The Big Potato and I headed to this letterbox from Pototo Central. Id already scoped it out on a previous visit but didnt think I should risk the wrath of my physiotherapist without a bit of help. No trouble with the cache and I was glad I didnt drop the log on the ground even though my spotter could have retrieved it. Thanks!

read a previous log that caching in Melbourne sucks - yes it does! However, there are MANY caches in Melbourne and very few where I am located so any and all a bonus for me. Travelling back from brief stint at crawl and meandering my way back through the city and randomly went to this one. Up in a flash with no one paying me mind. That's the beauty of city caches.not sure why there is no tree climbing attribute though - regardless of ability, still a tree climb or needing attribute.thanks for the cache GeocachingMelbourne

I found this cache on my Mega Walk #30 - a 30,000 step walk through Coburg, Broadmeadows and Brunswick. I walked over here from Jewell Station and up I went while I still could. Thanks from D B-A

Hmmm. That is either a T3 for the climb or you need another attribute for a special tool.Luckily I have one in the car, a perfect height. Plenty of muggles but carrying a ladder like you are meant to be there is like carrying a clipboard. No one even noticed I was there. In and out. SL at 16:10pm. TFTC.

Find #: 3,503Companions: NoneMuggles: A few passing byWeather: Cool autumn morningCache condition: GoodAfter running the nearby parkrun I headed over here. Hmmm, I think there is an attribute missing as I wasnt expecting that! I tried to get up manually at first, but couldnt get a good grip. There was a broken hire-bike on the nearby grass, so I dragged it over (with great protestation - beep beep beep), which allowed me to gain the required altitude - CIH! TNLNSL, thanks for a fun little experience

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. I had a look at this cache a few years ago, but there were a lot of people passing at the time, so I decided to postpone the retrieval. Then I completely forgot about it. I was in the area today and checked the app to see if there were any new caches close by, and saw that this one was still on my to do list. With the aid of a milk crate I made the ascent and signed the log. Nice to tick this one off after all this time.

Domani all'alba partiamo per l'Australia... We have got way behind in our logging and are trying to catch up and get our caching in order.Life has been pretty hectic this year, and a lot of it has gotten in the way of efficient logging of finds. We want to thank all the Cache owners for providing an array of caches for us around our countryside and in our cities. We apologise for the generic logs. We must do this to get through the backlog.Unless otherwise specified, all the caches we found were in good order.Thank you, GeocachingMelbourne, for this Letterbox cache.

My second find whilst my wife gets a birthday tattoo.Excellent coordinates had me right on target, love these containers, they go on forever! The only things missing was an inkpad (the butterfly stamp was long dry) and an arboreal attribute.Log was soon stamped and there was still time to introduce a delightful mother and son to the joys of geocaching. They thought I was servicing a camera Smile Lovely to meet you both and hopefully youll give geocaching a go too.TFTC-Voting is now open for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. I have been working on trying to qualify for the [WCW - 6 Types every day Challenge (GCA0HZQ)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA0HZQ_wcw-6-types-every-day-challenge) ever since it got published back in October 2022.

Well I found myself needing to find a Letterbox on the 19th and with the Snugglemuggle and myself nearby, it was only a short drive over to get to GZ.

The park was fairly busy with muggles today, but luckily we were able to spot the cache immediately. Unluckly, with a T2.0 rating and no "Tree Climb" attribute, I wasn't expected to have to climb a tree.

We sat down on the nearby bench and waited...and waited...and waited... until finally the area was muggle free and I could make the scramble up.

Unfortunately, I didn't bring my stamp or stamp book, so was only able to sign the logbook before I made the quick climb back down to the ground.

A fun little tree climb cache, thanks for all the fun today and TFTC.

**Cache Maintenance Status**

The cache container was in good shape, the attachment mechanism still seemed strong and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

One with a goal of being dropped off in Beaconsfield Tasmania and one needing to go to Melbourne . Do you know how difficult it is to find a cache in the city precinct big enough to take aTravelBug?
So here we are at this letter box cache - a walk, tram, walk, climb journey. I had to send clanbeckett up the tree as my knees are not up to this anymore (good thing I brought him along - he is also paying for the trip ). Mission accomplished. TB dropped . And a favourite point for placing a cache that will take a TB

An early start today.TFTC.

It was pretty fun climbing up and jumping down. I’m glad none of the items contained within the cache were dropping down, so I didn’t have to climb again.

Love the effort in this! Unfortunately the stamp has dried out a fair bit. Climbing up wasn’t too hard. This is our first letterbox cache and if they’re all like this we’ll seek them out! TFTC

I remember now why I don't cache in inner city that much.

Takes 20 minutes to get from A to B, 3km away.

Parking sucks.

Mirco's.

Often missing.

Often a pointless spot.

So given that, I decided to beeline for something that I knew would most likely be there, and be a decent container before heading out more into the urban sprawl. Aysen wanted to climb this, however his legs just a bit to little to do so. Enjoyed the cache and the climb, thanks for putting this out.

TFTC! A quick and easy find. Unfortunately it was open when we arrived, but despite the weather the log was dry and well. Signed and closed again Smile

First geocache! What an adventure Very Happy

Very difficult on a rainy day, not to mention the open space welcomes muggles. Got the bf to grab it. Too dangerous for my short legs. TFTC

I’ve been trying to improve my mixture of caches as well as meet some challenge goals, so a few letterbox caches have been on my list this week. I noticed this one was a climb not to far from my home so went for a drive just before sunset when it would hopefully be quiet at GZ. Managed to make quick work of it and slowly 1 by 1 my letterbox tally is growing.

Thanks GeocachingMelbourne for the cache.

Found it! But didn’t climb up to get it.

Well that was a bit tricky on a cool day wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt.
Less flexible in that attire.
The cache is in excellent condition.
I visited 4 TB.

what is the most watched geocache?

i haven't been able to find any great answer to this
in victoria, i suspect it is eagle rock which has just clicked over to two hundred patient watchers
in the world though, who knows

out of this world though the answer seems clear
gc1be91
a measly four thousand, five hundred and ninety three on the watchlist
avidly waiting for a space endeavour that will never arrive
three two one...

that cache is perhaps the most deserving d5/t5 in the history of this sport
study astrophysics
go through pilot school
learn russian
blast off
all to find a lousy piece of space junk

After the event in Parkville we came here to find this cache. That is because we are trying to find nine different cache types today. This was a really fun one. My two daughters had to go first but then it was dad who went up and sign the logbook and got the stamp. Thanks for the fun and thanks for the cache.

I'd been here about this time last year. I found the cache from the ground, but not a way up to it. Today I brought a TOTT to get me up the first bit, and monkey climbed from there. Probably needs to be a bit higher in Terrain rating, but I knew what I was in for. A fun cache to collect, and filled in an unfound day for me. It was a bit miserable in terms of weather, so I didn't have an audience. The cache was very well constructed and fixed in, and all in good working order. Thanks Geocaching Melbourne!

While attempting the Capital City Trail, we came across this cache and felt it would be a good place to stop and rest. At the same time, MrHyde Jnr went up to get the cache. This one is an easy one as it is easy enough to spot from ground level - just need someone not afraid of a bit of vertical travelling.

Haha that was fun

Well there isn't much left in my 5km bubble but this one is just inside. Pretty easy to spot and a beginner climb. Lovely ride up this way on a super warm day. Precautions taken. Tftc

Definitely a bit higher difficulty than one but really fun. First postbox. Thanks.

My first letterbox! Elorangutan did a nice job of putting my stamp and signing our names. TFTC

Day 4 and the final one of a dedicated geo-weekend away with Kestal and Scratches...after dropping off Scratches to a friend, Kestal and I decided to grab a few last caches before heading to the airport. Snagged a great park...something we had been doing all morning...I have to say I haven't seen centre parking like that in Qld. I have long legs but not that long so required a knee from my caching buddy. TFTC Geocaching Melbourne.

Our last cache for this trip saw Eskies5 up a tree to retrieve this one. The hide was spotted easily from the ground and it didn’t take her long to monkey up to this one. Great hide and TFTC Geocaching Melbourne

The cache is in a tree.

I made attempts to get up there but couldn’t. The person who placed it is either part monkey or is a ladder owner.

Our first cache in Melbourne! On our way from Port Macquarie NSW to Tasmania for a holiday. Didn’t read previous logs before we went and was a bit surprised this was a terrain 2!! Thankful for the climbing skills of geokids. TFTC

21-Dec-19
When we got to this cache, we encountered an unexpected (easy) obstacle. Thanks to a boost up I was able to sign the logbook while no one was around. Favourite from me, its cool coming across easy tree climbs in the middle of suburbia.

21-Dec-19
Found this cache as part of Ilukaperi and my's quest to find as many "other" type caches as possible for 2019

Iluka made the climb to sign the log. I may or may not have done so too, but if I didn't it more than makes up for the ridiculous climb I perhaps made on both of our behalves a few days prior, because she was too scared.

TFTC.
