Got to meet a few more geocachers while cooling off in the club. Thanks to the organisers.
Thank you all for attending this welcome event - with over 270 logs, it was well on its way to being its own mega event!

Decided to op up for a night in the swag. Watched the talent show, so funny!!!! Great to see everyone.
Great evening out,was really nice to catch up with so many other cachers,Thanks for organizing this event
Leaving Sydney very early Friday and arrived in Morisset at 8am to join the caching group (5/P) meaning five puzzle solvers and we signed all logs with this simple sign in to save space in the many logs that we found over the W/E.
First on our list were the LMHS series followed by a few local caches and then we tackled the OZGeomuster and some more caches in the area over the next three days.
I would like to thank all the folk responsible for placing all the caches that we found because this will have to be a cut and paste operation owing to the number of finds.
With more good luck than anything else we only had one DNF for the W/e but we could see the red bison but it was beyond our capabilities to gain access to the log.
I have say a huge thanks to the committee for the smooth running of the weekend.
We encountered some of the local wild life a huge black snake about seven foot long and a smaller brown. They are out there so be careful.
I also helped to keep the local Leech population to survive with a donation of my blood. Did not feel a thing and this is not the first time I have helped them out but that was in another state. Gosh they make a mess of your clothes before the blood stops dribbling out.
Really needed a couple of cold beers after a long days caching.
This was my fifth Mega and looking forward to the next one later this year in Victoria.

Wow what an attendance - very popular indeed. I thought to myself, "this might go mega '
Great meal, and considering how busy the MEGA made this event, the club did pretty well indeed !

Thanks for the talk, there was some really useful information in the talk that was given. With out the talk I would not know the useful stuff that had existed!
It was lovely catching up for a drink with some old friends and met some new friends.
Heading to OzGeoMuster Mega, with Fangsoki and Crew153 in the mighty Suzee. Day two, and we've made it. With about 5 minutes left on the clock we stopped here before heading into the showgrounds, tracked down the logbook to sign, and said G'day to a few of the cacher's we know from QLD. A good turnout. Sadly we never got back to here for a meal, and we missed the info on Queanbeyan 2019 .... but it was good to arrive after two days on the road, and good to say hello to a few faces.
Thanks for holding this event, AngelG27 and Kittykatch, my 82nd ever event.

We had been on the road since 7am when we left Taree and picked up caches along the way and planned to arrive in time for the event. As it turned out we arrived at 5:15 and just had time to sign the log and chat to a few friends before we had to leave to check in at the Showgrounds for our campsite allocation.
It was a pity that we couldn't stay and chat to others.
Thanks for putting on this event AngelG27

What a handy location for this event. We did drive up from the showground but it would have been plenty easy to walk. We managed to find the end of a table and a couple of chairs with some friends and enjoyed the great tempura battered fish that we'd ordered. Yum! A great job was done by the cooks and we certainly did feel welcomed. Thanks to AngelG27 and Kittykatch for organizing this event to give us all an opportunity to begin our gathering together and meeting and greeting. Cheers!
Well the tempura barramundi was great! Nice spot, and most importantly the beer was cold after a warm day caching!
Thanks AngelG27 for organising the event it was greatly appreciated!

Ended up grabbing dinner here before attending the Opening ceremony at GZ..TFTE
Thanks to the Cub for stepping up for the many extras tonight!! You did a great job, and the meal was good too!
A great way to start off the event and for everyone to get together. I think the club was a bit over-whelmed!!
Looking forward to your event in Canberra next Easter.

What a fantastic turn out and it was great to see so many cachers having a good time. The Club staff provided great service with many happy campers. Thanks Annie
Was a quick visit to the event as I needed to head home due to moving the next day and have packing needed to be done. Wish I could stay but it look like a great turn out.

After registering at the Geomuster I had two days of caching. Too many to comment on individually - if I'm to retain my sanity. So here is the cut and paste version!
So many there were times we just assigned one person to do logging duties - those saved seconds really add up compared to passing the log around!
Day 1 was Puzzle Day. A few sets were nabbed and it's really useful to have a squad watching your back. The finds just fly by. Mind you, the facts a number of them were park and grabs helped up the numbers.
The first day also included an event near the Geomuster site - I suspect the Club didn't know what hit them once we arrived in great numbers. What any club members normally there thought...
Day 2 was Lab Cache / Traditional Day. Of course other cache types were in the mix including a Virtual. A lot of driving around getting the Lab Caches (can I say the chips in the establishment near the Flash Mob were very generous in quantity and quite tasty as well).
After a series of traditionals in the bush at Mt Hutton it was time for me to head home.
Thanks to **TARDIS0061**, **EverestHigh**, **Brewmaker**, **The Bebes**, **stueygow**, **Team Merlin** and **phlhotos** for the finds this weekend.
Of course thanks also to the Geomuster Committee.
Top time had. I'll have to do this again some time.

After a day out caching with Brother Colin, Jess & Caro (minus Jess) and Aussieben, it was great to be able to wind down over a few drinks at this event. It sure was well attended! Thanks for hosting it.

Oz Geo Muster weekend Easter 2018. Day 1. Today I drove the road from Canberra to Morisset via the Pennant hills carpark and the F3 carpark. A lot slower than expected. After getting here it was already time to go to this event. So many people in the club, no way I was going to get a feed here, so I went over to the showground to check in and set up.
Thanks.

When we approached the club to let them know that there would be a few extra people around this evening, I'm not too sure how seriously they took it. The club was absolutely packed to the rafters, but surprisingly the meals didn't take too long to arrive. This was a great time to meet up with those geocachers who had already arrived, and gave some of the ozgeomuster committee a chance to relax for a few minutes and chat. A great event, and I'm looking forward to next year.

Miz Wacket and I got into Morriset with just enough time to drop by this event. I knew I probably couldn't stay because I had the Ridgeo-pup with me but it looked like a huge party. I clocked Kittykatch at the door but didn't see Angel. We hung around the front door and chatted with some cachers before heading to the showground to pitch the tent.
Thanks for the event AngelG27 and Kittykatch

Its GeoMuster time around the Lake Mac. Been planning to attend this one for a while and was happy to see it get Mega status. Very enjoyable weekend away with FurfacesLL #1 and catching up with so many different cachers.
We had spent quite some time up at the LMHS trail after our drive up from CBR. We were pretty worn out after the drive and running around up in the hills. We called into the event and the line was out the door down the steps. We eventually got inside, signed the log and lined up for dinner. However it was just a little too hot and crowded for us so we decided to head back outside.
Thanks for the event AngelG27 and Kittykatch its been a fab weekend!

Crew 153, Pprime (P`), and I rolled slowly into town - all very haggard-like after a hefty day of caching. Pprime suggest we make an appearance at this Event.
We got to catch up with a few friendly faces and did the duty of signing the log. I was quite impressed how geocachers seemed to be scattered over different wings of this particular establishment.
A great place for an Event. TFTE AngelG27 and Kittykatch

The atmosphere was charged with feelings of travel times, Sydney traffic, roadworks, Pennant Hills Road and of course "Great to see you here!"
We were made to feel very welcome, take in a preview of Canberra 2019 and of course watch the meal queue grow.
Our appreciation and thanks to AngelG27 for organising a great event.

Headed up to the OZGeomuster Mega from Goulburn. Arrived late Thursday and got an early start Friday morning.
After a busy day of caching we made our way to this event for the last 'find' for today. Surprised at the amount of people attending. I haven't been to a busier event that hasn't been a 'mega'. Signed log for myself, and the geokids (B0tmun, Lovetherabbitohs, DeathKiller & my_name_jeff_1)

Due to getting carried away with The Atom series we were cutting it fine and got here by the skin of our geocaching teeth. Managed to catch up with some attendees in the short time that was left. A massive turn out! Thanks for hosting our 49th event Angel G27.
We are now camped at Morisset for the Geo Muster at Easter with our interim caravan.
Today we teamed up with Pprass and NurseHaley to tackle some more adventurous caches and we were not sure we could get back in time for the event. Fortunately the traffic was kind and we were able to drop in for the last half an hour or so - slightly dirty, sweaty and very thirsty.
Thanks for the get together to get things started AngelG27

Attended during the OzGeoMuster2018 weekend with SnappyTomCats & Phoenix Flare from SA...
We had been out travelling the GeoTrek...we realised we should head back for this event & dinner...the GeTrek was going to have to wait a day...the trip back took a bit longer than anticipated...we arrived with about 4 minutes to spare but got our names in the logbook...we stayed on & chatted to old & new friends before grabbing some nice fish for dinner...

Rapidlywild suggested we head up to the Oz Muster event when it was first published, so between us and a few others we set out to solve the puzzles around the area, not that we got to all of the ones we solved, what a shame we will have to return one day to collect them when the mosquitos are not as active. We had a great time over the weekend, grabbed lots of caches and met some fellow cachers, Thanks Rapidlywild for another enjoyable geoadventure.
What a great way to start this fantastic event just a short walk from our camp site and we could donate a little more across the bar at the club. Being Good Friday and all of a sudden being inundated by so many people we were amazed at how quickly most of the meals were being able to be served and how friendly the staff remained even though being rushed at times.
The atmosphere of the whole place was alive with the sounds of caching stories and laughter.
It was great mingling among the tables and meeting up with quite a few new teams. After enjoying a great meal alive with chatter it was very quickly time to wander back and finish setting up for what turned out to be a fantastic weekend.
Thanks Angel27 and Kittykatch for organizing it.

Up from Canberra for the Mega! Teamed up with ZimbaW (+ Ridgeopup!) and Mizwacket where we cruised round in the Jeep to collect our target caches The whole weekend was a blast!
Swung by this event to kick off the Mega festivities after setting up camp at the showground. Met up with ZimbaW, Mizwacket and the Ridgeopup in the car park nearby. We couldn't stay long as we were unable to bring the Ridgeopup into the club, but it was good to meet up with the Canberra clan to say a quick hi!

We were up early and grouped with omegaman1971, Di Morgan, Bushfire and Snap Happy ready to go in anticipating a great day. It had taken so long to solve all these puzzles so it was going to be great to put a signature in the log to get the smiley. Taking our packed lunch, the plan was hatched to start from furtherest away and work towards Morrisett. Most of the finds were made quick enough once getting to GZ.
This was the last smiley for the day and a well earned cold refreshment was enjoyed by all while catching up in the air conditioning. The end to a fun day.
Thanks AngelG27 for putting on the event for us to attend.

Full day ticking off the OZGM trail and a few bonus hides with Bonfire7, it was time to relax, check in with friends also in town for the Mega, rehydrate and finally eat some food. So much excitement in the room building for the next few days. Bring it on!
Didn't log a will attend as wasn't sure when we were going to arrive in time. We were pleased to make it in time to attend. Caught up with some old friends and made some new.
Thanks for putting this on.

We arrived at Morisset last night after a big couple of days driving and caching from Western Victoria. So today, this was the only cache we did .
We thoroughly enjoyed our day chilling around camp, and then trundling up the road to the Country Club for this event. The food was lovely and it was nice to sit in the air conditioned function room and chat to friends new and old.
TFTC AngelG27 and Kittykatch. We appreciated the organisation that went into co-ordinating this one.

Came up for the Mega - so of course I was going to come to this event too ... wow - what a crowd - lol
Sat at a table to wait for, then eat, my dinner and the people who came and sat with me were probably the only dinner companions I would not annoy with my habit of talking a bit too much - a group of deaf Geocachers - lol
TFTE - Food was nice, caught up with a few people I knew, and met a few people I didn't know, while mingling in the crowd before/after my dinner, and had fun playing King Arthur with a sword ...

What a busy and happy event. Everyone was obviously excited to get together and lots of stories and a few drinks were shared in the hour that I was there. SSR and I hadn't preordered dinner so we vailed out and did a bit of caching on the to the fish and chip shop.

We ventured from Melbourne for the mage and this even was our first on the list. We joined in with the crowd but decided to head back to the van for dinner thus avoiding the crowd, however we did hear the meals on the night were great.
Our thanks to AngelG27 and Kittykatch for hosting the event.

We headed back to Morriset for this event and considering we were thinking we was going to be late we did well arriving right at the start and got in before the masses descended like hawks on a sick chuck.
With the original listing saying no food we had already planned on getting a feed somewhere else by the time the update came out so we didn't eat at the event.
We spent the time just chatting to fellow cachers and I got to meet (and log) Cybergran which was a great bit of fun, with the room full to the brim and as hot as Hades we bailed out and went to cool down outside.
Thanks for great event.

#7978 - 16:25; Day one of the 2018 Oz GeoMuster Mega mission with Sol de lune. Today was planned to be an easy day travelling to the Mega site in Morisset via the Sydney metropolitan region before getting amongst the Easter traffic heading north along the freeway. After our first stop in Balgowlah, the GPSr had us headed out along a different route than we had originally planned. Once we hit the old Pacific Highway in Pymble the traffic was pretty much stop start all the way through to Morisset. On arrival we headed to the Club for this event, where we caught up with some of the Canberra locals as well as local cachers from the Hunter and further afield. After a beer or two, it was off to set up camp and the official opening of the Mega. TFTE AngelG27 and Kittykatch
After heading up the highway with LuckyL10n we managed to arrive for the event just on 4.30pm. Caught up with a few people, had a couple of refreshing ales and then headed over to the Mega site to check.
Thanks Annie.....cool way to start my couple of days in the area.....

The twenty-third find of the day. Finally we had made it to Morisset! It took long enough, partly due to the traffic and partly due to our caching pursuits. We rocked up pretty much at the start time just before the big crowds started to roll in. With a few more caches on our 'to-do' list, we were only there for about 10 minutes before dashing off. Thanks for the event AngelG27 and Kittykatch!
Great event, great venue, cheap drinks and fantastic food.
Thanks for putting on such a great event
Cheers and Happy Hunting

This was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and new. We had all had a hard day caching and the event was a welcome respite.
Thanks to AngelG27 and Kittykatch.

Wow this place was HOT HOT HOT (literally!) It was great to chat with buddies and discuss plans for the weekend.
What a nice little get away.....I needed some R&R and so decided to head across the border from SA to Victoria and then NSW to attend the OzGeoMuster Mega with friends.
I mainly hung out with the lovely micaparamedic and the fabulous ChooknChunk and I also enjoyed many happy moments with others.
Some of the stand out moments included: camping in Belanglo State Forest and doing a night cache at 1am; 4wding and having water over the car bonnet; sitting around and chatting/chilling; sleeping loads; relaxing continuously and then watching some fab fireworks (thanks Team Crackers), and all in all a much needed break. Gary and I slowly made our way back to Bendigo before heading back to Adelaide.
Thanks so much for the cache AngelG27!

Day 6 of my Oz GeoMuster road trip and I was to hit the 4B Playground with Geoturtle37, Papi4506, beckNmonts, Casadella LouLou0212 & the clever one. We took a few very capable 4WD's, The GeoPap Monster, The Suzuki Jimny and a 79 Series Landcruiser, better known as "Skooby". The weather gods were once again smiling upon us and we had beautiful sunshine every day.
Back in town now, made a brief appearance at this event before heading around the corner for a well earned drink.
Many thanks to AngelG27 and Kittykatch for the event.
