Nice day out enjoying the winter sun with gazza001. Only managed to do a third of this series, nice drive. Tftc.
Suscoe headed down Giffard Road this morning.
We enjoyed the variety in hiding methods, locations and containers, with some being easier to find than others.
A few caches that are believed to missing were replaced with the Cache Owner's permission.
Thanks to pullw for this series, a favourite for the series.

We started this series at the final first started off hopefull being a series about the drive and (Park and grabs). Guess park and grabs are different for everyone. Didn't take to long to find this one which always sets the mood for a hopeful day. Tftc
Found with FUF009.
A very late start to the day so we thought we'd stay local and do the Gifford Rd series. It started off ok but by the time we got to the end we were frustrated and annoyed.
This series of hides are all ridiculously small sizes (especially a nano) when a bigger cache could be used, often had poor coordinates and a decent portion are disabled. Seriously disappointing hides.
Half hadnt been found in over a year.
What a wasted afternoon

Find # 10788
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
A bit of a late start due to last night being a rather late one / early morning . We stayed local to cache around the area. Grab some puzzles and a couple of the series. Ups n downs all day. A few great, noteworthy, finds and some frustrating DNFs to add to the list.
Once again we ended up in Maffra to find a couple more up there and once again another interesting day had.

Got this on the way home from camping at Jack Smith Tftc this one is a fav. The young fella spotted it before I even stopped the car.
On the way home after a week in Gippsland. This series was on the radar but not as easy as expected with a few dnf's along the way as had others. The ones found had spot on co-ords.
Glad to come to the end of this easy?? series. A sneaky hide that was quickly found.

Thanks for the brilliant end!
We are about to turn around and travel all the way back to Sale so we may revisit some DNFs if there’s still ample light.
TFTC and series which we enjoyed immensely except when we started in the extreme heat, but soon the change arrived.
We had mixed fortunes gaining most of these caches, as varied as their size, shape, difficulty and terrain. Thank you.

I don't think that there's anything I can add that Tally Tiger and Angelique Anja have not already mentioned. Thanks for a fun day out!
For this one I didn't even have to leave the car she had it so fadt

After the year that we had endured, we well knew that our Caching goal of 1,000 caches in one year was never going to happen... Ah well, there's always next year...
Buy we needed one good cache day before this year ended, we also wanted to get some of those souvenirs before time ran out.
Back in... Oh boy. I don't even remember when really, but most of the state was burning with those horrible fires I had put this series of caches aside, but we never got the chance to go and there it was, still sitting in my stored caches folder. So off else went!
Our first real caching day in what's it been six or seven months? Who can even remember anymore? And boy were we unprepared... I think... It's not as though we were missing any tools of the trade, but the mosquitoes were out for a feast as though they had never met juicier or more tasty humans in their little lives. We were mobbed and attacked don every angle and look a little like Zedaycee after his stint with the chicken pox.
We searched high and low along this trail and made most of our finds! We even had one case of extreme team work required!
Thanks for a fun day out!

Why did the chicken cross the road?
It had to expand its Search Radius!

We moved south of Bairnsdale and enjoyed our caching there. Some of these roads less travelled are so great. This was one we targetted and found. Fav point alloc. Our thanks to mcsee&petal for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Found by The Empire + H
We completed this series in reverse order, finding all of the caches this afternoon. Some were easy, some... some where downright evil! We had a good time, going from cache to cache - sometimes just M out of the car, sometimes help from H was needed. Thanks for the cache, and the series mcsee&petal. Favourite point added for the whole series!

Continuing on my journey to Seaspray from last night. Today it's a beautiful day, warm and clear. Today I like Victoria.
A quick find in good condition. Nothing quite like a few takeout on what is actually an Easy cache. Tftc

Day 6 and the last leg of my roadtrip. Bairnsdale back home.
36 caches today. I appreciated the safe parking at all the caches I stopped at today, makes a big difference!
Find #30
A great series all wrapped up bar 3 DNF's which will be sorted at a later date I'm sure.
A great hide here to finish things up. Spotted it from across the road.
Fave point for the series.
Cheers

We had a series of caches to look for today with ilook4geo, but the caching was clearly going to be weather dependent as we were heading west towards predicted rain. We got back to this series before any rain happened and after picking up the remainder here we continued on our road trip for the day. This one, being the last in the series, was also a really good one to find. Many thanks for this series of caches go to mcsee&petal for a creative and well maintained lot of caches.
Did not find as many caches today as the weather turned wet as we went further west with goingplaces2. Each log found was signed and replaced before we moved on. All caches were in good condition with plenty of room to sign on each log. Thanks to each owner for their contribution to the game.
Sun was shining and a day off meant a caching trip with Ski Pair, a plan was hatched with a list of around 70 caches on it as we headed out to tackle the Giffard Road Series and a few other caches we passed along the way. We managed 2 FTF's and I found My 17,000 cache. Theres sure were some tricky hides but we managed to find them all. i dont mind a creative hide using bisons but i hate them just stuck in trees.
Thanks mcsee&petal for the cache.
Thanks mcsee&petal for the cache.
With a rare good day arriving a plan was hatched with Rebel Acts to head out towards Rosedale and complete the Giffard Road series and then loop back through Woodside towards home.
It was a great day with lots of frivolity and fun with the most common comment to each other being 'amateurs' when we found a cache. But we are not competitive!
We picked up a number of other caches outside the series and managed to get to others we hadn't planned on as our progress through the list was impressive. A total of 60 finds for the day!
This was the last in the series on a lovely day travelling through some picturesque countryside. Much enjoyed by both of us. Found every one, and Rebel found his 17,000th.
A favourite for the hard work in setting up the series and the varying hides.

Clever hide like the idea of this a lot.. On holidays from cairns and found with Cached Up Mummy Jules..tyftc
Love it when effort is put in to the cache.
We're starting this trail backwards by the look.... should be a nice drive. Found with MonkeyMann007

Found by Mary and David at 12:40. Sorry our caching along Giffard Road has come to an end. Another FP for this one. Such a variety of sizes, shapes and hides. We've had several hours of fun, entertainment and pleasure finding them all. Trust you are both keeping well. We are both suffering colds, so we didn't get in touch this time for coffee as we passed by yesterday. Our thanks to mcsee&petal.
Got the last one...missed a few in the middle, will have another crack another day
We had our eyes on this series for a while. Out caching with gwd.aussie and D@geo. Thank you mcsee&petal for this series, was a fun day out.
Out caching with gwd.aussie and Sharon14 with the main purpose of the day to complete this series. A good variety of hides with some being easy some not so.

Catching up with some very late logs
We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive by's. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
We really enjoyed this Giffard road series, with good co-ords and a variety of hides we had a very pleasant couple of hours caching
Thanks mcsee&petal for placing this series.

Found with Team Crackers today. Some of them were easy, some were quite hard! All of the coords were good and in some cases helped us to find the caches. All caches were found whichis a testament to the Placers. Many thanks mcsee&petal.
Today we decided to try some surf fishing but didn't do any good, luckily we managed to find some caches and finish off this series. TFTC
Our forty first find for the day. We have been very impressed with the variety caches, and the ingenuity of the hides. Thoroughly enjoyed this series and would have to say probably the best we have done. All caches well maintained, not a single DNF for us even though some of them had thinking hard. Congratulations to the CO for this run.
Straya Day Weekend - 60 Caches - A Guy, a Gal and a Boy - Great Family Day
We decided after a two year absence of serious caching that we need to get out more and gather some finds. Today had us heading East towards Rosedale and Longford before having lunch at Sale, we then tacked the Gifford series before having dinner at Yarram at the pub and heading home.
Nary a cache evaded us, and our competitive juices flowed and we couldn't be separated at the end of the day with 18 finds each, with a few joint finds.
Thank you for all the hiders for their efforts.
We all got out and made our way to GZ, Trent made the find from a distance!
Thanks for the great series of different finds along a nice stretch of rural road.

I happened to see something odd as I pulled over. Man, are my geosenses absolutely on fire today! Unfortunately, physical attributes prevented me single-handedly retrieving the cache so Kato performed the honours. DEEP! TFTC mcsee&petal and for a great day out!
Had a lovely day out caching with Mummy Short Legs with the sole purpose of collecting trails in our local area that we hadn't yet been able to seek out. Very exciting to be hitting this trail finally!
A final find today and our series was complete! We came prepared for the difficulty rating expecting a bit of a hunt but ended up coming up trumps with the first thing we tried. Impressive camo! Thanks for the fantastic, easy to access trail of caches mcsee&petal. Appreciate all the effort put into the camo, containers, placement and maintenance of the series too.

We are currently staying at Woodside Beach and are using caching to explore the local area. We saw your trail on the map and after reading a few of the cache notes decided that it was a must do and we were not disappointed. The variety of hide types never left us wanting, the co-ords are spot on. We found one that was not and we will include the co-ords for that cache on its page, perhaps some cache creep has happened at this one. We are not the type of cachers who move caches just because we think they are in the wrong place or that there is a better place, just over there.
Some of the cache hides had has looking high and low but all were found. After assuming where a cache may be and it not being there we used a process of elimination and actually allowing the GPS to take us to the real GZ which is where we would always find the cache. We found nano's, bison's, some tubes, some sistema's either skulking in trees, hanging in trees, glued to items, shoved in holes, guard rails, magnets have been used, oh and don't forget the posts. All we can say is that there is a large variety and at some GZ's not in the manner we are accustomed to.
Thank you for having consideration to parking safety. We encountered very little traffic and never felt uncomfortable while looking for a cache. We are not certain what this road will be like when the contractors are hauling timber, they will be on a mission we are sure. SL TFTC

Back today to try and complete this series. The weather at least is fine, but the wind is cold. A definite challenge to find these hides. Every one has been a challenge, and interesting.

Yeehaa, appointments all done and dusted and today we are free to cache. We had our eyes on this series which is why we decided an overnight vjsit was in order. Love quiet farm roads and the interesting variety of caches. The coordinates were brilliant on all caches and on one in particular it is the only reason we persisted despite scratching our heads for sometime ( not saying which one as it would be a give it away). Thought we knew where this one was we have similiar at home but then decided it couldnt be as the cache was supposed to be a small, looked around, returned to original and sure enough it was there, not a small but a micro. Well done guys we love your work! Tftc
This was our first cache in the series. Nice hide.
We really enjoyed the great variety of hides today, some were very challenging. The roads were quiet, the country scenery peaceful and the winter weather was perfect. Thanks for this drive by series mcsee&petal.

Giffard Road - A classic Gippsland Country Road series!
A variety of innovative hides, including clever cammo painting, safe parking and all amid fascinating scenery. Definitely not a power trail - a series to be enjoyed at leisure.
A FP for such a sneaky end, our beginning actually, the cattle watched us closely from the paddock as we went about finding just were this cache was located.
Thanks 'mcsee&petal' for creating this interesting series.

Oooh we shone the torch around quickly before getting out of the car, and quickly spotted something amiss. Yay, another nice easy find, it’s freezing out here now!! Time to head home and defrost in front of the fire! SL TFTC
Well today we decided to head further east in Gippsland and do McSee &Petal’s new trail from Longford towards Yarram. Of course we did it the wrong way round, starting with the final. Here I jumped out of the car and headed towards what I thought was GZ. I went to the most obvious spot and spent a few minutes moving things to expose the cache. Nothing there! Mmmmmm, rethink and a further, more thorough look, and I’d found the cache but needed a bit of extra stretch to to retrieve it. The Walking Ladder got it, but I could have easily reached it. He was just about to throw it away and look further but I spied the cache just in time. It certainly tricked him. Welcome back to another of the dynamic duo’s tricky caches. It should be a fun afternoon. Pity we have to rush it.
My caching partner Bigrobv and I wanted to do this series of caches as soon as they were published but we needed to line up a day that we were both free. Today was that day and luckily it was beautiful and sunny. We decided it best to tackle the trail with our bikes and were anticipating a decent ride. We were also lucky enough that the second part of this series got published today while we were out hunting so we were able to alter our plans and continue on until the end. Woohoo! The end! After 42.5kms we had reached the end and went hunting for the last cache in the series. Bigrobv spotted something that didn’t look quite right and sure enough there was the cache. Thanks for placing this series, we enjoyed our day and our ride immensely. We have 2 caches that we had DNFs on and will need to return to look for again at some point but we were very happy with our day. Had we had more daylight we would have looked for them on the way back to the car but as it was we were going to be battling the setting sun. We now had another 14.5km ride to return to our car, a total bike ride of 57kms today! I’m sure I’ll be feeling it tomorrow.
I spotted this cache from the seat of my bike as we got to GZ. It's a nicely made cache that would finish of 40+km of cache riding plus another 14km back to the car total 57km on the bike.. not a bad day. A really excellent trail with only 2 dnfs that we will be back for soon hopefully. Thanks for the awesome trail, I too my helmet to you
