I’m in Brisbane for work and finally have a night off. After a lovely walk along the river I stopped off to learn some history. TFTC
That’s such a cool find. We got it spontaneously after a nice little dinner. No pen but will come back and sign it off again!
My last geocaching adventure into town was a few months back with Crookedpete and JezNDez. On that occasion we had visited one of the virtual caches we had passed by but between the three of us had inexplicably all failed to record the required information for one of the questions. My primary purpose today was to head back in to town to collect that missing info. With that task completed I continued my walk across to South Bank where I was able to visit a few Adventure Labs and physical caches including this one.
The muggles were laying nice today and they left me alone around GZ long enough to make the retrieval and sign the log unobserved. TFTC

First signature in the new log! Great hiding spot… when the muggles aren’t looking!! TFTC
Found small space in between 2 logs to write my note as there were no spaces left to Wright in cronological order. Sorry for bad spelling

Very busy around here tonight so we had to be sneaky!
Also we took the last space on the log, we didn't have any paper to replace, sorry!

Second find from this series of the night. Quite tricky with muggles right behind us, but hopefully we were inconspicuous enough to not appear obvious. Again, no pen, so please accept photo of the log.
Finally catching up on back logs. Family day out as Team B.
Weekend to tidy up caches in the city area.
Nice quick find. TFTC

Out for a stroll while waiting for my daughter at tafe…. Log is nearly full.
TFTC!

Beautiful spring-like day. Enjoyed reading all the info. What a glorious city we live in. Construction going on nearby. Three men engrossed in drilling holes (with one drill). Comparing techniques?
After finding a couple of similar caches this one was quickly found.
Found while visiting friends in a break between Victorian lockdowns.
Thanks for the cache!

Beautiful view of the river at night time after a walk through Mt Cootha and dinner at Southbank with Captain Terror. TFTC!
Took a while but we eventually found the cache. Slightly less muggles at night! TFTC
Another easy find on this lovely day!
We looked just about everywhere else before our hands landed on this. There’s plenty of muggles about but GZ makes it easy to disguise your actions (mostly!). EatAllThePie made the find!
We’re glad to have an opportunity to sit in the sun, by the river and enjoy the day. TFTC!

Found this one after searching all other possible surfaces... always the way! TFTC
Found this a couple of nights ago. No I didn’t lok suspicious at all running my fingers around everywhere
A beautiful Iggy for a stroll, waiting for the lunar eclipse and hunting down a few caches in the process. TFTC
Another in this series ticked off. Even though a busy Saturday, no one else at gz. Tftc
So easy to grab this one and read the history at the same time while keeping an eye on the working party nearby. All is good here with this cache.
Great hide... had to look busy reading the plaque while trying to be discreet but still had to give one young girl a rundown in geocaching cos she was watching us like a Hawk!! TFTC . Wonderful to have something pleasant to do while our son is in surgery!
Went for another lunchtime walk with the work caching crew. Took a couple of work muggles with us this time to try and get some more converts. A fair few people walking along the paths and heaps of people swimming but no one was hanging around GZ. A quick stealthy search came up with the goods. Another great urban hide. On to the next one. TFTC
Attending dinner with the family I had some time to kill prior to meeting up so thought a walk along the river would be lovely. Approaching this area I realised I still had a southbank cache left undiscovered so headed to the GZ. Approaching GZ I knew very quickly where the cache should be and thought this would be a quick endeavour. A quick search and I came up empty. After reading a few logs I knew exactly what I was looking for, but was still unsure as to where it was. A more thorough search, and avoidance of the wasp nest and wasps flying nearby, cache was located. Took a seat, took in the view, signed the log and replaced as found.
Such a beautiful spot! TFTC.

SUPER clever cache to find. Love the information on this sign as it outlines a slice of Brisbane's History. This is such a beautiful location that overlooks Brisbane City, Brisbane River and QUT Gardens Point.
As I headed into Southbank while DFC was working to look for a spot to place the next instalment of out Brisbane Ferries Series. I quickly found this cache to keep our streak going. I found this cache in a matter of minutes but had to wait for some muggle workmen to leave the worksite, I started to read the information on the sign. Once I had the cache in hand, I quickly signed the log and replaced as found, while dodging a wasp nest on the sign.

Be careful of the wasps. I like being taken to these types of places. I’ve run past this sign countless times but never stopped. TFTC

We came to this area to do an Adventure Lab cache as part of the Dayboro Mega. I picked where the cache would be before we got there, but it was still a bit tricky to find. It was a clever cache in an interesting area.
The coordinates have been updated, and with a slight move, the cache is good to go again. Hopefully there will be no more work in the area. Cache on!

At the moment, the area is still under wraps while the boardwalk is being repaired. We are watching this one, and will enable as soo as it is good to go again.
So lovely to find this cache. Certainly a nice hide, but the view made it all the more spectacular! Thanks for the cache Domsky!
We walked past here today and the area is still under lockdown with maintenance happening at GZ. As soon as the area is reopened, we will enable this one again.
GZ is currently surrounded by construction fencing, while they do some maintenance to the walkway. We will keep checking on this on a regular basis and enable as soon as it is possible to be there again.

It would be a shame if this one was gone. I know what to look for but I can't find anything around the GZ.
Interesting info though especially on this 10th anniversary of the 2011 floods.

This was our third and final cache for the day in the area. Initially I could not find this cache. I wandered over to the waterpark to call in the assistance of Lady Thrips. As per usual, she quickly spotted the container. TFTC!

After going to the movies Sour_lemom and I walked down here to grab this cache before it started raining. Had to wait for some muggles to pass but found the cache no problem. TFTC!
We found ourselves around Southbank because my mum and sister had gifted all members of our family with a Mystery Picnic as a Christmas present. A mystery picnic is almost like a multi where you have to solve puzzles to pick up your next item of food from a shop or bar and I highly recommend it. There just isn’t any coordinates.
We walked to West End and then back to Southbank and whenever we had to stop in a bar to pick up some grub we also imbibed in a drink. Somewhere we ordered a platter of beers that weren’t even good enough to clean the toilet with but we were all pleasantly bubbling when it came time to eat.
It blew my mind to find there is an area of Southbank where you are allowed to drink piss in the park because we had carted a wheely fridge the whole way chocked full of wine. We spread out the picnic blanket and all fed down on the pickings. We also cracked bottles of Chardonnay and bubbles to celebrate the festive season. Before you go to hard, the Chardonnay we drank was the good kind, not the Dan Murphy’s stuff you can use as a euphenasia supplement.
There was live music playing and we had a phat time looking over the river drinking wine and eating. On the way back to the train station we stopped in for this cache and my mum was keen to see what we spend our weekends doing. When she saw the cache she seemed non-plussed and then asked if there was any wine left. tftc
