As others have said, co-ords are a few metres off but found after a scout around. TFTC
#13,434. I had some cache maintenance overdue so headed over to the Hutt Valley to get those sorted out, While over here I stopped to do this one. Much easier to find when the trees have lost their leaves. Still had to check quite a few to spot it. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks GLAD-NZ for the cache.
All found as it should be and did not take long despite a number of possible hosts. TFTC
We were heading south as we near the end of our fantastic tour of the north island. I noticed there were a couple of puzzles nearby that I have solved but we were not sure how to get to them. But we figured a way and we ended up parking fairly close to this cache. We initially went to the wrong line but soon moved over and made a quick find.
We are in the North Island to try to complete the PWGT Tahi section so we are having to head to the far north. Along the way we will pick up a few other caches that take our interest such as those with lots of favourites or size large or letterbox caches or some that will just help us to fulfil some of the various challenges we are working on.
We are really enjoying the places we are visiting and the knowledge we are gaining through the tour, we just wish we had more time to explore these areas further. I guess once we retire that wish will come true.
With the new souvenir challenge we need to use the app to log the finds, but as I like to waffle on and write my stories on my laptop I am writing these while back at the campervan.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Easy find. Co-ords off by about 3m as cache owner states below. Easy enough find. TMTC.....
Hide object and container was gone so replacement container placed at base of one on new hide objects. Chords approx within 3m
We spotted some great blackberries near here and so had a double focus for our walk. We had some pots in the car, which made excellent containers. The cache was found safe and sound as well.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I hadn't been to Upper Hutt since WENZ over a year ago, but this evening found myself here with a friend in order to attend a production from a local AmDram group and had half an hour to spare so wanted to grab a cache and this one was the nearest to where we had just eaten.
Good co-ords and a concise Hint ensured an immediate find at GZ. No problems with container or contents so the log was swiftly signed and the whole lot replaced exactly as found before continuing on our riverside walk.

On my way thought to Wellington for the day thought to get some more caches to help with the 35 to get for the current mystery at the museum challenge. Easy find. Thanks for the cache
One of 18 caches located today on an enjoyable bike ride along the Hutt River trail (mostly) from Upper Hutt to Pomare Station. Back on the eastern side of the river after finding a few caches on the other side. Found this one reasonably quickly. #2494. TFTC.
Had done the other half of this trail the other day and thought i would try to finish it today. TFTC
Find #2939. An epic day of cycling and geocaching in the Upper Hutt Region, attempting to capture as many remaining Traditional caches as possible to clear the map. Started at Petone, catching the Wairarapa train with the bike, for a pleasant 25min and inexpensive $6.50 journey, alighting at Maymorn Station. Cycled some 40km in often 26 degree plus heat, returning to Petone via the general route of the Hutt River Trail but with many deviations. Particularly enjoyed the upgraded sections of cycle trail, smooth asphalt where once there was gravel.

22297 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we visited Wellington mountains . Nice walk through the botanic garden, nice view on victoria mountain. Than to the 5-2000 cache on the other side of the water.
From there we dorve to Masterton, stopping many times for caches and lookouts on the road. In featherton the Locomotive museum and other caches.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Some were too humid to write clearly. Muggles did not watch what we were doing.
On the paralel road there were some caches to be found.

This is more or less a repeat of yesterday's log except that I was driving to Carterton to return the documents I picked up yesterday. I stopped here for a look on the way out. It was nice and early again, and there were plenty of cars heading into Wellington for their daily commute. I was happy to be heading in the opposite direction.
I parked a little to the North of the cache and walked about 100 m back to GZ. The cache is in the logical place. I found it quite quickly and got the business done.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

Last cache for the day. After a brief search cache was soon in hand. All in good order. TFTC.
This was the eighth day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega. Today I got a few caches that I really wanted, then had a break to meet up with my son.
I looked in the usual places and eventually found the cache. TFTC.

We decided we would travel to WENZMEGA via the Wairarapa and return via the Akatarawas, caching along the way, but in a reasonably leisurely, pick and choose kind of way.
It was a great event but we needed to head back home by this afternoon so couldn't quite stay until the end. We headed into the Akatarawas by early afternoon and had pretty good driving conditions, although the road is certainly very narrow in places - an SUV and we had to wriggle slowly to get past one another in one spot! At least it's a sealed road all the way!
This cache was practically opposite where we were staying - in a straight line. So we chose to leave Upper Hutt that way - up to SH2 and north along by the river. We managed to pull off the highway all right, while lots of traffic whizzed by. Mr G soon found the cache, and we continued on. TFTC

In Wellington for WENZ 2018 Mega Event. Nice afternoon stroll in the area and I am GLAD to get this hide too! TFTC
Quick find, TFTC GLADNZ.
Mega Saturday, and Capperz and I have a few goals for the day. All lab caches to solve, plenty of events targeted to get to, and the most different types in a day for me. Add in that a bit of pathtag swapping (finally!), and it was pretty successful.
First mega for me, and loved the experience. Kept bumping into a few familiar faces on our travels and met a few new ones as well. One of the highlights was a blat up and down the Hutt River on our bikes. A good idea to pack these in the back of the car after all, although it did mean we could not take any extra passengers for the weekend. We also didn’t embarrass ourselves at the quiz later on in the evening. Thanks to all COs, especially those keeping maintenance up on their caches especially for the event.

#16230. We were in the area, so stopped to find this one before getting back on SH2. TFTC.
Found this while out with Team DnF (Drive n Find) during the WENZ Mega Event. A pretty quick find. But aren't they all when you've got five pairs of eyes looking. Thanks!

Time to break the bikes out for an hour or so and grab a few caches as we head along. This was bike ride one of two for the day and a real good idea to bring bikes from Marlborough (even if my brakes don't work well!). T F T C GLAD-NZ
Day 1 of the actual MEGA. It's the Saturday and both ricardinho.nz and I were awake early in our respective accommodations and keen as can be to getcon the trail nice and early. We were in the car before 0700 and breakfast at Maccas got us underway prior to a real busy day. We had a River Hutt-side cycle, the events and registration at Cossie Club earlyish before racing off to get all the details required for the Lab caches, attend a few associated events, another bike-ride along the nice and flat Hutt river-side. Finally there was a Flashmob before a 'few more' then the Geo-quiz where the upper South did nicely in a podium position - PHEW! What a day!!
The big day(s) has/have arrived. It's MEGA weekend in Wellington region and the culmination of lots of hard work by the organising committee. Also, not to be forgotten, are the caches of the local, and not so local COs, which help the game to continue and enable the enjoyment of others.
The trip has been planned for a while now and the Blenheim contingent of Ricardinho.nz and myself are coming over early on Friday morning on the Bluebridge ferry (after an early morning (non-) 'event') before returning on same mode of transport on Monday lunchtime.
We didn't manage much caching on the Friday but made up for that with 3 good days after and over 100 finds for the weekend to boost my Wellington region finds past my Nelson region ones and even giving my previously prolific Auckland numbers a 'nudge'.
Over the weekend there was plenty of socialising, sharing of ideas, opinions and interesting conversations and a podium spot for the Geosaders quiz team. Allied up with some new caching friends and remet several other rarely seen friends from other areas of the country. A good weekend all around and even the weather played nicely with a sunny outlook each of the days, without it being too warm and uncomfortable. Plenty of events attended, pleasant walks experienced, a couple of bike rides along the Hutt River as well as a smattering of GROET caches for which we were GLAD.
Thanks to all of the cache owners for their hides and listings and looking forward to the next time I visit the area to continue the enjoyment.

Thought we'd pick up as many caches as we could between events and competing all the lab caches. Nice and easy here. Signed as Team DNF as part of our crazy tiki tour around the Hutt valleys and Wellington area on Day 1 of the WENZ MEGA 2018. Tftc
Found with StreetWalkerNZ and Apty on our quest to find 11 cache types in one day. Mission accomplished by 1pm .
We had a few hours to fill in before the drive by event in Harcourt Park, so time to find a few puzzles etc. This wasn't far from another cache, so we had to stop for it too. TFTC.

I got to swap a little owl for a little pig (or was it an elephant) that was inside this cache. That is the cool thing about some caches is that they have little tiny toys in them, and that makes me happy. I am only two.

We were here to get a nearby cache and decided to come across here and get this one too. It is nice along the river and probably we don't do it justice rushing about collecting caches, it must be nice for the locals who get to walk here regularly.

Great to be able to do this cache as part of the WENZ - Wellington Event New Zealand 2018 MEGA. As Gr33nslime, DangerSAM and I are all locals it was easy to plan this out being on our back door. Going to the first meet and greet I had no idea there would be so many cachers that I had bumped into before. Gr33nslime and I decided that this event was going to be our chance to try for eleven cache types in one day as we had not had the pleasure of doing so before. With young DangerSAM in tow we had to make sure that we planned it out very carefully as even getting time to do one lab cache was a bonus. In the end we managed to get through most of them in the morning and will no doubt have clean up the rest by this afternoon. Thanks for organising the event, it was great to catch up with everyone and very pleased it turned out to be well supported and a MEGA.
Quick park and grab this morning before the MEGA. Easy to find and out for coffee in a flash.

# 1121 Mega weekend has finally arrived - its my first mega and first chance to go for 11 cache types in 1 day. This was the second one of the day. ! had sussed out the location earlier in the month so i knew exactly where to come to, to save time on the day, as we were doing a quick drive round to knock out some of the cache types before the event started.
This particular cache was just down the river from a mystery I had solved so I was able to pull over and claim both in the same parking stop. DangerSAM did a swap of a tiny horse toy for an owl in the cache, so he was pretty chuffed.. Cache all nice and try inside. thanks for the cache GLAD-NZ. # 2 of my 11 cache types in one day

Team BOP have descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA. We have a lot of caches to get through so there isn’t a lot of down time but it's great to meet the locals, CO’s and fellow cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. Lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and to all the CO’s that made this a memorable trip
It's finally Mega weekend!

It was too nice a day to let lunch time go by without a walk. I didn't park as close to the cache as I could have but I'm happy about that. Finding the cache was straight forward and I soon continued with my walk.
Found on a ride up the River Trail on a fine and warm late winters day. The trail is a huge community asset and it was great to see the number of walkers and cyclist even on a work day. Well done WRC. And many thanks for the cache placers, a real bonus. to a few hours exercise. TFTC
Visiting Mum and Dad this weekend so grabbing a few caches on my walk. Easy find along the walk. Tftc
After strolling to find the other caches today, I drove and parked next to this one (after giving the group of walkers enough time to get past). The cache was quickly found as it was a little exposed. Signed log and replaced a bit further tucked away. TFTC
I had parked the car about half way between this and the first one in the series. After a DNF at the other one, I walked back to this one with some Trepidation. Fortunately, this was a really quick find, sign and replace, and I was able to return to my car happy at having a) my first find in a week, and b, 1.2km between caches added to my DGSC distance challenge total. TFTC!
Cache # 4,277 - a quick and easy find on a damp morning - ground damp but no rain anymore in the air. A semi-sad find, as this means the last of the this series for me until/unless CO puts out more. Thank you for the great series, and for helping my streak to continue! TNLNSL.

Mrs B and I continued our walk along the Hutt River Trail after finding Stroll n GLAD #3 and this was the next unfound cache in the direction we were heading and once again was found easily. Still no muggles about. Cache was nice and dry inside. Then it was on to find another. Thanks for the cache GLAD-NZ
Was in Upper Hutt for work and decided that as I was in the area I might as well pick up a cache for the day, I saw this series of caches when they were published but as I needed to save a few easy ones for the rainy days I decided that I would leave this cache for that.
As time today was a bit limited I needed to get a cache that wasnt going to take too long, knowing that with the long weekend coming up I decided that it was a good idea to try and get as much done as early as possible so that when the roads got a bit busier I would be stuck in the traffic.
As I have passed this area numerous times I knew where this cache was situated and decided that I would try and drive and park near GZ. As I was lucky the traffic was still quite light when I went to attempt this cache and was able to pull off the road without any issues, then it was a quick and easy drive to GZ.
Managed to find a parking spot not too far from GZ, actually it was with 10 metres, and from there it was a very easy walk to the cache, managed to spot the hiding spot without any issue and soon had the cache in hand, signed and then replaced it back as found. Thanks GLAD-NZ for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this nice walkway / cycleway and sometimes a shortcut road. TFTC TNLNSL (13213). Now it is time to get back to work.

It looked like a perfect day for a bike ride, so we fastened the bikes onto the car, left Kapiti and took off to check out the Stroll n GLAD series along the Hutt River. It was pretty windy along the river, but with frequent stops to seek out the caches we had plenty of time to get our breath back. We started at No.17 and worked our way up river to No.1 We'll have to return another day to do No.13 as it was in another area. We enjoyed the bike ride and the caches very much, there was quite a variety. Thank you GLAD-NZ for taking the time to place them all.
A slighty odd thing happened here and I accidentally bypassed this cache on the way up the river. I had arrived with 12m to go then I must have accidentally pressed something which caused the GPS to find the next closest cache. I thought it had thrown a wobbly with the accuracy and assumed it was now telling the truth for this cache and I was in the wrong place. So I left it and carried on. On the way back the GPS led me to the same place and I successfully found the cache without getting thrown off the scent. TFTC.

After the recent bout of wet weather there was a need to get out of the house. Also I need to get my 50 caches a month and this one helped me get over the line.
