Out caching the Manawatu, following a Popmac event today, with Justlooking00 and taybeeNZ. Some nice wet slippery grass to negotiate here. TaybeeNZ went for the entertaining direct route while JL and I took the side route Smile A great cache - thank you.

Up from Welly with Itchyfeet2020 and taybee nz to top up our Wheel of Challenges monthly points.

Found with JoeyGE0. I have now made my own account and am logging the caches I have found to keep my account up to date. This is a real account. I placed the cache back as found, TFTC thanks for putting this one out! At first this took us around half an hour to get this what a fun cache thanks.

Up in the flat lands today to catch up with a four legged friend so thought we would grab a few caches along the way.
Having just completed GC6NJYT Missoula Reserve (Manawatu) a little while earlier, we knew exactly what we were looking for and actually spotted it off in the distance as we were walking to GZ.
TNLNSL Thanks again all7ofusnz

*Catching up on some logging*
Miss 10 (UnicornLex) and I are staying with the Etherlord Clan over Waitangi Weekend. Today we are heading out for a spot of cache hunting. (What I mean to say is Etherlord is our own personal chauffeur around some interesting caches in Palmy).
We happened to be in this area to pick up an item that Etherlord had purchased, so while he loaded onto the trailer I shot over the retrieve this cache.
Thanks for the cache.

10-Oct-22
So hard to find but so fun once we did!

14-Aug-22
Tftc quick and easy find

15-Jul-22
Second for the day! We found this cache at the end of a few days of rain. Consequently it was very boggy underfoot.

The cache confused me at first as I thought it was part of the neighbour's services. On closer inspection I realised it was the cache and the logbook was quickly extracted.

GZ is a bit hazardous at present with a section of fence blown down and nails exposed.

Interesting space TFTC

#11,103. I had decided to come up to Palmerston North at the spur of the moment after seeing the weather forecast was not as bad as first predicted. Mainly trying to find recently published caches for a challenge series I am working on. But also picking up a few others on the way. Decided today was the day to visit Lakemba Park. The wading attribute was spot on today. The first part of the park name was truly in existence. Glad I had my gumboots on. Not sure if the back fence has always been fallen over but you need to stand on it now to access the cache. Still the cache was where it was meant to be and having found a few like it I had no inhibitions getting the logbook. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks all7ofusnz for hiding it here.

29-Apr-22

09-Feb-22
I was in Palmy and thought I should grab a cache or two despite the very very hot weather.
While on my way to the near by Adventure Lab Caches I decided this would be a good addition to today's finds.
I spotted the likely hide a I approached GZ and knew this would get an FP.

I made a day trip up to Palmerston today to gain some altitude in the November stage of the "Reach the Peak" challenge. I've decided that with the current Level structure we are in to complete each climb as early in the month as possible. No issues here today . TFTC

24-Oct-21
A clever wee container. I first encoundered one of these in cetral Wellington but I couldn't find it, until driving past I saw it at different angle which gave it away. So this was a pleasent find. Was with Crystal Fairy as we headed up to Palmerston North for a weekends caching. TFTC Worth a FAV for the container

24-Oct-21
Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Took a walk to the cache dodging the soggy ground. Cache very obvious but very well done. Thanks for the cache

17-Sep-21
This was actually the first real caching outing for Talla64 and I since the most recent Covid lockdown was lifted, and the day was not the best. Very cold and windy. However we made a plan for PN and came up from Kapiti to find some caches. I'm pleased to say it was another nice quick find. Thanks for the cache, no-one arround today to witness our activities.

I called by here last Sunday but was put off by the high activity around... children at the playground, mothers with prams, camper and caravan parked up; so gave it a pass-by.
No trouble today. Clever find. Nicely constructed. Worth a favourite. Smile Only small problem is the surface water. It's pretty wet in here resulting in wet feet Sad

19-Sep-19
Found on an after-dinner dot-day dash in the dark.
Even by the light of my phone, this hide was obvious to me as I approached.
There is a spray bottle hanging on a string from the fence which threw me off, but I stuck with my geo-nose and soon had the logbook in hand.

Thanks for helping me tick off another dot-day

25-Jul-19
A cute, wee park, No time to stop and or rest. On with the sleuthing.... TFTC

Cool cache, great to find as part of the Mystery at the museum challenge. Another part of the city we have not visited before. Cache all dry, signed and replaced as found. Favourite well deserved.

Miss 8 and 10 happily played on the playground while I narrowed in on the clever cache hide. Well done on a well thought out, well constructed cache.

TFTC Smile

25-Apr-19
Hmm I feel like we found this same hide only a few mins ago lol. What an odd reserve here. Lucky all quiet. We both had a day off so decided a caching day trip was loooong overdue.
Thanks for placing the cache all7ofusnz.

this was saved just for today and to start with the morning looked so bad i really did wonder but the middle of the day even saw patches of sun so i was able to get out and log two caches for today Smile
luckily no one playing tennis but the house owner behind might have wondered what i was at her back fence for I wonder if she knows?
A nicely hidden cache and worth a fav point from me Thank you all seven of you..

#16495. A short walk a quick find of the cache in its nicely constructed hide. TFTC.

03-Dec-18
Day #3 of our four day caching trip to Palmerston North. Today the forecast was perfect for an assault on the Stickman series - fine with light winds in the morning. The weather turned out as forecast, with great views especially along the ridge and it took under four hours from start to finish.
After returning to PN and revitalised by coffee, we decided to find a few more caches in the area. This was a quick find - nicely done. TFTC.

15-Nov-18
Very nicely crafted cache. Gets a fave from me.

09-Oct-18
Last time we were here a dog continued to bark in a nearby house so we decided to come back another day.
Arriving close to GZ I knew exactly where the hide would be seeing a similar hide at another park in the area. The kids loved helping to return the cache before playing at the playground. TFTC

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I now go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will help me get closer to my goal

Decided to go to Palmerston North today to do a bit of geocaching while I'm there, needing to get at least one cache for a dot on my calendar matric but aiming to get about ten caches which shouldn't be too hard to get

No one in the park which meant I was able to go straight over to ground zero locate retrieve sign the log and replace the cache with no stealth required

Thanks for the cache

Have just checked my notes and reckon that my first 4 caches of the day are at the sites of previous finds so that's all good. This one is another goodie in the area and a weoll executed hide. I got no shock when I found it though - which was good. T F T C all7ofusnz.

Day 3 of our visit and today was a trip to palmy North for shopping (not for me thanks) , caching (yup -me!) and a trip to watch the softball featuring my host for the week. The Manawatu brought Blenheim-esque weather and another good day was had by the visitors (us). I managed an EC and my 3rd Virtual of this trip -woop, as well as a couple of solved puzzles towards my 1000 unknown cache finds target as well as a few more. Just a dozen for the day but a good day caching is awesome at any time.

Thanks to all the CO s for their hides.

I have had some holiday leave booked for a while now and we are heading North on the ferry, along with the Cache-Qai, and off to Rangitikei to visit our daughter, her partner and our son. First time this many members of the family have been together for a few years so should be good. The plan was half day in work followed by heading off after lunch, then arriving early evening in W(h)anganui to catch up with kids. We're on the North island for a week so there will sure to be some cache found whilst in the area. My Marlborough and Tsman finds have been inching slowly but surely towards my Manawatu/Rangitikei finds but this trip will be sure to redress tha balance again for a few more years I'm sure.

22-Aug-18
It was a dot day for me today and I had to take my car to work as well, which provided an opportunity to head over to this side of town for some geocaching.
I cheated and looked at the hint before I left work, so I knew what I was looking for.
The wading attribute was accurate today and I had to change my shoes and socks when I got home.
A nicely executed hide.
Thanks.

#10,317. We returned today to Kelvin Grove in Palmerston North to have a look for the Lakemba Park Redux. We had found Lakemba Park II in October last year. GZ was all quiet on this Saturday afternoon … but the grass area was pretty boggy. The cache itself was a quick find. Great hide. It was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Thanks for the placement and for bringing us back to this site again, and …
