TwigNZ and I spent a few hours in Feilding after popmac's "Calling the Troops" ANZAC Day meet&greet event two days ago, and we decided today to continue the adventure!I was keen to pick TwigNZ's brains as a previous finder, but it appears 4+years is too long for him to remember where the cache has been hidden. We located the Miracle margarine container, but no cache It's interesting how the tree has grown into the fence wired over time
This cache has been taken over by JoeyGE0. I no longer live in the area. Many thanks to JoeyGe0
Found it this evening on a dog walk at 2115hrs. My dog loved the walk as much as Barkley.
First traditional find of this short 'homecoming' trip. Was visitng family nearby so why not go for a couple of caches. Loved the climb up the tree to get to the spot. TFTC
Awesome bud, wasn’t able to write in it because my partner and I forgot a pen!!
Got this one first at the start. Nicely hidden out of sight behind the large ones, though the camo was aside when I located the container. Rehid a little better with wood on top.
Onto the second part of my day and a catch up with Tommygun9 for some finds together. Just the 5 but a tricky field puzzle completed, as well as another Multi for the day, that's quite a few today.
After a relative famine of caches for me recently due to a number of factors I planned to head to Feilding and catch up with tommygun9 for a few mutual search targets, I was in two minds of what to get up to prior though, I was keen for some fishing to maintain a recent trout-less sequence (it continued!) and settled on another trip up the beautiful Pohangina Valley, it sure does turn on the style come Autumn. I've managed to track down some/most of the Wildbore Multi finals too and was keen to cache in those numbers.
A modest haul of 11 caches up the valley and 5 more in Feilding later in the day and a good day to be out and about. Then bumped into Edvern out at the wetlands entrance and a nice catch up with her and her husband. Thanks to all COs for their hides today.

This cache was quickly found by capperz at a likely location.

A break from studying for tomorrow's exam was needed and capperz had suggested a short caching mission. I checked for and local clusters of mutually unfound caches and spotted a couple in this corner of Feilding. It was an enjoyable little outing before heading back for more study (I passed if you're reading this and wondering).

Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache
Found after a short search. Was with Crystal Fairy as we headed up to Palmerston North for a weekends caching. TFTC
What a neat little spot this is. Thank you for bringing us here!
After a quick find from Arcane Junior we went down to investigate the creek before moving onto the next cache.
TFTC laurathewhit!

Parked on the other side of the stream, but had our tramping shoes on, so was able to then as the stream was very low, cross over the stepping stones and then begin to search for the cache. Cache soon found, signed & replaced as found, and then retreated across the stream, up the bank to the car. Nice to have a bit of off road adventure. TFTC
(# 6574). Up to Feilding to attend a CITO event and getting some caches on the way. A quick find this time now the container has been replaced. Many thanks. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.
Barkley’s Corner is back up and running with a new container in the same coordinates (thereabouts....the kids have placed it)!
Heading back to the East Coast after a week of work in Whanganui. Thought I would make it a leisurely trip and collect a few smileys on the way. Enjoyed exploring Friendly Fielding. This tree and the fence have a very close relationship. Several times the wire completely disappears. Cache all fine. Thanks
How good to be out on the hunt again! Quick find today, the terrain was the biggest challenge. TFTC
Day 2 of the Covid-19 isolation.
To make things worse, it's been raining today (Yay for that), and that puts a dampener on a pretty miserable time.
Fortunately the rain stopped and I was able to get out for today's afternoon walk. Even more people about walking the streets than yesterday so I guess they're also feeling cooped up with the kids and dogs. The exercise has to be good for us. Certainly it is for me. 3.5km each way is a good walk.
Just in time too as it's starting to rain again as I write this up. TFTC
I added a zip-lock bag for the log to keep it dry.

The excuse of attending an event to earn a digital souvenir to celebrate the palindromic date seemed like an ideal opportunity to come up to Feilding to catch up with some friendly faces, and grab a few caches whilst I was up here, such as this one.
I teamed up with searchsteve to look for this cache. Having parked up close by GZ, it only took a few moments to find the cache. Nicely out of sight of potential Muggle eyes, the log was soon signed and replaced exactly as found before heading off to the next one.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Found by TWIGNZ as I was too slow. I enjoyed visiting this nice peaceful location after the 0202 event at Timona Park...

Sorry for the delay (moves out of town) but the geocache has been replaced now with a fresh log book! Thanks everyone.
No luck here for us today gps was bouncing all over the place had a good look but wasn’t able to come up trumps
Had found this one before, before it was archived and restarted. Still a nice quiet spot, and a quick find.
A quick easy find in a location we have found a cache previously. As the cache was only a plastic bag, with now dry logs in it, we removed the old logs which had dried into solid lumps, leaving just the current log which was fine, and placed this in a Berocca container. TFTC
Lo tengo 1030hrs!
It took Seb's agile frame to scale the arboreal stairs to GZ and uncover the cache. It's a great spot here by the creek with these massive trees to guard the hide.
Unfortunately the container is missing, just the plastic bag remains with a soggy log and no swaps - disappointing! We are only visiting so we don't have anything to repair the cache, hoping the CO can do something soon.
Cheers from Oz

i had to visit feilding today for an appointment so planned a couple of caches to visit over there. This was one and once on the right side it was quickly retrieved, signed and returned. although getting down the road was a bit of a mission with the road works digging up the side etc .
Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.

I had called here some years ago and found an older cache - called again this afternoon and found this one fairly quickly. The lack of maintenance is rather disappointing, the original container has gone and the logs in plastic bags on the ground are just not going to last. Where is the CO? - your attention is needed!
Haven't managed to fit in any caching since the WENZ Mega so headed over to Feilding this morning to grab a couple of caches and give Jr. Cacher #1 a driving lesson on the open road while traffic was light.
Have found a cache located near here previously so the area was somewhat familiar and it didn't take long to find the hidden log. As previous finders have mentioned the paper is in somewhat of a sorry state and was too damp to sign so added a sheet of waterproof paper in its own ziplock bag. TFTC.

as the last person said its only in a plastic bag and was very wet
A bit of a geocaching weekend for us and at times we joined forces with other teams so logs have been signed either 2 Bulbars, 2x, bwx depending on how many in the team had signed the log before.
The weekend started midday Friday and finished about 6 pm sunday. We didn't go too hard and stopped for sleeps and good meals basing ourselves in Feilding . The weather was good all weekend although it did rain a little bit at night.
Many thanks to all the COs who placed these caches making it possipble for us to enjoy our hobby.
I must say sorry for all the cut and paste but if we really enjoyed a cache I will add a bit at the start of the comment so you don't need to read right through.
Thanks to our driver who supplied the car and the good person who put a thermos and a few snacks in the car for us so we could keep our strength up

Team BOP are still going strong after knocking off 155 caches yesterday.
We have made it into Fielding and concentrating on a few targeted caches or ones in close succession.

Team BOP on tour in the Manawatu-Whanganui Region... With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, McJandals, NZFlossy, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro.
This weekend had been in the pipeline for ages. It was always going to be a mission for various team members to get coordinated leave passes... We secured accommodation in the rural heart of the Manawatu. This placed us well within reach of a massive trail of caches... We travelled in one vehicle, so our journey was filled with lots of laughs, and good times... Fortunately, the majority of caches were in place and were fairly quick to locate - thanks to straightforward hints and great coordinates. Many of the caches had not been found in a while, so containers were waterlogged, and logbooks were wet... Thank goodness for waterproof paper. A huge thank you also, to the various COs who made our weekend worthwhile... TFTC.

Road trip time again! This weekend Team BOP consists of Davidson Clan, TNXPro, Squirrelnutcase, FapAndGap, McJandals, NZFlossy & myself. We had a very narrow list of ‘must gets’ so this trip was essentially a numbers mission. As with these trips, most of the caches were found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and straight forward placements. We replaced some logs and containers but most had water proof paper and were all good. A huge thank you to the co’s as this was a beautiful area to visit and there was certainly an abundance of geocaches!!
Everything was fine here, TFTC.

On a road trip with Team BOP, having a blast and gathering a few smileys along the way. Please excuse generic logs in advance. Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placements. Cheers Log very wet and no container just bag.
On a road trip with Team BOP to Feilding. Set off Friday night and back home Sunday. Lots of caches and lots of laughs with great weather and great scenery. Thanks to all the COs for giving us a awesome trip
Arrived here to find a woman in the back yarn of a nearby property loading a wheelbarrow with some firewood. Had to wait a while until the way was clear, then soon found the log placed in a safe position without a container. Log signed and returned to where we found it.
Another good find for us today, while driving through the area.
Soon found the plastic bag and damp log. SL TFTC
Note: still needs new container.

Found the logbook and a butterfly lying on the ground, but no container. Logbook was very wet of course but I just managed to sign it. I had a spare zip lock bag with me so put the logbook and butterfly in that, under a small block of wood. Will need CO to check please.
Had tried to find it earlier in the week but construction had scared me off. Found easily enough, container is hard to open and log is smelly and wet - i think it will need a replacement cache very soon.
#10,017. After our DNF last month, we got a hint from a previous finder. So on this nice Easter Sunday, we returned to Feilding for another look. GZ was pretty quiet when we visited. Quick find this time. It was at a spot we had looked briefly last time, but dismissed it as not likely. So obviously we had not looked well enough. The cache was a very apt container, but it was quite wet inside. Tried to dry the log out a little in the sun. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Replaced as found.

Had a quick look but it was time to go home for lunch so DNF. Will come back again when in this area.
Searched for a while at the corner. Located a couple of likely hiding spots, but not the cache.
