I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi salvation army

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Labour Weekend means a camper van holiday. Morning tea stop. A great place to sit and relax.

Thanks salvation army for placing this geocache 7889 find for me.

Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

(:-) On holiday from UK visiting family here in Ashburton. Tried to find this one last August 2018 when we were here. As previous finder said, the log sheet was rather dam and I am sorry that I did not have a spare log sheet with me. However I just managed to find a slightly dry bit to sign. My log reads "3/10/19 G/Col" G/Col short version of GreenColonel. Put everything back as I found it. TFTC

So here I am over the Queens Birthday weekend on a 2000km work road trip visiting six of our South Island branches between Nelson and Wanaka performing server upgrades as I go.

A quick loop around my hotel area to seek out a couple of caches: 1 find and 1 DNF so far, but at least this find here keeps me in the positive.

Thanks salvation army

Hadn't been out caching for the day with mum in forever, so had arranged today as a day to colour in the calendar a bit more, and find a whole bunch more caches if possible.

We ended up with about 40 for the day, along with a few DNFs, and ended up somehow all the way in Ashburton - that was not fully expected - but the places caching takes you! Haha!

Was so great to tick so many off, and great to just have a day of annual leave off motherhood too, while hubby looked after little miss 2, so I could head out & play! Razz

Thanks to all the COs that we could have this day!

TFTC!! Smile

Geocaching date with daughter for the whole day, yipee! The hardest part was to aim for those neither of us has found, so there was a slight overlap. Great fun and good chats along the way. TFTC!!

We'd been down to visit my wife's parents on their 67th wedding anniversary and I still needed a cache today for my streak. This was the closest and the thundery weather appeared to be here.
The find was quick, and so was the signing of the (slightly damp) log. I made it back to the car just as the rain started!

24-Nov-18
To continue with my personal challenge of having found a minimum of 10 caches for every day of the year I needed to find 2 caches today to bring my total finds for the 24th November to 10.

Having earlier found my 2 required caches for the day I was now in 'bonus' cache time. As I headed back to the travel trailer I found myself driving down the street passing this cache's GZ. How could I not stop and sign for another smilie? Razz Thanks for cache salvation army.

At first I thought this one had gone AWOL but then I spied it. What a bold hide - amazing that it stays there. Gave it a bit of natural camo. TFTC salvation army # 12,857

Monday night Mad Mission night with TheWanglers. Due to one thing or another it's been a couples weeks since our last adventure....so a bit of drizzly rain couldn't put us off (well; to be honest, it almost did)....Decided to head Ashburton way for a cache or two & a good catch up natter along the way (and head back before it got too late).
DNF last time we were here - had to have been muggled last time as it was a quick find today in the obvious spot. Thanks for maintaining.....

17-Jun-18
Nice easy find. Thanks

Find number 4001. I was down for the Indoor Bowls in Ashburton and we were on the way to the stadium to start play for the day. Yesterday I had taken our group (mostly muggles) on a bit of excursion (see log on cache GC7Q8JX Limestone Cottage I promised them a simple find. We were able to park up right beside GZ. Walk a few metres. Grab the cache and return. Thank you for the placement.

This one has probably gone. I searches several other nearby hiding objects including some on the other side of the road. Blowing up the map and looking at the satellite view the icon is on the feature that I concentrated on. The hiding place that fitted the description is exposed to inquisitive children and has probably been discovered by them. The cache has been found frequently until the end of February and nothing since, another indication that it is gone as lots of people do not like to log a DNF.

31-Mar-18
Fun and easy to find

26-Mar-18
No luck today!

26-Mar-18
Monday night mad mission with TheWanglers. After performing some maintenance on caches along Thompsons Track we detoured in to Ashburton to find a cache or two before returning home. GPS pointed to a good looking tree...and we found a snug spot at ground level with a few twigs/sticks (covering camo?) next to it but no cache. AWOL or else our torches gave us tunnel vision and we over looked a better spot hiding the cache nearby?....

27-Feb-18
We were pleased that we had the park to ourselves, it might be more difficult at the weekend. TFTC

26-Feb-18
Fun and easy to find

TFTC SL. Easy find. The cache container was full of water and I could see how it was supposed to work but it was broken. Which made the log book difficult to remove. Replaced as found. Fun having another cache close to home.

06-Feb-18
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a Waitangi Day excursion to mid Canterbury, concentrating on the area between SH1 and the Rangitata and Ashburton rivers.
We enjoyed the variety of cache containers we found as we slowly made our way to the domain for the event. TFTC.

On a waitangi day mission to the big city to get some numbers . have set myself a target of 5000 finds by the end of the year ,thats an average of 106 a month so a few more road trips on the cards luckily the rain has stopped
after a full day caching it was time to head home but first a few new ones in ash vegas then on to the local event
nice quick find tftc

04-Feb-18
A peaceful spot and we just knew it had to be there!!!! Love that kind. The container was very hard to manage, especially putting the log back in. Thanks.

Got the notification of a new cache and was watching a movie and thought well the movie can wait so off I go.
Approaching gz I seen someone quickly jump back in their car and I thought bugger I missed it but upon finding and opening the cache I opened an empty logbook.
Made the sign and just as I was pulling away another car pulled in, maybe someone else trying for the ftf?
Another [FTF] to add to my count for the year and another one closer to my caching goals tftc
