyed exploring the rock pools nearby
great little spot! we camped (legally?) across the road last night and had a wonderful time
Find #681Found while walking Te Araroa - new Zealands long pathway from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Thank you to all the cache owners who place and maintain these caches, and thank you to all the people who help me and others on the way. Lovely spot, chose to walk along the coast instead of following the trail to see the view and find some caches.Took longer than it should of here but I got there in the end
Great location, easy find. Cash is safe, but the paper log is rather wet.
Apart from having fun looking for a cache, we loved the tree growing right in the middle of the road just 20 metres up. Thumbs up to road construction workers who went to the trouble of leaving the magnificent tree where it stood - and instead building a road around it.

Someone's back garden? Yes but no. After lunch in Tutukaka and after an Ad lab. Her art is a little too chocolate box style for me but the one pictured caught my eye. Thanks SaltyCacheNutZ
A nice quick find at a nice quiet wee spot. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Time to head a little further north to Paihia for a couple of nights, before heading home.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Thanks for the interesting snippet of history found signed and replaced as found awesome views from here its a wonderful hot and clear summer day
I've visited Sandy Bay many times but never taken notice of this reserve. Great spot to contemplate the world. Thanks for bringing us here SaltyCacheNutz
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
Quick and easy find. T4TC

Quick find with a coastal breeze, thanks SaltyCacheNutZ. We initialled the log as
15:26 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
The others tracked this one down.
TFTC SaltyCacheNutZ for placing this cache, number 11932 for me.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
Impressive tree.

What a fabulous beach. On a little tiki tour of the Bay of islands from the Bay of Plenty. Nice quick find. Cheers
The freedom camping spot got way too busy yesterday, but cleared out early this morning, so I popped across the road for a super quick find.
Quite random to find a reserve here, but interesting to read the story behind it.
Thanks for putting a cache here

Freedom camping across the road with Flax4 so grabbed this before our beach walk. TFTC
#11,506. I am on a northern road trip to finish off the latest geotour, pick up solved puzzle finals, virtuals, challenges and a sprinkling of other cache types that are close by. After spending the night in Whangarei I have quite a few things planned today before I stop the night in Kaitaia.
An interesting if rather unkempt reserve. I scrambled up a steep slope to access only later spotting the steps buried in the long grass. Found after a short search. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks SaltyCacheNutZ for hiding it here. Interesting to read the history of Kitty Vane. I had heard of Gilbert Mair but not his family. She was quite the adventurer for that era, after the setback of losing her husband.

One of several caches located today as we travelled around the Tutukaka Coast and on to Paihia. Thought about freedom camping across the road from this one this afternoon. Decided to move on but, before we did so, I went after this cache as it was less than 30m away. Took a moment or two to find it. #4629. TFTC.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Found with Fisha1288
Cheers, Cympull.

I am up in Northland for a short break.....and keen to see some beaches along here and pick up any easy caches!
Thanks for sharing about Kitty Vane.
I think this 3 level house was not here when you placed it.
Tree is very lovely but grass is overgrown and it doesn't look like a reserve.

Found it easily, been coming to Woolleys Bay for over 35 years and have never been to that reserve, thanks for highlighting the story of who it is named after
Left the kids on the beach playing and popped across the road to grab this one quickly. TFTC
I have moved my snail shell a bit further south and after parking it up at a friends house I decided to have a look at some nearby beautiful beaches.
This trad got in the way and so I just had to sign it off.
Cheers for the cache.

1119. 2:06 pm. A quick find. My daughter loved the park name so much that she decided the cache was worthy for her first trackable to be dropped. FP. TFT(memorable)C.
Out chasing the AdLab today plus the bonus but we’ve already decided that this is our beach of choice so we had a swim and a boogie board after making the the finds. A nice wee sheltered spot here. A quick find and discovered the tb.

North Island Campervan trip Day 8
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night I was able to spend the night catching up with friends in Kaiwaka before setting off this morning to head up towards Russell in the Bay of Islands. I haven't been there in over 30 years, and was really looking forward to being there again. In the end I didn't quite get that far today, ending up spending a great night near a beach in Whale Bay.
This would end up being my last find for today. It was getting on a bit when I arrived here and I was initially looking at spending the night across the road from this cache, where I parked up. I didn't in the end, but it was still a good place to park to get to this cache which was a nice straightforward find. There were no issues with either the cache or the log, so once I'd done the usual caching requirement I replaced everything back exactly as found.
Thanks for setting up this cache.

Parked across the road for the night so went at dusk to avoid muggles. Great location and really great info about Kitty Vane - more research into her and her work being done tonight!
Finally a sunny day for a day trip from home in Whangarei. Haven’t been GCing for a while. A nice easy find. TFTC
My apologies I've just found the logbook in my Geocache bag. Will be a while b4 I can bring back. Please place a new log paper.
Beautiful surf today with heaps of people in the water. Found after a quick search by R. Lots of treasure but no logbook.
Due to the Covid 19 lockdown & the need for everyone to keep within their "bubble", same reason as playgrounds are off limits, so are physical geocaches until further notice. Try some cracking puzzle/mystery caches, and get find the finals later, when it is safe.
Keep Well everyone!

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
TFTC
No lid but log ok for now.
*Quick look and the hiding location was found.*

Didn't have to sit: cache/film canister in green electrical tape was on the root out in the open with NO lid! I've tucked it up & under but suspect the winter! Good luck.
Film canister now has no lid and is not hanging. I've tucked it up and under a nook in the tree base. An easy find, but is wet weather liable.
After a short airbnb break in Paihia we are making our way home via a slightly longer route than absolutely necessary. Parked opposite the little park and wandered across to check out the view and the picnic table. Soon spotted the cache. Thanks.
After a nice walk about in Ngunguru foreshore we grabbed the twins in the car and headed out for a drive/walk/cache hunt. Some of thos things came to fruition. There was a huge rainstorm at one point as well. Easy find here, on the floor under bench. Placed it safer in base of large tree nearby, might need a CO intervention. T F T C
Day 2 was the first day with Kaela going to work so to help out I offered to drive her in and bring her back. It gave Ed a chance to get the kids ready for the day and me to maybe grab a couple of caches and do a little grocery shopping, good deal all round.
Me and mrs capperz are up in Northland visiting our son, his partner and their four kiddies under 3 years old! Should be fun catching up and seeing how they've come on sice we last saw them 5 months ago in Australia. We headed up via re-locatable car from Wellington to Auckland Airport, via Whanganui overnight at daughter's, then swapped into our own hire car from Saturday until we head back to Marlbro next Wednesday evening. Not too many caching targets, but a few possibilities and hope to get the Virtuals as we pass them.

Found sitting on the corner of the picnic bench out in the open- no lid, but still in OK condition.
After a night with the camper nearby it was time for a cache. The cache was easy to find, but missed a lid and was lying on the ground. Put it back hanging, but needs maintanance
We are nuts!!! Found on the ground in the dark. The school holidays are here and NosyNel and I are on a road trip north - to the far north. TFTC. Signed NNES.

Day six of our 11 day binge trip we are signing as NNES. We are heading up North visiting our friend Gracie's GPS fun. We had tea at Subway and decided to find 6 easy ones off the main drag before we stopped for the day. Last one. It's too dark and late to continue.
Yay school holidays! Time for a road trip with my friend Ethness. I flew from Christchurch to Wellington. The idea is to drive up to the top of the North Island and back. We planned the trip ages ago.
Thanks SaltyCacheNutZ for placing this geocache 7793 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.

Lovely easy find on a lovely sunny day. Almost got trumped by the child proof cap. Thanks for planning the cache. I love how we learn about places and people as we find caches. Stayed at the freedom camping spot and didn't even notice this wee reserve
Couldn't resist another easy find in the area. Love the way the road splits around the tree. I've got a nice line of smiles out here now. I need to do the Matapouri/Whale Bay area next. That looked like too big a mission for today. Thanks for your cache
Found under a short stop before a visit to wonderful Whale Bay
