What an afternoon out in the stunning Plenty Gorge after the rain eased today. The views, mix of bushland and wildlife made for a memorable caching experience.A massive thank you to Ron.haha for placing these caches. Your efforts bring a lot of joy to the geocaching community, and Plenty Gorge wouldnt be the same without your gems. I'll be back to get the rest. P.S. I replaced the disintegrated log sheet and zip lock.
TFTC. Found whilst walking these pads that seem quite remote despite being well in Metro Melbourne. Some great views of the gorge as well logbook was difficult to sign could do with some new. Paper
A quick find on a lovely sunny day. Log was wet, but we were able to find a spot to sign - could use some maintenance. TFTC
Was unable to sign - needs maintenance because the log is quite wet and disintegrating. Unfortunately we didn't have any replacement logs with us today
14 February 2024 4:30pmAfter a morning of meetings I was looking forward to an afternoon off to go put caching. With the general idea to just head north and pick up whatever catches my fancy at the time, I was brought to this little reserve. With beautiful sunny weather, alot cooler than yesterday, the walk was a breeze. All in all had no trouble spotting the little guy. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
Lucky I checked the map I almost walked right by this one!!! Quick find while avoiding the muggles! TFTC
Nice quick find not far off the beaten track. Logbook completely waterlogged so couldnt sign it. Left a TB. TFTC
Visited Plenty Gorge today with my muggle son, exploring some of the back tracks. After crossing the river via a huge log, this was our first. As we approached gz I handed my phone to muggle son who honed in on the cache and found easily. Lots of scraps of paper inside, so I stamped the nearest empty spot. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Ron.haha ~~
What a lovely walk next to the river. Log is waterlogged and disintegrated.
Easy find. Log is an unsignable damp schmozle. Needs replacing but none on me: David
Lovely, spectaculer, beautiful, magnificent,
Fell over a couple of times and wet shoes

Having taken care of the caches I'd planned to do that were north of the car park, I decided to set out on a southward loop, not entirely sure how many caches I'd be able to check off. This was my third find for the day, and the first of many stumps. This one didn't stump me. Thanks Ron.haha.
TFTC! Attempting to do the 20 km walk today and decided to cut it short for the cache. Nice easy find
We parked in the Blue Lake car park and walked in for a few caches in this area. First for this area, but not first of the day. TFTC.
Morning stroll exploring Plenty Gorge. A pleasant suprise. Trails everywhere I had a great time exploring and caching.
Saw this giant Kangaroo from the other side of the garge.

Enjoyed our walk through the park! Surprised how quiet it is today!
frmen1 and I had decided a while back to target Plenty Gorge. Mother Nature threw heat in our direction so it turned out to be 9 caches (this was #3). We parked at the Yellow Gum Picnic area car park and started this series in reverse. Alas, we only made it to #5 before we called it quits (due to the heat rule). Clues found in some...we assume that there used to be a Plenty Gorge Stumps-Final at some stage. Maintaining a series is hard work. Thankfully no muggles at any time. Lots of kangaroos though who really weren't fussed by our presence. Other logs won't be as verbose as this one lol Found quickly...bit of a slide down. TFTC

Couldn’t sign it - no room on the paper and unfortunately I don’t have any with me to add some.

It wasn't where it was meant to be, but lying on the ground nearby. I hid it as nature intended. Nice spot for it.
I found this cache on my Plenty Gorge Hiking Day. I had to figure out my best route from #10 in the last part of this one as the terrain dropped off into the gully. I soon had it figured out. On the way back to the main track, I had to make way for three mountain bikers at separate times so they must love this spot as I only saw another four in the whole rest of the park. Thanks from D B-A
Beautiful spring day. Introducing our friends to the sport. This was their first find.
On this cool and wintry winter's day I enjoyed a delightful day of walking and photographing and geocaching in this very special place. Given I found quite a few caches on the day and given that day was now, like, four weeks ago and I am only now catching up on my outstanding draft logs, they are all going to be pretty generic. Sorry. I did enjoy them all though and am very grateful to the rather wonderful COs who placed them.
