Cannot get up there for a while, a shame no-one ever seems able to take a spare log on a walk to help out cache owners - time to go.

Another find on a sunny Saturday. Originally had trouble getting a fix on this one but from the height of the wrong direction was able to spot where I should have been. Log paper is getting a bit fragile but still able to sign. TFTC

I'm continuing along on a streak trying to pick up a daily cache, so while it was tempting to try and find all of the caches on this walk, I just found one today. I've only been on this walk once before, on the opening day back in 2015, so it was about time to walk it again. I did remember that it was steep at the start going up the hill, but I was quite surprised to see the seat at the top of the hill will a built-in water bowl, and four cows that seemed quite curious. Also spotted a pukeko, a magpie, a hare and some quails. Great view down over Paraparaumu today, could see Kapiti Island and part of the South Island very clearly. No problems locating the cache. TFTC

Spotted this one from a distance for a quick find. Still only a view of mist and rain.

Find #3080. A new track to me so a good excuse for a walk on a wet southerly day in Wellington - go north to finer climes! Though still a few showers and a cold wind!
Parked at the southern end and walked the return route, caching along the way.
The quickest find on this route, and quickly signed as a southerly squall set in. Not a skerrick of shelter around. SL TFTC

We have been waiting for an excuse to do these caches on Bright's track and with the team China doll here from the UK this was the perfect excuse to do so. Little blue hen was keen to up her stepcount and by leaving a vehicle at each end of the track we completed the mission from North to South with ease.
Accurate coordinates and logically selected locations for the caches made for a very pleasant afternoon stroll. Tftcsl

The first day of our holiday in New Zealand and after lunch decided to do this lovely walk suggested by our caching friends Bkj97 and little Blue Hen. Having positioned the cars at either end we set off. The men folk went to retrieve this while we directed operations from above. The cache was found and the log signed and returned and we continued our walk. TFTC

The GPS went a little haywire under the pylons and we made the wrong assumption as to where the cache would be and headed in the wrong direction. After a look around, the likely place was spotted and once heading in that direction, the GPS fell back into line and we were soon at GZ.
We left a pet rock - a grey seal.
Thanks tmann421

Last of five caches located on a walk along this track with the geohound this afternoon, although the ‘track’ wasn’t all that obvious in parts. However it was a pleasant jaunt, steep in parts, with good views. Found this one on the way back. Once I’d figured out which way the coords were taking me (there was an initial hiccup in that regard), it was a straightforward find. #1961. TFTC.

TFTC! Never knew this track was up here. Good thing i wore my boots as they got caked in mud from the first part of the track. All relatively easy caches in good condition along the way

I was out and about in Paraparaumu, making the most of a sunny day, and decided to walk along the Brights Farm track to try for all the caches along the way.

I hadn't been into the Nikau Valley for almost 20 years, and had not walked this track before, but all the caches along it were found with relative ease, and replaced exactly as found after being signed. The walk itself was certainly challenging at times, especially after some of the wild weather we've had over the last week, but I enjoyed the exercise and the views, so thanks for giving me the reason to discover it.

The Cell tower looks oddly out of place but I guess from the top of the tower there is a good urban view (and hence reception) over the adjacent ridge.

No issues finding this one, TFTC

Decided to go up to Kapiti for a short walk as I didnt want to go too far from home today, I knew that there was still a few caches in the area that I could go out and chose from.

The weather was not too bad today and as I neared the start of the walkway .The walk along the path was quite pleasant as I made my way along this lovely walkway, really enjoying the views.

Finally arriving at GZ, it only took a few seconds to track down the hiding spot of the cache as the hint was very specific, managed to retrieve the cache without any issues, signed log and then replaced the cache back as found. Thanks tmann421 for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13507). Now to get back top the car and heading home to get some other jobs taken care off.

I had some moogle spectators here so the pressure was on to make a quick find so as not to make a fool of myself. Luckily, my good form continued and I instantly located what I was after.

Cache # 4,232 - Having been up this way from the south last week, decided to try from the north this afternoon prior to my successive evening meetings. A much easier go of it from the north. Made this one my destination as it was the furthest away up to the one I already found. Nice quick walk, going by a camera-filming operation (looks like advertising material). Cache was an almost instant find at GZ, and views were great (it hadn't started raining yet - did that just after I returned to the car). TNLNSL. All good with the cache. Thank you for the whole series!

It's a beatiful day for a walk along the ridge... cool breeze, a few drops of rain, and now some sunshine as I sit on a rock and sign the nice dry logsheet.

Enjoying the views despite the hissing pylons above

Sounds like the name of a song. A high energy one. Big Grin The GPS led me to an obvious hiding place and the cache was a quick find there. It wasn't quite hidden in its hidey hole problem but now it is. TFTC.

Easter Sunday, a gloriously fine, sunny and still day on the coast. We took the opportunity to visit this walk, hitherto unknown to us, and tackle the geocaches laid here.
We headed in from the Valley Road end, walking to Nikau Valley Rd and back.
This was our fifth find. Now we were enjoying the relative ease of the ridgeline walking and rewarded by further good views.
Straightforward find on this one.
Cache in order; log signed, then all safely re-hidden, just as found.
I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.

A very quick find while out on the track today. Thanks!

Showers seem to have disappeared and the weather is perfect for this walk. Spotted a likely looking rock as per the cache title and descended the slope to investigate. I had a bit of trouble here and there, avoiding cowpats, holes (made by the cattle) and thistles, but it wasn't too bad. Cache quickly found by Huhugrub, log signed, and on with the walk. Tftc, great walk.

#9968. We teamed up with Flowerydaze to go on an enjoyable joint exploration of the Bright Ridge Skyline Track on the Kāpiti Coast this Saturday. The weather forecast was for scattered rain to develop from around midday. So we made an early start this morning hoping to enjoy some cloudy but drier weather before the expected rain arrived. We left one car at the Valley Road trailhead, and drove to Nikau Valley to make a start from there to head back to Paraparaumu at the other end. As it turned out, the scattered showers had arrived once we got out of the car at Nikau Valley. So we donned on our wet weather gear and Team Geocacher Mr T remarked that if we did that, the rain would surely stop. And so it turned out to be the case. After a short while, the showers had moved off and it was relatively dry for the rest of the walk.

The track and GZ were all quiet when we visited. Good view of the pylons and the Kāpiti Coast. Quick find here. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Favorite point added for the series.

Thanks for the placement and for bringing us to the site, and …

I came up the coast to clear this recently published series. A nice day for a walk and not being too hot this morning. Around the top of the hill was a herd of cattle who just looked at me with fascination no doubt wondering why I went a little off track. A quick find and everything was in order. TFTC [Find # 4153]

I had a bunch of new and unfound caches on the Kapiti Coast so decided that as the weather was good I would spend some time today and knock off as many as I could. Parked the car in Valley Road and walked to the end of the track collecting caches along the way and then returned the way I had come. Another very fast find, there was only one place the cache was likely to be. Signed log, TFTC

I got up to the top to find the area was crawling with white Transpower utes and guys in hi-vis vests. I asked if it was ok to go on and got the classic "Yeah no worries mate" reply. When I got to within about 20 metres of GZ I thought to much activity here I'm going to have to give this one a miss, but then one young guy must have noticed the GPS in my hand and said "are ya caching mate". I said yeah I just need to nip down there. No problems and a quick find. What a really nice bunch of understanding guys. It was a pleasure to stop and have a chat about what they were doing for a few minutes before carrying on. Cheers and TFTC
