I managed to make this a much quicker find than planned by fluking the first spot I looked and from the right angle. I was rather thankful for it, because although I was standing under blue sky and sunshine, just to my left was black clouds and storms, coming this way!Made it back to the car just in time!A big thanks goes to GeoClasher5 for taking the time to add Moonee Ponds Creek Trail - #11 to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Doing a bike ride along the Moonee ponds creek on this sunny Saturday morning and stopped by to find this cache. TFTC
*Valentine's Bike Adventure #12*Find #8.Well worth the difficulty rating. Thanks heaps for the cache!
I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #11 - a 23,500 step walk from Coolaroo to Glenroy via the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail whilst also celebrating our 20th Geocaching Anniversary. I had made the M80, which was my next point of decision as the storm was still approaching. Do I head to Jacana or push on. I still had a bit of time I reckoned to get a few more, plus I had just watched a video the other day naming Jacana the worst railway station in Melbourne and one of the reasons for this was a lack of any shelter so it would not assist me in a storm anyway. Thanks from D B-A
The log paper was mush and not able to be written on. I replaced it with some write in the rain paper. Same deal as a previous case. Thank you GeoClasher5 for maintaining Moonee Ponds Creek Trail - #11 for us to find today.
Wow took us a while to find, paper inside is a little destroyed. I see why it is a difficulty 3
Enable while going on a walk I figured out that I was gonna maintenance this one still there ready to be found

Hi there Team_Justice,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident.
The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.
#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.
- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored.
- **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.
Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned.
It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Undeterred by the cloudy weather we headed out for a late afternoon bike ride of about 12km along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail.
Heading back to the cars we stopped at this #11. At GZ it looked like we'd have to find a needle in a haystack. Had to admit defeat here after 15 minutes. Third DNF for the afternoon.

There’s a hundred spots it could be here. Especially when the gps isn’t sitting still. Running out of daylight
First time out in a while and this was a nice challenge although I knew what kind of cache to look for. The GPS wasn't playing ball and had to think creatively but got it in the end.
Log is wet.

Log was torn and wet. Last signed was 2021? Also if you have a dog, leave it far away as the ground cover here is poisonous and causes rashes. As I know from Monday's vet bill of $245 from a find a couple of weeks ago that the dog is still suffering from.
Took us a while to find.
When filling in the log, a bunch of muggles was passing by so I walked away with the bottom part and log.
Took me another while to find it again to put back

Out for a ride along the Moonee Ponds Creek trail today to look for some of the caches placed along it. I've done a few in dribs and drabs but had never just gone out for a caching ride so had quite a few gaps along the trail. Quite a busy day out on the trail because of the nice weather but there were enough gaps in the traffic for me to duck in and out of each stop. Quite a bit of crawling around in the trees but once I got the idea of what I was looking for I was able to find most of the caches I stopped at. Thanks for the cache Team Justice.
Dropped off the Geowagon at Essendon Fields Autocentro for a service and i put the bike in the back so i can spend some time going for a ride
It has been quiet awhile since i have been on this bike path since i grew up not far from it.
They have done alot of work and it is great to see so many people out enjoying the sun after lockdown.
Round and round in circles I go as the GPS was bouncing all over the place so I just kept checking everywhere which I probably did on quiet a few occasions.
I eventually spotted something shiny and I was able to add my mark so now on to the next one.
Thanks Team Justice TFTC

Escaping the Melbourne lockdown ... geocaching within our 25km! Stay safe everyone. TFTC
Took me quite awhile because I wasn’t looking close enough at the dark corners of the trees
This kind of hide is what I'm generally terrible at, they take me way longer than any other type! I'd been going quite well them today, so when I came up on this one and saw it's difficulty rating was higher, I was worried my streak of luck was up. However, I got it really quickly to my astonishment! All the earlier ones in this series must have been good training! The GeoMutt was getting a bit sick of geocaching and was wanting more ball time, so again he pulled his cute act and came in for a hug while I retrieved, signed, and replaced. Soon puppy! Thanks Team Justice!
Out and about with echidna44 ticking some more off to the North. Not being cyclists it was shanks pony for us. Lovely sunny day with lots of humidity. This is the way we like to cache as we can get lots of chatting done to. Amazing views along the way and to see the houses multiplying !!!. Needed a little bit of a search here as one goes left and the right. This was a challenge but finally. Thanks for the cache Team_justice.
Out with xambo4u, we were doing a few caches in the Coburg to Jacana area. It was a beautiful day for a walk.
This took us round in circles, but we got there in the end. Well placed. Thanks Team Justice

AngéliqueAnja has broken away from Team ZACAATT for a day to take the bike out and grab some caches on Tally Tiger's goal to make 1,000 caches in 1 year.

Have flown down to Melbourne from Sydney for a 2 week training course at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Air Traffic Control Centre, but my main interest will be in collecting as many Victorian (VK3 in HAM radio terms) caches as possible during my free time away from the workplace. My primary caching target areas will be the Woodlands Historic Park (with it’s 100 plus caches), the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, the Outer Circle Railway Trail, the Donaldson’s Creek Trail, the Ruffey Creek Trail, Eltham (Diamond Valley Railway), and the suburbs surrounding my Essendon apartment. This was the 10th of 14 finds for the day, and the 66th of 242 finds for the trip.
Today's post work caching mission saw a return to the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail. Parked the car at the Boeing Reserve parking area and then headed northward up the creek from where I had reached on Tuesday (15th) just south of the Albion Viaduct (railway bridge), with the desire to log as many caches as possible up to and slightly beyond the M80 Freeway (Western Ring Road) underpass.
This was the next cache along the trail that I came to, and was a nice quick find after diving off the concrete pathway and heading up into the scrub. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Team Justice.

Visiting a sick friend gave me a good reason to get out of the house, and the opportunity to park nearby for a cache hunt.
The batteries in the GPSr had enough juice to lead me within range, and the spares in my pocket... well, it so happened that they barely had a charge in them. It was, however, enough to get me to GZ, where a systematic search got the smiley I hoped for. All in good nick, but a few metres further afield than a few cachers might have searched, I guess.
Team Justice, thanks for tonight's hint and exercise, which involved a stroll the long way back to the car. Because I could.

TFTC Team Justice. Nice hide and find on a fine caching day. Log in good condition. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
An early morning trip over here to collect this series of caches. This time I used my old hybrid bike. Took the front wheel off and it fitted into the car with a bit of a squeeze. Much heavier than my origami bike which is comfortable but a lot of hard work because of the smaller wheels.
Took a search here before the cache revealed itself again but I finally succeeded. Clue was good - thanks.

Easy find on a walk along this lovely bike trail on a crisp morning. Great scenery, a bit of wildlife and caches as a bonus.
In town for the MEGA and thought we would spend the day collecting caches along this trail, headed out on the train with our bikes 20kms ahead and many hides along the way. Two flat tyres and a couple of DNF's many, many muggles that snuck up very quickly. 2nd find for the day quick and easy.

Moonee Ponds Creek has undergone a total transformation over the years! Today as we pedaled around 18 kms along the trails collecting smiley tokens, P-P relived his childhood adventures among the tall gum trees, rocks, ferocious thistles and scented aniseed. as he grew up in Strathmore.
Interesting to see the debris relocated by fastmoving water recently.
Thanks to 'Team_Justice' for placing this well planned, enjoyable series on the geo-gameboard.

Spent the day doing the trail today with Melbmatt50 and my sons cachemstr and craycraymstr.
Out and about with Trailstevo, back on a trail we thought we had completed last year but a whole heap of new cache which is great. Lucky the rain held off and we covered about 12km in total and double figures of hide. Was a perfect work out. TFTC
With Gunks having plans for Sunday, our usual caching night was moved to Saturday. Gunks selected Moonee Ponds Creek area and what a good choice managing to avoid the night's rain. A decent 12km walk allowed us to get into double figures, covering both sides of the creek and after most caches we were 'hanging' to find the next one. TFTC
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

I DNF'd this one twice today. Once on the away up and once on the way back. The only thing I can think of is that like another cache, low does not mean low. Whatever, I could not find it.
Had to grab a cache or two, today before heading off up to Sawn Hill, to attend a funeral, this was one of a series that I am finding in dribs and drabs, being the closeset to home without smiles, Thanks Team Justice, nearly completed the set

A good day for caching. A bit windy but cool and not too bright. It was great to meet Robmac and Betty Boo on the trail and do some of the caches together.
Thanks for the series Team justice.
Thanks for the series Team justice.
With a forecast of a sunny day, BettyBoo3747 and I decided to get out the deadly treadlies and head off for the further reaches of the Moonee Ponds Creek. Turned out to be a very windy day, particularly in some spots on this trail. Some very flash new bits to this trail since I have been here. (and a awful lot more houses!)
We came flying around the corner to find a bike lying on the side of the path at GZ - very suspicious!
Then a guy with a GPSr came out of the bushes looking very sheepish.
"Just missed signing the cache, I have put it back!" said franklj.
We just followed his sheep track and cache was in hand in no time.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14512. After deciding not to ride the Trail on a weekend because I thought it would be too busy with muggles, kids, and doggie walkers we decided to attack it today. Pity the weather wasn't as kind to us today - wild and windy and I almost was blown off the bike a few times. A very pleasant ride along the concrete paths but it would be nice if there were more trees and shrubs planted to break up the barreness of some areas.
On approach I spied a head with cycling helmet amongst the bushes - oh oh cacher alert. We rounded the bend and there emerged a figure - franklj. He left us to it and fortunately it was a nice quick find here and we caught up with him at the next one and cached together until #17 before parting ways.
Thanks Team_Justice
