Had a wee visit to Pirongia market and then head up Ngaroto to walk the geopooch and catch up with some geocaching.Nice spot. Dry log. Tucked away tidily for next finder
Stage 3 of our trip is a few days on the North Island of New Zealand. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find. Day 1 Quick find at the Airport when arrived before we headed down to Pirongia to say with friends. Day 2 I spotted a multi in Hamilton which took us on a tour of street art. So we headed into town for a stroll around. After lunch, a walk was in order so we stopped at Lake Ngaroto and walked and geocached around.
My first time visiting Lake Ngaroto...and I will be back; what a lovely walk.A nice, quick find...although I did overshoot the GZ by 150m as I was distracted!!!Thanks iammrwalker#5344
First find of this walk around the lake on this beautiful day! Thanks for the cache

We are back in New Zealand to have the holiday we should have had 4 years ago, Covid-19 put an abrupt end to that holiday.Out by myself today for a stroll around Lake Ngoroto. The weather when Iset off was very miserable but it all brightened up when I got to the lake. It only started raining again when I was about 500m from the car.Greetings from the UK.Arrived at GZ and it had started to drizzle so on went the jacket. I was not too sure as to what the hint meant but I went to search an area the resembled a V. A quick search and I had the cache in hand.Log signed and cache replaced as found. Thanks to iammrwalker for placing.Find 5 of 6Total finds 3712
#14,962. At the conclusion of the nearby Rattll'n around for 20 years event in Te Awamutu, Waikato, a group of us went rambling around Lake Ngaroto to attempt a number of newly published caches and other ones that had been around for a while. This was one of them. There were quite a few walkers, runners and cyclists on the track, but the GZ itself was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log (as Team 20 or T20 as the group name for the new caches, and with individual names for existing caches).*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*

I didnt have a pen to sign the paper but definitely found it! Kids were excited to find it
Daddypig found this one for us. We braced ourselves for him to gloat about it.
Out doing the Lake Ngaroto Loop on a scorcher day. By now, I was fairly hot and tired, so very relieved to spot a familiar (almost default) hiding place as I approached GZ. Sure enough, an instant find. All good in the container, returned as found. Tftc!
Thanks for bringing us to Lake Ngaroto. Only had time to walk to this cache. Looks like a fun track to bike.
Our ninth cache for the day, coming to the end of the lake circuit. Found this one without too much difficulty.
First cache on our walk around the lake. MrB called this one from some distance away … and was right!
We stayed here overnight in our campervan. So we couldn’t leave this place without finding these ones!

Greetings from BC, Canada.
We are a family of 5 on vacation in New Zealand. Cachers in the family include BeesKnees34, SOB_4M, AlexBN16 and me. We have been enjoying the beautiful landscape and visiting some awesome locations.
Stopping along the way to grab some cool caches. We targeted high favourite, old caches, different cache types and some other caches along our routes.
Nice quick find on our walk around the lake.
Thanks iammrwalker for the fun cache!

Nice easy find, thanks
A little snail was hanging out on the cache, didn’t want to disturb. Good hide!
We followed tracks deep into the grass when GZ was pretty close to the fence and path.
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We are now in the North Island of New Zealand for two weeks seeing family and finding caches.
iammrwalker, I found Ngaroto -Clearing today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

A quick find here, and it looks like we've chosen a good day indeed!.Over from the UK visiting family in Te Kuiti, exploring the north island and caching! So we're taking trips where we stay for a few days/week at a time before moving on to somewhere else or a few places before going back to spend time with family and back out again on another adventure. Having just done a trip to Cambridge and the Bay of Plenty we've gone back to Te Kuiti. Looking like it was going to be a nice day we set the plan to walk the lake with J's mum and sister. Caching with Louf71.(Sorry for the very very late Log, between limited Data, some issues with our travel, some personal issues and a build up meaning the ADHD couldn't cope tackling these but finally getting logged Please forgive)
Stayed the night and took a stroll around the lake and cleaned up a few caches'Cheers
Tyfc, been a long dry spell for me, then when starting up , a string of DNFs, thanks for an easy satisfying cache find
Out for a Sunday afternoon drive - aka picking up a few geocaches - and we picked up a few in Te Awamutu, Pirongia and then over here. Quick find here, TFTC
Decided to book the caregiver for Junior cacher.....first time since the Covid-19 lockdown starting August 2021, and headed down here for a cycle and to collect a few caches about......
Continued on around the lake seeing more dead fish baking in the sun making the smell stronger........
Had to travel in this clockwise direction as we were cycling...as per the sign at the start....
