Easy find

03-Aug-22
Alyce and I have hatched a plan to convert the caches in our area and slowly make our way north, so after dropping the kiddies at school we decided to stay in the area to knock out a few.

We spotted this one fairly quickly, but before arriving at GZ I thought it may have been hidden differently. Container is missing its lid, but all is good.

Thanks for bringing us here.

28-Jul-22
All intact but the container needs a bit of detention - or is that attention? The lid is missing or is that a mis-direction? Smile. TFTC.

Could not find but will look again in daylight

09-Mar-21
I just can’t compete with a woodyrothwell log... walking to GZ I had preconceived idea of what type of hide this would be... I even tested the theory once or twice... then I spotted the cache... added my name to one of the many pieces of log, replaced the snap lock bag and returned as found... tftc... I’m still looking for the “lakes” that the estate is named for....

20-Feb-21
When I saw the cache title I knew my wife would be interested. She is a teacher and I thought she must love ruining the minds of young children by giving them detention. She is a prep teacher so detentions don’t come up that often although some of the language that preschoolers use these days would have landed you there when I went to school.

I remember my first time in detention back at school. I had just slicked back my hair like Judd Nelson and hoped to rock in and talk to Molly Ringwald while Simple Minds were belting out a song on my ghetto blaster. Detention meant writing out some lame apology 20 times unlike the cool one in the Breakfast Club.

When we saw the area, all thoughts of being stuck in school vanished when we learnt that detention has a second meaning. Being smooth as a baby’s bottom also has a second meaning and I have wasted thousands of dollars on hot wax to find out the hard way. tftc

After the New Year Events in Kilkivan, today's caching area includes the Harry Potter and Agatha Christie Series, with hatzofff and Snickersallan in the geovehicle.

One word from High School!

Log signed and cache replaced as found on January 3, 2021. TFTC, Miss_Direction.

03-Jan-21
Making my way back down the coast with hatzofff and RoddyC & spending a few days in the local area to do some geoart puzzles and others in between.
All hides were found relatively easy and apart from a few wet logbooks that we changed where we could, caches were in good condition.
Apologies for the generic logs CO's, thanks for placing for everyones enjoyment.

I've taken the week off as the the geomonsters are on school holidays. Fortunately Sandra had booked them into vacation care for the day, so it was either do some work in the peace and quiet or go out caching.

A slight detour from doing the Agatha Christie series. This was a nice quick find, although I walked straight past it at first.

Thanks!!

Thursday. Diverting from the A&C series, we collected this cache. Mr SPs caching mojo was on fire with this one and made short work of locating this cache. Bit of trouble getting the log out its container and almost wished I’d brought an extraction tool.

This was the 3rd of 10 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Miss_Direction***, for showing us this place. Smile

I have never been down this part of town before even though I live not far away. I didn't even know this estate existed! How lovely is it being tucked away.
Anyhow, I parked Gerty and wandered down a freshly mown area to discover water depth guages in a lovely little area of parkland.
The cache was quickly found in the open and a quick message sent to the CO.
Log was signed and the mower men returned as I left.

Wanting at least one more cache for the afternoon to make it an "even" five and this was the closest before we needed to head home.
Thought by the cache name that it was going to be something to do with a school, but it was a basin... shouldn't it be a retention basin...??Red Face
Just had some cake at Wamuran for afternoon tea, so a little leg stretch was in order. We didn't need to wander too far though. Found the cache just leaning around. Quick sign and replaced as found.

I've always wanted to visit this area more, and as 1Minniemoo had a day off work and I wasn't doing anything and we had no GC map to show us any other options we headed up here as I had the list of old caches saved offline.

This cache wasn't where we were expecting it to be. I bet it does flood down here!
This was my last cache for the day, time to head back to school, with one more stop for MM.

12/9/18 1:39 pm Find #2109
Having been out for adventure today with Wombles&Co, we were on the return journey when we decided to make a small detour past here.
Pulling up we wandered down to the fence line and expected the hide in a particular place. However we were surprised at where this one was found - it wasn't a likely place considering the possibility of flooding or being moved by grounds maintenance.
An interesting new estate here tho, lovely houses. The lady over the road was polishing all her railings as we left.
Thanks for the cache Miss_Direction.

Out caching with Di Morgan on this beautiful sunny afternoon. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Nice location. Thanks Miss_Direction.

18-Jul-18
Today I headed out to see if I could finish off the current souvenir hunt. After that was sorted, well, I couldn't just leave the last 3 caches here without a smiley...

I was wondering what I would find down here to cause the title, and yep, of course. I wonder if it'll flood??? I wandered around for quite a while before I stumbled on the hide. Somehow I was not quite expecting it to be there. TFTC, Miss_Direction.

It was decided reasonably early today that we would drag our weary tortured bodies out into the sunshine & fresh air to ease the frustration the VCs were experiencing from being virtually under home detention for the past 7 weeks (with considerably more to follow) as a result of injuries & ailments recently received/diagnosed! LOL ...

Having met Miss_Direction not too long ago & realising there were now quite a few new caches on offer we decided to 'test the waters' around Wamuran/Caboolture today. Smile

Good coordinates & this was a quick find as the cache was sitting on the slightly 'sloshy' ground, IPS?
Doesn't seem to have any means of attaching to anything?
Made our mark & replaced exactly as found.
May need a CO check to make sure it is where intended. Smile

Took a moment to enjoy the whipbirds calling nearby & the pretty blue Superb fairy-wrens flitting about with not a care in the world. Smile

TFTC Smile

This Day in Music
1968, George Harrison and Ringo Starr attended the premiere of 'Wonderwall' at the Cannes Film Festival. The 1968 film by first-time director Joe Massot starred Jack MacGowran and Jane Birkin, and featured cameos by Anita Pallenberg. The soundtrack was composed by then-Beatle George Harrison. The film provides the name for the Oasis track 'Wonderwall', which was inspired by George Harrison's score.

Out on an after work and after dark caching run with Selva Girls this afternoon, we headed out to Wamuran to collect some smilies. We approached gz in the dark, trying not to step on any of the army of toads guarding the place. The reason for the name of the cache became obvious as we approached. The container was found quickly and names were added before tip toeing back to the car. Tftc Miss_Direction Big Grin
