Smile Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we had stayed the night nearby & were now heading North again took to the back-roads just to nab a couple of caches they both turned out to be easy finds, log-books completed & replaced as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,409 for us!

17-Oct-24
Took Heidi the Himalayan motorcycle for an overnight adventure, with the primary purpose to cache out the seaward side of SH1 south of Rakaia to the Ashburton River. After a largely productive day one and a night spent at Hakatere Campsite, a neat little unattended patch of grass on the side of a dead-end road right on the coast, I rose like the Undead to consume several coffees and continue my mid-week weekend mission.Day two consisted of many more kilometers of sealed and unsealed country roads, heading south to visit a Parental, then striking inland via the scenic route back to Home Base.TFTC

An easy find. The guy on the tractor down the road must have thought we were a bit weird as we drove passed the cache and had to back up again.

28-Apr-19
Second cache on my way to Timaru for dinner, mum's night out. The name made perfect sense when I got to GZ. Had overshot it so had to turn around and go back. Quiet road and I was back in my car before anyone drove past to take any notice of what I was doing. Got almost to the end of the road before remembering I wanted to take a photo to remember the cache by.
Thanks for the hide.

20-Jul-18
The log was as Team_Gaters said but worse. I was carrying replacement waterproof ones so have removed the mush. This one should last a while. Great container! #3083

14-Jul-18
Was initially planning a trip to Geraldine tomorrow (Sunday) to bike the river trails but forecast rain made me come today (Saturday). Frosty morning but a lovely sunny day. Bit late leaving home but all good. Will see how many I can find!
After completing the river trail Geraldine and finding a quick snack for tea it was time to head for home. Cut across to the main road to avoid the frosty iceness of the inland road. Snuck in this sideroad to make the couple finds along it. Silage rolls already had a layer of frost on top - made it easy to have a running slide over the top! Log mush - managed to just leave a mark. With the bicycle on teh back I couldnt access a replacement log from the car boot sorry! It'll need replacing.

07-Jul-18
A quick grab behind the silage roll on the way south. Interesting, Enable in the neighbourhood eh? Cheers

Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

A quick race out before going to help with a few things before Christmas.
I was surprised to get to the first one and find that I was indeed [FTF]
Tftc

2nd tf. Grrrr.
These popped up while pat was doing his rounds so didn't expect a ftf , but when I finished still no log . quick dash home to check on the kids and back out the door on the hunt left the kids finishing the jobs I had set
Pulled up at gz and still nothing finally extracted the log to to find another name had take ftf grrrrr.
Txt the culprit to thank him for my hopes being dash (at which he had a Lol moment and promptly logged his find).
Ah well save the other one for tomorrow on the way to the races. Better get back and check on the kids . look forward to the rest in the series tftc
